Sidd had called me to meet him at the cafe after shoot that evening. I got ready into an attractive black dress and a casual pair of adidas snickers. My make up had to be perfect. I wondered why he wanted to meet me in private? I just said that to calm myself down; but inside I knew what he was going to say. I looked at a rose lying on my desk.
At the cafe:
When I reached the cafe, I realized there were private sectors in which couples came to have private conversations. Just outside the biggest sector, I saw a bodyguard which I assumed to be Sidd's. I made sure my hair was okay and entered the room with a deep breath.
Sidd was leaning over the Poole table, aiming his stick at a ball. His powerful force on the ball caused 6 balls to go in. I gasped in wonder. He saw me staring at him exquisitely and he walked over to me.
"Hey Reem,"
"Oh hey,"
"Sooo, what would you like to drink?"
"A coke should be fine,"
"Kay... waiter - 2 cokes please."
The waiter immediately brought a platter with 2 coke glasses. We sat down at the table next to the Poole table and he gazed into my eyes for a second. I fluttered my eyes around the place.
"So, what did you want to ask me?"
He laughed. "Do I really have to meet you to ask you just a question?!"😂
"Oh, no, I meant..."
"It's fine I'm just kidding."
I smiled.
"Look, I know we're friends so I want to tell you something personal."
I sat up and waited to hear him say what I wanted him to.
"Go ahead, you know you can trust me."
I offered a hand on his and he patted it.
"I don't know how to say this but... I love...."
My eyes widened.
"Tunisha. And she loves me. We both love each other." He sighed.
My ears just blanked out. What? How did he love that snob?
"Oh... err cool!" I said, slowly getting up out of my seat.
"Reem..." he got up too.
"That's great,, err uh huh! That's excellent. Congratulations." I hurriedly ran out of the cafe and to a taxi. I cried and cried - I couldn't get to sleep at nights so I fell dreadfully ill. I had anxiety and I didn't feel wanted. I should have known better to not expect anything from the huge star kid. After all, I'm just a plain boring girl. I didn't once think what Sidd would think about me leaving the cafe strangely. My friendship with him might just have been broken.
