Catfights
Tunisha woke up the next morning.
"Where am I," she said. She was still lying on the sofa, from last night. Only her blanket covered her naked body. Her head was so heavy that she couldn't remember how or when she got here.
Reem walked into the hall, drying her wet hair and her thin eyes widened when she saw Tunisha. She noticed her and began drying her hair more slowly. She was just about to speak when Reem broke eye contact with her and ignored her.
"Rahila, please clean up this dirt, look how much dust came into our house last night." She eyed Tunisha. Tunisha's solemn eyes picked up that indirect insult but she still attempted to talk to her. Tunisha had changed completely. She was no more the hi-fi up to date girl with everything; now she was the poor, desperate and alcoholic brat who needed sex and money.
She walked over to Reem who was brushing her hair.
"Hey, been a long time." She asked.
Reem ignored her and went over to her bed when she accidentally dropped her hair brush.
She tried picking it up, but her baby bump restricted her. Tunisha quickly ran and helped her pick it up. Reem still didn't say anything.
"Reem...."
"WHAT? What do you want? My reputation? My husband? My job? Whatever you are today is because of that negligible attitude of yours and you deserve it!" Reem burst out.
"You have every right to be mad at me..." Tunisha said quietly.
Reem turned around in surprise.
"Every right?" She laughed sarcastically. You never gave me any right so far, how come so suddenly? When you're in need? Selfishness at its height!" She frantically began wandering across the room while Tunisha watched her.
"I need to meet Sidd."
Reem stopped in her tracks. "Stay away from my husband." She said firmly.
