Balcony banta

Jannat's POV:

My hair fluttered around in the wind that blew across the open spaced balcony.

I leant over, gazing down at the busy road and eyeing people as they disappeared around corners.

Out of all this hustling bustling business, a voice from behind me distracted my attention.

"Umm.... idhar koyi bathroom hai kya?"

Vishal.

I secretly rolled my eyes slightly as I turned round to face his freaky face which was contracting as he sulked a lollipop like a small child.

I saw him walking like a cool dude and one of those swaggers down the streets.

He stopped a few distant meters away from me.

I just eyed him annoyingly.

Silence for a few seconds.

"Err, bathroom?"

"Over there." I pointed.

I turned away quickly.

I saw him placing his arms on the white plastered balcony fence thing next to mine.

"Lovely view ain't it?" He looked around with a cute smile.

I smiled at this awkward situation.

"Still not as amazing as New York." He added stubbornly.

I turned to face his side while he kept looking at the busy cars buzzing away.

"India is so natural," I argued. "Don't your eyes hurt by such strong artificial lights they have there?"

"Uh uh." He denied. "The tall buildings have such a beautiful view."

"Go to Taj Mahal, the symmetry astonishes even the ignorant." I smiled inclusively.

"The large cinemas with perfect sound systems are playing super hit Hollywood movies."

"DDLJ is still playing in Maratha Mandir." I smirked.

"Their food is just awe striking for my tongue."

"Visit Raju's Gol Gappa Dhaba; they're so spicy you'll cry but won't stop eating."

"I'm just so used to fast food."

"Come to my house sometime, you'll forget it all in under a week."

He stopped the fun debate between NY and India and turned to face me.

"You want me to come to your house!???!" He teased.

I rolled my eyes and sighed while a few giggles slipped out.

He smiled at this.

We somehow forgot the argument that happened a few hours ago.

Suddenly, rain started pouring down, without a warning - or we were too busy looking at each other that we couldn't be aware of anything else.

Frantically, my foot tripped over a broken tile facing upwards which made me almost fling over the balcony.

"AHHHHH!" I screamed as I felt half of my body getting pushed downwards by gravity.

Just then - the strong sturdy grip of one hand intertwined in mine, caught me.

It was Vishal.

Oh no, not him again. He may have thought I'm so clumsy.

These thoughts closed out of my small circuit as I began to be lost in his eyes.

The rain had completely soaked our clothes, and patted down Vishal's hair.

We just kind of stood in a freeze frame; I was still half leaning over the balcony except Vishal had just held me there.

I swear if he let go........

I was shaking in anxiety. Vigorously, he pulled me forward so my hands fell on his chest automatically. The smile had gone and he stared seriously into my eyes. I felt his hands creep up my arms and he held me tightly.

I found my neck leaning backwards to look up into his eyes.

No count whatsoever of how many minutes may have passed like this; it didn't even feel like one.

💓

"Jannat! Vishal!"

We distanced disruptively from the closeness.

"Jannu you okay?"

"Vishal? Kya hua Bhai?" Sidd and Faisal thumped him on the back but he stood facing me.

"Jannat batao to sahi!"

I broke my gaze towards him and laughed it away.

"Nothing...." I chuckled hesitantly.

Sidd noticed something strange.

"Vishal? I never knew you wear Victoria's Secret perfume......"

"Visual straightened up in surprise.

"Dude what?"

"You smell like those models who cat walk down😂"

"No, it somehow smells of Jannat on his shirt......."

"Ooooh what have you guys been uptooo?" Roshni nudged Jannat with an obvious smirk plastered across her face.

As you can see I've introduced Jannat and Vishal's chemistry and things are gonna get interesting with the squad..... read on to find out what I mean ;)
