As the party ended, I felt heavy with all the alcoholic drinks. On the way back home, it was late night, about midnight when my eyes were just about to close, when I heard an excruciating scream. Our car halted so suddenly that my head bashed on the seat in front of me. "Driver, what is this?" I asked angrily.
"Sir, the car hit a woman."
I gasped and ran out to see who it hit. A woman wrapped in just a blanket was lying on the road, the side of her arm bleeding and a bottle of beer in another.
"She must have been drunk to be walking at this time." The driver said.
"Give m-m-eee y-youuurrr booody," she said, stuttering in her drunk state. When I saw who she was I almost jumped; it was Tunisha.
"We can't leave her here, driver - put her in the back seat, I'll sit in the front."
She was tossing and turning in pain; I cringed. I wondered what Reem would think.
