A date at home
I lost sleep at night, so I developed a high fever which meant no shoot for at least a week. I was so dedicated to work but my mum forced me to stay home.
"Absolutely not! You're not going anywhere. Look at your face, you can't even stand up."
That was true. I had difficulty in even standing up. I felt dizzy. Every time I thought about Tunisha, one side of my brain hurt and whenever I thought about Sidd, the other side hurt! My mum left for work when I was sitting in bed, thinking about my broke life.
Three days had been when I was in exactly the same place, staring at all the other healthy people. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. I got up somehow and opened it. Unexpectedly it was Sidd. He had a worried look on his face.
"Reem, how you feeling?" He was carrying a bouquet of flowers in his hands. He passed it to me. "I wanted to give these to you on Friday, but you left so strangely...."
"Ahaha....Sorry, I..."
Sidd looked at my pale hands rising upto my head. I was going to faint. "Reem!"
I fell into his arms in front of me and he caught me by my stomach. He looked down at my unconscious face and carried me to bed. He seemed to stay there for a few hours, because when I woke up it was early evening.
"Sidd, why did you stay?! You missed shoot!"
"I couldn't leave you in this state, alone."
"My nanny was here.... you should have just...."
There was silence for a few minutes.
"Because I want to spend more time with you."
I looked up at his solemn face.
"Sidd....." I whispered. We both knew we wanted to hug, soon enough we wrapped our arms around each other so tightly like we would never break apart even if the world split. It wasn't a calm hug; we were rocking and trying to touch each other's arms and protecting each other.
