Josh had to work at the restaurant the next morning, but promised little Tyler he would be over as soon as possible. That's where he's headed now, riding his bike to Tyler's house because he thought it he fun for the two of them to ride to the playground.
Josh leans his bike against the side of the house, knocking a couple of times. When there's no answer, he twists the doorknob and finds it's unlocked. He's really got to teach Tyler to keep his door locked.
"Tiny? I'm here!" He calls out, laughing as he hears an excited squeal from down the hallway.
"M comin', Daddy!"
Little stomps echo throughout the whole house as Tyler runs out of his bedroom, flying down the hallway and into his Daddy's arms.
"I's missed 'ou! Gimme kissies!"
Josh obviously can't say no to that; he puckers his lips and gives Tyler a big, fat kiss that makes him giggle. He wipes his lips with the back of his hand, claiming Josh slobbered all over him. The older has his hands under Tyler's bum, holding him up with ease as he carries him back into the bedroom.
"You gotta get dressed, sweetie. We're riding our bikes to the playground! Does that sound like fun?"
"Yes!" The little gasps, quickly pulling on whatever outfit Josh hands him. A pale pink shirt with yellow overalls and his same rain boots. Nothing really matches, but that's okay to Tyler. He loves the outfit his Daddy picked out. "Otay, let's go!"
"Where's your bike?" Josh asks, letting the brunette grab his hand and lead him outside.
Tyler takes him outback to a little shed and pulls the door open, pointing at the little green bike he has. "Tada!"
"Your bike is so cool, baby. I'm jealous," Josh grins, pulling the bicycle out and walking it back to the front door where his own was waiting.
"Daddy jeawous?" Tyler giggles, puffing out his chest. "My's better!"
"Way better," Josh agrees with a nod, handing the bicycle off to the little. "You can ride, right?"
"Yes, Daddy, I's ride big boy bikes," the brunette beams proudly, hoisting his leg over the bike seat and plopping his little bum down. "See?"
"I see, tiny. Just be careful, okay? I want you to ride in front of me so I can watch you. I'll tell you which way to go," Josh says, hopping on his own bike and slowly pedaling behind Tyler.
"Lookie! I's ride wike a big boy!" The brunette giggles, little legs pedaling slowly and handlebars wobbling side to side. "Daddy, lookie!"
"I see, honey, just be careful. I don't want my little baby to get hurt," Josh says, his heart warming at the sight of his little doing something as simple as riding his bike.
The two ride for quite a ways, Josh telling Tyler when to stop and to look both ways and when to turn left or right. The little does a really good job following directions, even stopping at crosswalks when Josh isn't paying attention.
Such is the case now, while Josh is distracted by trying not to hit a bumble bee, Tyler comes to a stop in front of him. The older turns his head at the last second, gasping when he realizes he's about to crash into poor little Tyler.
He swerves at the last second, but somehow their handlebars end up colliding. The unaware brunette gasps, falling off his bike and skidding against the pavement as Josh lands on top of him. The waterworks begin instantly.
"Oh no, oh my gosh baby, I'm so sorry. Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry I didn't mean it. You're okay. Shhh, it's okay," Josh rambles nervously, really hoping Tyler doesn't blame him or get mad.
He scoops the little onto his lap gently, hushing him and kissing his shoulder. Tyler can't stop crying, his poor little hands are all bloody and his knee is, too. He doesn't like blood!
"H-Huwts, daddy!" He sobs, bleeding hands clutching his bleeding knee, basically making him a bloody, crying mess. "M-Make it stop! Owww!"
"I'm so sorry, tiny, it was all my fault. You're gonna be okay. It won't hurt forever. Let's get you inside this store and get you all patched up, okay? And then we can go home and cuddle and I can kiss your booboos all better. Do you want that, honey?" Josh speaks slowly, wiping the boy's wet cheeks and placing small kisses against them.
"U-Uh huh, b-but I's can't wa-walk! I's broken!" Tyler whines, breaking down crying again.
The older picks him up gently, one arm wrapped around his bum while the other moves their bikes one at a time out of the way. Josh carries Tyler inside the store closest to them, a library.
A bell chimes as they enter, the little brunette having to quiet down considering they're now in a library. He hides his face in Josh's chest, sniffling and wiping his nose with the back of his hand, trying not to get blood on anything.
"Hello, can I help you?" The man at the front desk frowns, eyeing the two men in confusion.
"Hi, my boyfriend fell off his bike and got all scraped up. Do you guys have any bandaids?" Josh asks hopefully, turning the little boy towards the man so he can see the injuries.
The man clicks his tongue, squinting at the brunette. "Tyler?"
Said boy picks his head up at his name, gasping upon seeing the man behind the desk. "Mister Dallon!"
Mister Dallon chuckles and waves for Josh to follow him, so he does. "You guys know each other?"
"Tyler works here," Dallon explains, leading them into a backroom.
"Mister Dallon's my boss," Tyler explains glumly, looking at his booboos with a frown.
"Right, Ty is best friends with my littles so I gave him a job here. It's the best place for him," Dallon explains. "You guys can sit down."
Josh does, sitting in a black leather chair and holding his baby against his chest, rubbing his back soothingly. "Ahhh, I see. So you have... Two littles?"
"Beebo and Ryro!" Tyler smiles, finally, forgetting about his booboos until Dallon approaches them with bandaids. "Oh no! Owies! No!"
"Ty, I have to put Neosporin and bandaids on your booboos so they don't get infected," Dallon explains patiently, kneeling before the two.
"No! Wan' Daddy to do it!"
So, with a little smile, Josh puts Neosporin on the pretty Hello Kitty bandages (Dallon claims he keeps them at the library for emergencies) and strategically places them over Tyler's wounds, even the tiny ones on his hands. He gives each bandaid a soft kiss.
"There we go, sweetpea. All better."
"Tank 'ou Daddy!" The brunette giggles, kissing the tip of Josh's nose. He turns back to Dallon who is watching them with a smile. "Mister Dallon, dis my Daddy!"
"Josh," he says, holding his hand out.
"Nice to meet you," Dallon smiles, shaking his hand. "We've been trying to find poor Ty a daddy forever. He seems to really like you."
"Uh huh! Das right! My daddy!" The brunette giggles, little arms wrapping around his Daddy's neck. "Daddy says I's da cutest in da galaxy!"
"Is that so?" The tall man laughs, ruffling the little one's hair. "We should set up a playdate for you, Ryan, and Brendon, huh?"
"Yes! Beebo! Ryro!" Tyler nods vigorously, giving Josh puppy eyes. "P'ease, Daddy, p'ease!"
"Of course, baby," the older agrees.
He swaps phone numbers with Dallon. They plan to meet tomorrow at noon. It's a Saturday and Josh doesn't have work, so it's perfect.
The two hang around for a while longer before Dallon decides he should probably get back to work. They leave the library, Tyler complaining that he wants Josh to carry him because his knee hurts.
"I can't, honey, I have to walk our bikes back home. I'll tell you what; if you walk the whole way back, I'll let you draw pictures on me!"
The little brunette gasps, quickly forgetting about the pain in his hands and knee. "Otay, Daddy! I's be good! I's gotsta draw pwetty pi'tures on 'ou!"
