New Face

Sorry for the cliffhanger and the REALLY slow update to anyone who actually reads this... Blah blah blah, excuses excuses.... Anyways! Here ya go....

Third Person POV

Sam rushed towards the run down hole in the hill, forgetting all dangers towards him--Gabriel the only thing in his mind. It was surprising that none of these "experienced survivers" noticed the odd smell when they first approached the tunnel. Dean hurriedly pulled his little brother away from the place, onto the safety of the dead grass several feet away.
Nothing seemed to register inside Sam's mind, however. He writhed and wiggled in Dean's arms, attempting to get to the darkness which encased the bright smile he was only starting to get to know.
"Sam!" Bright hazel eyes looked up to green ones with tears forming. Dean knew it was risky, but not only was Sam practically begging him to do something, but that was another human being inside there. They had searched for other life forever, and know that the finally had it, how was he going to let it go?

         Gabriel

Gabriel slowly sat up, lungs heaving uncontrollably for fresh air. He looked around, feeling disoriented. Then he remembered. He immediately crouched down to avoid as much gas/smoke as possible, crawling backwards 'till he hit a cold, wet, stone wall. He jerked his hand away on instinct as he felt something cold and wet touch his hand. He whipped his head over to get a glimpse at whatever it was that defiled his hand, ready to fight. Relief rushed through him as he heard the oh-so-familiar yip of his single companion.
"Jano..." He sighed in relief. "We need to get out of here." The small dog's eyes lit up as if he reminded her of something, and she turned around and started army crawling away. Knowing that she wouldn't stop until satisfied and that there was no other way out he reluctantly followed her wagging tail.
When she was confident that they had arrived, Jano pawed at what looked like a pile of rocks. Gabriel was skeptical, but helped her move what seemed to be cave in.
"If we get squished from a cave in and die, I'm going to kill you." If his pet was offended by this she didn't show it, only kept digging at the rocks. The rocks finally started thinning out, and Jano seemed to get more frantic. Gabriel wasn't sure what they were searching for, ignoring the small shred of hope rising inside him. By the time they had a soccer ball sized hole, Jano squeezed through, yipping excitedly. Gabriel pushed at any rocks that would give way, creating a crevice large enough for him to fit through.
He raised his gun, not turning on his scope light for fear of getting detected, and followed his dog. What he saw made him gasp and almost drop his gun.
       "Hey, you."

Sam/Dean

Dean cautiously walked forward, attempting to hold his breath long enough to look through the grey/green smog clouding him.
"Dean.." He felt Sam touch his shoulder, pulling him away from the man-made cave. Dean looked over to Sam, who's eyes were turning red from withheld tears. "It's not worth losing two people..." Sam's voice hitched. Dean knew that it sucked to loose anyone, even if you just met them, but seeing Sam being so broken from someone they hardly knew for a day seemed slightly extreme. It raised suspicion in him, but he pushed it away. Now was not the time for his odd theories. The moment that the two brothers were sharing, one where Sam felt heartbroken and just wanted his brother to be there, and a moment where Dean felt total and complete empathy for his young brother, was interrupted by coughing. Sam's head shot up, his surprise and excitement evident.

Before Dean could say "daddy issues"  Sam was running towards the noise. His long moose-in-training legs carried him around the side of the small opening, towards the tree line in which Dean assumed the other end of the tunnel was. The younger of the two Winchesters felt a wave of emotions bombard him as he saw the figure lying on the wilting grass with his dog. So conflicted was he by these emotions-relief, worry, pride-he almost didn't notice the second figure next to him.

Sam began to rush forward, but was stopped by the strong hand of his elder brother. He looked back to see Dean nodding towards the second figure laying a few feet away from Gabriel. Sam nodded in recognition, but still walked towards Gabriel. Gabriel was still trying to regain his breath, feeling light headed from previous lack of oxygen. Dean, however worried for Gabriel as he may have been, pulled out his cabot gun and walked towards the unknown person.

Gabriel paused his heaving to look up at the owner of the hand on his shoulder, seeing beautiful green/brown eyes staring back at him. A small smile graced their lips, all worries and the end of the world forgotten  as they were lost in their own little world. Sam's eyes fluttered, his cheeks heating slightly which was TOTALLY not a blush as they were ripped apart by gruff talking and slight groaning. Gabriel suddenly remembered, attempting to jump up quickly to go over to Dean. As Gabriel finally got on his feet, he remembered how little oxygen was in his brain as he staggered back and forth.

"Bad idea..." He mumbled, trying to regain his balance. Luckily, a pair of small yet firm arms found his and steadied him. He smiled his thanks, finally gaining enough composure to walk over to Dean with only a small bit of TOTALLY necessary help from Sam.

"Dean, it's ok." Dean turned his princess eyes to Gabriel, still unsure of this new possible threat. "Handsome, hot, possible threat..."    Dean nearly rolled his eyes at the thought that entered his mind without permission.

"This is my brother. Cas." At the sound of the familiar voice, the boy laying on the ground looked up. His shockingly blue eyes almost instantly met Dean's, causing him to freeze momentarily at the sight of the boy who stared at him just as intently.

"He's kinda hot... Oh wait... Holy sh-"

Ok, there's that! Sorry again for being late. Anyways, quick question... or two...

1. I have a plan on where to take a plot, which would include a few crossovers with the original Supernatural plot, and (SPOILER ALERT) would include Alaistar. (MORE POSSIBLE SPOILERS) MAY have to do with.. mutations...

2. Who do you guys think the last thoughts belonged to? XD :P you may never know......!
