Force Sight - part 8
Last part (I think) in my Force Sight series!!! Hope you'll enjoy it. This took a lot of thought, and I think it only fair to warn you; this is SUPER long. Like thousand of words long. Like maybe I should have made another part long. So, hope you like long parts, cause you'll really enjoy the following!!
Time was out, but even as the thought occurred to Kanan, the same time began to slow down. The monster they called Haunted now seemed to embody the name, as his face appeared to glow with pleasure the closer Ezra got.
Ezra's face was contorted with terror only twenty feet away from the beast. But as Kanan watched in slow mode, the teens face froze; then it relaxed, and he closed his eyes.
Kanan couldn't believe what he was watching. Ezra was just giving up? That was so unlike him! Kanan continued watching through his deep connection to the Force that let him 'see', and he struggled to fight the hold Haunted had on him, but it was in vain. There really was nothing he, Kanan Jarrus, Jedi Knight, could do to help his son. Kanan blocked himself from the force so he didn't have to watch. The last he saw of Ezra was him ten feet away, his face a blank mask, Haunted posed in victory.
Kanan closed his sightless eyes. His only regret was that it was Ezra and not him out there.
Silence.
And then a sound. It sounded like the Force; not the force that Haunted was using, but the light side force. Jedi can tell the difference, and Kanan definitely knew this was light side Force.
But it wasn't his, and Ezra couldn't move; what was going on?
***
Sabine cried her heart out for the second time in her life. The knife Hera had stabbed in her moments ago seemed to be twisting, digging deeper, and Sabine could do nothing against it. One of her worst fears had come true; she had become useless, extra, just another person, someone who would probably end up a beggar cause the blind can't work. Her tears soaked her face, and she felt underwater.
The only thing she had to hang onto right now was Ezra. He didn't seem to mind her new disability. She sniffed as she thought of him, and unconsciously began reaching out to him. The more she thought of him, the more she felt herself gravitating to him, pulling at him, wishing she could be at his side, right now. The pull became stronger, and suddenly she felt weird. She felt like Ezra was trying to pull her back toward him too!
'But that's impossible,' Sabine thought. But something in her told her it wasn't. It was almost an audible voice.
'Sabine, it's not impossible.' Now she was hearing things?! 'No, your not hearing things. Well, I mean I guess you are, if your hearing me. But if you can hear me, I need a favor-like right now. Can you picture me in your mind, as strong as you can? And then picture yourself next to me. I think this will work...'
Ezra. Was in. Her mind.
'Yes I'm in your mind, we've already been over that, now could you please do as I've asked? We're kinda on a time crunch here!'
Sabine shook her head. At least she was alone, and if this really was just her, no one had to know about it.
'Except me.'
'Shut up Ezra!' She shouted in her mind. The voice-thing went quiet, and Sabine figured she would do as it asked. Worst case scenario, she just got happy by thinking of Ezra. Best case, this would work. She smiled and did as the voice asked.
She started thinking of the times he and her were together. All the battles and fights they had been in, from the very beginning till now. She thought of how he had grown, and her as well, and how much they've changed. She thought of all the times she had called him 'kid', and the time she had grabbed him and flew threw the air together with only one jet pack. She thought of how much fun that had been, and finally, she pictured him the last time she had seen him, when they were running for the Ghost before she had her accident. She delicately pictured his carved face, his bright, shocked yet determined blue eyes, and his matching, vibrant, soft blue hair. She pictured herself stroking her fingers through it.
And then she realized she was. With a shock she pulled her hand back, but then put it back on the hairy thing. And she could see.
She opened her eyes threw Ezra's eyes, and Haunteds confused and distorted face came into view. She almost screamed. She had never seen such a thing. Suddenly Ezra's voice came to her.
"Sabine, don't think about anything else, I just want you to imagine pushing this guy against the wall with all your strength! Place both your hands on my shoulders, and then go!" With her years of instant obedience drilled in her, she immediately did everything she had been told. She lowered and placed her hands on his shoulders, and thought of Haunteds ugly body banging against the wall after she had thrown him there.
"Come on Sabine; harder!" Ezra shouted at her, and she squeezed his shoulders, feet diving into the ground, teeth clenched, and she snuffed everything out of her brain except Haunted against the wall. Every ounce of energy she had she dedicated to picturing and pretending to slam this thing into the wall.
Slam it into the wall.
Slam it into the wall.
Slam it into the WALL!
"ErraaaAAAGGGG!" A scream erupted from her lips as Sabine gave it her all. And then, she felt something leave her body powerfully, just before she blacked out.
***
Kanan heard a scream, and then felt a powerful burst of force, before something slammed into something else, and he was released from his force hold. He fell to the ground heavily, and panting, he tried to reopen himself to the force. He heard someone speaking excitedly in the background, but he was too confused to process it.
He felt gentle hands on his shoulders, and he was turned over so he lay flat on his back. He groaned and tried to see through the force. It took a moment, but as it started working, he felt a hand on his face, and he knew he didn't need to see to know who that was.
"Hera..." he murmured, reaching up with his hand to place it over hers.
"Shh, dear, it's ok. Rest a moment, Kanan. Then we can share stories." Her gentle voice almost convinced him. But it was then he could 'see', so he figured he would get up now.
"No," he said, sighing, as he slowly sat up. Her hand stayed on his cheek and he squeezed it. He knew she was smiling, and he also knew she was about to admonish him for sitting up.
"Now, Kanan,..." He wasn't about to let her finish that sentence. He gingerly brought her hand down from his cheek to in front of him, and she stopped talking as he kissed it. He pulled her hand back, and neither of them moved. Then Hera flung her arms around him, and Kanan held her tight as he felt her stifled sobs.
A moment later, she pulled back.
"Oh Kanan, I thought you were going to die, and I left you with that thing! But then I came back, and you were on the ground, and I was so afraid..." she whispered her fears to him, and he hugged her again.
"But I'm fine," he replied, for her ears alone. "And your fine, so we're both fine." She squeezed him, and then his words seemed to take affect, because she quickly released him.
"Kanan! The kids!" Kanan immediately recognized their word for the rest of the Ghost crew and he stood up as fast as he could.
"Are they ok?" He asked her, trying not to have any preconceived notions before the truth was revealed. Hera didn't answer him directly; instead, she started dragging him forward.
"They're over here," she replied, worry lacing her voice. Kanan obediently followed, and they quickly reached their kids. They both knelt, and Hera looked up at Zeb, who had politely let Hera go after Kanan by herself.
"Zeb. Are they?..." Hera couldn't finished her question. She grabbed Kanans hand, and he never knew she had such a strong grip.
Zeb looked at Hera.
"I checked, and they're both definitely out of it, and from the looks of it, they'll be out of it for a while. But they both have pulses," Kanan and Hera sagged back in relief. That was all that mattered. As long as they were still alive, then every thing could be worked out.
"Thank you, Zeb." Kanan said, and the two swapped smiles. "Let's get them on the Ghost and get out of here." Zeb grabbed Ezra, and Kanan and Hera both carried Sabine, because Kanan still wasn't at full strength.
The five got on the Ghost and found a frantic Chopper who had been searching everywhere for Sabine. He yelled at them profusely when they came on board. Finally, as Hera was about to take off and the teens were safely in the med bay, Zeb stomped his foot on Choppers head.
"Karabast, Chopper, I swear, if you don't shut up, you really will be a bucket of bolts!" Zeb growled menacingly at the the astromech, and Chopper fell silent. As soon as he lifted his foot though, Chopper zapped him, and Zeb howled, and then chased him through the ship, screaming threats of murder.
Hera sighed and shut the door to the cockpit. She talked with Fulcrum and he told her to go to the following coordinates, so she set them up, made the jump, and left the cockpit.
***
Kanan pulled the sheets up a little higher on Ezra, and patted them, like it would make him more comfortable. He heard Zeb storming around, and Choppers high pitched 'hee hee hee's', and he shook his head. He made sure Sabine was just as comfortable in the bed she had only recently left, and they sat back in the only couch in the room.
He sighed, and was about to drift off himself when he heard the door swish open, then shut. He heard her walking around the room, checking on the kids, and he sat up and made room for her on the couch.
Hera sat next to him and lay her head on his shoulder. He placed his head on hers. Neither of them said anything. There was nothing to say that hadn't already been said, or that wouldn't be a lie. They had both thought about saying the old 'they'll be ok', but even they didn't know that. The med droid had examined them, and then said that he can't tell much until they wake up. So, the rebellions best pilot and the Jedi Knight huddled together on that couch, doing the only thing they could-wait.
***
Many hours later Hera blinked, and then opened her eyes fully. She yawned, and realized she had been asleep. She smiled as she shuffled back, seeing her pillow was still asleep as well. He was snoring ever so lightly, and Hera knew that meant he would be asleep for a while.
She stood from the couch and stretched, then she walked over to Sabine. She gently rubbed Sabines face, and ran her fingers through her hair. Hera had always loved doing that. She didn't have much experience with hair, so whenever she got the chance, she liked to play with Sabines hair. She used to play with Ezra's too, until Sabine had cut it for him when he wanted to look more mature. Hera had been against it the whole time, but she had to admit he looked much more his age now.
Seeing Sabine wasn't going to wake up, she walked over to Ezra. She picked up his hand, and noticed how much harder it felt from the last time she had done this. It felt stiff, and old, though Hera supposed that with all he had been through, that only made sense.
As she stroked his hand, all she wanted for for him and Sabine to wake up.
"Please wake up," she whispered.
"Please."
Hera heard the door open behind her, and Zeb walked in. She turned to him and put a finger to her lips, then pointed to Kanan. Zeb followed her finger and saw Kanan. He nodded and slowly walked over to her.
"How are they?" He whispered. Hera looked back at Ezra.
"Still asleep." They had all decided to refer to it as 'sleep', because they wanted them to 'wake up'.
Zeb heaved a great sigh. Halfway through it he froze. Hera noticed and looked up at him. He was staring wide eyed at Ezra. Hera immediately looked at Ezra's face, eager to see whatever Zeb had. She saw nothing. She frowned, before she felt it. Heart beating faster, she glanced at her hand, and saw that Ezra's hand was ever so slightly tightening around hers. She held her breath.
"Garazeb, did y-" "Yes of course I saw that Hera! He's alive!!" The two stared at each other in glee. Then, still holding Ezra's hand, Hera stood and hugged Zeb. He hugged her back, and they shared a special moment together.
Hera sat back on Ezra's bed, continuing to rub his hand. Zeb looked on with excitement.
"Come on kid," he said, gruff joy in his voice. "I can't take Chopper apart by myself." Hera smiled and squeezed Ezra's hand.
"Come on Ezra," They both stared at him.
Maybe he heard them. Maybe he just decided to wake up. But anyway, it was then that his blue eyes pierced the room, and he looked around, confused.
"Ezra!" Hera shouted. She jumped on him and hugged him hard.
"Hh...Hera...." Ezra muttered her name. "Hey Hera. Ssorry I scared you." Hera pulled back.
"You did more than just scare me, Ezra. But you're awake now, and that's all that matters." Ezra nodded tiredly.
He turned his head in the direction of Sabines bed. "Hh..how is she, Hera? Is she ok? Is she awake?"
Hera replied, "She's, fine, and no, she's not yet awake. But she will be soon." Ezra frowned.
"She's not awake? Wait, how long have I been in here?" Hera had to think about that one.
"About 10 hours kid." Zeb stepped up from where he was. Ezra cracked a smile.
"Hey Zeb, good to see you again." Zeb smiled and fist-bumped his friend. It distracted Ezra, but not for long. He again looked at Sabine. Hera noticed and followed his line of gaze. Sabine was still in bed, her back turned to them. Hera looked back at Ezra. She was alarmed when she saw his eyes closed. She tried to speak calmly.
"Ezra, I need to you stay awake. You can't-" "She's awake." Zeb and Hera swapped glances. Ezra opened his eyes.
"She's awake." He repeated. Hera didn't know if she should entertain him or tell him the truth. Ezra then turned to Hera. He frowned.
"I'm not crazy, Hera. She's awake, and she's listening to us. Go see," he said gently. Hera stood up and walked over to Sabines bed.
Zeb frowned.
"Hera, she might not-you might not want..." Hera glared at him and he shut up. But Zeb remembered. He knew Sabine probably did too. This might not be a good idea.
Hera knelt at the head of the bed so she was eye level with Sabine.
"Sabine?" She whispered. Sabine opened her eyes and Hera grinned, but then she remembered she couldn't see, and her smile fell. She continued talking though.
"Sabine, thank the Force your alright! We were so worried...." To Heras surprise, Sabine closed her eyes and rolled over. Hera stared at her. Did Sabine not know where Hera was? Did she think she was on the other side? She stood and walked to the other side, in between Ezra and Sabines bed. She was about to talk to Sabine again when Zeb broke in.
"Hera," he said, in his deep, sincere voice. Hera looked up at him. Zeb spoke quietly and gently.
"Remember what you said to her?" Hera frowned, and Zeb realized she had never meant to say what she did. But she had, and there was no going back from that. He exhaled, realizing he would have to remind her.
"When you came on the ship to grab me so I could help Ezra and Kanan, Sabine offered her help. You, *sigh*, you told her no, that she would be 'more of a hindrance than a help'." Hera's eyes opened wide and she covered her mouth with her hands. She was horrified.
She looked from Zeb to Sabine and back to Zeb. Tears began falling from her eyes. She tried to say something, but no words came out. Instead, she wrapped her arms around her midsection and ran out the door.
Ezra sat up in bed. He was wide awake now. The two men watched the pilot race from the room, and continued staring at the door, even when nothing was happening. Then Ezra shook his head.
"She actually said that, Zeb?" Zeb nodded.
"Dang it, Hera," Ezra muttered. "Your like her mom, you can't say stuff like that." He sighed deeply, rubbing his hands on his face. He asked Zeb, "Where's Kanan?" Zeb pointed to the couch, and grinned quickly. Ezra peered around the Lasat and saw his master sleeping. He also noticed the empty slot on the couch next to him and put two and two together. He smiled.
"Aw, they do still like each other." Zeb laughed.
"Of course they do, silly." A feminine voice came from Ezra's right and he turned, still grinning, and saw Sabine, also sitting up, smiling.
"Hey, look who's calling who silly!" Sabine coughed out a laugh. Ezra looked at Zeb.
"Zeb, uh, do you think you could, maybe, like, I don't know, see if you can't push my bed closer to hers or something so, ya know, she can see and stuff..." Zeb could barely keep his laughter to a dull roar at Ezra's stammering. Ezra frowned, but even Sabine joined in, so he broke into a smile. A small, small, smile.
Still shaking his head, Zeb pushed the wheeled bed with little effort closer to Sabine, and she held out her hand for him. He took it, and immediately saw her shoulders sag as she realized that after all that, she could again see.
"Hey," He said gently. "Hey," she smirked back. She squeezed his hand and he looked around the room to she could see. When he came to Kanan, they both saw he was up and rubbing his neck.
"Kanan!" Ezra yelled. "Kanan, Kanan!" Ezra really wanted to talk to his master, but he didn't know what to say or where to start, so he basically ended up just saying 'Kanan!' multiple times. Everyone laughed, and Ezra blushed. They calmed down, and Ezra got serious.
"No but really Kanan, it's so good to see you awake, I was just thinking of -" "Ezra. I've been telling you this for years. When a person wakes up, what's the first thing your not supposed to do?" Ezra groaned. He folded his free arm.
"You talk like I'm a baby," He said grouchily. Sabine grinned.
"Mh, well you've got the 'sounding like a baby' part down." Zeb laughed.
"And he looks like a baby too," Sabine joined in the laughing. Ezra glared at them.
"Ha ha, real funny; I am so getting you guys for this." Zeb and Sabine didn't care. He was in the sick bed-what could he do?
Kanan could feel Ezra actually thinking of something to do so he decided to intervene.
"Alright, alright, settle down. Ezra, you had a question?" Ezra glanced at Sabine and Zeb.
"Are they done?" He asked. Kanan looked at each of them.
"They're done," he replied, in a slightly threatening tone, in case they weren't actually done. But the two settled down and Zeb sat on Ezra's bed. Kanan walked forward and sat on Sabines bed.
"Now you may begin Ezra." He nodded.
"So, Master, I do have a quick question; what happened?" Kanan smiled. "A 'quick', question?" Ezra grinned. "Yup. Continue." Kanan shook his head.
"Ok, so we went to rescue the commander. We arrived at his cell, but he was dead, and we soon found his killer, the creature called Haunted. Interesting name, and he seemed to embody it. We began to fight him, but he was so much stronger, being, what, he was probably almost eight feet Ezra?" Ezra nodded. Kanan continued.
"We fought him in a losing battle, and we got him KO'ed. We recovered some of our energy and started walking away, but he came too, and eventually got us in a mysterious force, push-pull I'll call it for now. He began pulling Ezra towards him, while simultaneously holding me in place. Ezra, when you got closer to him," Kanan took a breath.
"I...I blocked myself off from the Force so I didn't have to watch. I couldn't. I was so helpless, it was so horrible." Ezra put his hand on Kanan's. He smiled gently. Kanan continued.
"I'll never forget that feeling. But then I felt the light side of the force."
Sabine broke in. "You can tell the difference?" She asked incredulously. Kanan nodded.
"Most Jedi masters can, and especially in that situation, where the light and dark side contrasted so greatly."
"Wow," Sabine whispered.
Kanan turned his head to in between Sabine and Ezra. "But I couldn't see what was going on, so I don't know what happened. I think I heard a scream, and then I was released. Hera helped me get to you too and we brought you to the Ghost. Ezra, can you fill in the blanks?"
"Sure," Ezra agreed. He cleared his throat. "So I was preparing myself to die, because I didnt know what I could do. But then I, I don't think 'felt' is the right word, but it's the best I have, so I'm going to use it; i 'felt' Sabine somehow, and I 'felt' like she was supposed to save me. I don't know how. I just, did. So I reached out to her half-heartedly, not thinking it would work. But it did. And we could talk. And I told her tha— I guided her on how to come to me through the Force, she listened, and she did it, and she arrived right next to me. Then, guessing on what to do, I felt like maybe if we put our; dang, what should I call it....'forcenss', if you will, we put our 'forceness' together, and shoved Haunted back. He slammed into the wall and blacked out. Then, I guess, we did too, and we only just now woke up."
Nobody said anything for a minute. It was a lot to take in.
Ezra then spoke. "Kanan how did it happen?"
Kanan scratched his shoulder. "I don't rightly know Ezra. There are more mysteries about the Force than knowns; it looks like you stumbled across a mystery."
Sabine wanted to ask her question.
"Kanan, I never mentioned this before, but about the time you two were fighting Haunted, I began I feel tired, even though I had been doing literally nothing. Like I felt like I had been working out for hours, and my muscles were drained. What was that from?"
Kanan blinked. He hadn't seen that coming. "You said it was about the time when we were fighting Haunted?" She nodded. Kanan 'looked' from Ezra to Sabine.
"Well, all I have to say is that Ezra would have been feeling exactly like that when we were fighting." Neither Ezra nor Sabine got that immediately, but Zeb did. His eyes widened and he laughed.
"Ooh, you guys really are connected! Let's test this. So when I hit Ezra-" he smacked Ezra in the shoulder. "OW!" Ezra yelled. He glared at the Lasat who was frowning.
"Aw man, it didn't work." "I wouldn't call it quits yet Zeb," Kanan joined in. "They may not feel everything, but I bet they only share pain when it really hurts." Zeb was back to grinning. Ezra finally understood, and his eyes widened. Zeb asked permission of Kanan, and since it actually had a purpose, Kanan nodded. Grinning with glee, Zeb dramatically pulled his right arm back.
"Nonononono...." Ezra crouched down, terrified. Zeb laughed as he released his roundhouse.
"OWWWW GARAZELLIOUS YOUR SO DEAD!" Zeb fell of the bed laughing. Ezra furiously rubbed his throbbing shoulder, glaring at Zeb, and Kanan watched Sabine. He had seen, as Zeb came in contact with Ezra, he 'watched' her flinch, and he realized the two really did share a deep connection. Another one of those Force mystery qualities.
Kanan didn't say anything to them though, figuring to let them figure it out, and he went to talk to Hera when he realized she wasn't there. He turned back to the three.
"Hey, where's Hera?" Sabine immediately looked down at her lap, and Ezra and Zeb looked at each other. Kanan could feel the atmosphere had immediately changed, but he had no idea why.
"Uhh," Zeb began. "Uh, she's probably in thee, uh, in..."
"The cockpit!" Ezra finished Zebs sentence, glaring at him. Zeb shrugged his shoulders sheepishly. Kanan had literally no idea what was going on, but he was about to find out.
"Okaayy, I'm going to go see her."
"Yup, ok,"
"Bye!"
Kanan walked out of the room shaking his head.
Ezra, Zeb and Sabine watched him leave. Ezra turned to Sabine.
"Sabine,...I'm sorry for what Hera said. I know, you know she didn't mean it." Sabine nodded.
"I have to talk to her," She whispered.
***
Kanan walked in the cockpit and was hit with a wall of sadness. He went over to the pilots seat and found Hera...crying? This was definitely no ordinary day.
He knelt down to her level and rubbed her shoulders, shushing her, whispering. She soon calmed down and sat up, and Kanan sat opposite her. He really, really wanted to ask her what was wrong, but he realized that wasn't his place at the moment and that he needed to just wait.
So he did. A few sniffling minutes later Hera sighed.
"Sorry love. When I went back to get Zeb to help you two, Sabs, Sabine wanted to come too. I told, *sniff*, I told her no, and, and that she would only be a, a hindrance..." Hera put her head in her hands and sobbed. Kanan comforted her while the thought crossed his mind, 'These two need to talk.'
***
For the next few hours the men of the Ghost crew walked on eggshells. Sabine knew she needed to talk to Hera and Hera knew she needed to talk to Sabine but neither wanted to start the process.
The men tried to stay quiet and away from the emotionally unstable ladies. Once poor Zeb bumped into Sabine in the hallway and could still feel her fiery glare half and hour later. He stayed in his room the rest of the night.
After a super quiet, awkward dinner Ezra and Kanan met eyes. They began to put their plan in action. When Sabine sat in the common room/comm. room, Kanan went to get Hera. He told her to meet him in the comm. room to talk.
Five minutes later Hera came in, and just as she walked in, Kanan shut and locked the door behind her, while Ezra shut and locked the other door. Hera looked around, confused, until she saw Sabine glowering in the corner and realized what was going on.
"Sorry ladies, but we've decided you need to talk, so here you go! Have fu-*smack* OW!" Zeb laughed when he smacked Ezra, and the chase began. Hera rolled her eyes, then turned to Sabine on the couch. She walked over and sat down.
Sabine stayed where she was, her knees to her chest, arms around them. She couldn't see Hera but she heard her sit down. She really didn't want to be the one to start this, but before she could stop herself, her mouth said, "Hey,"
Hera looked at her in surprise. "Hey," she said back. Sabine didn't say anything, and Hera knew it was her turn. Grabbing the end of her lekku, she played with it as she spoke whatever came to her mind.
"Sabine, I'm so sorry. This is all my fault. I should never have said those words. I have excuses, good ones too, but I know those mean nothing to you, because all you heard were my wrong words. I don't really know what else to say or how else to put 'Im sorry'. I messed up big time here, and I don't expect you to forgive me. Just, please, talk to me?" Hera sniffed as she asked the question, waiting for Sabines response. It wasn't long in coming.
"Hera, saying that what you said hurt me would be a Lothal sized understatement. I was almost more hurt than when my family gave up on me when I was younger. When our everyday life is to bring people hope, you made me feel hopeless. And the fact that it came from you, Hera Syndulla, my spacemom, hurt the most. Mothers should never say that.
But what do I know. Both of mine said that to me." Sabine struggled to keep it together. She unfolded herself, putting her feet on the floor and leaning on her elbows.
"I know you said your sorry, and I believe you. I don't think you meant to say those words. What I just said, that's what I felt in the heat of the moment. A percentage of the thoughts that ran through my then bleeding mind. But now I think you are sorry, and I don't think you'll ever say anything like that to anyone, well except maybe Thrawn, ever again."
Hera smiled through her tears.
"Sabine, I am so sorry you felt like that, but thank you-"
"Hera," Sabine quietly interrupted. "I have to tell you that I can't forgive you right now." Hera dropped her smile. "I just can't. I just very recently forgave my family, and it's been years. I'm not saying this will take that long. I think the first ones the hardest. But let's just take this slowly." Finally Sabine turned and looked at Hera. She had a tight smile in place, and Hera gave her a warm smile. Then the two hugged.
They came apart, and the door on Kanans side opened. They could still hear Zeb and Ezra clomping around, screaming death threats on the other side, and the three knew it would be a while before that side got unlocked.
Hera glanced slyly at the Jedi.
"Hey, how did you know we were done?" Kanan grinned.
"A magician never reveals his secrets."
"Even when threatened by a Mandalorian?" Sabine stood up and folded her arms menacingly.
"A strong, fearless, kickbutt warrior Mandalorian, who also happened to be accompanied by the galaxies greatest pilot of all time? Still gonna keep that secret?" Kanans eyebrows rose and he took a step back, his hands coming up defensively.
"Ok ok, I give up, I was eavesdropping, don't kill me!"
"WHAT?!" Sabine yelled. She tackled a surprised Kanan and took him to the ground. Hera helped keep him down there, laughing.
The three were playing around when Ezra's door burst open and Zeb and Ezra fell on top of Kanan. Sabine and Hera died laughing at Kanans facial expressions and the family's laughter lasted deep into the night.
