Dont get any ideas
Laser blasts flew through the air as two figures struggled to dodge and weave around the deadly plasma. White armoured soldiers marched relentlessly forward, firing from the hip (like they could hit anything anyway). The market that was peaceful mere moments ago was now burning and thick plumes of smoke rose into the air.
"Well this is another fine mess you've gotten us into."
The brightly coloured woman in Mandalorian armour remarked as she unleashed a small flurry of returning fire.
A trooper crumpled but his place was immediately taken by his comrades.
"Hey, it wasn't my fault that your distraction didn't work properly!"
The young man snapped back as he ignited his emerald bladed lightsaber.
A stormtrooper got a lucky shot and a length of superheated plasma slammed into his leg, causing him to falter and fall.
"Ezra!"
The Mandalorian stopped and turned back, helping Ezra to his feet.
"Go! Get out of here!"
He tried to wave her off but it was no use. She bent down and scooped him up under her arms and helped support his weight as they attempted to run. The amount of laser fire intensified as the stormtroopers grew more and more frustrated at not hitting anything.
"Sabine! Down there!"
Ezra pointed towards a dark alleyway that seemed to be deserted. Sabine nodded and changed direction, the laser fire all but stopping as the imperials could no longer see them. Sabine noticed a small doorway and opened it, revealing a small, cramped space. It would do. She moved inside and set Ezra up against the wall, their bodies pressed tightly against one another.
"Uhh...Sabine?"
Ezra cautiously asked, blushing lightly.
She regarded him with her emotionless mask.
"Don't get any ideas, Ezra."
They stayed silent until they heard the Imperials marching down the alley.
"Check all the doors. I don't care if you have to blast them open. I want those rebels dead."
Footsteps could be heard outside and Sabine held her breath, hoping they wouldn't notice the door.
The door suddenly caved in as blaster fire destroyed the small piece of metal. A small, black object was thrown into the room, making ominous beeping sounds.
"No! Sabine!"
Using the last remainders of his strength, Ezra force pushed Sabine out of the hideaway. She flew into the troopers, her metal armour rendering them unconscious. A small star appeared for a brief second as the grenade exploded, Ezra taking the full force of the blast.
"Ezra! No! Ezra!"
Sabine slouched down to her knees, tears brimming in her eyes. She never got to tell Ezra how she felt about him. He had really matured over the last four years and she had developed what others might call feelings of love. Now that chance was gone forever as Ezra's smouldering corpse slumped out of the room, collapsing on the ground. He was dead. And she never got to tell him that he was her cyar'ika. Her sweetheart. Her love.
Sorry about the quality, it's late at night for me and I've had a bug day. SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!!
