Afterword
Told you it was cliche! hahaha
Let me explain a few things.
I know the impossibility of meeting a stranger and falling in love with that stranger after a mere two-days' time. Sa fiction lang 'yun nangyayari (That Thing Called Tadhana, The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, etc), but I personally know an old married couple who met each other on a bus!
So yeah, I know it's improbable, impractical and ridiculous. However, indulge me.
I've been married for a few years already and I'm perfectly happy with my husband, tyvm. That doesn't mean I lack imagination or never thirst for a fictional romantic adventure though. Hence, this story was born.
Let me just make it clear though that I don't encourage whirlwind romances or one-night-stands. If you want to do it, it's up to you but I don't encourage it. I'm a believer of the saying "each to his own".
Second, I want to say that I didn't dwell much on what happened to Charles because I don't think I can do justice in explaining how depression works. We've had a couple of diagnosed cases in my family and let me tell you, depression doesn't have a single face. Not all depressed people look the part. A depressed person can act or appear just as normal as a happy person and it isn't easy to notice it unless you are familiar with the signs or you're actually looking for them. So yeah, I hope that clears some subconscious queries you might have about the story.
Thank you for reading this story. <3
PS, Go to Batanes. You won't regret it.We didn't regret it although we were storm-stayed for an extra day and had to buy MLA- hometown tickets again. (hindi kasi connecting flight).
