I stumble upon wattpad accounts that have tons of followers but their books aren't actually that famous. If I look back, I have two books with 100k+ views, and one with 600k+ views, however, if i compare my number of followers with theirs, the difference comes in Ks, and honestly, i'm not disappointed that they have more followers than i do, it's just that people don't like my books enough to press that follow button 😔 tragic !!  y'all make me wonder if i'm a failure in this field of clowns clowning themselves by writing clownery 🤢

*Ignore grammatical/spelling errors ☺️ thank you*

Jeongguk sighed for the nth time, diverting his gaze from his camera to the gore poster and vice versa. He got his first opportunity to record a movie premiere including the backstage interviews, of the movie 'train to daegu', everyone were going crazy about. The feeling he got when the job was assigned to him was a mixture of immense joy and excitement, though as soon as the name got disclosed, his heart stopped.

Taehyung was playing the lead character in the movie, side by side, Choi Minho. Jeongguk was supposed to be happy. Seeing the love of his life after so long should've made him squeal, but the fact that they hadn't had a proper conversation in over a month made him feel otherwise. He didn't understand what was causing this repulsion, the out rage of emotions, coldness in behaviour, it was just all too much for him to take in at once.

The last time they talked, was a week ago, when Jeongguk blocked him for being a cute naive baby. Honestly, he could've been straight forward and said he was hoping to have sex, but sheesh! his brain always liked playing dumb when he needed it the most. Taehyung does not understand subtle gestures, and Jeongguk should've been a little considerate about it. Or, probably, Taehyung assumed he was over understanding, and might end up making things awkward if he brought up sex.

Basically, they're both dumb af, and who's fault is it? mine, duh!

Any ways, Jeongguk stepped out of his shared vehicle, ready to walk inside the venue from their back stage area, when another car rolled from his side towards the red carpet. He kept staring at it, his legs automatically paddling in the direction he wasn't supposed to go in, because he wanted to see, whom that shiny car belonged to.

Jeongguk didn't exactly stand in the crowd of fans and reporters, who were going bananas, pushing each other to get inside the boundary and touch the person, that was going to step out. His posture remained straight as he stood far away, but close enough , to see the royal entity.

The car door opened.

Jeongguk blinked and tilted his head.

A shiny shoe wearing foot stepped ou—"Jeongguk", his attention was snapped to his side, where one of his colleagues was standing, shaking his head in disapproval, "What are you doing? we need to go."

Jeongguk gulped and nodded, turning on his heels, to follow the grumpy guy. His legs moved simultaneously towards the direction of the back stage, when his head turned around, to take a glimpse of the person, one last time. He could only here the crowd yelling and flaring their hands, but after looking closely, his eyes actually burned down from the radiations of beauty a single man was carrying. Holy fuck! the ethereal person, beauty of nature, who walked like a god, was none other than Kim Taehyung.

Jeongguk's jaw was literally on the floor, eyes scanning every single move of his gorgeous mate, zooming in his mind lenses, as his legs continued moving towards the back stage.

He was drooling, like literally salivating at the mere sight of Taehyung, who, to add up more side effects and reasonable amount of cliché, removed his expensive set of glasses, and just—

Jeongguk hit a pole.

A zombie ate off Taehyung's leg. Jeongguk screamed.

"keep quiet.", everyone casted dirty glances at the boy, who had started tearing up, holding his camera in one hand, while the other covered his mouth that was wide open in shock of the tragedy he was witnessing, "T-taehyungie—", he ran towards the big screen, tried to kick the zombie, hurt his leg by pushing it hard against the wall, yodelled, and limped outside the cinema hall.

After that, he didn't go inside, too ashamed and scared to watch any further. He assumed Taehyung hadn't seen him creating a nuisance, since he didn't chase after him, trying to console his crying baby. He obviously hadn't seen him, it has to be it.

When the time to interview the main casts arrived, Jeongguk was asked to behave, when he got the spot opposite to the huge banner, where three seats were placed, two for the main protagonists and one for the interviewer. He was ready with his camera, setting angles and lenses, when a girl walked up to him, "Jeongguk, right?"

He glanced upwards, moving back a little to take a better glimpse of the smiling girl, who was most probably his age, "Yeah?"

"I've seen your works, they're.. amazing. Can we talk in private after this thing is over?"

Jeongguk smiled, feeling a little pride wash over himself, "Sure! and.. you are?"

"Wheein.", she smiled and extended her hand. Jeongguk's eyes widened but he gladly shook it, "You're the interviewer."

"Ye—"

"They're coming, please take your positions.", someone from the staff yelled, making both of them to hurriedly get back to where they were supposed to be. Wheein elegantly sitting on one of the seats, as Jeongguk focused his camera lenses towards the back stage entry.

Taehyung and Minho came in sight, both bowing and smiling towards the little crowd of staff members behind, as they sat on their respective seats, gaining a small round of applause from the interviewer.

"Hello everyone! I'm wheein from Korean Time Magazine and You're not watching Disney Channel.", it was supposed to be sarcastic, Taehyung and minho too released a few chuckles, but the manager stopped the camera from rolling, scolding her for being unprofessional, making Jeongguk feel bad for the poor girl. He gave her a small smile and a thumbs up, when their eyes met, helping her relax a little.

"Retake.", the manager glanced at jeongguk and nodded, signalling him to re roll the camera.

"Hello everyone, this is Jung Wheein from KTM, and we're seated here on the backstage of Train to Daegu world premiere, to interview our favourite cast, Kim Taehyung and Choi Minho, who are receiving tremendous love and support from around the world."

The interview started off well, both the males answering questions while joking around, teasing each other at times, making it enjoyable to watch. Jeongguk kept smiling, feeling extremely proud of Taehyung, sometimes glancing away from the camera, just to take a closer look of his beautiful smile.

"Your fans have some questions, and we've wrote a few on some papers, mixing them in this bowl.", Wheein smiled at the camera, lifting the glass bowl in air, before pushing it lightly towards minho, "Each one of you can remove five chits, and let your fans know you love them."

Minho rubbed his hands together, looking as if he was wondering which one to pick, before pushing his left hand inside the bowl and removing a red folded paper, "Okay.. umm... Cats or Dogs.. jeez, this is difficult!", he threw the paper on the floor dramatically and held his head, trying not to smile, as him and Taehyung shared a glance, "Cat?", "Dog", "No cats are better", Minho said defensively, "Dogs are loyal.", "Cats are comfortable to be around with."

Taehyung rolled his eyes and removed a paper from the bowl, unfolding it in curiosity, "So... Are you dating?", he started laughing, scratching his nape while looking at the screen, as he winked and blew a kiss, "Totally single."

Jeongguk shouldn't feel bad, but considering Taehyung was completely open about it and didn't care, left him feeling heartbroken. Surely they were a thing, just, without a lable. And Taehyung talking as if he had no one in his life, made him wonder if the older ever actually understood him as an individual.

Jeongguk told himself that it was okay, Taehyung probably didn't mean it, until another question was brought out, "Have you ever fallen in love.", his eyes were directed away from the camera as he stared at Taehyung smiling and shaking his head, "No!"

Their eyes met, and Jeongguk didn't find any layer of remorse or guilt lingering in them, as if, he had professionalised in acting. Oh wait! maybe, he was actually acting to gain more attention from the public, his manager might've asked him to do so.

"Do you think Gay marriages should be legalised in South Korea?", it was minho's turn. The question seemed out of the box, and Jeongguk wondered why would they add something like that in such an interview. Celebrities usually never answer questions relatable to social problems, knowing very well how much a counter view criticism might arise.

"Can we cut that part out, please? i'm not comfortable answering such questions.", Minho asked, chuckling nervously.

"Why? cause you're gay?", Taehyung started laughing and Jeongguk didn't understand what was so funny about being gay. Minho shook his head and adjusted himself on his seat as their makeup artists walked out to fix their makeup. Wheein refilled her glass of water, gulping it down in one go and placing the empty vessel aside, before wiping her lips with a tissue.

"I think, the person who asked that question, is gay.", Taehyung muttered

"There's nothing wrong in being gay....", Said minho while fixing his tie, "... and to be honest, no one is completely straight."

"I personally think Gays are problematic.", Taehyung shrugged.

Jeongguk gulped and looked away, standing up to leave the venue, when his colleague called out to him, "We're starting in two, where are you going?"

"I gotta pee.", He tried to smile, but it came out forced and fake, as he stumbled outside without sparing another glance at Taehyung.

Taehyung didn't follow him, and Jeongguk wished he had because when he found himself crying, he realised how alone he actually was. Taehyung might be correct on his side, but Jeongguk had always been the considerate one, and for once, he wanted the other to understand.

Jeongguk let the bitter tears roll down his cheeks, until a sudden vibration in his jeans went off, making him sniff a sigh and remove his cellphone.

<Taeyang calling 📞...>

Answer           Decline

"I swear I didn't eat your cookies. They were in that basket 5 minutes ago and now they've magically disappeared."

Jeongguk felt his mood lift up, as he giggled, hearing the other silently chewing onto something, "You're lying."

"...... they seduced me."

Jeongguk rolled his eyes but started laughing, along with Taeyang, "How was your day though? I hope it was better than mine. Soyeon's team caught Jay, and the investigations are actually turning on our favour."

"You must be happy."

"I'm on cloud 9, which means I want you to be on cloud 15."

Jeongguk wished he had met Taeyang first.
