Louis comes out of the room about four hours later, he's feeling a little embarrassed at the way he reacted but his emotions have just gotten the better of him and he can't seem to help it.

"Hey darling" Harry says as he walks towards Louis and kisses him on the head.

"Hi" Louis says

"Come sit? Would you like some food?" Harry asks

Louis shakes his head no, Scott sits him down in a comfy chair with some pillows and hands Louis a water bottle

The boys smile at Lou and make sure he's okay.

"I'm sorry about before" Louis says embarrassed

"You really don't need to be Lou" Drew says

"It just got a bit much and I don't know why I acted like that" Louis say playing with the water bottle on the table

"Well you just found out a bullet was meant for you, you've been in a car accident and been working nonstop, anyone would have been upset" Edward says reassuringly

"Yeah but it's my job" Louis says

"Not to be a target Lou, it's okay, we understand and we promise to do everything we can to make sure you're safe" Dan says

Louis nods

"Can you let me in on the investigation?" Louis asks and they all look towards Harry and Scott

The both smile fondly, knowing Louis won't take no for an answer

"Fine but if it gets to much you need to tell us" Harry says

"And you're resting, eating and taking pain relief still, understand" Scott says pointedly

"Yep, okay, promise" Louis nods

"Alright, well, here is what we have so far Lou" Edward says as he passes Louis his folder

"Any insight you have or anything you think would be worth mentioning would be great" Scott says as Louis reads through the folder

"What, have you found on Jax?" Louis asks when he's done

The boys look to Harry and Scott to get the nod before Noah is talking

"Edward and I have been running background checks on him, but we haven't come up with anything, we can't find him at all" Noah says

Louis looks confused

"But he's been in the service 10 years" Louis says

"Apparently" Drew says

"You think he's been placed in?" Louis asks

"Charlie was meant to take Noah's place, right up until last minute. He had his medical done with Andy and everything, it was changed the night before and there is no reason for it, unless" Scott says

"Unless he was planted on purpose" Louis sighs

"Did you guys talk about his past?" Dan asks

"No he wouldn't really go there, which makes more sense now but....he asked me a lot of questions but wouldn't really answer mine" Louis says

"We need to figure out why he was planted, who he is. Now it's even more obvious Liam is involved, he's the one who authorised the swap" Harry says

"What happened exactly the night of the accident?" Edward then asks

"Nothing much, We were talking and then we stopped at a stop sign. Harry and Scott messaged my phone and I went to look at it. I thought it was weird that he stopped for so long at the sign, there were no cars on the road. He was looking at his watch like......like he was waiting for the accident to happen" Louis realises as he looks up.

The boys are looking at Louis sympathetically, this was definitely planned

"So I was meant to die in the accident too?" Louis asks

No one says anything, they are all reeling at the thought.

"What the hell is going on? The billet at the raid grazing my shoulder, the accident and now someone else getting killed in my room. That's a lot to try to kill someone" Louis says

"So what's the plan, act like we don't know so we can get more proof?" Dan asks

"There is no way we are going to send Louis back to work with Liam or Jax" Harry says

"Well we might nit have a choice? How else are we going to prove they are part of conspiring to kill me? And we don't even know why" Louis says

The boys all sigh

"All I can think is the undercover raid, Stanly must know you were undercover and he's trying to get rid of you" Noah says

"The guys who shot at me had one of Stanley's gang tattoos, so he knew before the raid, that probably why Stanley was a no show, he knew I was undercover" Louis says

"Yeah because Liam tipped him off, told you to go in without a vest hoping that you'd be killed and couldn't put Stanley away, a warning to us to back off" Harry says

"If they knew you were undercover, that's the ultimate betrayal, they wouldn't care about your rank, they have people who can cover up your murder" Scott says

"Yeah, Liam" Noah says

"Well we just have to be smart about our next moves. Louis will be here for another week and  a half doctors orders so we have until then to figure out what we need to do" Harry says

The boys nod, they need to figure out a plan and quickly.
