I'll Bloom Again
Far away in a paradise of flowers,
where petals bloom and sunlight showers,
there was a tiny bud, innocent and bright,
dreaming of a world beyond its sight.
All the flowers around would whisper near,
"This is paradise, calm and clear,"
their colors shining, their scent so sweet,
a place of peace, so complete.
But the tiny flower wondered deep,
if this was all, and longed to leap,
it heard of humans, wild and free,
a land of chaos, an infinite beauty to see.
It believed that true paradise lay out there,
beyond the garden, in the open air,
where love and pain both dance and fight,
a world that sparkled with dark and light.
So it left its home, with hope so bright,
to find that world, to see the sight,
It reached that distant human land,
Hoping for a bliss so grand.
It opened wide, reaching for the sky,
carrying dreams too big to die,
testing the air with tender grace,
hoping to find its rightful place.
But when it reached that distant land,
it saw only wounds, and pain so grand;
The skies were heavy with sorrow's weight,
and hope seemed lost in endless hate.
The earth was scarred, the sky was bleak,
people fighting, words too weak,
their anger loud, their fears so deep,
not the paradise it longed to keep.
Now as its petals fade away,
it dreams of a brighter day,
when hatred falls, and peace will grow,
and love will finally overflow.
It wilts in silence, small and still,
hoping someday, with time's gentle will,
Petal by petal, into the bloodied soil it fell,p
Succumbing badly to the apathy toil
One day, when the masks are cast aside,
One day, when the walls built by hatred finally fall,
One day, when love breaksthrough the fiercest walls of hatred,
One day the man-created barriers stop defeating their creators,
That day,
I will call it a paradise.
That day,
I will bloom again as a flower.
