I still couldn't believe this monsters in Hawkins, I had to check with myself that I had taken any drugs because that's felt it like. But clearly this wasn't that. When I got home I saw Hunter waiting for me to get home. "Did you see Steve?" He asked me, I hated that that was the first question he had for me.

"No, I went out with Nancy and Jonathon. I don't want to make promises but Will is alive." I said to him, he then looked at me.

"I know he is, I heard him." Hunter said to me as we started to go upstairs.

"I don't want to know how you heard him just as long as it wasn't in your ears as a whisper." I said to him as we went got to the landing.

"It was on a radio." He said to me, now that was just confusing me. Especially if Will never had his radio, but I wouldn't ask questions.

"Now, you better get to sleep it's an emotional day tomorrow." I said to him, tomorrow was Will's 'funeral'. Although the body in the coffin wouldn't be his. Once it got around to morning I was ready in my little black dress.

I saw that Mom was talking with Ms. Byers I was just hoping that Joyce didn't think that my Dad did it.

"Hunter, come on bud. I'll take you to a diner or something." I said to him with a smile, he looked at me and smiled.

"Can we? Go to a diner that is." He said to me, I nodded my head at him.

"Of course, bud. But one burger only." I said to him before we got to the car, Mom drove in separately she didn't want to be seen with us. We didn't know why. As I drove off I saw Nancy and Jonathon talking, I'm sure they'd tell me later. But for now it was trying to make sure my brother was ok.

"I know what I'm getting." He said to me, once we got to the diner we ordered and ate before I took him to Will's wake and I to see Jonathon and Nancy. They had have some new information. Well hopefully. I saw that Nancy was home.

"What's going on here?" I asked her as she was swinging a bat around, this had be some kind of plan.

"We made up a plan, to find whatever that thing was." She said to me as she kept swinging the bat.

"And I take it this is for self defense." I said to her and she nodded.

"We're making sure that we're prepared." She said to me and I nodded at her.

"I'll go and practice then." I said with a smile before I went home. I saw that Hunter's baseball was in the garage so I took it. It was time to start swinging.

"Y/n, you nearly took me out then." I heard Steve say to me, I then stopped with the bat.

"I didn't even realize that you were there." I said to to him before putting the bat down.

"That's okay, I should've said something before. But what's all this about?" He asked me while leaning against my car.

"I'm trying out for a sports team but I'm starting to think cheerleading is more my thing." I said to him with a smile, I saw him smile a little bit.

"I can't say I disagree you, but I'm sorry about the other day. I should've warned you about everything and now let it all spring on you." He said to me and I looked at him with a tilted head.

"That's okay." I said to him with a smile and he looked around before looking at me.

"Now, I was thinking that as an apology we could go and catch a movie." He said to me while putting an arm around me and I looked at him.

"Now, I wish that I could but I need to be around for my brother, he's not coping too well." I said to him and Steve nodded.

"And that's okay maybe some other time." He said to me before kissing me. "I'll leave you to all of this." He said to me before leaving.

"I'll call you later." I said to him and he nodded. I then continued practicing before Nancy came over.

"Im meeting up with Jonathon, are you coming?" Nancy asked me and I looked at her.

"I'll stay her for a bit but I'll join as soon as I can." I said to her before I practiced for a bit longer before going to the woods. I must've been walking for an hour until I stumbled upon them. "Guys, I'm here." I said to the both.

"How'd you find us?" Jonathon asked me, I shrugged.

"It was pure luck." I said to them as we all kept walking. Nancy then stopped.

"What are you tired?" He asked her, but she didn't look it.

"Shut up." She said to him.

"What." We said to her at the same time.

"I heard something." She said to us before we heard whimpering. We followed the sound. Until we found a deer. It had been attacked. "Oh, God." Nancy said to us. I looked at the two f them.

"I'd put it out of its misery but I don't think I could kill it." I said to them both. We crouched next to it.

"It's been hit by a car. We can't just leave it." Nancy said as she raised her gun up.

"I'll do it." He said to us, I didn't think he'd do it.

"I though you said- -" Nancy said before he cut her off.

"I'm not nine anymore." He said before taking the gun, he brought it up and cocked it but before he could shoot it something dragged it away.

"What was that?" Nancy asked us, I grabbed ahold of her.

"Definitely not a bear." I said to her as we started following the blood trail, this was a bad idea.

"Where'd it go?" Nancy asked us, I don't know and I didn't want to find out at all.

"I don't know. Do you see any more blood?" He asked us, not at all. That was a good thing right?

"No." Nancy answered.

"Not at all." I said to him. This was ending badly I could tell. I was ready to go home. I turned my back for one second and just like that Nancy had vanished. Now we had to find her, wherever she had to go, just as long as that thing didn't get her. I couldn't lose another friend. Me and Jonathon heard something.

"Nancy!" We both screamed, all that was left was her bag.

"Nancy! Nancy? Nancy, where are you?" Jonathon shouted out.

"Nancy! Nancy!" I yelled she can't have gone far, could she?
