The thunder was still rumbling outside. Steve was just getting ready to leave. "Are you sure you have to go?" I asked him he looked at me and leaned closer.

"I was going to unless you want me to stay." He said to me while leaning back on my bed. I turned my head to the side.

"Only if you want to. I can give you a spare blanket and a pillow." I said to him and he smiled.

"Now, I'd like that Solace." I said to him and just like that he stayed the night. On the floor. If he was caught in my bed I would be skinned alive in the morning. Once it got morning Steve left and I headed for breakfast.

"How was last night?" I asked Hunter with a smile he looked at me and started to tell me everything.

"And that was the campaign. How was studying?' He asked me, I looked at him.

"It was interesting." I said to him before we headed to school. I saw Eddie.

"Solace, are you prepared for your test?" He asked me, I looked at him.

"Not at all. Test me." I said while handing him my cards. He looked at them.

"There's too many cards." He said to me while flipping them all over. Once we saw Steve he handed my cards back and started walking the other way.

"Seriously Munson." I said to him as he walked away.

"I've got class." He said to me making me shake my head and I walked towards Steve.

"Are you still studying?" He asked while taking my cards from me. I crossed my arms.

"Not in the slightest, I just haven't made it to my locker yet." I said to him while putting my head to the side. He just looked at me.

"Well, you've got this, so you don't need to look at this anymore. Now, on yo more important matters. My dad has left town on a conference and my mom's gone with him, 'cause you know, she doesn't trust him." Steve said to me, I said Tommy look at him.

"Good call." Tommy said to him with a smile.

"So are you in?" He asked me I looked at him.

"If this is you asking me to a party, Harrington. I thought you knew better than to ask because I always turn up." I said to him, he smiled.

"I knew you'd be in." He said to me before Nance and Barb came over. He invited Nancy over as well. That's when we saw Jonathon putting posters up.

"Oh, God, that's depressing." Steve said as we looked at Jonathan.

"Should we say something?" Nancy asked us, it was probably best to leave him alone.

"I don't think he speaks." Steve's other friend said to us.

"How much you want to bet he killed him?" Tommy asked making Steve push him.

"Shut up." Steve said before Nancy went over to him. Once the school bell rang I was away.

"Attention, faculty and students. At 8:00 p.m. tonight, there will be an assembly on the football field in support of Will Byers and his family. All are encouraged to attend. Volunteer sign-ups for search parties are still available in the office." The lady of the P.A. said to us. When I was handed my test paper I was already forgetting what I'd learnt and revised. I was just looking forwards to the party later on. And once this shitty school day was over I went home.

"Y/n, can you drive me to the assembly?" Hunter asked while knocking on my door. I finished spraying my perfume.

"Yeah, I'll drive you but you'll have to walk home." I said to him before dinner was served. I went downstairs.

"So, Mom, can I go to Eddie's band practice. I'll drop Hunter off at the assembly for Will and pick him up after it's finished." I said to her, she put her fork down. She gave me a look.

"Just make sure that you come back within two hours, I don't want you both out after dark." She said to me with a smile, I smiled back at her.

"Thanks Mom, your the best." I said to her before I got ready even more. I dropped Hunter off and then drove off to Steve's I parked in the driveway. I didn't care who saw me. When I walked to the door I saw Nancy and Barb.

"Can one of you make sure I don't get too drunk. Because we all know it will happen." I said to the two of them while ruffling my hair.

"I'm already on it, Y/n, there's no need to worry." Barb said to me with a smile.

"Thank you. I just don't want to do anything stupid." I said to them as we hard the music inside playing. Nancy rang the doorbell.

"Barb, chill." Nancy said to her.

"I'm chill." Barb said before Steve swung open the door.

"Hello, ladies." He said to us before we all went inside and out back. Once I saw that pool I was just waiting to know how long it would take me to end up in it. We all knew that it was going to happen at some point. Tommy picked Carol up and was getting ready to throw her in.

"One! Two! Three!" Tommy shouted whilst swinging her.

"Stop it, Tommy, no! Don't! You're such an asshole, Tommy." Carol said making him laugh. I saw Steve take a can and cut into to drink it.

"Way to go Harrington. But I can definitely drink one faster than the that." I said to him as he put his cigarette in his mouth.

"Oh, really do you wanna try?" He asked me while looking at me, I leaned back in my sun lounger. Or now moon lounger.

"I'm always down." I said to him.

"You are a cliché, you do realize that?" Nancy said to Steve as he handed me his knife. I then went to grab a can.

"You are a cliché. What with you...your grades and your band practice." Steve said making Nance laugh.

"I'm so not in band." Nancy said as I picked up a can.

"Look, wild party girl. Are you about to show us how it's done then?" Steve asked me with a smile.

"You better prepare your eyes." I said to him before cutting into the can and drinking it in a matter of seconds.

"Now that's just showing off." Steve said while pointing at me making me smile. I then handed the knife to Nancy.

"Let's see how it's done, party girl." I said with a smile.

"Okay." She said while taking the knife.

"You gotta make a little hole right in- -" Steve started to tell her as I jumped in the pool.

"I got it." She said to him as I swam back up to the surface.

"Yeah, she's smart, you douche!" Tommy said while crushing a can on his head.

"Chug, chug, chug. Chug. Chug. Chug." We all changed repeatedly apart from Barb. She was silent. Once Nancy had drank it Tommy whooped. I then climbed out the pool.

"Barb, you wanna try?" Nancy asked her catching her off guard.

"What? No. No, I don't want to. Thanks." Barb said as I sat next to Steve.

"I'm not letting you go home in wet clothes you know that right." He said to me in a whisper. I looked at him.

"Then, when are you going to change my clothes?" I asked him before turning my attention back to Nancy and Barb.

"Come on." Nancy said to her.

"Yeah...come on. Yeah." Steve said to her.

"You can do it, Barb." I said with a smile.

"Nance, I don't want to." Barb said to her, maybe we shouldn't keep going at her.

"It's fun! Just give it- -" Nancy said to her as she got closer.

"Nance..." Barb said quietly.

"Just...Just give it a shot." Nance said to her while handing her the knife and can.

"Okay. So you just..." Barb started but before she cut into it the can slipped and she cut herself.

"Gnarly." Tommy said making me shake my head.

"Are you okay?" Nancy asked her worriedly.

"Yeah." Barb answered.

"Barb, you're bleeding." Nancy said to her, she wasn't ok.

"I'm fine. Where's your bathroom?" Barb asked Steve.

"Oh, it's...its, uh, down past the kitchen, to the left." Steve said while pointing it out to her. Nancy then went with her.

"Okay. Thanks." Barb said to him. When Carol turned her back that's when Tommy pushed her in. I stood up and walked to the pool edge.

"Oh, my, God! What the hell, Tommy? No!" She shouted as Tommy jumped in as well. Steve then pushed me in making me shriek in shock a little.

"Whoo!" Steve shouted before jumping in. We all then had fun in the pool. After a while Steve gave us all towels.

"I'm freezing." Carol said to us all. I was as well and my jeans sticking to me wasn't helping.

"Hmm...well, I hear his mom's room has a fireplace." Tommy said to Carol as they bother started walking away.

"Are you kidding me?" Steve asked while throwing his hands up.

"Oh, yeah?" Carol said while walking away.

"Okay, well, you know, you are cleaning the sheets. You all right?" Steve said to Carol and Tommy before turning his attention to me.

"Yeah, I'm just cold." I said to him with a smile.

"Yeah? Come on, let's get you some dry clothes." He said to me and I followed him. We then started going upstairs.

"Y/n. Y/n. Where are you going?" Barb asked me, I looked at her.

"I'm just getting some dry clothes and that's it. I promise. Nothings gonna happen." I said to her with a smile.

"Just make sure it's only that." She said to me before I continued going upstairs to Steve's room. I looked out the window and was caught off guard when a hand was placed on my back. I turned and saw Steve holding some clothes.

"Thanks." I said with a smile. "Uh, Steve could I get a little privacy if possible?" I asked him while tilting my head to the side.

"Oh...yeah, right. Sorry." He said while turning around. I then placed the clothes down on the bed.

"Actually Steve. I could use a little help." I said before removing my shirt.

"Damn." He said while turning around.

"Shut up, Harrington." I said before he came over and kissed me. I broke away quickly. "Now help me get out of these jeans." I said making him smile and once the jeans were off he picked me up and placed me on his bed. And things escalated from there. Who would've thought that me and Harrington would be sleeping with each other.
