It had been two weeks since our move to Hawkins. It was currently the night of November 6th, 1983. You may be thinking what's with the date. That's because that's when shit started to happen. Hunter was currently next door in the Wheeler's basement playing D&D with his new group of friends. Mike Wheeler, Will Byers, Lucas Sinclair and lastly, Dustin Henderson. I was with Nancy up in her room. "Have you done any studying for this test?" She asked me and I looked at her.

"I haven't even had time to completely settle in. Let alone study for a test." I said to her with a smile, she shook her head.

"Y/n Solace you truly are another kind." She said to me with a smile, I shook my head.

"What could you mean by that?" I asked her while laughing.

"You seem to be so smart without even doing anything." She said to me with a smile, I looked at her.

"If you think that you have not known me for long enough." I said to her with a smile, it wasn't long until Mrs. Wheeler came up to her bedroom door.

"Girls, it's getting late. How about you continue to study tomorrow?" She said to us, we both looked at each other.

"We can do that." Nancy said to her Mom while putting her cards away.

"Thank you for the food Mrs. Wheeler and Nancy we shall continue this studying tomorrow. We've got to be ready for those tests." I said to her making her laugh. I grabbed my stuff and then left for home. It wasn't long until Hunter got home.

"How did your studying go?" He asked me, I looked at him.

"I don't study we know this. I attempted to if that counts. But, how was your campaign you were gone for hours." I said to him as we both went upstairs. He has a big smile of his face and then began to tell me everything that happened.

"And then the demogorgon came and got Will." He said ending it off, I looked at him and ruffled his hair.

"Glad you had fun bud." I said to him before going into my room. I changed before my phone started ringing. It was Steve, he always called. It was hard to tell what this was exactly. In the morning I got ready for another long day at Hawkins High.

"And that's it for News Center this morning. Thanks for joining us. Let's hand off now to Liz at the news desk." A reporter said on the TV as I headed downstairs to get breakfast.

"All right, thank you, Donna. Turning now to local news, we're getting reports of surges and power outages all across the county. Last night, hundreds of homes in Easy Hawkins were affected, leaving many residents in the dark. The cause of the outage is still unknown. We reached out to Roane County Water and Electric, and a spokesperson say that they are confident power will be restored to all remaining homes within the next several hours." Liz reported on the news, it was nice to know the power would be restored. I walked straight into the kitchen.

"Morning sweetie." Mom said to me with smile. I quickly grabbed a plate.

"Morning ma. I overslept again." I said to her before eating a bit of toast. "Hunter! Let's go!" I shouted before he came running.

"I'm ready." He said to me with a smile, we then went to my car. Thankfully my cousin drove it down for me and caught the plane back home. If I didn't have my car I would be crying. Once we drove to school I instantly went to my locker.

"Solace, take a look at this." Eddie said while appearing next me, he had a piece of paper in his hand.

"Corroded Coffin. Live next Thursday. My interest has been peaked." I said to him while taking the piece of paper. He smiled at me.

"Good because you are invited and front row as well." He said to me as we started walking down the hallway.

"Can I bring Hunter? You know the kid idolizes you." I said to him with a smile, he smiled at me as well.

"He's always invited." Eddie said before we started going out separate ways.

"I'll see you later, Munson." I said to him with a smile.

"I'll see you later, Solace." He said before heading into a classroom. I saw a piece of paper fall out of my binder. It was a note from Steve. I went straight to the bathroom.

"Tell me, Harrington. What is this all about because- -" I started before his lips crashed onto mine. I was a little taken back. I don't even know why I kissed back. We separated after a minute.

"Do you want to do something tonight?" He asked me, I leaned against the wall.

"My parents will never allow it." I said while shaking my head at him, if they knew I was even kissing a boy my life would be over.

"So, I'll sneak in through your window. I'm stealthy like a ninja." He said to me, I shook my head and started laughing.

"I'd love to see it." I said making him laugh.

"I'm being serious. Or we could go out in my car and find somewhere quiet." He said to me making me shake my head.

"I need to study for once, Harrington. I can't have any distractions." I said to him, making him look away and look back.

"That's why I want it to be quiet." He said to me before the bell rang. That was this thing being ended.

"I'll see you around, Harrington." I said to him before leaving the bathroom. I didn't quite know what to do with myself after that whole thing. So I tried to compose myself. It was the least I could do. I got to class and acted like nothing happened. When Steve wandered into class I acted like I hadn't seen him come in. I had to pay attention to my class. Once we got home we got sat down.

"So, as you know Will didn't show up at school today. So until he has been found there will be no leaving this house. Without our permission first." Dad said as I looked at him and Mom.

"So, is it ok if I go and watch Eddie practicing he wants some advice." I said to them while putting a fork full of food in my mouth.

"That's the other side of town so no. You will not be allowed." Mom said to me, I looked at her.

"This is so unfair." I said to them while putting my fork down and going upstairs. I picked up my phone and called Steve.

"This is unusual. Usually I do the calling." He said to me making me smile and shake my head.

"Yeah, well I'm on house arrest. So, I expect a stealthy Steve to be at my window." I said to him, while looking at my window. I could already see the smile on my face.

"I'll be there." He said to me before I started getting ready.

"Well I see you soon, Harrington." I said to him while putting the phone down. I put my radio on and sorted through my flash cards. It wasn't long until I heard a knock on my window. I saw Steve. I opened the window for him. "How did you get here so quickly?" I asked him in a whisper.

"Because I wanted to see you." He said to me in a whisper.

"Got it, Harrington. Well be quiet my parents are home." I said to him, he started entering the room.

"Now, are you ready to study." He said to me with a smile, I then shut my window.

"Is anyone ever ready to study." I said to him with a smile. I quickly looked at my flash cards and handed them to him.

"What are you doing?" He asked me while looking at them I leaned closer to him.

"Test me. I need to know how well I'll do." I said to him with a smile. I couldn't tell what he was thinking of.

"Which polymers occur naturally?" He asked me, I thought for a second. I wasn't passing this test.

"Starch and cellulose." I answered, I wasn't confident, he flipped the card and hummed in response.

"In a molecule of CH4, the hydrogen atoms are spatially oriented towards the centers of- -" He started before I cut him off.

"Tetrahedrons, give me a harder question." I answered with a smile, he then saw how many where left.

"Wow. Jesus, how many of these do you have?" He asked me, there had be a hundred or maybe more.

"You the one who wanted to help me study, so you'll have to deal with this." I said to him, I saw a small smirk appear on his face,

"How about this? How about...How about every time that you get something right, I have to take off an item of clothing. But every time you get something wrong you have to take an item of clothing off." He said to me I thought about it before looking at him.

"Your on, Harrington." I said to him.

"I didn't realize this would be a competition." He said while lying on his side. I smiled.

"Isn't everything." I said while tilting my head.

"During fractional distillation, hydrocarbons are separated according to their- -" He started before I cut him off with what I thought was the answer.

"Melting point." I answered, thinking I had the right answer.

"Ooh, it's boiling points." He said to me, I looked at him.

"You know what I meant." I said to him while trying to fight for my case.

"But you never said it." He said to me, I rolled my eyes at him.

"Ugh, fine." I said while starting to unbutton my cardigan that I had one. That would just leave me in a small top.

"Oh, do you need...do you need help, or..." He started saying as he got closer to me.

"No, I can do it myself." I said before getting closer to him. We then. Started making out but we had to cut it out before it got to far. Seeming as there was a knock on my door.

"Y/n, I'm sorry about earlier. We'll let you go to your friends band practice." Mom said to me, Steve sat up and leaned on the edge of my bed like before.

"Okay, Mom. Thank you." I said to her before she walked away. "We could've been caught." I said to Steve, he looked at me and then at my door.

"I don't see a window on the door." He said to me making me shake my head.

"Your an idiot, Harrington, and that's what I like about you." I said to him while shaking my head. We then went straight back to studying. Although I couldn't stop thinking about what just happened. Maybe I was falling for Steve Harrington or maybe I was just happy that some guy was taking a liking to me.
