CREATIVITY || ROMAN

"Roman? What was that all about? Did you two have a falling out recently?" Logan adjusted his glasses, his analytical eyes focused on me.

"Heck if I know, Logan. Also, wouldn't we had to have a falling in so we could fall out?"

"Boy." Patton said, cutting into our conversation. "Get it? Fall Out Boy?" He smiled, jerking his elbows into the air as if he was pretending to nudge our shoulders.

Logan rolled his eyes at the joke. "Very funny, Patton. Now Roman, you know that I meant whether or not you two have had a quarrel lately?"

I scoffed. "Why would you care? Don't you have a book to get back to reading? Don't you have another task for Thomas to complete?" I snapped.

"Woah, don't bring me into this. Just calm down, both of you." Thomas was serious as he put his hands up to try to stop this from getting serious.

"Whatever, this recording session was a bust, as usual." I angrily mumbled to myself as I sank down and reappeared in my room.

So what if Anxiety left the recording session, did it really shock anyone else? He's just being a brat, as usual, and of course everyone decided to buy his act.

That lazy little vermin probably thinks he can get away with anything when all he does is ruin everything.

Crossing my arms in anger, I flopped on my bed with a groan, rolling my eyes as I realized I had left my door open. Oh well, it's not like I have something to hide.

Not like some anti-social freak show.

---

"Knock, knock, kiddo! Can I come in?" Patton's  voice called through the door.

"Only if you're alone! I've been ridiculed by that dictionary enough for today!" I groaned, standing up from my bed to open the door. "How are you, Patton?"

"I really think you should try to patch things up with Virgil, Roman. I don't know what happened between you two, but violence is never the answer." He crossed his arms, trying to look intimidating but it was very hard to take him seriously since he's the father figure.

"I already tried, Patton. Now will you stop bugging me about this? Can't you find someone else to talk to?" I didn't mean to be harsh, I was just feeling stressed and tired and didn't want to think about Anxiety anymore.

"Looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning!" Patton teased. "Ya hungry, kiddo? Because I can make you some food if you wan-"

"Morality I told you I'm fine, now please leave so I can rest and forget about everything that happened earlier."

Patton looked a bit sad before brightening slightly and leaving the room.

I'll apologize to him later.

LOGIC || LOGAN

"Uh, Logan?"

"Yes, Thomas?" I asked, swiveling my head so I was directly facing him, adjusting my glasses with my knuckle.

"What do you think that was all about? I mean, first Anxiety, then Princey, then Patton, is there something going on that I don't know about?" If I was any of the other traits, I wouldn't have noticed the small flicker of fear in his eyes.

Logically speaking, pardon the pun, his fear makes sense. We are parts of him, together we make up his personality, but in order to do that we must work together.

However, if his personality traits begin to have conflict amongst themselves, they no longer work as a team. And if they are not a team, then his personality is not cohesive, and without a cohesive personality, things could get pretty ugly.

I sighed, looking to the side casually while I tried to buy myself a few extra seconds to answer. By the time I had swiveled my head to focus on Thomas once more, I had a pretty accurate answer for him.

"I can assure you that there is nothing to worry about, Thomas. The others have these, disagreements, all the time. At first, they seem alarming, but you've grown accustomed to it, it's just another day at the office, which is a metaphor I am learning."

"I don't see what metaphors have to do with this-"

"For goodness sake, Thomas! Would you just focus on the importance of my statement rather than it's vanities? You have nothing to worry about, this quarrel is irrelevant, go about your life without a single care about any of this."

I sank down and appeared in my room, my gaze almost immediately darted to the stack of unattended books that piled atop my desk. I had work to do, very important work.
