Make Up For It
"Your pouting aren't you?"
Arms wrapped around (Y/N) from behind.
"No I'm not.."
"Yes you are." Came Lelouch's breathy tone, tilting his head so he could see her face partly.
(Y/N) sat in her favorite place in the gardens, under the oak tree near the fountain.
"(Y/N)... forgive me about earlier." Lelouch said, resting his chin on her shoulder.
"What about earlier?" She asked stubbornly, her finger tracing the edge of her book.
"...About making you uncomfortable." Lelouch knew (Y/N) too well, she always wanted a fair, straight apology, then she was happy.
"I forgive you." She said stiffly, turning around to see him, her legs now sideways on the bench. Her fingers reached out and grabbed his collar, bringing him down inches from her.
"Let's have a dance."
"What?"
"If you want to make me happy, and forgive you, let's have a dance!"
"Here?"
"Yes! We haven't danced together since we were kids!" She said, standing up and walking next to him.
Lelouch rolled his eyes, smirking slightly. Well, if this was a way to get closer to her, he wouldn't object to it.
In mere moments, he'd already snaked an arm round her waist, bringing her closer to him, while her hand rested on his shoulder.
"Aw, Lelouch, you got taller than me." (Y/N) said, frowning as her hand went up to measure the distance between their heights.
"Alot has changed since we were little." He chuckled, his purple eyes fixed on hers.
They started to waltz, Lelouch in the lead, him losing himself in the moment.
This reminded him of the day (Y/N) came to live in the palace.
She'd been three then, and one of the cutest little girls he'd ever seen. That day, his mother had told him that she was a nobleman daughter, but had been left an orphan.
His mother had also told him that day "She's your Fiance. So, please Lelouch, look after her, and treat her with kindness."
He'd taken those words to heart that day, finding himself falling in love with already.
The little girl had clung to him the moment she saw him. (Y/N) had been such a scardy-cat when she was younger that she couldn't go long without her "Brother" in tow.
Once he'd been banished, (Y/N) had begged to go with him, and he didn't have the heart to decline.
She was his, and his alone. His to have, and his to hold. Forever more.
"Lelouch?"
"Huh?" He asked her, snapping back to the future.
Her finger came up to flick him in the forehead. "You were daydreaming again weren't you?"
"I don't daydream." Lelouch snapped, letting out a small sigh.
"Yes you do, remember when you-"
"Fine, fine, I daydream."
---The Next Day---
"Can I go outside?" Asked (Y/N), trailing after Lelouch up the stairs.
"No."
"Can I go outside?"
"No, you can't"
"Can I go outside?"
"Why do you keep asking me?"
"Can I go outside?"
Lelouch spun around, grabbing her shoulders. (Y/N) didn't flinch, now getting used to Lelouch's new anger.
"Calm down."
"How can I when you keep asking me things like that?" He asked, his voice low and his eyes narrowed.
"Then just answer me this, why can't I go outside? I know you've been trying to keep me from doing so." She huffed, crossing her arms and looking away from him.
Lelouch sighed, gently grabbing her chin and making her face him.
"I don't want you getting hurt. It was a close call last time, Suzaku is doing his orders right now, and I have to go to an important meeting. I can't trust anyone else to protect you. Wait abit longer."
(Y/N) frowned, pulling away from him. "You treat me like a child." She muttered, stalking down the steps.
Lelouch watched her as she left, his mind telling him, she'd disobey him anyway.
"...I'm sorry (Y/N). but it's for your own good."
