{{Chapter 4}}
After the sudden news from Skara has been announced, all of the club's members quickly rushed towards her, yelling and shouting as they complain about their leader's injury.
As for Amity, she just stood in her spot, speechless, shocked, with her eyes still widened. Her grip on her other hand eventually tightened which showed her true anger from revealing.
Luz and her friends just watched the crowd of students follows Skara as they continued to yell and ask questions.
Mattholomule firstly approached Skara, being followed by the rest of his crewmates behind him.
"Wait, how, what happened?" He asked with a concerning voice.
Skara sighed. "Her injury was worse than we thought, the healers couldn't even help her, all they did was rush Boscha to the hospital."
"But how about the competition, she'll be back, right?!" One member asked.
"She has most of the parts in our performance, of course, she'll come back!"
"No, Cat. Not this time." The leader's assistant replied before walking away.
The teen named Cat gasped. "Huh, what do you mean?" She followed her friend.
"What I'm saying is Boscha needs time to recover, she can't dance with a broken leg, idiot."
With that being said, Skara sat down and bowed her head to hide her tears from showing to the rest of her crewmates.
But the rest of the club members was still asking her multiple yet continuous questions that she couldn't answer nor reply to.
One member spoke up. "Then what are we gonna do now? The qualifying matches are this week!"
"I don't know, Bo." Skara started, looking up at the second elite. "For now, we're left with Amity to guide us."
All of the member's attention then turned to Amity Blight, but sadly, she didn't respond which made the rest even more anxious.
"But.. we need Boscha, what could Amity do?" Matthomolmule yelled back.
"I don't know, we should just think about a new plan." Skara lastly answered before taking out her phone to somehow contact Boscha.
Everybody was now silent, still waiting for answers and solutions for the absence of the leading captain.
Skara tried to send multiple messages to Boscha using their Penstagram app, she even tried calling her but it only sent her to Boscha's voice message.
"What's up witches. It's your girl, Boscha, Stop calling me, I'm away right now, probably doing something cool unlike you. Anyways, I'll be back to check your message, also, follow me on Pentagram! The name's Coo-"
But before the pre-recorded voice message could even finish, Skara immediately ended the call to try dialing her again.
"Geez, we don't need to hear that." Skara rolled her eyes. "Let's try calling her again, maybe she's resting right now."
"Or maybe the doctors are still operating her leg, let's face it, Skara. She's not coming back." Amity growled.
"Well, maybe you should take the lead here, witch, 'cause you're the second elite, remember?!"
Amity looked back at Skara, revealing her angered yet teary eyes. "I'm thinking! Just give me some time!"
Boscha's assistant gasped at the sight. Instead of talking back to the elite, she only ignored her and continued dialing the hospital where Boscha was sent to.
Aside from Amity, a smile now formed on Luz's face. With Willow and Augustus right beside her, she slowly turned her attention to the elite.
"You know what that means." She told her friends with a sinister smirk.
Willow giggled softly. " I know, Luz." She started after placing a hand on the freshman's shoulder. "But I think you shouldn't be happy that much, I mean, they sent Boscha to the hospital."
"Yeah and so? It's her fault for attempting that move."
"Yeah, that was pretty dumb of her. But I hope she's okay."
Augustus followed from behind. "Also, Mattholomule was right, without Boscha, were doomed in the qualifying matches."
"Were missing one member, especially that member is our captain. Without her, our performance will be out of sync."
Luz sighed, patting both her friend's shoulders. "Hey don't be so down fellas! I didn't enroll in this school for nothing. So If you guys need another member, it will be me!"
Gus smiled. "But before you get in." He started, turning around to look at the second leading elite. "You have to prove to Amity you got what it takes."
Luz nodded. "I got it, this is my chance to prove that self-centered jerk that I'm more than just a freshman or a newbie."
"But now isn't a good time, we should let Amity calm down-" Willow paused, looking around her surroundings. "Wait, Luz? And she's gone, isn't she?"
Augustus nodded and flicked his finger to point at Luz. "Yep, she's walking to Amity right now."
"And she's doomed."
As Skara and the others continued to discuss a new game plan for the competition, Amity was left alone in the distance to try to think of a new solution to all of this.
And with that, Luz quickly took the chance to confront her about the deal they had before Skara announced the news.
The freshman was somewhat confident walking towards the elite, she had her hands on her hips, her chest was slightly top, and the smirk on her face never faded.
But when she finally got to Amity, she firstly cleared her throat to make Amity snap out of her deep thoughts.
After Amity looked back at her, Luz quickly gave her a confident yet smug look. "We had a deal, Blight."
Amity forced out a laugh, looking down at her black polished fingernails. "I don't know what you're talking about, Noceda."
Luz crossed her arms to her chest." Excuse me? We just had a deal a while ago, Mija! You know, the one about me joining the club if your precious team leader doesn't come back?"
"I'm not just gonna let some extra join the club just because Boscha asked you to take her spot. You cant join, Luz! I know Boscha will come back."
"Are you having trouble hearing, dear? Cause her assistant just told you that Boscha's in the goddam Hospital!" Luz shouted back at the elite.
Willow and Augustus suddenly rushed into the scene and pulled Luz away from Amity. "Woah, there, tiger! Calm down."
"This is not the time to fight, we need to be focusing right now!" Willow added.
After the two teens were separated, both were still looking into each other's angered eyes. But when Amity was about to respond, Willow stopped her by stomping her foot down to the wooden ground.
Luckily no one heard nor looked at them, the rest of the crewmates were still busy panicking with Skara in the distance.
"Now that you both are calmed down." Willow started before facing Amity. "Amity, you promised Luz that you'll give her a chance to audition if Boscha doesn't come back."
"Yes but-" Amity was cut off before she could even reply.
"No, Amity, you have to do your promise," Willow added, crossing her arms to her chest.
The elite laughed. "Ha! Who are you to tell me what to do? You're just a freshman who got lucky! I wonder why Boscha admitted you into the club."
Willow stayed silent, unable to think of a response to the 2nd elite. But when Augustus saw this, he quickly stood in front of Willow.
"Hey that's not cool-" He was interrupted by no other than Amity.
"Shut up, twerp."
"Yes ma'am." Gus was quick to reply.
Suddenly, Luz pulled her hand back from Willow and walked closer to Amity, facing her right in her golden eyes with her angered ones.
Amity looked back and smirked sinisterly, crossing her arms to her chest to look much more intimidating just like what Boscha taught her.
"Amity Blight, we had a deal, now don't be a loser to back away from that."
"I'm not being a loser, I'm just making sure our reputation doesn't fall if you join this club."
Luz took another step closer. "Don't underestimate me just yet, captain."
Each step Luz takes makes Amity walk backward, till the point she was pinned to the wall which made Luz take the upper hand.
"Don't act too cool, freshman, they're looking at you." Amity chuckled, hinting Luz that the other members were already watching them.
Luz smirked and leaned closer. "Then I'll just show them who's much more superior, Blight. Don't fear me just yet."
"Now, let me audition, I'll show you what this freshman has to offer to this school."
