[(Y/N)'s POV]

I stood in front of the desk of the so called headmaster. The team I had met belonged to this academy which trained huntsman and huntresses, which combat Grimm, those things that attacked me. He was explaining the world to me while Scarlet recorded all the information I'd need. I told him about the wormhole, and that I needed to get back as soon as possible.

Ozpin: "I'm afraid our technology just isn't to the point of space travel."

I sighed.

Me: "I know. But do you at least have any kind of long range communications system?"

Ozpin: "We do actually. The Cross Continental Communications Tower is here at Beacon academy."

Me: "Would you mind if I used it, Scarlet might be able to amplify the signal and get through to a UNSC ship, or at least send out a distress signal."

Ozpin: "I suppose it couldn't hurt. I'll have someone from Team RWBY show you to the tower."

Me: "Thank you."

I nodded and headed to the elevator, then descended the tower.

Me: 'This world is certainly interesting... superpowers, fictional weapons, and even monsters. Let's just hope I get to get back soon, we weren't exactly winning that war and we need all the Spartans we can get.'

Scarlet; "Your brain activity indicates that your stress level is rising. What is wrong?"

Me: "Nothing Scarlet. Just thinking we need to get back to the UNSC."

Scarlet: "I am fairly certain that our plan will work, by using a long range communications system I can send out broadcasts to any ship within my maximum range. By boosting the signal with the output I can-"

Me: "You know I'm not the best with technology... that was Alexis."

Scarlet: "I apologize."

Me: "It's fine Scarlet."

I finally got to the bottom of the tower and walked outside to see Ruby, the leader of the small team called Team RWBY. I approached her.

Me: "Ready to go Little Red?"

She nodded and began walking. We were silent for most of the walk, until we approached a tall building.

Ruby: "So... what's it like where you come from?"

Me: "Let's just say it's not as peaceful as it is here."

Ruby: "Oh... I just thought the armor was so cool..."

I chuckled.

Me: "Yeah the armor is pretty cool."

We ascended the tower and came to a control room, which was empty. I walked to the nearest panel and pulled Scarlet's AI chip, then inserted it into a plug in. I waited a moment.

Scarlet: "The broadcast has been sent."

Me: "Did you pick up any signals with the extended range?"

Scarlet: "I did not."

Me: "Well, let's just hope someone will pass by close enough to-"

Scarlet: "Slipspace drive detected."

Me: "That was fast... what vessel is it?"

Scarlet was quiet.

Me: "No... Scarlet tell me the name."

Scarlet: "No UNSC tags aboard the vessel. Coding suggests-"

Me: "God dammit!"

I pulled Scarlet from the panel and put her back in my helmet and started moving to the elevator.

Me: "Get me a waypoint."

Ruby: "Hey! What's going on?!"

I kept moving forward and into the elevator, Ruby ran in with me. I was beyond pissed off and ignored her.

Me: 'This world has no large scale weapons to combat a covenant ship. Best bet would to find a way in there and blow it up from the inside. Of course that means I won't exactly make it. But this could be Reach all over again...'

Scarlet: "(Y/N), your heart rate is elevated to concerning levels."

Me: "Stop monitoring my vitals."

Scarlet: "Disabling monitoring system."

Ruby: "What's going on?! I'm so confused."

I looked down to Ruby.

Me: "Ruby I need two things. I need a Bullhead, one of those things we flew in on. And two I need you to tell Ozpin that the Covenant is here, I told him a good bit of my situation so he'll hopefully know what that means."

Ruby: "Well... there are bullheads at the airdock but-"

Me: "Thanks!"

I took off towards the airdock without another word.

[Time Skip, Brought To You By Chibi Ruby Shooting A Sniper Rifle, But Flying Backwards]

After a rough ride with me figuring out how to fly a Bullhead, which was surprisingly like a Hornet, I set the ship down a good ways away from my waypoint. The Covenant ship was in sight, it was a Crusier. The waypoint led me into a destroyed city. The city seemed like it had been destroyed ages ago. I moved slowly from building to building, all the while the cruiser loomed overhead. I could see that the cruiser had its gravity lift active, so that was my entry point. After awhile of slowly moving towards the ship I came across a small patrol, one Wlite, three Jackals, and five Grunts. I hid behind a building and watched as they passed, I then swiftly moved by them and continued my way to the gravity lift. I soon arrived and looked from behind a building. They definitely weren't playing around, four Elites, six Jackals, ten Grunts, and two turrets. I sighed as I pulled out my DMR that I grabbed from the Pelican before going to Beacon. I took a deep breath then quickly moved from cover. I aimed for the Grunts first, taking them all out with a single shot each. I rolled out of the way as the Jackals began firing with needlers. I dodged the needles while closing the distance between us. I jumped into the air and slammed my feet down onto one of the Jackals, who then tried to hold me back with it's shield. It crumbled under me since it couldn't support the weight of my armor. I fired off the remaining shots in my DMR, effectively killing off the four Jackals that remained. Finally were the two Elites who were charging at me, one with an energy sword the other held a plasma rifle. I pulled out my energy sword and charged the Elite with a sword. The other elite began firing at me with the plasma rifle, I rolled out of the way but was nearly caught by the sword of the other Elite. I blocked the Elite's sword and kicked him in the "knee" making it snap. I then jammed my sword into its chest and twisted. I used the Elite as cover as I moved forward towards the other split-chin and tossed the body at him. While the body distracted him I moved around him and slashed him across the back. He fell over, on top of the other Elite. I quickly picked up the other energy sword and put it on my hip, I then ran to the gravity lift. I was quickly sent up to the Cruiser, as soon as my feet touched the ground I looked around, I was in an open area.

Me: "Scarlet can you get me a waypoint to the core reactor?"

Scarlet: "Yes. But how do you plan to destabilize the core and make it out of here?"

I chuckled as the waypoint appeared and I started walking.

Me: "Scarlet, I don't plan on making it out. Don't really have a lot of options. I sure as hell can't fly this thing off this planet single handedly, and I'll be damned if this planet is gonna end up like Reach. I won't see another planet full of people wiped out by these assholes."

Scarlet: "Why are you so ready to die?"

Me: "I'm not. There are still things I need to do. If there's a way out while still destroying this ship, tell me. Besides, Spartans never die. They're just missing in action."

Scarlet: "There might be a way if we can get to the bridge. We can destroy the controls and crash the ship."

Me: "And how do we set the ship to crash and get off at the same time. The explosion radius would kill me either way."

Scarlet was quiet.

Me; "Let's just get to the core."

I continued walking, but I noticed something that worried me. I hadn't come across a single guard or soldier since I've been here, the place was eerily quiet.

Me: "Scarlet are you getting any life signs on this ship?"

Scarlet: "Yes. They are all gathered near the core."

I sighed.

Me: "Yeah that's what I figured. They wouldn't let me stroll up to the core easily."

I pulled out my shotgun as I walked.

Me: "You know. There's a saying I like. 'Jumping feet first into hell isn't my job; making sure it's crowded when I get there is.' I think it's fitting for this situation."

Scarlet: "(Y/N)... I don't want you to die."

I chucked.

Me: "Don't worry Scarlet. They have your systems backed up on the ship. You'll be al-"

Scarlet: "I said I don't want YOU to die."

I stopped and looked at her image that popped up on my HUD.

Me: "You know it scares me how human you are sometimes."

Scarlet: "I was made by Dr. Halsey herself. Using Alexis' DNA, its only natural that I'd retain some human properties, however, in times like these I wish I could be more mechanical."

I sighed.

Me: "Let's just get this over with."

We finally reached the core room, where a small army of Covenant forces stood between me and the reactor. I cracked my neck as I readied myself.

Me: "Scarlet divert all power into my speed and strength. Keep my shield though."

Scarlet: "All power diverted."

Me: "Thanks Scarlet, now... lets dance!"

[Time Skip, Brought To You By Chibi (Y/N) Showing Weiss How To Shoot A DMR]

Me: "Well that wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it'd be."

After burning through most of my ammo and draining one of the energy swords the guards were dead.

Scarlet: "One life signature detected inside the reactor room."

Me: "It's probably the captain."

I walked forward and opened the door. Almost instantly a Brute Cheiftan charged at me with a gravity hammer. I ducked under his swing and backed up.

Me: "The fuck is a Brute doing here!"

I kept dodging his swings until he smashed the ground in front of me, making me slide backwards. I drew my other energy sword and charged at the Brute.

Me: "Time to see which is better, energy sword or gravity hammer!"

He went to slam his hammer down on top of me, but I quickly moved to the side and jumped into the air, kneeing him in the jaw. He stumbled backwards giving me time to tackle him to the ground and thrust my sword at him. He grabbed my arm and threw me off of him. I was sent onto my back, but quickly got up and faced the Brute again, the Brute had gotten up and grabbed his hammer. I smiled under my helmet as I got an idea. I charged directly at him. He swung his hammer from the right, but I slid underneath of him and pulled out a plasma grenade I had picked up. I slapped it onto his leg and rolled away from him. I waited a moment until I heard the explosion, then turned around. The Brute was dead, and in a few pieces.

Me: "Huh... looks like plasma grenades are better."

Scarlet: "I've found a way off the ship. Although you will not be unharmed."

Me: "Injured is better then dead Scarlet. What do you got?"

Scarlet: "By gathering enough Covenant weaponry and overloading them we can then detonate them by the reactor, causing a large scale explosion that will cause a melt down."

Me: "Okay? And what keeps me from getting blown up with the ship?"

Scarlet: "I can divert all power into a final speed boost, your approximate running speed would be more then enough to break the sound barrier."

Me: "Yeah but without my shield a single piece of shrapnel could pierce my armor."

Scarlet: "You did say 'Injured is better then dead.'"

I chuckled.

Me: "That I did Scarlet, that I did."

I started gathering everything I could and placed it by the reactor. I then took a plasma pistol and charged it completely and broke the trigger, so it was stuck. After placing it by the other pile of plasma weaponry I moved outside of the reactor room and aimed at the pistol with my DMR.

Me: "Give me a count down."

Scarlet: "5... 4... 3... 2... 1..."

I shot the plasma pistol causing it to explode along with everything else. I felt my shield drain and instantly sprinted down the corridor. I felt the ship shake violently as I raced down the hall and towards the entry point.

Me: "Scarlet, what's my chances of getting out of the blast radius in time?"

I could see the gravity lift, but it was deactivated, meaning I'd have to jump down.

Scarlet; "At your current speed your percentage of survival is at 54%."

Me: "Well that's comforting!"

I jumped down the gravity lift and crashed to the ground. I gave myself little time to recover when I hit the ground causing a crater to form. I stumbled forward and started running at a full sprint again.

Scarlet: "Readings suggest core detonation in... 3... 2... 1..."

Me: "Fuck!"

There was loud explosion behind me as the ground rumbled. I kept running as I could hear pieces of the cruiser crashing to the ground. Suddenly I felt myself get lifted off the ground and pushed forward with great force. I went flying forward, after being in the air for a few moments I crashed to the ground and slid a good distance due to my speed. As I slowed down I rolled so that I was laying on my back. I watched as the last few pieces of the cruiser hit the ground. Most of the city was nothing but a crater now.

Me: "Let's... never do... that again..."

I took deep breaths trying to catch my breath.

Scarlet: "Zero life signs detected. Reverting power to recovery systems."

I laid there for a while catching my breath and letting my suit recover and cycle it's systems.

Scarlet: "Life signs approaching. Human."

I turned my head slightly to see Team RWBY, Ozpin, and a few others I hadn't met.

Me: "Hey guys.... you missed the party."

I chuckled as they ran up to me and sat me up.

Weiss: "Are you alright?!"

Ruby: "What happened?"

Me: "Yes I'm fine, I'm just tired. And I just blew up a Covenant cruiser."

Blake: "A Covenant cruiser?"

Me: "In simple terms, the Covenant is a group of aliens that want to basically destroy the human race. I'm not sure how they got here, and honestly I don't give a fuck. They're dead, I'm alive, and that's that."

Ozpin: "Why did you rush off in such a hurry? I could've sent a team with you."

Me: "When this happens, you have to take them out quick. If they gain a foot hold, even a small one, It's nearly impossible to stop them. Plus I've been fighting them for a long time, I know what they're capable of. I couldn't let that happen here."

I finally stood up.

Me; "Now, I could really go for a dri-"

Scarlet: "Multiple Slipspace drives detected."

My heart sank as I looked to the sky... and saw a Covenant fleet.
