Chapter Five - Extracurricular

A few weeks have passed since the night Team RWBY, Sun, and Neptune began investigating about the White Fang and Roman Torchwick working together, and now they are back to their student lives. However, Blake was investigating way more than necessary. When either of them asked her if something's wrong, she just walked away to the library, where she spend most of her time trying to find out everything about the White Fang and what they're doing. They were getting worried about her.

(YN) on the other hand was in deep thought about what Penny said. If General Ironwood said that the time of peace will end soon, it must be a real deal. Is this why he brought the Atlesian military with him, in case if anyone wants to attack during Vytal Festival? There is a lot of questions to solve. For now, he decided to focus on what's in front of him, returning to his student life.

|—————————|—————————|

Right now, the students are in Professor Goodwitch's combat class in the Amphitheater. Currently, Pyrrha was in the locker room, getting her equipment ready for her sparring match against Team CRDL.

Why Pyrrha had agreed to this seemingly unfair spar, and why Glynda allowed it to happen, was unknown to the other students currently in the stands. Though, Pyrrha didn't seem worried whatsoever about this match.

Once she is all set, Pyrrha made her way back out towards the arena and came to a stop in the center of the arena with her weapons out and at the ready. Team CRDL, meanwhile, was near the edges of the arena with their own weapons at the ready. Glynda pressed a button on her tablet and a 30-second timer appeared, slowly counting down. When timer hit zero, it caused the lights in the arena to go dark except for those lighting up the combat area. This was the signal for the start of the match. And without wasting a second, Pyrrha jumped into action.

Pyrrha charged forward towards Cardin, switching her sword to its javelin form as she tried to swing it at Cardin. He was, however, able to block the strike before bringing his mace down, but it bounced off her shield, which was now holster on Pyrrha's back, before Pyrrha swung upwards which Cardin blocks again, and then makes another strike that he blocks but gets pushed back by before she zooms past him, dealing a strike that forces him onto a knee, before lunging into the air and bringing her javelin down on Cardin. But he managed to roll out of the way just before the tip of Pyrrha's javelin could touch him, with it instead hitting the floor.

Pyrrha jumped up again and reeled the javelin back, intending to throw it at Cardin. When the javelin left her hand, its rifle mechanism fired, adding a little extra boost to the strike. But before the javelin could hit its mark, Dove swung his sword with a revolver mechanism and a short-barrel built into the hilt, knocking the javelin off course and back towards Pyrrha. She landed on the ground with a short roll before spinning around, sweeping Dove's legs out from under him while simultaneously reaching back for her javelin that gets pulled back into her hand thanks to a small amount of her Semblance.

She then quickly switched her javelin to its rifle form, firing at and knocking back Sky's weapon - which is a long, dark-blue halberd, with a large inward-curved axehead on one side and a small spike on the other - for a second before pulling her shield off her back and blocking Sky's downward swing.

Turning her rifle back into javelin form, Pyrrha spins her body and strikes at Sky with a downward swing, which gets blocked, before spinning her javelin a few times at him, and he blocks again. Pyrrha then makes an upward swing at him, but it gets deflected, before she fires her weapon in rifle form at him and then turns it back into a sword, making a spin strike at him before she shoots it in javelin form at him again, which sends him flying by Cardin off his feet.

And just when Cardin looked back towards his team's opponent, Pyrrha charged at him again, with Cardin just barely having enough time to bring up his mace and block a downward strike from Pyrrha. He tried hitting her from the side, but Pyrrha blocked it with her shield. Cardin then reeled his mace back over his head before swinging down with all his might, but Pyrrha quickly side-flipped to her right side as Cardin's mace hit the ground, resulting in a small fiery explosion that blew up a few small chunks of the arena floor. Cardin then spun around and slammed his mace into Pyrrha's shield, managing to knock Pyrrha back quite a bit, her feet sliding along the floor.

Pyrrha then looked to her left to see Sky spinning his body along with his halberd, she narrowly dodged as Sky brought his halberd down, jumping backwards into the air as his halberd embedded itself into the floor. Then, out of the corner of her eye in mid-air, she saw Cardin coming at her with his mace raised. Pyrrha quickly raised her shield, blocking Cardin's mace mid-air before using the momentum of the hit to spin her body in the air and landing on the ground, kicking Sky's feet out from under him, knocking him down in the process. Then she spins on the ground and pushed herself off just as Cardin went to punch her, and his fist hit the floor.

Rushing at Cardin, Pyrrha jumped and rolling along his back and then jumping off it before throwing her shield at him. Her shield slammed into Cardin's face, ricocheting off of him and zooming past Pyrrha's head as she landed on the floor before it slammed into Sky's face and then roll onto his front side. Flipping backwards, Pyrrha grabbed her shield while in the air before landing her feet directly on Sky's back, which knocked him out for the rest of the fight.

Pyrrha looked up to see Cardin and Dove get back on her feet, while Russel rushed towards her. Pyrrha lunged at Russel first, using her shield to knock him backwards before spinning around and slicing at Dove's armor with the edges of her shield. Dove tried to swing his sword at Pyrrha, but she brought up her shield and blocked his sword before kicking Dove in the gut, launching him backwards. But, Dove managed to land on his feet while Cardin jumped forward with his mace raised with both hands on the handle.

Seeing this, Pyrrha flipped backwards as Cardin brought his mace down, cracking the arena floor in the process. When she landed, she shifted her sword into rifle form and fired three bullets at Cardin. However, before any of Pyrrha's shots could even hit Cardin, Russel landed in front of him as Dove rolled out of the way, and Russel, using his two short, curved daggers with revolving chambers built into the hilt of each of them, deflected each of Pyrrha's shots before charging at her.

Russel jumped and starts spinning in the air like a buzzsaw and, using both feet, kicked Pyrrha's shield as stumbled back. Both Russel and Dove swung their weapons at Pyrrha. But, using both her sword and shield for each person, Pyrrha was able to fend off both attackers.

Then her attention was drawn to Cardin, who was charging at her and swinging his mace from the side. Pyrrha quickly rolled forward, landing on a knee behind Cardin as she shifted her sword to rifle form and shot at him.

Twirling his mace, Cardin was able to deflect Pyrrha's bullets before charging at her again. But Pyrrha jumped up, kneeing Cardin in the chin and making him stagger backwards. Quickly recovering, Cardin managed to swing his mace around, but it was blocked by her shield before Pyrrha kicking Cardin in the abdomen, knocking him away for a second before he recovered and swung down again. But the strike was, once again, blocked by Pyrrha's shield.

The two traded blows with their weapons for a second, with Pyrrha landing a few more hits to Cardin's body, before Pyrrha managed to knock a now staggering Cardin away. But Cardin was quickly replaced by Russel, who charged at Pyrrha and tried to stab her. Pyrrha easily managed to dodge all of Russel's strikes before she spins her sword around her neck as it turns into its javelin form and, just as Russel throws his right dagger at her, spins around to evade the attack before she threw her shield at Russel, making him stagger before Pyrrha swung wide at him with her javelin, knocking Russel to the ground and out of the fight.

Dove charged at Pyrrha, but Pyrrha aimed her javelin at him, firing its rifle mechanism and sending her javelin launching at Dove, who blocks the attack. Pyrrha then thrusted her javelin at Dive again, only to get blocked again with his sword. As Pyrrha pulled back, she grabbed her shield and then rushed forward at Dove. Dove turned around and fires three shots at Pyrrha, but Pyrrha blocks them with her shield as she runs at him before rolling towards him to evade another shot, and then slashes at Dove twice. But Dove dodged both strikes, flipping backwards and landing a few feet away from her and next to Cardin, who was once again picking himself up.

Cardin then reeled his mace back, unintentionally hitting Dove in the face and knocking him down and out of the fight, before moving in and slamming his mace into the ground, resulting in a line of explosion to rip across the arena floor, heading directly towards Pyrrha. Pyrrha managed to backflipped over the explosions before spinning her body and launched towards Cardin, managing to deliver a series of slashes at him, with one last strike, launched him high into the air.

Pyrrha jumped up towards Cardin, slicing at him three more times and sending him flying even higher. Using her shield as a springboard, Pyrrha launched herself at Cardin once more. The she grabbed Cardin's head and twist him around until she has her javelin around his neck with her set behind him. She then spins the both of them in the air until they get close to the ground and slammed him onto the floor, hard. She then backflip kicked him into the air, knocking Cardin away before they both land back on the ground, with Pyrrha on her feet and Cardin onto the ground for good..

Pyrrha ceremoniously grabbed her shield as it falls down to her and she gets back into her fighting stance as Cardin holds his chest while barely on his knees. It was then that the lights were turned back on, signaling the end of the match. And the victor was rather obvious.

Glynda: "And that's the match." She declared, walking into the sparring arena.

Cardin: "Lucky shot." He groaned weakly before collapsing onto the floor from exhaustion.

Glynda: "Well done, Miss Nikos." She congratulated, looking away from Cardin to Pyrrha. "You should have no problem qualifying for the tournament."

Pyrrha: "Thank you, Professor." She smiled happily in return with a quick nod.

Glynda: "Alright," She tapped a few buttons on her tablet. "now I know that's a tough act to follow, but we have time for one more sparring match. Any volunteers?" She looked around at the observing students, including Teams RWBY and JNPR, as well as Mercury and Emerald. No one bothered to raise their hand. "Miss Belladonna?" She called, making Blake startled and close her book in a hurry. "You've been rather docile for the past few classes. Why don't you-"

Mercury: "I'll do it." He volunteered, raising his hand, getting Glynda's attention.

Glynda: "Mercury, is it?" She inquired, adjusting her glasses. "Very well, let's find you an opponent." She began scrolling through her table.

Mercury: "Actually..." He put his finger on his chin. "I wanna fight..." He looked around the crowd until he laid eyes on (YN). "him." He pointed straight at (YN).

Glynda: "Hmmm." She narrowed her eyes at him for a moment, and turned to (YN). "Mr. Braveheart, do you accept Mercury's request?" She asked (YN). (YN) looked at Mercury for a second, and stood up from his seat.

(YN): "I accept." He grinned.

|—————————|—————————|

A few minutes later, Mercury is walking out into the arena, eyeing (YN) who already got out there before him, all the while smiling at him.

They started circling each other while they studying each other. (YN) pulled out his pistol as it transformed into sword and deploying his shield, setting it to diagonal mode, while Mercury put his hands up, entering their fighting stances. The 30-second timer appeared again, slowly counting down like before.

Ruby: "Go get him, (YN)!" She cheered for him.

When the timer hits zero, Mercury changed in and spins his body around and then thrusted his right foot at him, but (YN) lunged forward, blocked it with his shield, and sweeps his other leg from beneath with his sword. Mercury falls onto his back but then kicks his legs into the air, spins on his hands, and did two back-handsprings to get some distance between them.

The two stop and stared at each other for a moment as (YN) stands up from a kneeling position. (YN) sprinted forward to attack, but Mercury strikes first, leading (YN) to instead switching his shield into horizontal mode and block the first left kick with his sword and the second with his shield, before turning around and blocking a further barrage of left kicks with his shield.

(YN) ends the barrage by hitting Mercury's left leg away with his sword, creating an opening for (YN) to swiftly switching his shield into vertical mode and strike Mercury with a left jab, and then (YN) jumped and performed a spinning thrust kick to Mercury's chest, causing him to slide back on his feet, sparks emitting from his boots sliding against the ground as he comes to a stop some distance away.

Mercury: "Hm." He nodded slightly, tilting his head in a manner that says "not bad".

Ruby: "Hey, your friend's doing pretty good." She complimented to Emerald, who was sitting behind her before she looked back at (YN), not noticing Emerald changing her expression to one of mild annoyance.

Mercury then leaped into the air and, with a spin, brings his right foot down on (YN)'a shield, making him jump back slightly. After landing on the floor and dropping to his hands and feet, Mercury spins with his left leg out, but (YN) raised his left foot over it and stepped backward. Mercury quickly stands and leaped into the air, kicking (YN) with his left leg, but he blocked it with his shield.

As (YN) turned around, dives, and rolled away, Mercury continued his spin, swinging his leg high in the air, only to find that (YN) had moved away from him. Mercury chuckled while (YN) instantly rights himself, crouching on the floor with his shield in front of him. (YN) flips his sword in his hand so that the blade points behind him. Mercury then charges forward, leaps, and lands three consecutive kicks on his shield. (YN) moves his shield to the side and begins to raise his sword, but Mercury kicked his shield, then quickly switches in mid-air and kicks the arm with which (YN) is holding his sword, before switching once again to kick his shield.

As Mercury lands the kick on his shield, (YN) flipped his sword into the air, but before he can catch it, Mercury switched once more to kick (YN) in the right side. This forced (YN) to move his right arm forward and block the kick. Mercury then turned away, spinning once again and leaving an opening for (YN) to turn around and catch his sword. Both (YN) and Mercury continue their spin to face each other, (YN) swinging his sword and Mercury kicking. Their attacks deflect each other, and Mercury turns in mid-air and kicks at (YN)'s shield. (YN) swings his sword upward, scraping it against one of Mercury's boots, but then Mercury kicked it out of his hand.

The two watched (YN)'s sword stab into the floor, and Mercury triumphantly smirked at (YN) before spinning around and raising his left leg up high to kick him. However, simultaneously (YN) spun counter-clockwise, switching his shield in diagonal mode, and blocked the kick with a metal clang. (YN) used his shield to push Mercury's leg back and twisted his body around, throwing a straight right punch, unleashing a small burst of energy at Mercury's torso, sending him a few inches away, stumbling around and dropping into a kneel.

Mercury hummed, gaining a thoughtful look on his face. He looked back as he sees (YN) switching his shield into vertical mode. Mercury stood up and faces him.

Mercury: "You're doing hand-to-hand now?" He inquired.

(YN): "What, you think I fight with just a sword and shield? There are other ways to fight." He smirked confidently.

Mercury sprinted forward, throwing a spinning roundhouse kick, which (YN) immediately dodged by jumping back. (YN) then throws a left hook at Mercury, which he leaned back as the shield barely touched his face, and (YN) throws a few kicks at him, who parried them with his own kicks. Mercury then throws a reverse roundhouse kick, but (YN) ducked down to dodge the kick, rolled backwards, backflips three times, and throws two spinning kicks, launching energy arcs, but each one blew up by Mercury's bullets from his boots. (YN)'s reeled his right arm back, his fist glowed energetically as Mercury brought his hands up, staring at each other.

(YN): 'His weapons in his boots are like Yang's, but for kicking.' He noted mentally. 'That's impressive.'

After a brief moment, Mercury rushed towards him. (YN) thrusted his arm forward, launching a stream of energy from his fist, and Mercury dropped to the floor, sliding underneath the stream and kip-up to his feet. Mercury then fired four bullets from his boots at (YN), but he deflected them with his shield, then parried more of Mercury's kicks with both his right arm and shield. (YN) then dodged a sidekick and smashed into the back of the Mercury's head with a superman punch. Mercury then throws a left kick, then a right kick, and back to a left kick, all of which (YN) blocked them all with his shield before telekinetically halting Mercury's leg, and then throwing him away.

Mercury twisted his body mid-air and landed on his feet, and then looked up to see (YN) charging at him, throwing an overhead punch with his shield. Mercury hits the shield with a backflip kick, knocking it away, until (YN) spun around, quickly switching his shield into horizontal mode, and landed a backhand strike at Mercury with his shield and a right hook. Mercury parried (YN)'s shield strikes with his kicks, until (YN) landed a right cross and bashed him back with his shield.

When (YN) attempted to make another strike with his shield, Mercury puts his right foot on it, hopped up onto it, and fired a bullet to propel himself from it, spinning in the air and landing in a kneeling position. (YN) telekinetically pulled his sword into his hand and charged at Mercury. However, Mercury turned away from (YN) to Glynda, and then...

Mercury: "I forfeit." He submitted casually. Hearing that, (YN) skidded to a stop beside him.

(YN): "What? You're giving up, just like that?" He questioned, confused by his sudden withdrawal.

Mercury: "What's the point?" He shrugged his shoulders. "You're the strongest Huntsman in Beacon. We're obviously leagues apart." He stated, hands in the air. (YN) looked disappointed.

Glynda: "In that case... (YN) Braveheart is the victor of the match..." She declared.

Emerald smirked while Mercury sneered smugly. Glynda pressed a button on her tablet, making the screens above change to show (YN)'s icon turning green while Mercury's turned red, indicating the victor and loser of the match.

Glynda: "Next time, you may want to think a little harder before choosing an opponent." She advised Mercury in annoyance.

Mercury: "I'll be sure to do that." He waved casually at Glynda before walking away, hands on his hips.

After that, the alarm sounded out, signaling the end of the class, and making Blake jolted up, who had nodded off for a moment and had bags beneath her eyes due to her lack of sleep.

Glynda: "That is all for today." She addressed to the students as they leave the Amphitheater. "And remember, the dance is this weekend. But you all have your first mission on Monday." She reminded them. "I will not accept ANY excuses."

Blake followed her teammates as they leave the stands. Emerald is leaning against a wall, watching them walk by, until Mercury walked up to her.

Mercury: "Learning is so much fun." He remarked sarcastically, another smirk on his face.

|—————————|—————————|

Outside of the Amphitheater, Team RWBY walked past Sun's team, SSSN (Sun), which are standing at the entrance. Blake was lagging behind a little bit as she read her book and walking at the same time. Noticing Blake, Sun quickly said goodbye to his teammates and ran after her.

Sun: "Hey, Blake!" He called, grabbing Blake by the shoulder. "You uh, doing okay?"

Blake: "I'm fine." She replied, shutting the book she was reading. Sun coughed into his arms.

Sun: "So I hear there's this dance going on this weekend... ah, sounds pretty lame, but you and me, I'm thinking, not as lame, huh?" He persuaded, giving her a hint.

Blake: "What?" She questioned, a little confused.

Sun: "The dance! This weekend!" He clarified. "You wanna go, or what?"

Blake: "I don't have time for a stupid dance." She rejected him harshly before walking away from him. "I thought YOU of all people would get that."

As Blake walked past her team, Ruby and (YN) sadly looked at her before turning to see Sun with his head and shoulders slumped down in sadness. (YN) went over to him to give Sun a pat on the back in comfort.

|—————————|—————————|

Blake: "You WHAT?!" She exclaimed, wanting to make sure she heard them correctly.

Currently, Weiss, (YN), and Ruby sat on Weiss' bunk while Yang and Blake sat on Blake's. The girls and (YN) were all looking at Blake, hoping that somehow they could convince her to take a break from the investigation.

Ruby: "We want you to go to the dance." She repeated calmly.

Blake: "That's ridiculous." She scoffed, arms crossed.

Yang: "Blake, we're worried about you." She insisted. "This investigation is starting to mess with your head."

(YN): "Ever since that night weeks ago, you've been rather hostile towards everyone." He stated.

Weiss: "You can't sleep, you hardly eat, and to be honest, your grades have been suffering." She pointed out, counting the facts on her fingers.

Blake: "You think I care about grades? People's lives are at stake!" She reminded them, gesturing out the window.

Yang: "We know," She puts her hand on Blake's, lowering it. "and we're all still trying to figure out what Torchwick is up to." She reassured her.

Ruby: "Thanks to you and Sun, we know they're operating somewhere outside of southeast Vale."

Weiss: "AND," She raised a finger. "the Schnee company records singled out Vale as the primary target for Dust robberies over the last few months." She added in.

Yang: "Don't forget about their missing military tech too." She mentioned.

Blake: "But there's still unanswered questions!" She pointed out.

(YN): "Blake, you won't be able to find answers for any of them if you can't even keep your eyes open." He countered. "I mean, even the best Huntsmen need to take some time to rest and recuperate."

Yang: "All we're asking is that you take it easy for ONE day." She insisted Blake, holding up one finger for emphasis.

Weiss: "It will be fun!" She said optimistically. "Yang, (YN), and I will make sure of it."

Yang: "Yeah!" She pumped her fists and bouncing on the bed, which caused Blake to bounce as well. "We're planning the whole event!"

Blake: "Excuse me?" She questioned, raising en eyebrow.

Weiss: "Team CFVY (Coffee)'s away mission lasted longer than expected." She explained.

Yang: "So, Weiss, (YN), and I were asked to pick up where they left off." She continued for Weiss. "And now we can make sure you have the perfect night."

Weiss: "And once it's all over, we'll return for our search, rested and ready." She finished.

Ruby: "So what do you think?" She pried, hoping she would get a positive answer.

(YN): "Sounds like a plan?" He coaxed. Blake closed her eyes and thought for a moment.

Blake: "I think this is a colossal waste of time." She rejected their idea, and stood up from the bed and walked away from the group and opened the door. "I'll be in the library." She walked out of the room.

Yang: "Great." She sighed sadly.

Weiss: "She can't keep going on like this." She frowned.

(YN): "If she keeps this up, she'll be sleeping for days." He stated, then sighed. "Or weeks."

Before they could get into a conversation about what to do next, a knock was heard at the door catching their attention. Weiss walked up to the door and opened it to reveal Jaune standing in the hallway, with an acoustic guitar in hand. He started playing it to the shock and confusion of the three girls and (YN) in the room.

Jaune: "Weiss~~!" He sang, strumming on the guitar before winking. Then without another word, Weiss slammed the door in his face, stopping him mid-song. "Oh, come on!" He groaned, knocking on the door again, which makes Weiss rest her face in her left hand. "Open the door!" He pleaded. Then he went quiet. "I promise not to sing."

(YN): "He's gonna start singing again." He whispered quietly to Ruby and Yang, smirking.

Hearing this, Weiss reluctantly decided to open the door. But the moment she did...

Jaune: "I lied~~!" He sang poorly, strumming the guitar again, and Weiss facepalmed. "Weiss Schu-nee, will you accompany me, to the dance on... Sunday~~!?" He sang further, giving Weiss a charming smile.

Weiss: "Are you done?" She asked, annoyed with arms crossed.

Jaune: "Yes?" He answered with a shrug, more of a question though.

Weiss: "No." She rejected him bluntly, and slammed the door in his face and crossed her arms, eyes closed before she opened them at (YN), Ruby, and Yang, who were staring at her precariously. "What!?"

Yang: "And THAT is why they call you the Ice Queen." She joked.

(YN): "She's got a point." He agreed with Yang while Ruby looked at her, then herself and falls to the floor after losing her balance.

Weiss: "All my life, boys have only cared about the perks of my last name." She explained, ignoring how Ruby collapsed. "Besides, I already have a date in mind." Ruby gets back on her feet.

Ruby: "Date or no date, none of this will matter if we can't get Blake to go." She stated as the others looked down in agreement.

(YN): "I'm sure we'll convince her somehow." He hoped. But deep down, he didn't know how.

Later that night, Jaune clashes his blade against Pyrrha's in one of their training sessions at their spot on the rooftop.

Jaune makes four more strikes at her, to which she blocks, until he began to pushed her back on the fourth clash, gaining the upper hand. However, Pyrrha looked down and smiled before ducking, using her shield on her back to block his sword while she leg sweeps him off his feet, making Jaune fall down and ending the spar.

Pyrrha: "Well done." She praised Jaune with a laugh as she put her sword away, and offered him a hand, which he takes and gets back on his feet. "Your swordplay's improved immensely."

Jaune: "Couldn't have done it without ya." He replied, dusting himself off.

Pyrrha: "So... are you ready to move on to Aura?" She asked.

Jaune: "I'm actually thinking maybe we just skip Aura tonight." He declined, rubbing the back of his head as he turned away. "Might go on a jog or something."

Pyrrha: "Come on... I know you get frustrated, but you must keep trying." She encouraged Jaune. "I'm sure we'll discover your Semblance any day now."

Jaune: "That's...not it. It's just..." He paused hesitantly. "it's dumb." He stuttered, feeling a little down.

Pyrrha: "What is it?" She asked before walking up to him and placing a supportive hand on his shoulder. "Jaune, you know you can tell me."

Jaune: "...It's Weiss." He confessed, lowering his head.

Pyrrha: "Oh." She lowered her arm and losing her smile before putting a fake one on. "What about her?" She asked.

Jaune: "I asked her to the dance and she shot me down." He explained, then giggled halfheartedly as it turned into a sigh. "Big surprise right?"

Pyrrha: "Well, I believe the saying goes, 'there's plenty of fish in the sea." She recited, trying to be supportive.

Jaune: "That's easy for you to say, you've probably got guys clamoring over each other just to ask you out." He remarked, missing her hint.

Pyrrha: "You'd be surprised." She chuckled halfheartedly.

Jaune: "Oh please." He scoffed, dismissing the thought. "If you don't get a date to the dance, I'll wear a dress, heh." He said sarcastically before walking away, not noticing Pyrrha dropping her smile and looking rather upset.

|—————————|—————————|

Emerald: "Next is Pyrrha Nikos." She spoke, an image of Pyrrha appearing on her Scroll.

In their dorm room, Cinder is sitting on one of the beds, sewing up her black dress while Emerald is sitting on the floor, looking over her scroll, while Mercury is laying down on the ground next to her, reading a comic book.

Cinder: "Ah, the invincible girl." She smiled musingly.

Mercury: "She's smart, but I wouldn't say invincible." He noted while reading his comic book.

Cinder: "Do tell." She encouraged them to continue.

Emerald: "Her Semblance is Polarity." She replied, reading Pyrrha's transcripts on her Scroll. "But you'd never know just by watching." Mercury then puts his comic down and sits up.

Mercury: "After watching her fight Team CRDL, I noticed how she seemed to be able to manipulate the metal from her opponents and move them around however she wanted." He explained. "But she only made slight adjustments."

Emerald: "Just enough to make it look like she's untouchable." She added. "She doesn't broadcast her power, so it puts her opponent at a disadvantage."

Cinder: "Hmm... People assume that she's fated for victory, when she's really taking fate into her own hands." She mused. "Interesting. Add her to the list." She ordered, smiling while pulling out the needle in her dress as Emerald puts down her picture into her Scroll. "And what have you found out about the boy?" She inquired about (YN).

Emerald: "Let's see." She pulled up a picture of (YN) and his transcript on her Scroll. "(YN) Braveheart. Son of the late Godred Braveheart. Extremely good at using his sword and shield and a mastery of hand-to-hand combat and expert marksmanship, he seemed to have two Semblances." She listed down.

Cinder: "Two?" She repeated. This perked her interest.

Emerald: "His first Semblance is called Danger Sense. It allows him to sense incoming danger." She explained. "And the other Semblance is called Ergomancy, it gives him the ability to manipulate energy."

Mercury: "When I fought him, his fist was covered in some sort of blue energy in the form of a flame, and has the same color of his Aura." He added in for Emerald's explanation. "You don't think he's... one of them, right?" He asked, looking between Cinder and Emerald. "I mean, it's not an actual Semblance and there's no one that can have two of them, but it's-"

Cinder: "If he IS one of them, we will let him deal with the boy." She advised them. "He has his mission, we have ours. And besides, he's not only one with special powers."

Mercury: "To be honest, I thought you would be able take him no problem, along with Pyrrha." He admitted.

Cinder: "It's not about overpowering the enemy... It's about taking AWAY what power they have." She grinned. "And we will, in time." Mercury lays back down, hands behind his head and sighed.

Mercury: "I hate waiting." He complained.

Cinder: "Don't worry, Mercury. We have a fun weekend ahead of us." She reassured Mercury, and looked at the sewing needle in front of her face.
