Blake POV

     I am reading in my dorm alone, I enjoy my team's company but I do enjoy the few peace and quiet monents I get. Ruby and the others walk in and start situating themselves, I continue reading when Ruby asks.

Ruby: Hey Blake? Who is the big man in this photo?

     I look at the picture Ruby is talking about and she explains how it fell out of one of my books suring cleanup day. I look at the man in the photo showing off his strength by holding me and my parents on his shoulders. My eyes start to water a little, then I explain.

Blake: His name is (Y/n), and he's my adopted brother.

Yang: Wow, I never would've guessed you had a sibling.

Blake: I still remember the day we met.

Flasback 12 years ago

     I was wandering out to the tool shed to get a hammer for dad, we had some water damage on the house to fix because of all the rain we've been having. I get to the door but hear something moving in the shed, I hesitantly open the door and see a large boy around my age, tangled in some wires. He sees me and starts to panic and try to get away.

Blake: Hey, it's okay. *boy cowers further to back wall* Shh, it's okay. I just want to help, please?

     As I got closer to him, he started sniffing, then the boy got closer as he continued to sniff. This made me start laughing, until I notice he is sniffing the flower in my hair.

Blake: Oh. *boy flinches away* You like flowers?

????: Y-Yes.

Blake: Here.

     I pull the flower out of my hair and offer it up to keep him occupied while I get him untangled. I eventually do untangle the boy and he seems much more relaxed, I then ask.

Blake: What's your name?

(Y/n): (Y/n).

Blake: Cool name. I'm Blake. Do you have family?

(Y/n): *looks down in sadness* Not anymore.

Blake: I'm sorry. Hey, you can stay with me, my parents will love you.

(Y/n): Really?

Blake: Yeah, come on! Hahaha!

     I was right, my parents fell in love with (Y/n) and we all happily accepted him into the family. As the years went by, (Y/n) and I did everything together, playing, dancing, and getting into a little mischief too. Most days we would spend just lazily sitting under a shady tree on a hill and while I read books, (Y/n) would just sniff the flowers. Even though (Y/n) could defend himself against Grimm, he disliked violence as a whole. We were the best of friends and would do anything for eachother.

Flashback end

Weiss: So what's (Y/n) up to now?

Ruby: Yeah, we never hear you talk about him.

Blake: Well, while we were growing up, the people of Menagerie would express their concerns for having a rhino faunus in town. Most people only see rhino faunus as just brainless brutes who only know how to ram their heads and horns into anything and everything. (Y/n) was never like that though, he was aware of how strong and big he was and tried his best to not cause trouble. One day though, he was falsely blamed for ruining the flower festival we held every year and he was forcibly taken away. *sniffles* If only I could've gotten to the ship sooner, I didn't even get to say goodbye. *starts crying*

     Everyone then wrapped me in a group hug, I missed my brother so much, and I would do anything to get him back. A few days later and I am sitting in my bed alone, when Ruby and the others rush in to the dorm.

Ruby: Blake, oh good, we found you!

Blake: What are you doing?

Yang: You said your brother is a rhino faunus right?

Blake: Yeah, why?

Weiss: Well, I just found this news story that the traditional rhino gladiatorial fights are happening in Vale and a rhino named (Y/n) is in the main event.

Blake: *hopes up* Do you think it could be my brother?!

Ruby: Only one way to find out. We now have an emergency mission. Who's with me!

Everyone: Yeah!

(Y/n) POV

     I am in a chamber that connects to a hallway to the arena, and my new friend Gwen is trying to encourage me, during my entire time in boot camp, I never tried to fight anyone. But just because I didn't want to fight didn't mean I was afraid to do what was right.

Gwen: Listen, (Y/n) okay. You are the bravest faunus I've ever known. You can do this, but you're gonna have to fight.

     The door to the hallway opens up and I take a deep breath and start to walk through the doorway.

Gwen: Just this one time (Y/n).... please?

     I only give Gwen a smile when the door starts to close behind me and the door to the arena opens. I walk out slowly into the arena for the first time and I see stands full of humans gasping in amazement, I guess. I see my opponent in the middle of the arena, he then tries to get me to start the fight, I was overwhelmed by the crowd groan at my continued refusal to fight, until I get poked by something sharp from behind startling me sending me charging down the field to get away. My opponent waits for me to get close and dodges and slices at my armor. My opponent then goes on the attack trying to hit my vulnerable points, but I still refuse to fight and simply try to dodge his attacks. He eventually starts getting fed up with this and after I dodge his attack again, he ends up behind me and I don't know where he went. The gladiator then jumps from behind and manages to slice my arm under the armor and I yell out a roar of pain.

(Y/n): *ROAR*

Blake POV

     We have finally arrived at the arena and I am making my way to the stands when I hear-

(Y/n): *ROAR*

     Oh no, I rush to the stands as fast as I can and get there to see my brother holding his frightened opponent with his clothing on his horn. He then loses the angry expression and sets his opponent down gently, he looks down and picks up something from the ground.

(Y/n) POV

     I just picked up a flower and my sisters bow from when she was little and remember home where I would happily spend everyday with my sister. I am knocked out of my trance by the sound of approaching footsteps, I look up and the gladiator is holding a spear and gets ready to finish me. We stand there for several seconds, I decide to not be what the world sees me as, but just be myself and I just peacefully sit down. After a few tense seconds the gladiator is about to attack when a whistle is heard from the crowd followed by chanting about letting the rhino live and cheering erupts from the stands. My opponent simply looks at me, nods and walks away with his head held high. From behind me I then hear a voice I never thought I would hear again.

Blake: (Y/n)!

(Y/n): Blake!

     My sister and I rush to each other and she jumps into my arms and we hold eachother in a hug. She then leans her forhead against mine and exclaims.

Blake: *voice breaking* I thought I would never see you again!

(Y/n): It's so good to see you, sister.

Blake: Don't worry, I'm here to take you home now.

(Y/n): Best idea I've heard in a while.

3rd Person POV

     With that Blake takes (Y/n) back to Menagerie where he is finally greeted as a friend by all on the island. Blake finished her education at Beacon and (Y/n) would again spend his days just relaxing under a tree and smelling flowers. The pair grew closer as brother and sister could and they spent all their free time together and they lived happily ever after.
