The Hornet's Nest

The next mission began with the tracker tracking down Cardin's current location, showing him to be located in Atlas where everyone suspected him to be only for the emblem of 141 with Jaune's name underneath it to pop up on the screen a second later.

Blake crossed her arms, "We're back to Ruby and Jaune."

"Cool." Ruby smiled a bit.

Jaune nodded in agreement, "Yeah. At least we'll get something calmer compared to the last mission."

"If you say so." Cardin told him, "Personally I wish it had focused one me again instead."

Nora smirked at him, "Why? So that Renny could keep ordering you around?"

"Shut up!" Cardin blushed in embarassment, "At leat I got a chance to use the cool military equipment, unlike you."

This made Nora go silent in an instant.

"We're sorry. All lines are busy at the moment. Please hang up and try to call again later." A female voice of the phone operator rang through the audience's ears as the camera went upwards and moved all across the map until it reached Jaune's location.

"I can't get anyone on the horn." Pyrrha revealed, the camera having stopped above her and Jaune's location as the screen showing the war in Atlas showed up on the screen.

Roman crossed his arms, "Yeah. No suprises there..."

"I would be suprised if someone actually answered it." Neo stated.

"Looks like they are still unaware of what is happening back in Atlas." Junior stated.

"Yup." Vernal nodded in agreement, "Poor guys are about to be hit with a bomb once they'll return to Atlas."

"War has been brought to the shores of the Atlas.." A male news reporter explained as more screens showing what was currently happening in Atlas began showing up.

"Troops are already stretched to..." Lisa Lavender uttered as the screen showing a newspaper article popped up next to the screens showing the news statiions, "...Scattered all over the world..."

Adam coouldn't help himself and smiled at what he was seeing right now.

Kali gasped, "My god..."

"This a nightmare." Summer commented.

"Keep in mind this is just the start. Everything might just go worse from here." Ironwood grimly stated.

"The Menagerians must've copied the ACS module. Got the key to every lock in Atlas." Ruby stated as the screens began to get smaller and began to gather themselves in the corner of the left side of the viewing screen.

"And they're killing a thousand Atlesians for every dead civilian in Kuo Kuana. Look's like we're all out of friends." Pyrrha added.

Adam's smile grew more upon hearing this as Tyrian grinned, clapping his hands.

"This is getting better and better..." He said in an excited tone, more than eager to see how things will go from here.

Winter paid attention to something else as Pyrrha's words caught her attention, "...Wait. They know about what is happening in Atlas right now?"

"Looks like it, Ice Queen." Qrow nodded, "I was certain they are still being kept in the dark about it due to them being unable to contact anyone."

"Like all of us, Qrow." Tai stated.

Ironwood sighed, "At least they know they need to hurry with whatever infomation they got out of Black regarding Taurus."

"I know a guy Let's find a payphone. They still exist?" Ruby asked as the picture of Sun showed up on the screen.

Sun's eyes lit up in interest, "Hey. I'm back!"

"Nice to see you and Ruby still working together, man." Neptune smiled upon seeing his best fiend return.

Yang crossed her arms, "No fair! Why does he appear again before me?"

"Sucks to be you, blondie." Neo smirked at her.

Yang glared at her, "You little...!"

"Relax. You will show up sooner or later." Weiss cut her off, "We were told by B you will show up in the sequal, after all."

"Yeah. As a flashback." Neo added with her smirk refusing to leave her face as Yang glared at her again.

"All we got outta Black is that the only human woman Taurus hates worse than Atlesians is locked up in a gulag." Pyrrha declared as everything on the screen was swept away and the camera slowly began to locate Jaune's exact position.

Weiss titled her head, "What is gulag?"

B quickly gave her an explanation, "It's something from my homeworld. Gulag was a system of forced labor camps in the Soviet Union."

"I see." Weiss replied in understanding.

Yang crossed her arms, "Jeez. Taurus must really hate this woman if he placed her there out of all places."

"Who is this woman, though?" Pyrrha wondered out loud.

Blake kept herself silent, leaving herself in thoughts as her mind immediately flew to her being the woman in question. However, she was forced to give up on this theory of hers due to the detail of this woman being a human.

"It's all we got. If this con's the bait to catch that psychopath, let's hang him from a tree." Ruby stated as the camera slowly began to lower itself down towards the map.

The screen went back on a second later and the audience could see everything from Jaune's pesperctive once it happened. Jaune pulled out his UMP45 with an ACOG, holding it in ready for the fight as he glanced to the side and saw a beaten up and tortured Mercury strapped to the wall of the building with Pyrrha standing next to him, putting on finishing touches to make sure he won't escape once they'll leave.

Roman crossed his arms, "Damn. They really went all the way on him."

"Looks like something I would do to get info out of someone." Neo nodded in agreement.

"Are you really that suprised, though?" Melanie asked, "We did saw the equipment the ghost woman was planning to use on him."

Ironwood sighed, "Things we sometimes need to do to get valuable information out of people..."

Emerald elbowed Mercury, "Yeah. Someone really got screwed over here, huh?"

"Shut up." Mercury glared at her.

"Sir, the militia's closing in. Almost 200 of them, front and back." Pyrrha filled Ruby in, moving away from Mercury with his weapon in ready while Jaune kept his eyes on the tortured man.

Ruby's eyes widened in suprise, "200 of them?"

"With how many people you had to fight in the last mission focused on you, I'm not so suprised." Weiss stated.

"How are we going to fight all of those people?" Jaune asked with a nervous look on his face.

"Relax. You'll be fine." Nora told him.

"Yeah. You did just fine in the last mission." Pyrrha added with a reassuring smile on her face.

"If you say so. We did lost two of our people back then..." Jaune pointed out.

"We're gonna have to fight our way to the LZ. Let's go!" Ruby ordered as she pushed herself into run up the hill leading towards the other part of the Favela.

"What about Black?" Pyrrha asked as she and Jaune wasted no time and followed Ruby.

"Streets will take care of him." Ruby replied.

"Street? You're so screwed." Emerald glanced at Mercury and shook her head. Having been raised the way she was, she knew streets getting their hands on you was far from a good scenario.

Roman noddded in agreement, "I would just ask them to finish you off and be done with it."

Mercury glared at them, "Shut up."

"Works for me." Pyrrha voiced her approval, having caught up to Roy and Brawnz who were waiting for them on the hill while they took care of Mercury.

Nora glanced at Pyrrha with a suprised look on her face, "Damn. This version of you is so cold, Pyrrha."

"Well, what else were you expecting from a woman dressed up like this?" Coco asked as Pyrrha blushed in embarassment.

Ruby paid her attention more to Roy and Brawnz, "Who are those two?"

"They are Roy and Brawnz from Shade Academy." Sun explained, "I met them and their team a few times after coming to Beacon. They're pretty cool."

Ruby smiled a bit, "Oh..."

"Where were in the last misson, though?" Yang asked, "Vomit boy could have used their help the last time we had a mission focused on him."

Ren placed his hand on his chin, "Perhaps they were with Pyrrha and Ruby?"

"They could be stationed somewhere else in the city as well." Yatsuhashi added.

"Sun! We're at the top level of the favela surrounded by militia! Bring the chopper to the market, do you copy, over!" Ruby called out for Sun as Jaune and Brawnz ran past her and reached the top of the hill. Upon reaching their destination, the two looked up and saw a plane flying above them and looked around themselves to take a better look at their surroundings. What instantly caugh their attention was a power tower standing on the roof of the building ahead of them.

"Ok my friend, I am on the way!" Sun's voice rang through their ears a second later as Jaune and Brawnz ran further into the area, not wasting any time while Ruby, Pyrrha and Roy kept themselves behind them.

Ironwood raised his brow in interest, "What is this chopper?"

B quickly gave him an explanation, "It is called Pave Low which is actually an acronym for Precision Avionics Vectoring Equipment. It is used specifically for special operations and combat search and rescue missions."

"I see." Ironwood nodded with an interested look on his face, "Looks useful."

"It is. Trust me, it is." B confirmed this to him, having lost the count of how many times he used this killstreak while playing multiplayer.

"Everyone get ready! Lock and load!" Ruby shouted just in time for Jaune to glance to the side and be greeted by the group of militiamen rushing into his view.

Roman rolled his eyes, "Great timing, little Red."

"Couldn't have chosen a better moment to make this remark." Cinder added.

"Sorry...!" Ruby apologized sheepishly as her family and friends glared at Roman and Cinder.

Not wasting any time, Jaune aimed his UMP45 at the militiamen and opened fire. Upon gunning them down without giving him a chance to react, Jaune moved towards the elevation next to the power tower building and began to make his way across it. After reaching the end of it all the while keeping his UMP45, he looked around himself and saw the area around him was filled with the militiaman who were everywhere. No matter if it was the ground or the rooftops or the balconies of the buildings in front of him.

Jaune's eyes widened a bit, "...There's so many of them."

Coco crossed her arms, "Yikes. Pyrrha wasn't exaggerating when she said there was about 200 of them heading their way."

"You're telling me." Neptune nodded in agreement.

"How are they going to fight them?" Velvet raised the same concerns as Jaune before.

Nora brushed their concerns off, "Relax. They won't know what hit by the time our fearless leader will be done with them."

Jaune crouched down a second later, knowing he can't keep looking around out in the open for long if he wanted to keep his head and crouched down behind a brick fence. He aimed his gun at the first enemy that he laid his eyes on a second later, killing him with a single shot to the head and slowly began to kill everyone in front of him and his squad until a white pickup with a LMG in the trunk of it bursted through the gate leading to another street.

Jaune wasted no time and immediately shifted his attention to the white pickup, wanting to take it out as quickly as possible as the white pickup drove around in circles around him. Knowing he won't be able to take it out if this keeps happening, he made sure to take out the drive at first and accomplished his goal a few seconds later by placing a bullet between the driver's eyes.

The pickup stopped a second later, having no one driving it anymore as Jaune quickly followed this up by taking care of the LMG shooter and the man from the passenger seat. He moved out of his cover a second later, having just gotten an idea and quickly climbed up on the trunk of the white pickup. He quickly grabbed the LMG and began moving it around, gunning down everyone he had laid his eyes on.

"Nice." Qrow said with an impressed look on his face.

Tai nodded in agreement, "Talk about a useful way of using your enemy's equipment against them."

"He is leaving himself out in the open to be shot by them, though." Winter stated in a slightly disapproval.

Qrow shrugged, "You should know it sometimes you need to take risks like this in situations like this. It's not like they have much time to spare as well."

"We got another technical! Take it out!" Ruby declared as Jaune looked at the street which was closed off by a gate a few moments ago and noticed a second white pickup with an LMG standing in the entrance to it. Not wasting any time, he aimed his LMG at the pickup and gunned down everyone inside of it. He wasn't done with it, though as he kept shooting at the white truck until it couldn't take it anymore and exploded.

A lot of Jaune's friends smiled and cheered upon seeing this scene.

"Hell yeah!" Nora threw her arms up with a massive smile on her face. The fact that this scene had an explosion in it made everything much better for her.

"He massacred that pickup." Sun commented with a smile on his face.

Neptune nodded in agreement, "Yeah. They didn't stood a chance against him."

Coco smirked smugly, "This is what happens when you use a gun like this."

Jaune shifted his attention back to the militiamen a second later, knowing there was no point in keeping himself focused on them for any longer and went back to what he was doing a second later, gunning down whatever remained of the men around him. Upon seeing Ruby, Pyrrha, Roy and Brawnz ran past him into the street, he realized it was time for him to go as well.

"Head through that gate! Keep pushing to the evac point!" Ruby confirmed it to him a second later, running through the gate with Pyrrha, Roy and Brawnz as Jaune quickly pushed himself into run and caught up to her and the rest of his squad.

Sun crossed his arms, "That went smoother than I thought."

"Don't jinx them, please." Yang told him.

Ren nodded in agreement, "Yeah. I doubt they will have more vehicles with machine guns placed on them laying around."

Reloading his UMP45, Jaune looked ahead of himself and saw a burning pickup truck getting pushed down from the corner on Jaune's right to the corner of his left which made him and his squad stop dead in their tracks for a second. They found out it was a good decision a second later as a group of militiamen run out of the corner on the right, following the burning truck.

141 wasted no time and opened fire at them, trying to take out as many of them as possible before they'd run out of their view as Jaune and Roy looked up and saw militiamen were on the roof as well. Not wanting them to cause them trouble later, the two men shifted their fire to them and managed to gun them down with their combined efforts just a second later.

Jaune shifted his gaze away from the roof a second later, seeing a few dead bodies laying on the street in front of him and his squad and advanced forward again with the rest of his squad doing the same.

Goodwitch shook her head, "That was just foolish."

"You're telling me. What else were they expecting to happen from running out into their view, though?" Vernal asked.

Raven nodded in agreement, "Yeah. If I were them, I would remain on the side and plan out to ambush them from the side once they'd walk into our view."

Qrow shrugged, "Whatever. It's not like it's something to complain about."

The squad passed the corner a second later, keeping themselves in ready as they knew an enemy can pop up into their view a second later and looked down to see the street leading them into a yard. Them being cautious paid off a second later as two remaining militiamen from the group from earlier leaned out of their cover in the entrance to the yard. The two men opened fire a second later, but weren't able to do anything as Pyrrha took them out without any problem.

Ozpin nodded in approval, "Perfect reaction time Miss. Nikos."

"Just what you'd expect from our champion!" Nora added proudly.

Pyrrha blushed a bit at all the praises.

Ruby, Pyrrha, Roy and Brawnz moved forward a second later, leaving Jaune behind as Jaune didn't follow them because he had a different idea. Getting himself on top of the elevation close to the entrance to the yard, he looked through his ACOG and began to gun down all the militiamen in the yard from above to provide his squad a safe entrance into the yard as Ruby, Pyrrha, Roy and Brawnz moved into it and took covers behind whatever they could.

Ironwood nodded in approval, "Not bad."

"A good way of supporting your team." Winter agreed with him.

Goodwitch sighed, "Too bad he can't clear out the entire yard, though as he can only look at the small part of it from there."

"Either way, It's stll helping his squad." Ozpin stated.

Upon seeing he won't be able to do much more from his position due to all the remaining enemies being out of his view, Jaune quickly got off the elevation and pushed himself into run to join the rest of his squad. He joined them a second later and immediately took cover behind a ruined green car with Ruby. Looking up, he saw the yard was still filled with the militiamen even with all the work he had put into clearing it from the elevenation and shook his head.

Coco shook her head, "Yikes."

"Yeah. Even with all of his support from earlier, there's still so many of them." Fox stated.

"This is exactly what I was talking about a second ago." Goodwitch explained, "Mister Arc taking care of the militiamen might have looked like it was making things easier while in reality it probably did slim to nothing because of the how little space he could see from there."

Oobleck sighed, "At least he and Miss. Rose managed to find cover."

"How wll they get out of there, though?" Velvet asked.

He reloaded his UMP45 a second later, getting an idea on what to do right now and threw w flash-bang grenade into the yard. The grenade in question exploded a second later, leaving most of the militiamen in the yard blinded and immediately used this as his chance. Rushing out of his cover, he moved into the yard and gunned down every blind enemy around him. His squad wasted no time and instantly followed his example.

Winter nodded to herself, "Another risky play I see."

Qrow shrugged, "Them being risky works so far so I can't see what's your problem here."

Winter rolled her eyes, "All I'm saying is that something will happen sooner or later if they keep going on like this."

Jaune stopped a second later, reloading his gun once again and looked around himself to see everyone was dead or so he thought. An single militiaman with a sniper rifle who was on the balcony popped into his view. Just as Jaune was about to kill the sniper, Ruby did this job for him from her position.

Jaune sighed in relief, "Thank God."

"Have to agree with you here." Blake nodded in agreement, "You can really miss out people hidden like this when you're focusing on the ground."

Neptune nodded in agreement, "Yeah. It can really come back to bite you in the butt."

"Yeah. Who knows what would happen if

"Great job over there, Miss Rose." Ozpin praised Ruby.

Goodwitch nodded in agreement, "You can tell why she was placed as the leader of 141."

Ruby smiled, "Thank you."

Jaune nodded to himself, knowing he doesn't want to worry about this sniper anymore and advanced further. The group split up in this moment as well, taking two different paths as they were greeted by the crossroads here. Jaune took the path on the left with Brawnz and Roy while Pyrrha and Ruby took the path on the right.

Sun rubbed the back of his head, "Is splitting up a good idea here?"

"With all the enemies they have to deal with, probably not." Weiss shook her head.

"It can work in their benefit, though." Blake stated, "This way the militiamen will hav to split up as well as they will have to take care of two groups at the same time."

"Will it be any difference with how many of them there is, though?" Weiss pointed out in a questioning tone.

"We'll see." Blake repled.

Jaune, Roy and Brawnz glanced ahead of themselves as they advanced further into their path with their eyes taking notice of two militiamen. One militiaman was on the balcony and the other militiaman was rushing into a house. Roy and Brawnz took them out at the same time, allowing them and Jaune to move further into the pathway without any trouble.

However, they were greeted by more trouble upon reaching their destination as they glanced ahead of themselves and saw a long street leading upwards. The street was filled with cars and building of all kinds. It had something else as well. The militiamen. Lots of them. Jaune shook his head, knowing rushing out in the open to fight all of them was a certain suicide when he could get jumped by them.

"Alright. I wouldn't be going through that if I were them." Coco stated. With them not having aura, she couldn't see how they could make their way through this street without dying.

Yatsuhashi nodded, "Yeah. They won't be going through that on the foot as going through that would be a certain suicide

"How are they going to get through that without needing to go on foot, though?" Velvet asked.

"They can always try going through the house of they are connected." Sage stated, having seen the one militiamen rushing into the house earlier before he got taken out by either Roy or Brawnz.

He quickly came up with a solution to this problem as he went into the house and killed one enemy inside of it with a single shot to the head while Roy and Brawnz remained outside, intending to fight their way though the street with Ruby and Pyrrha. Jaune wasted no time and moved further into the house and walked up the stairs leading up to the rooftop.

Upon finding himself on the rooftop, he threw a flashbang grenade through the entrance to the house next to him and rushed into the house in question upon hearing the grenade explode. Taking care of the blinded enemies inside, he moved further into the rooftops and glanced down to see Ruby, Pyrrha, Roy and Brawnz fighting their way through the street.

Knowing he can't stop now, he wanted to move further but was forced to stop in his tracks as the militiamen from the street took notice of him and opened fire at him. Crouching down, Jaune reloaded his UMP45 as he knew he was pinned right now and had to do something quickly.

Nora sighed, "Dammit. They have him pinned."

"Yeah. It was going so well until they spotted him." Neptune nodded in agreement.

"He serves as a good distraction, though." Weiss stated, "As the militiamen are focusing on him, the rest can use this to move forward and take care of them without having to worry about them,"

Blake hummed in agreement, "Hmm. True."

"Let's just hope nothing will happen to him here..." Pyrrha said in worry as Jaune glanced at her with a raised brow, a bit taken aback by how worried she sounded right now.

Yang brushed her worries off, "Relax. I doubt anything will happen to him here as he seems covered enough. I doubt they'd kill him off just like that as well."

Coco cleared her throat upon hearing this.

Yang glanced at her and quickly recalled something, "...Oh, right."

Jaune made his next move a second later, pulling out a grenade a second later and threw it at the men firing at him from the street next to him. Using them getting distracted by the grenade and the explosion it caused, he quickly jumped back to his feet and quickly rushed towards the last house in his path along the rooftops, intending to rejoin his squad on the street.

Killing one enemy standing on the balcony of the last house, Jaune walked into it and looked around himself in suprise as suprisingly there wasn't anyone in the house. He wasn't going to complain about it, though. Just as he was about to move out of the house, he found himself backing into it as someone fired at him from ahead of him. It was followed by someone throwing a grenade at him.

Pyrrha's eyes snapped open in worry, "Jaune! Grenade!"

"Dammit! Move away from it!" Sun screamed.

Grabbing the grenade before it could explode below him, Jaune looked at mirror of the building ahead of him and threw the grenade though it. The grenade landed on the building a second later, killing whoever was inside with an explosion as Ruby, Pyrrha, Roy and Brawnz rushed up the hill, moving past Jaune.

Nora smiled widely, "Now that's what I'm talking about!"

"A good way of using your enemy equipment against them." Qrow grinned.

Roman nodded in agreements, "It brings me back to when I got my hands on an Atlesian Palladin."

"Torchwick..." Ironwood began to say.

Roman glanced at him, "What? Would I be lying?"

"Heads up! Alley on the left!" Ruby shouted as Jaune rushed out of the house to join them.

Pyrrha smiled, "They did it."

"See? I told you he'd be fine." Yang told her.

"Their teamwork is really showing off here." Ozpin stated, "Without it they wouldn't be able to get through this street so easily."

Goodwitch nodded in agreement, "True. I really like the teamwork between all of them here."

"I agree. You can tell all of them are a special team." Ironwood voiced his agreement as well.

Ruby, Pyrrha and Jaune couldn't help themselves and smiled at the praise.

Unfortunely, Ruby's warning came a bit too late as one militiaman rushed out of the alley on the left and shot Brawnz in the head, killing him instantly. Brawz's body landed on the ground like a ton of bricks as Roy quickly avenged him by killing the militiaman who killed him.

"Dammit!" Nora screamed as Qrow took a sip from his flask to honor Brawz.

"Poor guy..." Fox muttered under his breath.

"It happened so sudden as well. Just like with Morgan in the last mission." Jaune stated sadly.

Ironwood sighed sadly, "Looks like I was right about us seeing sudden deaths more often in the sequel..."

"Keep moving! We're almost at the market!" Ruby knew it wasn't time to move and ordered her squad to move further. Everyone followed her, leaving Brawnz's body behind. However before fully following them, Roy made sure to take Brawnz's dog tag.

Ironwood and Winter nodded in approval of what Roy just did.

"I really like how we're seeing images like this of them treating their fallen comrades." Ironwood stated.

Winter nodded in agreement, "I have to agree with you, General. You can really tell they care for each other even if their role is minor compared to everyone else."

"Let's just hope he won't get himself killed with it as otherwise it will get lost." Qrow stated.

Upon reaching the top of the hill and found themselves greeted by a grassy yard. Their attention was instantly shifted to the elevation on their right as they saw three militiamen jumping down from it. After making sure all three of them were dead before touching the ground, the squad moved intended on moving further into the field but were forced to slow down a bit upon seeing it was filled with militiamen.

Sky deadpanned at the view of the militiamen, "Seriously?"

"Here we go again..." Dove muttered under his breath.

"Mother didn't have more of them or something?" Russel asked.

Taking cover being a gray car, Jaune made sure to keep himself safe as he slowly began taking care of all the militiamen in front of him. Using his covering fire to their advantage, Ruby, Pyrrha and Roy moved out and advanced further into the grassy field while helping Jaune in taking care of whoever was unfortunate enough to find themselves in their view.

Jaune nodded to himself a second later, knowing it was his chance as moved out of his own cover. However, he was forced to take cover again after finding himself in the middle of the yard as a pickup truck with an LMG showed up and opened fire right after stopping. Not having any other choice right now, Jaune took cover behind a wooden fence to leave himself out of it's view.

"They have more vehicles like this?" Ilia asked.

"We should have seen this coming to be honest." Junior stated.

"How are they going to take it out, though?" Miltia asked, "I doubt leaning out of the cover will be an option here."

Melanie shrugged, "I'm sure they'll figure something out."

Keeping himself crouched down, Jaune glanced to this side and saw Pyrrha was right next to him. The two glanced at each other and nodded, silently coming to an agreement on what to do next. Jaune tossed the flashbang grenade over his head towards the pickup truck a second later, blinding the LMG shooter and everyone else nearby with the explosion and Pyrrha got up from her cover and killed the LMG shooter with a shot to the head.

Knowing it was safe for him to lean out of his cover, Jaune got himself into a standing position and allowed himself to get to know the situation ahead of him better after the pickup was taken out. He saw a few enemies left, the rest having been taken care of by Pyrrha, Ruby and Roy when they were blinded by his flashbang and nodded to himself as he aimed his UMP45 at the sniper in the window of the house.

Taking out the sniper in the window after a few failed shots, Jaune glanced to his side and saw Pyrrha moving forward with Ruby and Roy doing the same. Quickly following their example, he pushed himself into run and the squad of four reached the market a second later.

Goodwitch nodded in approval, "Good teamwork between Miss. Nikos and Mister. Arc."

"They really work well together." Ozpin smiled in agreement, "I wouldn't mind if we saw more situations of them working together like this."

Pyrrha blushed a bit at the mention of this while Jaune raised his brow in confusion.

"Squad! Spread out and cut through the market! Move!" Ruby ordered as her squad listened to her order and split up into two groups of Jaune and Pyrrha and Ruby and Roy.

Weiss raised her brow, "Splitting up again?"

Yang shrugged, "It worked the last time when they did this so I see no problem why they shouldn't do this again."

"This area seems safer than that street as well." Blake stated.

"What about Brawz, though?" Sun asked.

"To be honest he was killed after they regrouped." Fox stated.

Sun sighed, "I see your point."

Pyrrha kept herself behind her cover a second, not wanting to rush out after seeing just how many enemies there were in the market. She threw a grenade a second later, wanting to take care of some of them and leave the rest distracted and the grenade did it's job when it exploded a second later, killing a few unfortunate chickes which were locked up in cages in the process.

"Those poor chickens..." Kali muttered under her breath.

Junior shrugged, "To be honest it's not like they were making out of the market alive."

"Yeah. At least this way they went out with a bang." Qrow added as Kali glared at him, "What?"

Jaune nodded to himself upon seeing this, knowing now it was safe enough for him and Pyrrha to move. The two wasted no time and moved into the market as the two took the path on the left while Ruby and Roy took the path on the right. Using the militiamen being distracted by the explosion of the grenade to their advantage, the squad of four took care of whoever was left at the front part of the market without any problem.

Velvet raised her brow, "Is it done?"

"Looks like it." Scarlet stated.

"They should keep their eyes open, though." Yatsuhashi stated, "We don't want another Brawz situation."

Jaune and Pyrrha stopped in their tracks a second later, reloading their weapons as they had just reached the alley between the buildings. The two of them kept themselves on guard, seeing the alley was pretty tight and knew they could get jumped in it easily. Jaune had a good way of going through the alley without any problems as well in the form of his last flashbang grenade.

Upon making sure both of them were ready to move into the alley, Jaune threw the flashbang into it and waited for it to explode as Pyrrha moved into it. He followed her a second later, hearing the explosion and walking past the dead bodies of the blinded militiamen Pyrrha killed in the path. He glanced at her a second later and saw her standing next to the stand, firing off her weapon at the militiaman on her right.

Jaune joined her a second later, allowing both of them to take care of the militiaman pretty quickly and allowing Ruby and Roy to regroup with them with much problems.

Yang whistled in an impressed manner, "Damn, Pyrrha took the out all by herself?"

"It's Pyrrha. What else were you expecting?" Weiss asked her.

"If anyone would be able to pull this off, it's her." Jaune nodded in agreement as Pyrrha blushed heavily at his words. Something he had failed to notice.

Nora crossed her arms, "Man, I really want to be like her when I grow up..."

"You want to be better than her, Nora." Ren told her.

The squad wasted no time upon regrouping and moved out if the market into the alleyway between a few houses. After reaching the end of it, all four of them looked up and saw Sun flying above them in his Pave Low.

"There's Sun's Pave Low! Let's go." Ruby informed her squad, walking into the open house with her squad keeping themselves closely beind her.

Sun crossed his arms with a smile on his face, "There I am."

"Everything should go smoothly from here." Neptune stated.

"What did I say about jixing earlier?" Yang asked.

Neptune glanced at her, "What? What can happen when your transport is right above you?"

"Sun! ETA 20 seconds! Be ready for immediate dustoff!" Ruby called out to Sun as she moved further into the house with her squad. She turned to the right as second later with her squad following her example.

"That may not be fast enough! I see more militia closing in on the market!" Sun informed her as Ruby reached the exit from the house and walked out of it.

"Pick up the pace! Let's go!" Ruby shouted as Jaune, Pyrrha and Roy joined her outside and saw Sun's Pave Low flying extremely low above the ground, looking like it was about to land on the soccer field between the buildings. Sun was forced to postpone his plans, though as his aircraft was surrounded by the flying RPG and the gunfire from the militiaman.

"It's too hot!" He informed Ruby about it straight away, "We will not survive this landing!"

"Dammit!" Sun shouted in frustation, "Of course something had to happen!"

"What did I say?" Yang glanced at Neptune.

Neptune rubbed the back of his head nervously, "Well, you see..."

"Would Mister. Wukong be even able to land on the soccer field with an aircraft like this, though?" Oobleck asked.

Port nodded in agreement, "You voiced my thoughts, old friend. The field seems too small from Miss. Arc's view."

"Perharps it looked bigger from Mister. Wukong's view." Goodwitch stated, "Either way, it doesn't matter now."

"Sun wave off, wave off! We'll meet you at the secondary LZ instead! Go!" Ruby shouted as Sun turned his Pave Low around while Ruby and her squad took cover behind the fence at the soccer field.

"Very well, I will meet you there! Good luck!" Sun wished them luck, flying off in his Pave Low towards the secondary LZ.

Coco crossed her arms, "Ruby's really owning this leadership role, huh?"

"She does a pretty good job at it as well." Yatsuhashi added.

Fox shrugged, "Only a fool would allow Sun to land there, anyway."

Jaune aimed his UMP45 at the roof in front of him, taking out whoever was there while the rest of the squad took care of whoever was left on the ground level. Soon enough, all of the militiamen were dead by their combined efforts and it was safe for everyone to move out.

"Alright. It's done." Scarlet stated.

Sage sighed, "Too bad they have to move someplace else to be taken out of here."

"Come on! We've got to get to the rooftops, this way!" Ruby shouted, moving out of her cover and she was quickly followed by Jaune, Pyrrha and Roy. Upon reaching the wall, all of them climbed up and began running across the rooftops on their way to the secondary LZ with Jaune running in the back of the group, "Let's go! Let's go!"

Neptune raised his brow in interest, "We'll be getting some parkour here?"

"Awesome." Yang smiled, "Just like the mission with Ruby and vomit boy when they were climbing on ice."

"Something's gonna go wrong, isn't it?" Neo asked.

Nora glanced at her, "Don't you start..."

"Open your eyes. They're running on the poor looking rooftops. Something is bound to happen in an enviroment like this." Neo pointed out to her.

"My friend, from up here, it looks like the whole village is trying to kill you!" Sun remarked as Jaune watched Ruby, Pyrrha and Roy jumping from one roof to the other.

"You don't say?" Weiss deadpanned at the obvious remark.

"Tell us something we don't know, monkey boy." Yang added.

"It's the other me!" Sun blshed in embarassment.

"Tell me something I don't know! Just get ready to pick us up!" Ruby had the same mind as the audience in regards of Sun's remark as Jaune followed his squad's example and jumped from one roof to the other and looked ahead of himself and saw his squad being ahead of him, having just made their way onto another rooftop.

"See? Even Ruby agrees with me." Weiss added to what she said a moment ago.

"I already told you it's the other me!" Sun reminded her.

"We're running out of rooftop!" Pyrrha remarked upon reaching the edge of the building, informing them about it and jumped across the rooftops.

"We can make it! Go go go!" Ruby shouted, having just jumped across the rooftops herself with Roy quickly following her example.

Jaune jumped off the rooftop a second after Roy, being the last one from his squad to do it and glanced ahead of himself to see Ruby, Pyrrha and Roy waiting on the rooftop ahead of him, keeping their guns in ready and keeping their eyes open to make it safe for him to land. Sun's Pave Low was waiting for them on the rooftop behind them as well.

Jaune landed on the roof a second later, having barely reached it, but unfortunely it was when a problem arose as he slipped and slided off the rooftop. He grabbed the edge of the roof, holding onto it tightly but it wasn't enough as and his hands gave in. He fell down to the ground as Ruby tried to catch him to no avail as he landed on the ground with a loud thug, making the scream go black for a moment.

Most of the audience instantly grew worried and alarmed by what just happened as Jaune clenched his armseats in worry for his counterpart.

"Jaune!" Pyrrha shouted in worry.

Neo crossed her arms, "I knew it."

"Is he okay?" Ruby asked in worry.

Ren nodded at her, "He must be. I doubt the fall killed him."

"Looks like this version of Arc has a problem with jumping over stuff." Cardin stated.

Nora glared at him, "What's the supposed to mean?"

"Come on. Don't boo me as you know I'm right." Cardin told her, "Arc failed to make the jump when he and Rose were climbing up the ice and she had to pick him up. Remember?"

Nora's glare faded away from her face at this, "...Oh, right."

"Jaune! Jaune! Wake up!" Ruby called out for Jaune as Jaune opened his eyes. His vision was blurry at first, but it sharpened in a few seconds.

"Jaune! We can see them from the chopper! They're coming for you, dozens of 'em!" Pyrrha added as Jaune looked around himself and saw he was slowly getting surrounded by the militiamen from every possible side. They were everywhere. On the street and on the rooftops. Simply everywhere and Jaune was there all by himself without a gun, having lost his UMP45 after the fall.

Pyrrha gasped, "There's too many of them..."

"He needs to get out of here! Now!" Ruby shouted nervously.

"But where?" Mercury asked.

"Somewhere the others will be able to collect him, I guess." Emerald replied.

"Jaune! There's too many of them! Get the hell out of there and find a way to the rooftops! Move!" Ruby told Jaune as Jaune had his eyes set on the militiamen on the roof behind him while getting himself back on his feet.

"Come on..." Pyrrha muttered under her breath in worry.

"Hurry up. You have no time to waste here." Winter commented.

"Run for it! Get to the rooftops!" Ruby shouted as Jaune pushed himself into run and rushed into the house next to him while the militia fired their guns at him.

Ruby sighed in relief, "Phew, that was close."

"Yeah. He must have started running just as they were about to gun him down." Blake stated.

"I wouldn't be completely relieved right now if I were you." Roman told them, "Is he anywhere close your team?"

Jaune kept himself silent, watching everything with a worried look on his face.

"Jaune, we're circling the area but I can't see you! You've got to get to the rooftops!" Ruby informed Jaune while a shadow of the Pave Low flied above Jaune as Jaune sprinted through the building as fast his legs could carry him right now, running as if his life depended on it right, because it did.

Ruby pointed at the screen, "There's the shadow of the Pave Low!"

"Come on. You're getting close to it..." Pyrrha kept worrying for Jaune's safety.

"Where are they going to land it, though?" Goodwitch asked, "I doubt they'll be able to land it with all those people on Mister. Arc's tail and with how many space they need to land this aircraft."

Ozpin sighed, "They'll have to figure something out."

Jaune rushed out of the building and rushed down the stairs of the small alley between the buildings, running past a terrified civilian who made his way into his house.

Qrow took a sip from his flask, "Poor guy."

"Yeah. Must be an eventful day for him." Vernal nodded in agreement.

Watts shrugged, "Probably not as eventful as for him."

"Come on! Get him!" Tyrian cheered on the militiamen.

Not thinking much of him right now, Jaune rushed up the stairs and entered the next building. Going through the building, he quickly found a balcony and jumped through it, landing on another set of the rooftops.

"Jaune! I see you! Jump down to the rooftops and meet us south of your position! Go!" Ruby shouted as Jaune made his way through the rooftops, doing his best to avoid all the bullets flying past him.

"This is so intense..." Sun stated.

Neptune nodded in agreement, "You're telling me. I'm feeling the nervousness he must be going through right now..."

"The bullets flying past him aren't making this better..." Sky added.

"Gas is very low! I must leave in thirty seconds!" Sun announced all of a sudden.

"Jaune! We're running on fumes here! You got thirty seconds! Run! Left! Turn left and jump down! Come on!" Ruby added as Jaune reached the end of the rooftops and turned to the left, rushing and jumping through the rooftops.

"What?" Ruby exclaimed in shock and worry.

"Uh-oh..." Jaune found himself growing more worried for his counterpart.

"He's gonna leave him if they run out of gas?" Nora asked with an angry look on her face.

Watts deadpanned at her, "What else do you want them to do? Stay behind and run out of gas, getting themselves killed in the process."

"But still...!" Nora tried to argue.

"Come on, Jaune." Pyrrha quietly kept cheering him on, "You can do it..."

Upon reaching the last set of the rooftops, he slided down and crashed though the window where he was greeted by the view of the Pave Low with a ladder slided out and Ruby standing in the door to it.

"He's almost there..." Velvet remarked.

"Come on. Keep pushing..." Pyrrha muttered.

"Jump for it!" Ruby shouted as Jaune reached the end of the path and had no other choice but to jump forward with his hands reaching out towards the ladder.

Everyone silently watched the scene with the younger part of the audience hoping for Jaune to make this jump with all of his classmates and friends silently cheering him on with Pyrrha hoping or rather praying for this counterpart to make it. Jaune himself stayed silent and watched everything with a tense and nervous expression on his face, hoping to see his counterpart make it.

Jaune grabbed the ladder a second later, holding tightly into it and having no intending of letting go off it anytime soon.

Jaune leaned back in his seat, letting out a relieved sigh.

Ruby and Nora threw their arms in the air, both of them letting out long cheers, "Yes!"

"He made it!" Pyrrha smiled widely in relief.

Sun sighed in relief, "Man, that was close."

"Too close." Blake nodded in agreement, "I was starting to get worried he won't end up making out of there alive."

Yang brushed her off, "Come on, Blakey. As if he will die anytime soon."

"Yeah. I need to see more cool moments with him and Pyrrha." Nora added, winking at Pyrrha and Jaune in a playful teasing manner and Pyrrha blushed while Jaune raised his brow in confusion.

Coco smiled in amusement, "You want to lit the fire between them or something?"

"Maybe~." Nora replied, making Pyrrha blush more while Jaune was more confused.

"Sun! We got him! Get us out of here!" Ruby shouted as Jaune looked up at her and saw her gesturing to Sun to take them away.

"Where to, my friend?" Sun asked as the Pave Low began to fly out of Kuchinashi.

"Just get us to the sub..." Ruby gave him her answer.

The screen turned black a second later, meaning the end of the mission.

Neptune shook his head upon seeing the screen go black, "Wow. What a mission..."

"Yeah. I agree..." Pyrrha agreed with her with her blush fading away from her face, "I'm just happy Jaune made it out alive..."

Ren nodded in agreement, "Same here."

"I'm glad Roy survived as well." Sun stated.

Blake nodded in agreement, "Good to know not everyone who isn't the main charactes will end up living through the missions."

"It would be cool of we saw him come back in later mission as well." Neptune added.

"I'm just happy I saw myself again." Sun added to his thoughts on the mission, "I was starting to get worried I would only show up in the first game."

Yang crossed her arms, "At least you returned. Unlike my counterpart who is still nowhere to be seen."

"Velvet is nowhere to be seen as well." Coco added, "You'd expect her counterpart to show up with everything that is going on right now."

"Relax. If I were to guess, she is probably doing something in Menagerie right now." Fox told her.

Coco nodded, "Yeah. Let's hope."

"We got some information on how to get close to Taurus as well." Goodwitch stated.

Winter nodded in agreement, "Yeah. This woman in the gulag."

"I wonder who she will be." Tai wondered out loud.

"Only one way to find out." B replied, pressing the button to start the next mission.
