Last Time on 'RWBY VR MMO RPG'

(Y/N) came into contact with the gods themselves. They offered him a chance to be the pawn in there experiment with Rement, and he agreed. Fighting his way through several Grimm and Bandits along the way. He learned the basics of how to fight in this new world. What will happen when he goes into town and starts up trouble here... Find out, now!

(A/N): The last chapter will be updated with the a little 'next time on 'RWBY VR MMO RPG' thing along with every chapter that comes after this. So quickly go back a page, read that and then come read the rest of the chapter.

(Y/N)'s POV

After soldering through the forest for, I kid you not, 5 HOURS!!!!!! I FINALLY make it too some kind of town, or city. After climbing hills, killing Grimm, and falling off and proceeding to scale up a water falls... Yeah, I don't ask.

I'm exhausted, I'm hungry...

I'm cold, I'm wet, THERE'S A FISH ON MY HEAD!!!!

Darkness: No your not.

AND THEN THERE'S THIS COCK-...

...God?

Light: We make several alterations to your body so that you'll always be acting at 100% maximum power.

Darkness: We've made it so that you don't need to sleep, but doing so will replenish your health. You also no longer need to eat, but doing so will replenish health. If you carry snacks with you, then you'll be able to recover health mid battle.

Light: And temperate changes are not a problem because you're body with quickly adjust so you can survive in any environment. As for the moisture, that'll go away. Faster thanks to us.

... But what about the fish...

Light: Just take it off. No one likes your references.

Feeling hurt, I swat the fish away.

Without realizing it, I had walked quite a bit into the city while the gods were talking. There wasn't skyscrapers or extremely tall buildings. But small apartment buildings, local stores and small businesses. This small local feeling puts me at ease as my clothes dry at a rapid rate and the cold feeling I felt starts to evaporate form the core of my being.

However every was a bit hard too make out, as the Darkness of the night put a shadow of most things in my vision. The people around me, normal people living there own lives are like shadows in themselves. I couldn't make out any facial features on anyone. Almost like blank slates within the world. It's very unsettling how I can't see anyone faces. Can they see mine? I can see everything else relatively fine but-

Light: You shouldn't care about these people.

What?

Darkness: You shouldn't concern themselves with opinions of the insignificant. These people don't matter to your new life. They could go all dead and it wouldn't matter.

But-

Light: But nothing. Just keep walking. You'll get too the main story soon enough.

... The slap in the face was a simple fact that I had forgotten so quickly. They're Gods. They don't, and will never see things the way I do. They don't look at the details, just the bigger picture.

They only care about me because I'm there play thing. Nothing more. I get filled with a sense of dread as I had forgotten the situation they had layed out too me.

...But ignoring that...

I see tons of small stores. 'Skadoodle Noodle' 'Weapons Closet' 'Combat Skirts and Shirts'.

These names make it pretty easy to know what these stores sell... But I slow don't slightly at the store called 'From Dust Till Dawn'. I get that there was supposed to be a pun, but by I get get it. Why dust? Is that something special here-

*Crash!*

That thoughts come to a halt. My brain goes blank for a second as the sound of glass shattering runs through my ears. My brain's processing power just stopped working for a second, but when I start to register the world again.

Here's what I saw.

Out form the window of the store I was gawking at, which I should mention was only a few feet in front. As glass surrounded them, I saw two people that were... Well, one was standing, the other one was one the ground unconscious (Assuming he's not dead).

The one on the ground was a man, fully grown, in a black tuxedo, fadora, and sunglasses... Wait, it's night time. Why shades?

But regardless, the one on their feet was a female. She looked of a teenage age, 14-15 to be specific. She was around, I would say 5 feet tall, and a all black outfit, with some red highlights. Her hair was black with red highlights, boots with red shoe lasses, black stockings, black skirt with red at the end, a corset with a red middle and she seems to have some kinda longed selved shirt under it and red at the cuffs. She also where a bright red cloak with a hood at its head...

...And a Scythe... Now stay with me, I'm not crazy.

She is carrying I giant scythe over he shoulder. It's even bigger than she is, and it also seems mechanical. A metal blade and handle painted a darkish red and black.

... I couldn't make this up even if a wanted to.

Not noticing that I existed and was a few feet away for her, she proceeded to spin the scythe around her body a take a battle stance towards the window she just broke. Planting the blade of her scythe into the pavement.

I stepped back form and whole scene in general to get a better view, I tilt my head and see several men. About five of them, all but one had the same uniform as the man that is on the ground. But all of these men where armed, either with crimson blades or very futuristic looking machine guns.

All but one.

This man was slighty taller than me and this girl, with long enough orange hair to cover one of his eyes, a white coat, a bowler hat, and cane or some kind of walking stick. He's in front and he seems to be a 'Leader' of some kinda to them.

White Coat: Okay... Get her.

He orders his men nonchalantly. As they rush out of the stores front door, one of them tries to swipe at her with his sword but she quick jumps over it, using the Scythe like a kangaroo tail to keep her in the air. She spins in mid air, kicking him and knocking him out in one blow.

The other two rushed after after and in a swift movements, that in had trouble keeping up with, she swing her scythe slashing at their chests and legs, knocking them out. I'm guessing the all have aura just like me. It seems to be not uncommon.

And finally, the last of the thugs started to shoot at her, but again, she goes at speeds that were hard for me to keep up with to dart around the battle field. And keep in mind, I'm standing a few feet to the side of the battle field, so with her inhuman speed she darts around and accidentally breezes past me causing man to fire in my direction, and by instinct I active my aura and crouch down, putting my arms over my head in a defensive position. Some bullets to bounce off my skin, but it's more irritating to anything else.

However this didn't stop her, and she kicks the last armed man in the face, knocking him out. She did this all within about 15 seconds and I still do not fully understand the situation.

Red Hood: Hey!

The girl said as she turned to me.

Red Hood: You need to leave! You're gonna get hurt if you just stand there.

As she was talking to me, my eyes dart other to the one person she hasn't knocked out, the man in the white coat. His eyes dart from me, too her, and back to me. Like I said earlier, he was holding a cane. He lifted his cane towards me, and...

*BOOM*

A load song ringed in my ears. My vision was foggy for a second. I feel as if some heavy hit my in my stomach.

I was laying on the floor a few feet away from where I was standing and... She was laying on top of me. Her cloak was slightly burnt, and she was unconscious.

I quickly sat up and sat her beside me, still, like, 45% in the dark about what is happening around me.

But from my confusion rose laughter from him. The man with a the cane was couldn't be more amused at the sight before him.

White Coat: HA HA HA HA! I can't believe that 'actually' worked! I knew that this kid was dumb, but to use herself as a human sheild for some random kid!? HAHAHAH! Gotta love the naive ones. They make my job a little more fun.

... My mind can't keep up with the changes of the situation. First, the girl was kicking everyone's ass, now she's unconscious and he's laughing!?

That enough! I'm done sitting here like a scared little kid.

After making she was okay, I stand up and put my fists up.

White Coat: Really? Kid, you've been standing there like a lost child, do you really think-

*Crash*

That was the sound my feet breaking the ground as I put everything I have into dashing at him. Punching him in his cheak, sending him a dozen feet away form me. He is quick to recover and stands tall looking at me with a mixture of shock and annoyance.

White Coat: ... *Sigh* ... I guess we're doing this... Let's dance kid.

Shit! He's using an ultimate attack right off that bat?! I could even react, he lifts his cane and... Shoots flare gun rounds from the end of it!? What kind of cane is that! The first shot is a direct hit, ending be back and I crash into a building. However I am about to stand up and block the next two shots. The ground breaks below me as it the intensity of the shots were that powerful. Since when could flare guns do that?!

Darkness: You just started fighting.

Yeah, but can I start over?

Light: No.

Ah F%%k.

Standing tall and having aura to spare now, I use a Meteor Crush and I jump on top of him, smashing his face in. After that, I let him stand up, only to start hitting him with a flurry of punches and kick in various places on his body.

However, this was a problem because he had more Aura and Stamina than me. So I decide to back out of the clash before it does serious damage.

With another blast from his cane, I get sent back again. Feeling the pain as my face hits the pavement of the street few meters away form the clash.

Ok, nevermind. I was wrong, this guy isn't an easy fight. Did I go in too cocky, or is he just that good. Either way, I need a plan.

Light: This man is not as strong as the woman you fought in the forest, yet you're having this much trouble? You really did make it out alive because of luck.

Thanks for the pep talk. Are you gonna give me any tips or anything?

Darkness: We were gonna give this too you later on, but it seems your sheer incompetence as made this necessary.

Just give it too me.

Light: Tell me do you believe in magic.

I'm talking to God through telepathy while time has stopped right now, so yeah.

Darkness: Well for agreeing to help us for our project, we bestow a gift upon you that only very few beings on this planet share. The ability to use magic freely.

... I would be more excited but I'm still in a lot of pain.

Light: You can fix that yourself.

How?

Light: Did you forget Aura heals you?

.... Yes actually.

Darkness: I would say I'm surprised, but everyone on your planet has their brains on backwards.

Light: I said design them exactly like the old human race, but no. You wanted to spice it up.

Darkness: Only in hopes that it would be in improvement.

Light: Well look at them now! Only able to use that 10% of their brain, and they turned out even worse then the old ones.

Nothing! Just- Agh! I'll heal myself as much as I can, then you make me a wizard.

Darkness: The first new power you gained is being able to set up barriers. They won't last forever, but unlike regular blocking you don't take any damage what some ever.

Ok... Ok! What else!

Light: Well because magic is also tied to your soul, they well cost Aura to use. So spells will be classified as Ultimates and Supers. You can have 4 Supers and 2 Ultimates equipped at a time. Here are your new powers.

Really? A? I thought I did I wasn't doing that good.

Darkness: You're not the only one.

Wow! Thanks!

Darkness: You don't need to show your gratitude. I already know.

... Just let the story kick back in.

Roman gets knock back, seemingly unconscious. I breathe a sigh as that was a mixture of difficult and annoying. Doying as one may say.

Light: That's not a word.

Shut up, my inner narration.

After getting my chance for that breath, it hit me that girl from really was still unconscious...

Well that's what I thought, but when I turned around... she was standing completely up right, having just been a spectator for my battle. Our eyes locked and a wave of awkwardness and anxiety flooded both of us.

(Y/N): Uh... A-Are you ok?

Red Hood: O-Oh, Yeah! I just... got knocked out for a few seconds... And I may or may have not seen the whole... Which by the way, was SO cool!

(Y/N): Th-Thanks... So uh... Can I get a name?

Ruby: OH! Right! Where my manners. Ruby. Ruby Rose.

Batwoman?...

I extend my open hand.

(Y/N): (Y/N) (L/N).

We have a quick hand shake, and then I put my attention back on Roman...

...

Da f%%k he go? ...

...

... WHERE THE HELL DID HE GO!

I thought he was unconscious, but when I look back at where I defeated him, and he just-... IS NOT THERE!!!

Ruby: Hey, what's wrong-

She looks past me as sees Roman... not there, or rather just doesn't see Roman.

Ruby: Wha-?! Where did-? He was-? ... What!?

Honestly same.

How could he just slip past me like that? It doesn't make any sense-

The shock of a forceful touch rush through my body like static. What touched me was hard, rough, and a little sharp. It wrapped around my torso ravenously, like a colossal squid that hasn't eaten in days. It hurt, but it was nothing new that I haven't experienced yet. As the small bits and pieces of pain settle in, the feeling of uncontrollable elevation was what was also settling in to everything below the unexplained entity wrapped around me, trapping my arm under it so I couldn't properly struggle.

I collect my thoughts enough to finally see what the hell was happening. What was grabbing me and lifting me up was... I bunch of stones, rocks, and broken peices of the asphalt from my battle with Roman. They were glowing a purplish pink as they connect to form a a tight bind our my body, lifting me into the air.

The next thing I was able to register was the sound of foot steps, specifically someone wearing heals.

Turning my head over to that sound, I found the source. A woman that was very clearly an adult, 20's-30's. She had long wavy blonde hair, glasses, a white blouse with small window to see her cleavage. A black corset and skirt, along with a matching leggings and heels. But the first thing that suck out too me was she was carrying around some sort of stick or wand, and she was aiming right at me. This allowed me to make the leap and logic that she make this rock snake to bind me here...

But like... Why though.

Blondey: You have a lot of explaining to do.

Her head shifted form me too Ruby.

Blondey: You too, young lady.

Ruby slightly shivered at her stern tone.

Timeskip/Loading Screening brought too you by Chibi (Y/N) being carried by Chibi Blondey like a balloon, while Chibi Ruby is trailing behind her like a mother and child.

...

We were literally- Well, I was literally dragged to the police station for questioning. I was sitting in a questioning room, and an officer told me not leave under any circumstances... So... I'm just chilling at the table looking at the door...

Light: There's something we need you to do.

Oh, I forgot you guys were there. Wassup?

Light: So casual? ... No matter. There will be a man that will enter with grey hair, and a green outfit. When he asks you about your magic, tell him that 'the gods gave it too me'.

... Why.

I got no response as I heard the door open... The woman that captured me enters looking ever so slightly more annoyed then when I first layed eyes upon her. As I sat in my seat, she crossed her arms and stared at me, not in an inpatient manner but more of a curious manner.

Blondey: Now for you... May I have a name.

I speak as calmly as I could as she did intimidate me to a certain degree.

(Y/N): (Y/N) (L/N).

Glynda: Well, Mr. (L/N), my name is Glynda Goodwitch. I would like first like to preference this discussion by saying this. Your actions were in self defense, but you failed too realize the situation you were truly in. Miss Rose took a hit for you because of your inability to act, and you could have easily jump in due to your clear skill in combat, you stood and watched. Both you and Miss Rose make this mistake and now Roman Torchwich, one of, if not the most dangerous known criminal is still out in the streets.

It's like getting lectured by a teacher. She's trying to be as gentle with her tone as possible while still getting her point across and making me care about the words that come out of her mouth.

And with those words, I was proving her point by not being able to respond to her truth. My head lowered, but not to an extreme degree. She notice and took note of it.

Glynda: With that said, I would also like too say that you did preform beautifully in the heat of combat. There can cameras a over the city with the street lights and looking over the footage, you are clearly a very skilled warrior. I want you to understand that, and that with your abilities, you did everything you could.

This was... Almost motherly. And oddly comforting.

(Y/N): Thank you, Miss Goodwitch.

Glynda: You're welcome. On the topic of that footage, looking over your skills and abilities, there is some who would like to ask a bit more about.

The door open and closed again... This time, it was a man. I honestly couldn't for the life of me tell you what's his age, but I can tell you he had glasses a mostly dark green outfit, and grey hair. This is the man that Light told me about.

Wait... What did he tell me to tell him again?

Man: (Y/N) (L/N) is it?

He said, as he held a plate of cookies out and placed them on the table. I don't go for them immediately... Because stranger danger, so my eyes dart towards the plate and back too him.

(Y/N): Correct... And you are.

Ozpin: I am known as professor Ozpin. I am the headmaster of at Beacon academy. But I wanted to ask... Where did you learn to do this.

Glynda, how was right behind him off to left, was hold some kinda table with a screen. The screen was displaying an overhead view of my fight with Roman, specifically it was me using magic. My shield, and Purified Ashes.

(Y/N): O-Oh uh... It's- Well... It was a gift from God?

I say with a slight shrug and a uncomfortable smile. Partly because it don't know how to deliver this information with it being believable, and also because I was only have paying attention to Gods requests.

It was at least along the lines of what he wanted you too say right?

Darkness: Yes, it will suffice.

Neat.

Back to reality, I look at Ozpin and Glynda. Ozpin expression hasn't changed, I can't really tell what he's thinking, and Glynda is more confused than anything else.

Why did you want me too ask this anyway?

Light: Because this transition will be a little less shocking.

After he said that my vision felt hazy, and the inside of head spun every so slight. A similar feeling too when I first meet the Gods...

And before I knew it, I was in the white Void that the Dark and Light first came too me in... Only this time, I found it wasn't just be and the presence of deities. Ozpin and Glynda were also with me in the void.

They were both confused and before they could comment or say anything, the Gods make themselves know. They loom over us and stare at all with their none existent eyes...

Ozpin was in shock, but with a sense of understanding of the situation. Glynda on the other what was speechless, and a little frightened, without the understanding that Ozpin possesses...

... And I can already tell, this isn't gonna go well.
