A dark female figure looms over Nero with a sinister grin on her face and an evil glare in her malicious orange-amber eyes as the young boy was on his knees, gasping for breath. The female silhouette holds her hand out and a small orange flame appears in her palm. 

???: "A school on fire, an entire kingdom has been destroyed. You have no place amongst us, you pathetic weakling....and yet you have a power that can benefit us greatly. Grow and expand this power....for when the time comes....It. Will. Be. MINE."

As the woman leaves, a bright flash of white envelops the screen. The screen fades into Nero waking up from his slumber and a ringing noise fills the young boy's ears. Nero slowly gets up and shakes his head.

Nero (Thoughts): "Who was that woman? Why did it seem like she had magical powers?  She seemed kind of evil, not gonna lie. Wait...did she say that I have powers? Sounds like it was a power she reeeaally seemed to want for herself. But why me? Ugh....*Nero shakes his head* all this thinking is making my head hurt, well, I just hope that this school will be able to actually educate me. I also hope tha--."

Ozpin: "Mr. Legatus." 

Nero: "Yes Professor?" 

Ozpin: "We have arrived."

Nero: "Arrived where exac--....Oh. My. God."

Nero was caught mid sentence as before him lied a gigantic castle like structure with the Vale kingdom symbol emblazoned on the various flagpoles throughout the courtyard. There was also a fountain with a huntsman lifting a sword. This was the legendary Beacon Academy. 

Nero: "Woah."

Ozpin: "Yes it certainly is a sight isn't it? Now, if you will please follow Ms. Goodwitch *Goodwitch nods at Nero, who nods back in response*, she will lead you to the cliff where you will start your initiation. Do you understand?"

Nero nods in acknowledgment to which Ozpin responds with a smile. 

Ozpin (to himself): "I'm expecting great things from you Nero....don't let us down."

Timeskip

After Nero had a quick bathroom break and checking to make sure all his equipment is in order and prepared, he walks out to the cliff where Ozpin and Glynda were waiting for him. 

Somewhere else inside the school

???: "C'mon you guys! I wanna go see!"

A young girl was running all over her dorm room waking up her teammates, her bright silver eyes shining to the brim in pure, unbridled excitement. She kept at it until all her teammates were finally ready to go, although one of her teammates in particular was very unhappy.

???: "Ruby please. You know how much I hate it when you wake us up like this!" The girl in white declares in exasperation.

The girl with silver eyes, now known as Ruby, looks down and then back up, smiling all the way as the two girls' other teammates, consisting of a raven haired bow wearing girl who had amber eyes and a girl with long blonde hair who had lilac eyes followed. As they walked to the cafeteria, they met up with their friends. 

Ruby(squealing with excitement): "Oooooooh I can't wait to see what the new student has as their weapon! I bet it'll be so incredibly awesome!" Ruby exclaims as her teammates and friends sit down, as does everyone else as a holographic screen turns on.

Weiss: "Hmmm, I'm just interested to see if this 'new student' as you call him has the qualities to be at Beacon. No doubt this'll be just like Jaune. No combat experience whatsoever."

Jaune (off-screen): "I heard that!!!"

Yang: "Well, whoever this new student is....hope he's hot~" She says with a seductive purr as the rest of her team and friends sweatdrop at this statement and look at her with a deadpanned expression and then turn back to the screen as the new student appears.

Outside

Nero walks and walks until he finally arrives at the cliffside with just a minute to spare. Ozpin looks up from his tablet to see Nero approaching him and Glynda as his face contorts into a smile. 

Ozpin: "Ah Mr. Legatus, I see you managed to make it. And with just a minute to spare as well. I must say I'm very impressed." Ozpin says in a content tone of voice. Glynda looks at Nero with a small smile and nods at him as Nero nods back.

Nero: "Yes sir. Sorry it took me so long to get here. I got mixed up with all those hallways so I got extremely lost. What really surprised me was the fact that I didn't run into any of the students on the way." He says with an awkward smile and rubs the back of his neck. 

Ozpin: *chuckles* "Yes well I'm glad you managed to get here. Now, this is where you will begin your initiation. You will be launched from this cliff and to pass you must reach the temple at the northern most part of the forest, retrieve one of the relics that rests there and come back to this cliff. Do not hesitate to kill the Grimm that try to impede your path. Or you will die. Keep in mind that your initiation will be broadcasted to the entirety of Beacon. Is that understood?" Ozpin asks the boy as Nero steps up to the launchpad and throws off his cloak as he gives Ozpin a smirk and stands in a ready position.

Nero: "Bring it on Prof. Throw whatever Grimm you've got at me. I'm ready." Nero declares as he takes a deep breath and stares at the forest with a determined fire in his eyes.

Inside the Cafeteria

Inside the Cafeteria, lots of students were commenting on the Nero and how he looked.

RS (Random Student) #1: "Woah! Is that the new student?"

RS #2: "He looks so cool!"

Meanwhile the girls of Team RWBY blushed really hard when they laid eyes on the boy and took in each and every single one of his features. From his ash-blonde and blue tipped hair and his blue and red tinted eyes to his clothes. What they really found mesmerizing about the boy was the silver and blue wing emblem on the back of  his outfit. But what they and Team JNPR found interesting was the way this new guy held himself. Like he knew this was coming and was already prepared for it. The Aura he gave off seemed to be calm and kind but it belied the nature of a mighty and fierce warrior. In each of the girls of Team RWBY's minds ran a single thought as they were still blushing.

Ruby: "Ohmyoum! he looks so cute!"

Weiss: "Dear me he looks so handsome! He looks like a knight in shining armor!"  

Blake: "He looks like one of the characters from my books. It looks like he's seen battle before. But why do I sense something else in him? Something......painful."

Yang: "Oooohh~. Mama sees and mama likes this new guy."

Meanwhile

Ozpin: "Alright then Mr. Legatus. Your initiation and takeoff launch will begin in 3..."

As Ozpin counts down, Nero quickly stretches and gets ready.

Ozpin: "2!"

Nero crouches and breathes deeply while a sweat drop runs down his forehead.

Nero: *thoughts* "Here we go. I'm going to be the greatest Huntsman Remnant has ever seen!"

Ozpin: "1! Launch!" Ozpin finishes counting as the launchpad launches Nero out into the Emerald Forest.

Ozpin: *thoughts* This the beginning of your journey Nero. I know it may seem like a dream come true but soon you will understand that you might be in the fight of your life. I do not wish to send you into a war, but I pray that this test will help you find your resolve to fight . Remnant needs you now more than ever. Oum speed Nero Legatus. Please do not fail us now. Remnant is doomed otherwise.

The screen shows Nero as a child all beaten up while looking down at the ground before he turns into a silhouette and shows him drawing his sword.

Always act afraid, I'm oblivious and now it's back to haunt me~ Forever

The screen the transitions to Team RWBY walking down a path while the ground shows shadows of Nero's former family before it shows the girls each looking into a mirror.

Countless skies that I've painted, surely, this is where my heart finally doesn't fall apart (won't fall apart)

The screen then shows the hands of the RWBY girls reaching up at the sky then quickly changes to Nero's hand reaching out to his moon before it changes to become Remnants shattered moon. The screen then changes to Nero on the Ark before he passes through a barrier into Remnant.

Jumping high from my dreams, I'll fly! No matter what the cost, Today I'll find a way to shake off all the pain! Within my dreams I'll touch the sky! But I still realize I won't survive the fight without you by my side!

The screen flashes white before it shows Nero in his combat outfit cutting down Grimm before he's shown fighting a giant Grimm and then he uses lighting dust to make an X shaped cut on it before Team RWBY charges in and unleashing a flurry of attacks and as they land, the members of Team JNPR are shown and as Nero and RWBY land a close up of their faces are shown.

You give me light when I have lost my way. I'll fall asleep cause I'll always find you in my dreams! I'll always be right next to you I'll give you everything I have!

Roman Torchwick is then seen with two female shadowed figures as the screen then shows Nero and RWBY opening their eyes and sheathing their respective weapons as the giant Grimm disintegrates. A shot is then seen of Nero, Teams RWBY and JNPR all eating together as Nero laughs and the final shot is seen of Nero and RWBY's weapons all planted in the ground in a star formation as the title card "RWBY: The Wings of Freedom" is shown before the screen goes black.

So Nero has finally arrived in Remnant and it looks like 4 girls we know and love already have the hots for the boy. In order to see this dream through however, our boy has a daunting task ahead of him. He must complete the initiation AND come back alive. With a forest chock full of Grimm around every nook and cranny, does Nero have the resolve to complete this mission and join up with the rest of the warriors in Beacon? Find out next time!
