Chapter 1

(A/N: Hey guys! Before and after I finished watching the movie called, Into The Storm, I got an idea to write a RWBY crossover fanfic based off of it. I decided to write this because I thought it would be interesting to write about and how the RWBY cast would react to tornado natural disasters, because I theorized that tornadoes don't exist on Remnant because we never saw any on the actual show, except for minor examples from wind Dust as said in the story description, and another reason is that I realized that there was never a RWBY tornado survival fanfic ever written. Anyway, with that out of the way... Enjoy this "intense whirlwind" of a story! Heh heh heh, see what I did there? ... I will see myself out...)

Blanchard, McClain County, Oklahoma
United States of America
July 20, 2013, 3:50 PM
(Play OST at the very top of the chapter)

Dark, ominous-looking grey clouds loom overhead in the sky above the town of Blanchard, with the wind whipping through the grass and trees, blowing leaves and twigs across the ground and air, and also blowing against windowpanes, causing them to rattle, and lightning flashes above from the clouds. Down below the storm clouds, various cars pass by each other on the roadways of the town, with people rushing here and there along the sidewalks and streets trying to get where they're going or to find cover from the weather.

A few miles south of town; two vehicles, one is a heavily modified armored Dodge Ram truck that is armed with 24 cameras and 4 anchor spikes having 2 on both sides, and a 2003 Dodge Sprinter van with radar equipment attached to its roof, are seen racing down Oklahoma Hwy 76 currently heading north towards town, chasing after the storm, that is now having a wall cloud, which is above them and Blanchard itself.

Armored customized Dodge Ram truck, "Titus"

Modified 2003 Dodge Sprinter meteorology radar van

In the Titus, there are three individuals, one of them appearing to be forty years old, and the other two seeming to look to be in their twenties. The older of the three was wearing a beige button up long-sleeve shirt, grey cargo pants, a dark blue shirt, and a grey cap. The second guy had a brown jacket, white t-shirt, and blue jeans. The third guy was wearing a grey shirt, and light blue jeans, with a black leather jacket sitting beside him.

Pete Moore

Jacob Hodges

Lucas Guerrette

The two people in the 2003 Dodge Sprinter was a woman appearing to be in her twenties and an African American man also appearing to be in his twenties. The woman was wearing a black t-shirt with off-white specks dotting all over it, dark grey cargo pants, and a blue jacket which she wasn't wearing at the moment. The man was wearing a light blue t-shirt with black edges, and navy-blue jeans.

Allison Stone

Daryl
(I don't know his last name, sorry XD)

These people make up a storm chaser group that they call themselves, Titus Team. Pete Moore was a veteran storm chaser, who constructed Titus, from a Dodge Ram pickup chassis in 2008, and he had been chasing since 1990, while Jacob Hodges and Lucas Guerrette had been with him for a shorter time. Lucas serves as the cameraman to film for the storm chaser, and Jacob being a photographer and helps with documentary filming. Allison Stone was a meteorologist and had been studying since she had got into meteorology at a young age. Alongside her, Daryl, being her assistant and driver, and as well as her cameraman.

The five together, form a seemingly rag-tag group of ordinary everyday storm chasers at a glance, but they mean business. Equipped with professional equipment; small versions of doppler radar, NSW radar, wind measurement and detection equipment systems, and radar for detecting rain, and multiple cameras of various types. They were PACKED!

In the Sprinter, Allison is looking at the various mobile radar screens, keeping track of the wind and circulation speeds, heaviness of the cloud, and other weather detection systems, while Daryl drove the van, with the ominous storm looming ahead of both vehicles as they head towards it.

(A/N: Ignore Gary Fuller on the right and pretend he isn't there XD)

"Daryl, the clouds and weather on the radar is taking a turn, and we are getting some circulation in the supercell!" Allison called out to him.

Daryl, having been focusing on the road, and focusing trying on not letting the wheels slip on the damp highway, which it had been raining lower than half an hour ago. "Right! We'd better notify Pete!"

Without saying anything, Allison opened up the frequency on her walkie-talkie to contact Pete, who is driving Titus. "Hey Pete! We're getting strong wind, circulation, and extremity readings on the radar from the cell!" She exclaimed through the device's microphone.

Over the small hand-held radio, there was a short momentary pause. Then the veteran storm chaser responded. ["Yeah, and I can see it! Let's get after it and capture it and see if this thing forms a tornado. The last two storms were a bust."] He said, his voice turning annoyed and disappointed when he finished his sentence.

"You got it, let's just not get too close though!"

In the Titus, Pete was watching the storm closely as the supercell was rotating. Allison's informative words concerning him a bit. "What is happening on the radars, Allison? Do we have something about to form up there?!"

["Precisely! We've got one vortex in the cell that is rapidly intensifying, reaching wind speeds up to 155 to 162 miles per hour!"] Allison exclaimed back to him after she intensely looked at the radar screens.

"Understood, and this is likely or absolutely going to be an EF3 tornado!"

The storm chasing team were now only one mile away from reaching Blanchard, when finally, they saw it, which it had now formed and touched down in a field that is surrounded by trees, west of the highway, and there were a few sparse houses nearby, signifying that they were near the outskirts of town. The tornado warning sirens also began to blare.

"We got touch down!" Jacob yelled out.

"I see it, Allison, and let's get after it!" He called, looking at it periodically for a short time every now and then as he drove.

Lucas whipped his head away from looking at the storm and spoke. "Well about the bust, I busted my neck when I got up this morning." He sarcastically joked.

"Now is not the time to joke around, Lucas. Now is the time to be serious." Pete told him sternly.

The young adult man only shrugged as he then looked seriously out the window at the storm and now-formed tornado, clutching one of the hand-held cameras.

The team drove a little bit a ways on the highway, before turning off and stopped on the side of the road a safe enough distance away from the whirlwind. Once they stopped their vehicles, Pete activated the anchors. Once they were positioned, the anchors pierced the ground.

Over the roar of the blowing wind, they rushed out while grabbing gear that they need. The only one staying in the Titus, was Jacob, having got in the rotatable dome that is on the roof of the truck. He turned it into position towards the EF3 and started rolling the large video camera that was attached inside of it, and began collecting data through it. Allison stayed in the Sprinter to monitor the radars and measure the wind speeds, which now capped to 163 miles per hour.

By then, it was beginning to hail and the wind was blowing hard, making the grass flow like a rough sea.

"Hurry guys, out! On the double!" Pete commanded as they ran into the grass and stopped, and looked back. "Lucas, Daryl, start rolling!"

"You got it boss!" Lucas exclaimed over the wind as he started up his video camera, pointing it up at the tornado which is now moving towards the northeast. "Wooo hoo! It's moving fast, look at it go!" He hollered over the wind.

Daryl had also began rolling his camera at the tornado, as he bit down against his nerves to keep himself form getting into an inward panic. "That thing looks to be headed towards the outskirts of Blanchard." He said in a degree of concern.

"Just keep rolling you two and be careful. But I agree, let's hope it doesn't head into town." Pete called out, having heard Daryl as they watched and filmed the tornado.

"Yeah, and besides, this has got to be the biggest tornado we've seen in a while!" Lucas exclaimed, smiling.

"Yeah!" Pete responded. Though, he didn't show it on his face, but he was ecstatic to see a tornado and a worthy storm for shooting and for some juicy research after quite a while.

However, they didn't seem to notice that the clouds were beginning to turn into a rather odd deep purple color. Jacob, from inside Titus, was about the only one who noticed the change. "That's odd... clouds don't turn that kind of purple color..." He confusedly said to himself. "And the sun's not setting either..."

From inside the Dodge Sprinter, Allison was looking at the radar screens and other equipment, collecting data for whatever research the team needed. She heard the commotion from outside and stopped to look outside at what's going on outside. She stared in awe at the large EF3, as it quickly moved across the ground and saw it tearing up trees and fencing. And to her shock, it ran over an old farm house, tearing it apart, severely damaging it, and leaving parts of it behind.

'Oh my gosh, I hope no one was still in there, but managed to get inside some kind of storm shelter!' She thought to herself. But luckily, there were no cars in the driveway, to her relief and the team's that there was no car on the drive way and that no one seemed to be home to experience a would-have-been horrific occurrence.

"Oh my gosh!" Daryl exclaimed in horror.

"Yeah, no one seemed to be home. Thank goodness...!" Pete said relieved, but focused on the action at hand.

They observed the tornado as it then leaves the house behind in nothing but total ruin, taking debris and some furniture with it.

National Weather Center
Norman, Cleveland County, Oklahoma
4:15 PM

In the National Weather Center in Norman, Oklahoma, meteorologists and scientists walk around throughout the various hallways, going from one room to another, doing their work that needs to be done. The sounds of phones ringing, doors opening and closing, and co-workers talking amongst each other are heard throughout the complex. In one of the radar and research rooms, some people are looking over the situation going on over above the town of Blanchard in McClain County.

A young woman named Patricia "Patty" Lawrence who is a meteorologist and weather reporter in her twenties with blonde hair, a red button-up shirt, a black blazer, and grey pants, along with grey short heeled dress shoes, was approaching a young man that was a couple years older than her, who is looking over a couple computer screens showing a doppler radar and a NWS radar, one on either monitor screen. He had black hair, a brown button-up khaki shirt, a grey blazer, dark blue jeans, and brown shoes, and his name was Richard Mendoza.

"Hey, Richard?" She asked, rushing over to him, with nervousness apparent in her voice. She swallows a lump in her throat, knowing that she had a job to do, concerning the situation above Blanchard.

Richard turned around from his studious work, before looking back at it. "Hey Patty. And yeah?"

"What's going on with the situation over Blanchard in McClain County?" She asked with a level of concern.

"Well, there's a lot of circulation going on in the supercell over the town, which a tornado has touched down. But thankfully the warning systems are going and heard that everyone is taking shelter immediately."

"Oh, that's good to know..." Patty said softly in relief.

"Yeah, and it is heading towards the northeast, luckily narrowly missing the outskirts of the town."

"Thank the heavens!" Patty said in relief with a small smile for a moment, then asked. "So it might miss the town, unless otherwise?" feeling somewhat relieved but aware that the threat of the tornado to change course certainly still remains a big threat. Because knowing that tornadoes are typically unpredictable, which no one knows whether they will go left, right, or head straight for you.

"Very well could, but who knows what it will even do. And besides, we've also got a professional team of storm chasers on the ground, filming and gathering data at this moment." Richard responded.

"Who?" She asked, having not knowing the name of the team, until she remembered. "Oh you mean Titus Team!"

"Yes, them. They are taking care of all the serious risky ground work right now."

"Mhm." Patty nods in agreement. "Let's hope they stay safe."

"Agreed." Richard responded, turning back to his work on the screens that are in front of him.

Just then, a Caucasian man with a gray suit and green tie walked through the doorway and stopped a few feet from it.

"Patricia, your break is up! It's time to start rolling!" He said.

Patty turns around to him. "Oh alright Dave, I'll be right there."

"Oh, you gotta go?" Richard asked, as he watched Patty walk briskly away towards the studio to begin reporting.

"Yeah, see you later." She says, walking away

"Okay, bye, and you too Patty! Go knock it out!" He responded.

The only reply he got was a smile over her shoulder as she walked out. In the hallway, Patricia is walking down it with the man that told her to go. The man's name was David Jenkins, who is the director of the studio. Dave is a certain person who thinks highly about himself, but even then, he wishes people well. The two of them walked together in relative silence, until Patty decided to strike up a brief conversation and spoke to him, even though she doesn't try often knowing how self-entitled he makes himself.

"So, you heard about the storm chaser team in Blanchard?" She asked.

"You mean the ones on the ground? What was their name?..." Dave asked and paused, having trouble remembering who they were.

"Titus Team is what Richard told me." She replied

"Ah yeah, that bunch of rag-tags and that guy who customized a truck?" He said arrogantly with a half smile.

Patty rolls her eyes and clicks her tongue in annoyance. "David, they're hardly a bunch of "rag-tags," they are a group of professionals."

David chuckles. "Whatever you say Patricia."

Soon, they arrived at the studio. Various people in the room are readying the equipment and the cameraman is already at the camera. Patty walks over in front of the large screen and takes position. One of the helpers in the room asks if she is ready, she responds with a 'yes.' Shortly thereafter, everything was set.

"3.. 2.. 1! Alright, take it away Patricia!" Said director David, and the cameraman began rolling.

Patty smiled at the camera and began to do her job, with TVs and radios on everywhere, people watching and listening in. "Good afternoon everyone and welcome back. As you can see the tornado has touched down just south of Blanchard and is making a pathway towards the northeast. We now currently have a storm chasing team on the ground..."

And the broadcast continued abroad.

Meanwhile, back with Richard in the research room... he was still looking at the screen doing his work as meteorologist and scientist. As he looks over the radars, taking readings, and doing research like everyone else, he began to notice something strange going on with the wall cloud over Blanchard and other areas in Oklahoma and throughout the US.

(Play OST)

[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]

"What... in the world..?" He said quietly in disbelief, as he looked at all the clouds on the doppler radar.

They were beginning to behave a little erratically, but in an abnormal way, a way he didn't think anyone has seen before. He also heard others in the room silently voicing their confusions as well.

"Hey guys, are you seeing this on the radars!?" He called out to anyone in the room.

Three people, who had left their posts, came up behind him to take a look at what is going on his radar screens and his findings.

"What's up Richard!?" One of them said, who is a man by the name of Jay. He had tanned skin, black hair, was wearing a dark gray blazer, a black button up shirt, and gray and black shoes.

Richard turns to them with a concerned and confused look on his face. "Are guys seeing this? Look at these readings, they're acting a little erratic!"

"Yeah, I see it too, that is not something we see coming from a storm like that." Says one man in disbelief, who has brown hair, is wearing blue jeans, a baby blue button-up shirt, and black shoes, whose name was Matthew.

"I agree with you Jay, this is not normal." Says a woman, with equal concern as the other three people, to Jay. She has red hair, wearing a white long sleeved shirt, navy-blue jeans, and brown wolverine shoes. Her name was Jessica.

"Look at how the numbers are fluctuating a bit. Something is going on up in these clouds and other wall and supercell clouds all over the state and the country." Richard said, concerningly pointing at the data readings and the clouds on the radar screens. "The wind speeds are changing erratically it's both increasing AND decreasing!"

"My gosh! That's unbelievable!" Jessica said, with an astounded look and voice.

"Yeah, and we've also got multiple storm chasers on the ground chasing these storms capturing stuff and dealing with the more dangerous work, including one renowned chaser team. Titus Team." Matthew commented, a bit worried for the chaser teams.

"They sure are very brave! But let's not forget those amateurs..." Jessica said in a degree of dismay. Remembering that a lot of amateur chasers, who don't have very much experience as the more professional chasers, can often get in the way of the more experienced, and can get into more danger when they get reckless or careless.

Amateurs like Donk and Reevis are examples, who live in Silverton, Oklahoma, whom she knew those two idiots before she moved from there two months ago, having met them on several occasions. 'Idiots...' She thought. (A/N: In case those of you who don't know, Silverton is a fictional Oklahoma town that was in the movie. And those two are crazy, lol.)

"Oh yeah, amateurs... But right now, we need to focus and continue analyzing and watching all these storms right now, and then take this data to the higher ups!" Richard said.

"Right!" Matt agreed.

The others nodded and went back to their posts.

Blanchard, Oklahoma
4:27 PM

Back in the outskirts of the town, Titus Team was still watching the tornado and recording data from it. The big vortex made its pathway towards the northeast, having crossed the highway, taking debris from the house it just torn apart. They took cover further as the tornado passed by, shielding their eyes from the strong wind.

Over the sound of sirens, wind and falling hail, Pete then shouted loudly. "Alright guys! Get back in and lets chase after it!" Before running back into the Titus' driver's seat.

Daryl shouted. "Alright, let's go!"

And Lucas quickly responded as so, he and Daryl taking their gear back into the vehicles with them. When Daryl opened the door and hopped into the seat of the Sprinter, he turned and called out to Allison to make her aware of the situation. "Hey Allison, we're going after it!"

"Got it!" She called out, securing herself in her seat.

Once everything was secure the team set off after the tornado and its path of destruction, not knowing what's going on with the wall cloud, as the cloud and tornado began to behave a little erratically, but so was the wind around them.

In the Titus, Jacob was still in the rotatable dome of the armored truck watching the clouds and keeping the camera on the tornado as they turned right onto East Cole Road.

"Uh, hey guys...? Don't the clouds seem purple to you? They're supposed to be a bit of a greenish color." Jacob asked nervously with uncertainty in his voice as well. He also knew that before and or during a tornado formation, the clouds in the sky appear green in color in some parts.

Lucas tore his eyes away from the tornado and looked up at the clouds as well. "Yeah... you're right! They do look a bit of a deep purple color. That is odd!"

Just then, an odd-looking deep blood red lightning bolt flashed a distance away.

(What it looked like)

"Whoa!" Shouted Lucas. "Red lightning bolts!? Those are rare!" He then turned to where Jacob is sitting in the seat of the truck's dome.

"Yeah I did! But, it doesn't look like any red lightning I've seen before!" Jacob said.

"Pete! Did you see that lightning!?"

Pete didn't say anything for a moment as he kept his eyes on the road in front of him, and kept an eye at the tornado and on the Titus' wind measurement systems. "I don't care, Lucas and Jacob! Keep taking data on that EF3!" Pete stubbornly said to to them.

"But-!" Lucas started but was cut off by Pete's stubborn voice.

"Just keep recording!"

Lucas quickly nods, knowing how stubborn the veteran storm chaser can be. He goes back to recording the tornado as he watches it destroy a barn and a small shed that was next to it, reducing them to only a few broken walls, and another deep blood red lightning bolt flashes.

"Oh my gosh!" Jacob shouts.

"Hold on y'all!" Pete yelled out at them.

A small piece of wooden debris suddenly flew towards the truck and hit the bullet-proof windshield, startling Lucas.

"Ahh!"

Back in the Sprinter, Daryl was driving as he, with shock, watched the tornado destroy the utterly rip over the barn and shed, and the red lightning bolt flashing. "Whoa, whoa!!"

In the back of the van,  Allison was watching the mobile radars. On them, she saw that the clouds and the weather were acting very strange. "Hey, Daryl?!"

"Wha- what's up!?" He answered back, still shook from the tornado striking both buildings.

"There's something very off going on with the supercell!"

"What's going on with it?! And explain quickly because I don't want to be here if that tornado starts turning around toward us! And I am seeing some strange looking deep blood red lightning!" Daryl answered, feeling terrified.

"Blood red lightning!?" She said with disbelief. "And the wind feedback and measurements are going a little sporadic, and I am seeing that the cloud's hook shape is changing shape more often than normal."

"That's worrying!"

"I'm going to alert Pete." She said as she taps into her mic of the mobile radio. "Hey Peter?!"

Over the radio, she heard Pete's voice. ["What is it Allison!?"]

"I am getting some strange readings on the radar from the supercell, and I am also seeing that the cloud has turned a deep purple with deep blood red lightning coming out of it! And the wind speed measurements are erratic, increasing and decreasing at different rates!" She exclaimed in shock and confusion, describing what was going on as she looks at the sky as another lightning bolt flashed before them.

In the Titus, Pete noticed it too when he took a look at the wind measurements again, he responded. "My gosh! Yeah, I've noticed that too! The wind does seem to be changing a little erratically, and- whoa, crap!"

He was interrupted as he swerved the armored truck around a rather large tree branch that just fell on the ground that was ejected and thrown by the tornado. Daryl steered the Sprinter around it too.

["And and the clouds have turned an abnormal deep purple color as well!"] Allison said through the speakers of Pete's headphones.

"Huh!?" Pete said, then saw the weird-colored clouds. "I've never seen clouds so-!" He stops talking, noticing the tornado slowing and beginning to shift, but it was also starting to behave a little erratically. "-wait! The tornado is turning around!"

The tornado was indeed shifting direction, but was now headed towards the northwest. Pete suddenly slams on the truck's brakes, and stops. Behind him, the Sprinter also screeched on the wet road to a halt.

Inside the Sprinter, Allison's eyes grew wide as she looked at the radars. "Oh my gosh... Pete! The tornado is headed towards the town! People are now in danger, and they won't know that it's coming!"

Back to the armored truck, by then, Pete had already turned it around. "In that case... Let's get after it then!" He replied from the radio, and he slammed on the gas pedal.

"People gotta get outta there and take cover if there's some still out!" Jacob shouted, keeping the camera on the tornado, and captures another lightning bolt.

The Sprinter turns around and follows after the Titus, and headed towards Blanchard by turning north back onto Oklahoma Highway 76. But unbeknownst to them and other people of the strange things that is happening with the weather and the cloud, the tornado was beginning to act strange and made an erratic path towards the town, as anomalous deep blood red lightning flashed from the strange deep purple wall cloud.

National Weather Center
Norman, Oklahoma
4:35 PM

Things were now going wack over in the offices at the weather center as people looked at their screens and radars with worried and confused faces. Richard was frantically scrambling to make sense of what is going on over Blanchard.

"My gosh! Things are going crazy over there! The supercell is fluctuating like I have not seen ever before!" He exclaimed. He then turns to Jessica who is at her computer, equally frantic.

"I don't know what's going on either! The readings are going out of control! And all this is happening not just around the US, but around the world!" She yelled back in mild panic.

"I heard hurricanes are acting strange too!" Jay called back.

"Guys! Look at this!" Matthew yelled out from his computer, which he was now taking a look at a YouTube livestream on his mobile phone, showing anomalous deep blood red lightning flash all around and EF1 and EF2 tornadoes moving and behaving sporadically, with a deep purple wall cloud above, with the same conditions happening.

Everyone came to look.

"My gosh..." Richard said quietly in absolutely disbelief as he watched chaos ensue as cars drive around quickly trying to get away. One car that was parked was struck by the red lightning and it disappeared in a flash of light and sparks.

"I'm getting Patty and then get the higher ups!" He said, and ran out of the room.

Back in the studio, Patty was still doing her job, when a researcher ran into the room and talked with director Jenkins. His eyes widen when he heard the news from the other researchers and what is going on with tornadic weather. He turns towards Patty.

"Patricia stop the report, we're doing a quick commercial break, we've got a situation!" He said, the cameraman without hesitation, stopped the camera.

"What is it?" She asked.

He walks over and gives her several pieces of paper that the researcher has given him. "Look over these right now and get ready to report on it, pronto."

"Eh, wha-?!" She stops talking as she looks at the papers and her breathing almost stopped. "What in the world?! Give me a second, I want to go see what is going on!"

"Hurry, you have 5 minutes!" Dave warned her.

Patty nods and runs out the studio and down the hall, passing various employees, staff, and researchers, until she almost runs into Richard.

"Whoa! Richard?! What is it?!"

"No time to explain, I want to show you something!" He quickly responded.

"I was coming to see what was happening too!"

"Okay, then! Come on!" Richard said and rushed back where he came from, with her in tow.

The two came back into the research room Richard works in and he showed her what is on the radar, the others joining them.

"My gosh, what's going on?!" Patty asked.

"We don't know." Matthew started. "But have a look at this livestream that I am watching." He showed her the livestream and what's happening on it.

She looks at it, and sits down on a chair with a shocked look on her face.

"What's going on with this storm?! Deep blood red lightning? Tornadoes acting bizarre?!
And deep purple wall cloud?" She asked confusedly with deep concern.

"We don't know what's happening, but this isn't just happening here, it's all around the nation and world! Tornadic weather is acting strange, and hurricanes are included too!" Jessica said.

Patty didn't respond, neither did the rest of the group besides the commotion in the room and in the hallway. All they did was stare at the phone screen and radar screens in silence.

As Titus Team was now in the inner outskirts of Blanchard and are about to enter the town, they noticed that the situation with the supercell and tornado had begun to behave erratically. Blood red lightning flashed all around them every ten seconds or less, and the wind and acorn-sized hail blew and hit against the two vehicles.

In the Sprinter, activity on Allison's radar was fluctuating exponentially on the screens. She picks up her portable radio and spoke into the mic. "Guys, what I am seeing on the radar is something happening that I have never ever witnessed before! The tornado is also acting more erratically now!"

From the other end of the radio in the Titus, she didn't hear anything from Pete for a few seconds. "Why is it fluctuating?!" He finally asked, looking at the tornado.

["The supercell is morphing its shape, meaning it is shrinking and expanding at a rate I cannot explain!"] She says from his headphones.

"I can see that and I honestly have not seen anything like this before in my entire storm chasing career!" He admits.

Just then, the erratic EF3 tornado destroys a large wall-less shed, sending metal sheets and beams into the air around it, and then made a chaotic path into Blanchard and into one of the neighborhoods of houses of the town.

"Oh no! Nooo!!" Lucas shouts in horror as he watches the tornado starts tearing houses apart, knowing that there's people inside.

"Crap!" Pete shouts as he swerved the truck to miss a large flying piece of debris.

Soon, the team enters downtown, ahead of the tornado.

(Imagine the freak storm being there.)

Pete slams on the brakes, putting Titus to a screeching and sliding stop, the Sprinter coming in front of them and comes to halt as well. "Alright guys, let's film this thing!" He shouted over the howling wind and falling hail, as cars drove by trying to get away from the coming tornado, and another blood red lightning bolt struck from the cloud.

And after the 2003 van came to a halt, Allison releases her hold from the chair in front of the radar screens, and looks back closely at the wind speed measurements. "The wind speed of the tornado is now clocking currently at 226 miles per hour but changing between 200+ to OVER 300 miles per hour in its erratic state!! And it's also changing from weaker to stronger , but at this speed, it is still able to deal significant amounts of damage!"

["Oh my gosh...! ARE YOU SERIOUS!?!"] Pete asked loudly in alarm over the radio

"Yes! It must be the wall cloud acting bizarrely, making it act erratically!" Allison responds, getting out of the van from the back, closes it, and joins the others that are now outside.

"Okay! Let's get these events recorded into the data, we're making history right here! We may just be covering the first ever recorded EF6 in history!!" Pete shouted.

"That's realistically unheard of!  We're probably also going to make a fortune off of this, and this has got to be one of the most intense experiences I've had!" Lucas shouted, looking up at the erratically changing clouds.

Another two blood red lightning bolts shot from the sky and hits the ground, breaking the asphalt on the road, leaving a hole where the asphalt used to be, but the second bolt hit a red 2005 Ford F-150 Crew Cab.

"Whoa!" Jacob shouted, jumping away and ran several feet from where the lightning struck. "Hey, I don't think we should be exposed like this! That car just disappeared! That lightning is definitely NOT at all ordinary!"

"I agree with Jacob!" Daryl said, as he captures the moment through his camera, before he ran back to the Sprinter.

Soon, they heard the approaching howl of the tornado getting closer, and it now appeared in front of them, severely damaging a building and sucking up cars in its path of destruction that was unheard of from tornadoes, tearing buildings apart as it moves chaotically across the Earth. Blanchard citizens were screaming and driving and running towards the nearest indoors or nearby storm shelters, anything to find safety. The tornado was now acting and moving more erratically, and anomalous blood red lightning was striking all around them even more often. Lucas and the others began moving back toward their resort vehicles while they continued recording.

Suddenly, without warning, the tornado suddenly changed direction and was now coming right for Titus Team.

"INTO THE TITUS! NOW!!" Pete frantically shouted, seeing the threat. Meanwhile in the cloud-covered sky above, the supercell was now going crazy in extreme sporadic movements in shape, and the clouds acted nearly like water in rough seas.

Pete and the others ran back into their vehicles, shut the doors, and locked them tightly. Pete immediately activated the anchors and they moved into position and pierced into the ground. The anchors are capable of keeping the truck anchored in up to 170 mph winds.

The tornado was then coming upon them in seconds. Unfortunately, it was too late for the Sprinter, and it began to get sucked up by the tornado, Daryl tried to reverse away quickly, the tires screeching on the asphalt, but it was too late. It lifted off the ground a little, getting sucked in towards the tornado. Allison, who had lagged behind Daryl to get into the van, saw what was happening and turned around and tried to run away, but she too lifted off the ground by the tornado's wind.

"PEETE!!" She screams, reaching her arms out in vain attempt to stay on the ground.

Pete turned his head around and saw what was transpiring. "NOOO!" He shouted in shock and horror.

Just then, lightning careens from the sky, and hit Allison and the van, making her and it instantly disappear in a flash of light and sparks. Then another lightning bolt came down and struck the Titus, disappearing the same way, taking everyone inside with it.

The lighting intensified all around the town faster and faster, with the erratic and ever-changing EF3-turned EF6 tornado going crazy, the supercell spinning and moving faster, until there was a large flash of light that enveloped the sky and the surrounding area. The wind sucked from the light like a vacuum, with the chaotic and loud crack of lightning, the supercell disappeared instantaneously, along with the tornado itself. The wind suddenly died down to a small whisper, and everything became eerily calm.

All that was left of the supercell- or where it used to be -was a large hole in the cumulonimbus cloud with blue sky and sunlight. Everyone came out of hiding, looking around dazed and very confused of what just happened with part of the downtown area utterly destroyed to its foundations, with the cries and moans of the wounded echoing throughout.

National Weather Center
Norman, Oklahoma
4:54 PM

All was quiet between Richard, Jessica, Matthew, Patty, and Jay, as they stared at Richard's radar screens in stunned silence.

"It... just..." Patty began, but was too shocked to continue.

"Vanished... all at once... All tornadic weather...hurricanes too.."  Richard finished, moving the Doppler radar map around, seeing that all of the familiar hook-shapes in storms in tornado alley and around the world, were gone.

Everyone just continued staring in disbelief on what just happened.

All over the world, this event would become talk of the century, as multiple mainstream media and media organizations talked about it all over the news. BBC, MSNBC, FOX, CNN, Sky News Australia, TFIGlobal, WION, and more. Nobody knew what transpired on July 20, 2013, not even the governments of Earth, also stumping scientists completely. But this event will go down in the history books.

Remnant
Kingdom of Vale, Sanus Continent
Beacon Academy
2:25 PM

The sun shines in the through a partly cloudy blue sky over a certain prestigious academy, as a certain headmaster looks out the large windows of Beacon tower in his office, huge gears ticking away like a clock. The man was lean in build, holding a staff with small gears inside it, its true use and functionality being unknown. He had brown eyes, gray hair, and pale skin, and was also wearing a green scarf with cross shaped like plus sign, dark green button-up shirt, a black coat, black dress pants, black shoes. The man's name is Professor Ozpin.

Standing on his right, was a blonde-haired woman with pale skin, and bright green eyes. In her right hand was a thin black riding crop, serving as her weapon. She was also wearing a white long sleeve shirt that puffed at the ends of the sleeves with folded part near the neck and also had a hole exposing the top part of her chest near her neck, she is also wearing a black and purple cape that is torn at the end, a black thigh-cut business skirt with four buttons, black shin-high boots, and very high black stockings. The woman's name is Professor Glynda Goodwitch, also happened to be Ozpin's assistant and also one of the school's combat professors.

Professor Ozpin

Professor Glynda Goodwitch

Ozpin stares out the window, observing the school courtyard as he watches students milling around, walking to their next class, chilling, or talking to and hanging with friends.

Something catches his eye from the corner of it. He looks out in the direction of the Emerald Forest, a forest in which Grimm roam and what is used for initiation of first year students. Above the forest's tree line, he noticed a twinkle of red light. He hums in question of it.

'What's that?' He thought to himself.

He walks closer to the window and squints his eyes at it, Glynda notices his actions and speaks. "Ozpin? What is it?"

He didn't answer right away for a brief moment as he looked out toward the distance at the forest. Then, he spoke. "There's some strange red light above the Emerald Forest."

"Huh?" She said questioningly, her curiosity coming up and she walked a little over to him, and saw it, and her face morphed into confusion too. "What is that?"

He looked at her with an uncertain look. "I am not sure Glynda." He says before turning back to look at it.

Ozpin studied it for another moment, then, the light began to do something. It began to expand bigger, and bigger, and then it expanded rapidly. Ozpin's eyes stopped squinting and he frowned and walked a little back away from the window cautiously. Suddenly, without warning, the red light shrunk rapidly and then expanded with a blink of an eye in a blinding flash of light, and exploded with a crackle of deep blood red lightning and electricity, and... purple clouds? Which dispersed quickly.

The two professors shield their eyes.

"What in the-!?" Glynda shouted but didn't finish before a very strong wind hurtled right into the windows, shattering them completely, and blowing both of them twelve feet backwards. They both yelled in shock and surprise as they are blown.

Things died down rather quickly, and the blood red lightning and deep purple condensation clouds disappeared. Ozpin and Glynda got up, groaning and dusting themselves off.

"Glynda, are you alright?!" He called out.

She groans as she got up, and replied sounding annoyed and concerned at the same time. "I am fine. Are you!?"

"Yes." Ozpin replied. Before he could speak again, he heard a commotion going on outside.

"What on Remnant was that!? Professor Goodwitch exclaimed.

"I am not sure." The headmaster replied.

The two were now on their feet and they walked over still a little shocked at what had happened. When they got to the now-shattered tower windows, and looked down at the events that are happening down below them. They were hearing screams and shouts of surprise and shock, as students of both faunas and humans ran and walked around in confusion, some were sitting on the ground, while some had been standing around appearing dazed. And shattered windows were also seen on the institution's other buildings, with glass littered all over the school grounds.

Their eyes grew wide.

"My gosh..." Glynda says, putting her hand over her mouth in shock.

Ozpin was also just as concerned, something like this never happened before, especially not from a very strong burst of sudden wind. "We need to calm down everyone before Grimm show up." He said, feeling concerned for the students' well-being and more concerned about a possible Grimm threat."

"Agreed. Want me to dispatch a team?" Glynda replied.

"Yes. Dispatch Teams RWBY and JNPR to investigate the situation that transpired at the Emerald Forest, and then we take care of the current situation." Ozpin says in authority despite the still-evident shock in his voice.

"Okay, as you say professor!" She agreed.

Ozpin looks out the window again and wondered in his mind. 'What just happened...??'
