A/N: here's chapter 29 for ya guys

Vytal Festival Arena 

After Y/N let out his primal roar he charged full speed at Nebula and swung his pitch black metal katana diagonally only for Nebula to dodge out of the way just in time and equip her weapon a crossbow/sword combination. Nebula's crossbow was steel silver in colour and as she switched her weapon into its sword mode, the blade seemed to slide out of the bolt channel then the limbs of the crossbow retract into bolt channel to form the thicker part of the blade and the handle of the crossbow forms the hilt of the blade.

"Nice weapon, may it serve you well". Y/N said as he crouched down getting into his fighting stance."Let's do this". Nebula replied with a sense of respect in her voice as she and Y/N charged at one another as the sound of metal clashing against metal rang throughout the arena. 

With Tiki and Dew

Tiki leapt backwards as Dew stood in the desert portion of the arena with her spear pointed towards the sand and began to spin her spear to create a small tornado of sand to send Tiki's way. Dew's spear is golden in colour with dark blue grip in the centre of the handle. The spear head is shaped like a typical ship anchor though it is shaped a bit more angular that a typical ship anchor with a piece of olive green fabric tied into the hole of the anchor. On both sides of the spear tip is a large wind dust crystal she can use to produce tornados by rotating her spear. 

"Using wind dust to create tornados Dew, very clever". Tiki said impressed with Dew's ability to read her surroundings and react accordingly to give her an advantage over her opponent. "Thank you Tiki, though I wonder something". Dew said that last part offhandedly as she launched the sand tornado in Tiki's direction. 

With Kamui and Gwen 

Kamui kept ducking and dodging all the knives that Gwen was throwing at her. Gwen's knives were simple steel silver colour and were designed very similar to typical throwing knives that have groves marked on the blade that seemed to have dust embedded in the blade. 

Kamui kept staring at Gwen with a scowl on her face 'I don't like her, that attitude really pisses me off  ' Kamui thought as Gwen stood there with a smirk on her face, she then reached into one of the satchels and grabbed a couple more knives."Come on Kamui, stop running and fight me". Gwen said as she began to provoke Kamui, Kamui then just raised her sword and said."You wanna fight bitch then lets have one"! 

With Corrin and Octavia 

Corrin rushed towards Octavia and began to swing his sword horizontal and then vertically. Octavia could only dodge Corrin's relentless assault. Once Corrin slowed down slightly Octavia began to parry some of Corrin's blows wit her dagger. Octavia's dagger resembled a Kris, it is a type of dagger that was used in Southeast Asia that has distinctive wavy blade, the hilt has a long, thin trigger that runs parallel to it. Red and orange markings run down the centre of the blade, that indicates that the blade uses fire dust. 

Corrin jumped back before Octavia could slash her dagger towards him."You are good Octavia". Corrin praised as Octavia blushed and turned her head away slightly."Thank you Corrin but I won't lose". Octavia replied as she pointed her dagger towards Corrin. 

With Corrin and Nebula 

Nebula was on the back foot as Y/N was unleashing a relentless barrage of slashes and stabs in quick succession so she couldn't mount a counterattack. Nebula's leg muscles began to tire from all dodging, but as Y/N went to stab at her Nebula managed to parry the blow knocking Y/N slightly off balance. Nebula then saw an opening and rushed towards Y/N and tried attack him but her legs were just too tired and Y/N managed to dodge Nebula's attack and unleash a quick barrage of attacks to drain Nebula's aura and eliminated her from the match."Nebula Violette has been eliminated" Professor Port announced. Y/N was breathing slightly heavily as he walked up towards Nebula and extended his hand and pulled Nebula to her feet."That was a good fight, though your sword play needs some work". Y/N said as he bowed slightly to Nebula, Nebula nodded and replied."Yeah I know but I'm more of a long ranged fighter you know". Y/N smiled as he offered."Myself or Corrin could help you improve your sword skills while the rest of the first round is being played out". Nebula nodded and agreed to take the offer. 

With Tiki and Dew 

Tiki was on the backfoot slightly as she hadn't yet found a way to deal with the superior range of Dew's spear. 'Damn I need to get in close and fast ' Tiki thought as Dew launched yet another sand tornado at her. Tiki dodged the tornado and rushed Dew, who just smiled, but before Dew could stab Tiki with her spear Tiki dodged the initial attack and kept advancing forward with her twin daggers ready and just before Dew could attack again Tiki slashed at Dew causing the blonde haired spear user to step back to avoid the attack but Tiki was unrelenting and kept swinging, slashing and stabbed at Dew, with some of the hits connecting and draining Dew's aura, Tiki then unleashed a pulse of white energy knocking Dew to the ground where Tiki finished the rest of Dew's aura. 

"Dew Gayl has been eliminated" Professor Oobleck announced. Tiki stood still so she could catch her breath after being pushed by Dew. Dew groaned as she stood up and slightly limped towards Tiki and extended her hand and Tiki accepted the hand shake."Your too fast for me Tiki, congratulations". Dew said as Tiki nodded and replied."Thank you Dew you're a fantastic fighter and beating you was a tough challenge"."Would you like to hang out before the start of the second round, my team and your team"? Dew asked as Tiki nodded and replied."I would love to but I think we might have to keep and eye on those two". As Tiki pointed to Kamui and Gwen. 

With Kamui and Gwen 

Gwen stood on a slightly tall rock with a smirk on her face and she was holding four knives, two in each hand, Kamui was panting slightly and had some of her aura drained. Before Kamui could move Gwen threw the four knives at Kamui who managed to dodge both the knives and the small explosions that said knives created."Give it up Kamui you can't beat me". Gwen taunted with a smirk on her face as Kamui seethed and unleashed a primal like roar, the smirk from Gwen almost immediately disappeared, and horns began to grow on Kamui's head with silver coloured scales coated her arms and pitch black scales coating her hands."I'm gonna knock you off of that high horse bitch"! Kamui yelled as she sped towards Gwen and swung her sword diagonally, this forced Gwen to jump off of the rock she was standing on. The rock seemed to explode from the impact of Kamui's sword but she was not done there as Gwen tried to grab some knives but before she could Kamui landed a devastating blow to Gwen's chest and drained her aura in a single blow. 

"Gwen Darcy has been eliminated". Professor Port announced. Kamui's horns and scales disappeared as she leant forward and began to try catch her breath. As Kamui was catching her breath Gwen slowly stood up and began to make her way over to Kamui to apologise."Hey Kamui". Gwen said as she tried to get her attention, Kamui looked up and saw Gwen and she began to scowl slightly."Look I'm sorry for the way I acted while we were fighting I just get super competitive when things like the Vytal Festival happen". Gwen continued as Kamui sighed and replied."Look I'm sorry as well I get just as competitive as you". Gwen smiled but before she could reply Dew and Tiki walked up to them."I see you two have made peace". Tiki said as Kamui and Gwen nodded as Dew added."I guess that's what happens when two highly competitive people fight each other". 

With Corrin and Octavia

 A clash of steel rang throughout the arena as Corrin's and Octavia's weapons collided. Corrin managed to overpower Octavia and push her back and continue pushing Octavia back with wild swings to keep Octavia on the defensive. Octavia tried to parry Corrin's blows but his swings were just too fast and he rapidly drained Octavia's aura. 

"Octavia Ember has been eliminated. Everyone in Team NDGO has been eliminated. Team DRGN wins"! Professor Oobleck yells as the crowd erupts into cheers for the two teams that just competed."Thank you for a good fight Octavia, if you wish I could give you some pointers on how to deal with fast fighters". Corrin offered as he extended his hand to pick Octavia off of the ground, Octavia took Corrin's hand and pulled herself up she nodded and accepted Corrin's offer as she said."Thank you for the offer Corrin and I would love for you to help me". Octavia felt her face heat up slightly and turned away form Corrin so she could hide her blush. 'Damn she's cute almost as cute as Ruby ' Corrin thought as both teams walked towards the exit  of the arena.
