A/n: Just a quick little heads up, since RWBY hadn't been updated in a while, things are about to take a turn in the fan made area.

Ryu was still asleep until he woke up in a black void.

Ryu: What the hell?

Shojo: Oh no. Every time you have ever came into a place like this, it meant something REALLY BIG was gonna happen.

Ryu: Well how long does it usually take for something to happen?

Shojo: I wanna say about, 5 five seconds.

Ryu: That short?

???: Ryu.

Ryu: Wait who the hell is this?

???: Hello? Can you hear me right? Man this ability is so weird.

Ryu: Can you here me?

???: AH! There we go! Sorry this is the first time I used this from long distances.

They voice sounded eerily familiar to Ryu in way confusing the boy.

Ryu: Ok I know for a fact that I don't know you, but you sound way to familiar.

???: Well I guess I would sound a little familiar.

The tone she took had definitely rung a bell in Ryu's head.

Ryu: Hold up a slightly high pitched voice, the way you seemed to be having trouble with whatever the hell you were doing to get inside my head, a REALLY rosy smell.

Shojo: Exactly like Ruby.

???: Well your close but no.

Ryu: Wait a damn minute you could hear her?

???: We're inside you Ryu. I can hear pretty much everything you hear.

Ryu: Ok then you can hear my serious confusion on WHO THE HELL YOU ARE!

???: Awww your no fun.

Ryu: Wait a second the childish personality, you wouldn't happen to be-

A bright light shone in front of Ryu blinding him.

Ryu: AHHH WHY?!!

After the blindness subsided, he saw that the area was brighter a cloudier like they were in the sky. He also noticed a woman bearing a striking resemblance to the rose headed Ruby.

???: My name is... Summer Rose.

Summer "All around Super Mom" Rose!

A/n: Yup. Summer lives.

After the reveal Shojo deadpanned.

Shojo: Yeah if you weren't related to Ruby in anyway I think I would've started to question my entire mentality.

Ryu's Brain fully went into overdrive as questions flooded his mind one by one by the nano second.

Ryu: WHAT?! WHEN?!! WHERE?!!! HOW?!!!! SO MANY QUESTIONS BUT ONLY ONE MOUTH TO ARTICULATE!!!!!

Summer: Okay I probably should've seen this coming. The truth is, I've been watching you for quite some time now.

Ryu: Ok hold up!! Your gonna have to drop one bombshell at a time!!! First off, AREN'T YOU SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD?!!!!

Summer: Well I'm supposed to be, BUUUUUT it turns out Salem messed up.

Ryu: DID YOU NOT HEAR ME SAY ONE BOMBSHELL AT A TIME?!!!

Summer: Oh right, sorry!

Ryu head was visibly smoking as the realization that Ruby's mom wasn't dead and the fact that she knew about Salem pretty much took him down.

Summer: Here, let me help you with that.

Summer held up her hand and blasted water on top of Ryu's head.

Ryu: Oh thanks for..... That's not a Semblance is it.

Summer realized what she had done and face palmed.

Summer: Oops.

Ryu took one giant breath before shouting so loudly that it could be heard around the planet.

Elsewhere!

???: -AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHYHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Aero's head turned as she heard a scream in the distance.

Aero: Ruby do you here that?

Ruby: I feel that.

Elsewhere!

A red haired Fox Faunus was training with a yellow haired girl.

???: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

Karma: Wait what the hell is that?

Erica: Whatever it is it sounds familiar.

Elsewhere!

Ryu had finally gotten all of the screaming out of his system.

Ryu: Ok I think I'm good now.

Summer: Good God the lungs on that boy. Ok I think I'll start with why Salem tried to kill me.

Ryu: Yeah that'd be nice.

Summer: Well for starters, I was the summer Maiden.

Ryu: Ok that take's a load of my mind to know how you used magic. But how exactly did you become the summer Maiden?

Summer: Well, a little incident happened where I met the previous Summer Maiden, I became her best friend, she died, I was the last person she saw and thought of, and yeah, that's pretty much how that went.

Ryu: *Sharp exhale* Why can't Maidens just stay in there spots. Seriously first it was my sister dying, then Cinder becoming the Fall Maiden, me copying her and Ravens powers, I think this shit is going way to far south.

Summer: At this point, the only thing that could make matters worse is if Salem gets Ruby.

Ryu: Oh yeah that reminds me about the Silver eyes thing, what the hell?

Summer: Well it mostly revolves around having thoughts of wanting to protect, but I think my daughter is training in that right now. But enough about our eyes. Have you ever bothered to learn how to use yours?

Ryu: Well that's the thing, Salem told me that there haven't been sightings of colored pupil warriors for years on years.

Summer: I can teach you.

Ryu: ... Come again?

Summer: Oh you didn't think I haven't seen one or two people like you around. Your father's told me plenty of stories on where and how your grandmother learned her tricks.

Ryu: Y-you know my dad?

Summer: Yes. He's actually the one who taught me this trick.

Ryu: What?! Do you know where he is now?!

Summer: Sadly, no. After he found a way to escape, and it was only a one person deal, he was sent to God knows where.

Ryu: Great, now I know that his ass might not even be in this universe.

Summer: Your dad is way to stubborn to let something like a universe change kill him.

Ryu: The funny thing is your right. Well I guess I can add master my eyes on top of find a way to seal Salem on the long long list of things I have to figure out.

Summer: By the way that was pretty smart to think up.

Ryu: Yeah but acting on it is a completely different complication.

Summer: Well, maybe your training might yield some results in that part.

Ryu: Ok, when do-

Before he could finish, Ryu remembered a little fact.

Ryu: Wait, where are you exactly?

Summer: Well, it's hard to explain. Right now I'm sorta in a place kinda like purgatory.

Shojo: In what regard?

Summer: Well, Salem at first meant to send me to a place where life couldn't live, but she messed up and sent me to that place.

Ryu: Huh. So are you just gonna be instructing me?

Summer: Yes and no.

Ryu: Huh?

Summer: While I will instruct you, right now I'm actually tangible for you. So we can go on ahead and spar as much as we need to.

Ryu immediately smirked hearing Summers words.

Ryu: Uhhhh, no offense, you being the Leader of Team STRQ and all, but if you really have been watching me for a while, then you should know that I'm pretty much unbeatable.

Summer: Well, if your talking about raw strength, then you've got me outclassed by a long shot yeah. But I'm talking about you not using your weapons, Semblance, or Maiden powers.

Ryu: Well I guess it's a little handicap but I guess I'll manage.

Summer: You know Ryu, you think only Salem can challenge you now. But I'll show you that people can beat you in other ways.

Ryu: Well I guess we'll have to-

Summer: TRAINING BEGINS NOW!!

Ryu was swiftly kicked in the face sending him crashing into the ground. Not entirely surprised by the attack Ryu got back up.

Ryu: That proved nothing.

Summer: Lesson 1: Getting a handle on that ridiculous confidence. Sadly this is probably gonna be the toughest lesson since you're your fathers son.

Ryu: Oh screw off with that. I might be overconfident but it's never affected me in a fight.

Summer: That's actually wrong. When you fight overconfidence clouds possibilities that can happen in a fight. Like for example. You thought you would be able to heal fast enough to not be affected by that fireball that Keith threw. That attitude is what earned you the darkness you have now.

Ryu sighed in defeat knowing that her words had truth in them.

Ryu: Ok I had that slip in judgment, but-

Summer: And the sneak attack I just hit you with. You underestimating my quickness left you wide open.

He was about to retort but stopped himself and slightly laughed.

Ryu: Alright I guess modesty isn't my strong suit.

Summer: But learning to better break that habit of having your guard down is also key to releasing some of that darkness.

Ryu: Really?

Summer: Yes.

Ryu: Then lets get started. I wanna get back to the others as soon as I... Your Next Line is "Lesson Number 2: Patience" Right?

Summer: Lesson Number 2: Patience. Wait how do you do that?

Ryu: Oh it's just a little talent. But I guess your right.

Summer: Good.

She appeared right in front of Ryu.

Summer: Training resumes.

She was about to throw a punch but Ryu swiftly dodged.

Ryu: Not this time. I may be open for a shot once and a while but not more than once. I make sure to learn from my mistakes.

Summer: Good.

Time Skip!

Ryu was on the ground catching his breath while Summer was barely noticeably tired.

Ryu: How can you keep going?! It feels like we've been at this for hours!

Summer: 12 hours to be exact.

Ryu: We've been fighting for 12 HOURS?!!

Summer: Yep!

Ryu fell flat on his back not moving.

Ryu: How does time pass in this place?!!

Summer: Same as it does in the real world. Only difference, you can fight without having to worry about dying from exhaustion.

Ryu: How the hell does that work?

Summer: You'll see in a few seconds.

Right on cue, a bright green aura washed over the two. Ryu felt his fatigue vanish with his stamina rising.

Ryu: Woah. Your right. This might be the strangest place I've ever been to. And that's saying A LOT!

Summer: How I was lucky enough to be sent here, I do not know, or really care for that matter.

Ryu: Ah. Well, I think I'm at my limit still. Mentally at least.

Summer: I guess we can call it a day.

Summer sat down in front of the overwhelmed Ryu.

Summer: So what exactly is my daughter like to you?

Ryu: Ruby? Oh, where should I start? Well first of, she's pretty much like a little sister to me. She's sweet, a little goofy now and then, really loves seeing new weapons-

Summer: That's my girl!

Ryu: The first time I saw her she seemed pretty shy, not really wanting to throw herself out there, but in the Emerald Forest she was way different. Especially with Crescent Rose.

Summer: That reminds me, what did she do when she saw new weapons.

Ryu started cracking up at her question.

Ryu: Well for one, the first time she saw my Crunch Bite weapon she went 2D and was totally tiny!

Shojo: No she didn't!

Summer looked up and seemed to be remembering something.

Summer: THAT'S YOUR WEAPON QROW?!!!

Qrow: Yeah, what of it?

Summer went completely 2D and was mini. Both Ryu and Shojo started laughing.

Shojo: SO IT RUNS IN THE FAMILY!!

Ryu: PFFT HAHAHAHA!!! NOW I KNOW WHERE SHE GETS IT FROM!!!

Summer: What?!! That was supposed be secret!! How did you even see it?!!!

Summer childishly pushed over Ryu was still laughing.

Ryu: Ohhh that is definitely a story being told.

Summer: Don't you dare!

Ryu: Too late. Already decided.

Summer: Why I outta!!!

Ryu: Anyway besides that crazy love for weapons, she's probably one of the bravest and most kind individuals I'll ever get meet.

Summer smiled hearing those words.

Summer: Well I think you had a good influence in on her too. Well time to get back to training. Next exercise, meditation.

Ryu: Ohhhh... This is gonna be a VERY long grind.

Summer: You'll thank me for it later. Trust me.
