Ryu had filled everyone in on the entire truth. Needless to say, it was slow to sink in.

Aurora: So Salem really can't be killed?

Ryu: Yeah pretty much.

Aero: This entire time I knew she was dangerous, but I never thought she was immortal.

Ruby: Yeah...

Yang: And he doesn't even have a plan probably!!!

Qrow punched the wall in anger in not only learning that he was just following Ozpin blindly like Raven said, but that his purpose in life was unattainable.

Qrow: All my life I was never wanted, but he gave me a purpose. Turns out meeting him was the worse luck of all.

Ryu: For now, you all need to get to Atlas.

Nora: Why Atlas?

Ryu: Cause that's we're the rest of my team, Pyrrha, and James is. They all know about what's going on in the world.

Jaune: Whats the point though?! If Salem can't be killed than how else could we defeat her.

Ryu: I can think of one, but it'll be tough to figure it out.

Shojo: I have a feeling that this is gonna be a dumb yet smart idea.

Ren: You have an idea?

Ryu: Yeah.

Aurora: If you have anything that could help, it's best you share it with us.

Ryu: It's dumb, maybe even impossible.

Aero: Ryu, we all trust you.

Ryu closed his eyes and took a deep breath before reopening them.

Ryu: If we can't kill her, the only other way might be to seal her away for good.

Everyone was taken aback by his idea.

Aurora: Sealing her?

Ryu: Yes. I don't even know how it could be possible, or if anyone in the world has a semblance that could do something like that, but if there isn't anyone, I'll try and make a way myself.

Qrow: Ryu making a way is crazy.

Ryu: Qrow I have magic, I can try and figure out something. Even if I have to give that magic up if we can beat evils incarcerate, than it's a price I'll be willing to take.

Weiss: Leave it you to think of a crazy idea that just might work.

Ryu: All in a days work Ice Queen.

Weiss: I thought it was princess.

Ryu: Well you grew up so it's only fair.

Blake: Okay, but you said WE should go to Atlas, what about you?

Ryu: Well, you guys might not like it, but I need to travel alone.

Qrow: WHAT?!!

Ruby: WHY?!!

Aero: WE JUST GOT YOU BACK!!

Ryu: I want to travel with you guys too, but I can still feel evil going through my body. Salem might still have an eye on me. If I have to choose between going with you all and risking you all being in even more danger, and travel alone, I'd rather deal with whatever issue I have first before coming to you guys.

They all stayed silent before Ruby was the first to go up to Ryu. She looked him in the eyes before hugging him with a grip like a vise.

Ruby: Please be careful.

Ryu: When am I not?

Ruby deadpanned before looking up at him.

Ruby: Do you really want me to answer that?

Ryu smirked and looked at Ruby with a proud expression.

Ryu: You've learned well.

Ruby: I had a great teacher.

She let go of him before Yang came up.

Yang: Thanks for filling us in. Don't go getting yourself hurt.

Ryu: Never change for anyone Yang.

They shared a hug before Weiss came over.

Weiss: If there's anyone who can find a way to beat an immortal, it's you.

Ryu: Looks like you went and warmed up Weiss.

She scoffed and smiled before Blake came up.

Blake: Hey Ryu.

Ryu: Whats up Bell?

Blake gave Ryu a familiar look before a laughed.

Ryu: Sorry it's just to easy.

She placed a hand on his shoulder surprising him.

Blake: Just don't be the reckless guy you were almost a year ago.

Ryu: Well everything is good with the white Fang so I can't really say the same to you.

Blake: Of course you knew.

Ryu: And of course your not surprised.

They both shared a slight laugh before she went back and Jaune came up.

Jaune: I can't believe your gonna have to leave again.

Ryu: Don't think of it as me just leaving straight up, I'll be here in Spirit. By the way, Congrats on your Semblance. It kinda reminds me of Karma's, in a higher scale that is.

Jaune: Finally something that I can hold over someone's head.

Ryu: Make sure she doesn't find out until I get there. I wanna see reaction. Say high to Pyrrha too. Tell her that I got some payback for her.

Jaune: Gotcha.

They fist bumped and Ren came up to him next.

Ren: Gotta say sealing her was an idea I never even thought of. Your a genius.

Ryu: Make sure you keep a good eye on Nora too.

Ren: I always do.

The two fist bumped an Nora came up.

Nora: Thanks Ryu.

Ryu: For what?

Nora: For seeing me as more of a goofball when we met.

Ryu: I always say never judge a book by its cover.

Nora: If anyone working for her ever comes your way-

Ryu: I'll break their legs and more.

They high five'd and Aurora came up to him.

Ryu: Hey Aurora. I didn't want me nearly killing you to be how we met after all that time.

Aurora: I mean we're talking a little more normally right now aren't we?

Ryu: Touché. I guess we can catch up the next time we see each other.

Aurora: That we can.

Ryu: By the way let who's stronger right now you or Azure?

Erica: Sad to say, but Azure has me beat by a long shot. So does Karma and Erica.

Ryu: Good to know.

They hugged before Qrow came up.

Qrow: Ryu, I haven't said this enough, but I'm proud of you.

Ryu: I'm proud to have had a great teacher like you. Bad luck and all.

They shared a VERY brief hug before separating. He looked towards Oscar and extended out his hand.

Ryu: I never actually introduced myself. Ryu Kaizen.

Oscar shook Ryu's hand with a smile.

Oscar: I'm Oscar Pine.

Ryu: Well, your pretty good for someone who seems to have no experience fighting much. You've got a lot of talent kid. You're your own person.

Oscar: Thanks.

Their hands separated as Ryu prepared for the worse.

Ryu: 'Alright I better get ready to get hit really hard.'

Aero came up and there was brief silence before Ryu was smacked so hard it echoed through the skies. Everyone besides Aero and Ryu started to snicker holding their laughters in.

Aero: That was for being a jackass and not trying to dodge the fireball that turned you evil.

Ryu: Ok I deserved that.

He was slapped a second time even harder than the first.

Aero: And that's for now since your leaving yet again.

Ryu: Ok that one was deserved too.

Aero: And this is because you're an idiot.

He was prepared for another slap but instead was met by a kiss.

Aero: Make sure when you feel like yourself again, you come back to us as soon as possible.

Ryu: If I don't, you can break up with me.

Aero: Nice try, but I'm not very petty.

Ryu smirked as reverted back to his normal state once again.

Ryu: Don't want the last way you guys see me for a little to be as a transformed state.

Ryu did a two finger salute to them all before flying into the sky. While he did, he saw Sun waving to him. Ryu waved back as he left Haven Academy.

Ryu: Why does this feel familiar.

Shojo: Well, you were nicknamed the Lone Wolf in your past life.

Ryu: Really?

Shojo: Yeah.

Ryu: I don't remember everything, but what exactly was I like back then?

Shojo: Where do I start? You were the calmest person even when fighting, you were a complete nightmare when someone hurt your friends, you completely had control in a fight even when you seemed to be against the wall, I still see those attributes in you now. One key difference is that you were super serious. Probably more serious than Azure is.

Ryu: Lies!

Shojo: I'm dead serious.

Ryu: Next you'll tell me that Azure actually was cocky in that past life.

Shojo stayed silent and snickered shocking Ryu.

Ryu: Ok I'm done.

Shojo: What? You don't wanna here about anyone else?

Ryu: No. I don't want my entire view to change anymore than the evil has already done to it.

Shojo: Well you'll get it out of your system. WAIT DO YOU HAVE THE GOD BREAKER WITH YOU?!!

Ryu: Don't worry, I got it back in the seal like it should be.

Shojo let out a sigh of great relief. They continued flying for an hour straight before landing.

Ryu: First things first, I gotta get out the Salem that's still in me.

Shojo: And how do you plan to do that?

Ryu: Like every other Anime character has done to get rid of evil in them.

He sat down and lit a fire in front of him.

Ryu: Meditate for hours on end.

He closed his eyes and concentrated on only his breathing and the imbalances inside of him. He went into deep meditation and entered his mind. We he did, he noticed that there was a lot more evil than usual.

Ryu: Yeah that's usually not there when I'm here.

Shojo: You actually go inside your mind?

Ryu: I mean what else do you think I do when I tuned out Salem, and pretty much everyone else before that too?

Shojo: Fair point.

Ryu: Right now I just have to find a way to blast it out of me without creating an evil counterpart of myself.

Shojo: Wait if if you split into two does that mean only 1 of you would get me or both of you?

Ryu: I don't know but I'm not willing to test that theory. Now what's the best way to drive out darkness?

Shojo: Light?

Ryu: I wanna think that would work, but I just know it won't be that simple.

Shojo: Your right.

Ryu sighed at hearing himself.

Ryu: I miss optimism.

Shojo was pondering her thoughts thinking of a way that could possibly drive out the darkness. Ryu also began thinking but couldn't think of anything.

Ryu: ARGH!! Between finding a way to seal Salem away and figuring out how to get rid this evil I feel like I'm caught in a rock and a hard place!

Ryu snapped back into reality and got a tad bit frustrated.

Shojo: Yeah we're not getting this any time soon.

Ryu: You know what? Screw it. I'll just sleep on this and try and figure something out in the morning.

Shojo: Yeah I guess it's not a bad idea.

Ryu brought out a sleeping bag and layer on his side.

Shojo: Ya know, it's kinda weird not having everyone say goodnight to each other.

Ryu: Yeah, I kinda got used to it. Even screaming for everyone to shut up and go to bed. Looks like it's just us for a while huh?

Shojo: It is. Well, night.

Ryu: Night.

Ryu closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.

Back to Salem.

Salem was furious to find out that her underlings failed so spectacularly.

Salem: Keith has died, they have the Relic, and Ryu has wretched free of my control and has gained even more power! Not to mention Ozpin is ALIVE!! It's preposterous that one mission could go so horribly and everything can be taken in one fowl swoop!!

Salem was covered in a very evil Aura and kept pacing around.

Salem: He may have freed himself but I still hold the all the cards. He may be able to run, but try though he might, scream though he might, with the darkness I laid inside of him, he won't be able to hide.

Ryu slept aware that he was being watched that night. How will he rid himself of the ever growing evil inside of him? Will he ever find the way to seal Salem away? Find out next time on Rwby: TEAM RAGE!
