Ryu: So this is the place?

Ryu Keith and Tyrian were in front of a very ominous palace.

Evernight Place.

Keith: Yes it is. And behave yourself when your in front of Salem idiot. She is more terrifying than you could ever imagine. Why do you think Tyrian is cowering so much right now?

Tyrian: I'm sorry... S-she'll forgive us.

Ryu: Oh that's why he's been saying that over and over since last chapter.

Keith: Last what?

Ryu: The last few hours.

Shojo: And it's getting REAAAAALLY annoying.

Ryu thought this as well and chopped Tyrian in the back of the neck.

Ryu: There. That problem is fixed.

He slung Tyrian over his shoulder as they started walking up the stairs.

Ryu: By the way, why the hell do you look so familiar?

Keith rose an eyebrow hearing this.

Keith: The hell are you on about?

Ryu: It's just you look very fucking familiar, red hair, fox ears, someone I knew.

When the door opened, Ryu immediately saw Cinder panting and struggling to get rid of some Beowolves. She swung her arm and got rid of four of the eight making Ryu chuckle.

Ryu: Still trying time adapt to that power? Pathetic.

She looked behind her to not see him and only Keith, before turning around to see all the Beowolves decomposing at Ryu's feet. He looked at her with a smug grin.

Ryu: I on the other hand am doing pretty well with it.

Cinder scowled seeing Ryu but stayed her hand from attacking.

???: I see you were successful in your Mission Keith.

Keith immediately knelt down.

Keith: I was M'Lady.

Ryu was confused before he deadpanned.

Ryu: 'She's right behind me isn't she?'

Shojo: Yep.

Ryu turned around to see an odd looking woman.

Salem "THE EVIL MARSHMALLOW"

Ryu: 'Holy shit she looks even more inhuman than I thought.'

Shojo: At this point I can't throw up at this kind of stuff anymore.

Ryu: So your the one that is my master now? It is a pleasure to finally meet you.

Ryu knelt down to Salem in a way not very like him. Salem seeing those act was pleased.

Salem: One of the last warriors of light and shadows finally here before me. Very good. I'm sure you must have questions.

Ryu: A few actually.

Salem: Follow me boy.

Salem started walking towards a room. Ryu was about to follow but realized he still he Tyrian over his shoulder and threw him towards Keith.

Keith: What the absolute hell just happened?

Ryu and Salem made their way to a table with many seats. The first thing Ryu noticed is that there was someone else sitting there.

Ryu: So who's that?

Salem: That is my daughter. I believe Aero has told you of her once.

???: It's May.

May "The Dragon of Victory" (Whatever the Hell Salem's last name is.)

Ryu: Oh so your the one she called the Dragon of Victory.

May: Yes. And you are Ryu.

Ryu: Ok so your her daughter, neat. But I'm just looking for my questions to be answered.

Salem: Patience. I will tell you all you need to know.

Ryu: Ok then, I'm all ears.

Salem: First, do you know that out of all of the Gods people made up since the beginning, only 2 are real?

Ryu: What, like the Two Brothers?

Salem: The very same ones.

Ryu: Wait what?

Salem: Light, and Darkness. The older brother created life to fill this world with wondrous joys, but the younger brother, disgusted by those creations, created things to destroy them at night. Fire, drought, famine. But in the end, life always returned. To tip the balance in the younger brothers favor, he created creatures of Darkness. More commonly known to you, as Grimm.

Ryu: That son of a-

Salem: That's is when the older brother proposed to make on last creating, together. This being would have both powers of creation and destruction. But more importantly, they would have the power to choose.

Ryu: That's how humanity came about isn't it?

Salem: Yes.

Ryu: Ok then, so what's next?

Salem: Have you ever heard the Fairy Tale of the Girl in the Tower?

Ryu gave Salem a side eyed glance.

Shojo: Don't you fucking tell me.

Ryu: You don't mean-

May: Yep, she was the one.

Ryu had a look of pure confusion mixed with annoyance.

Ryu: Are all of these damn Fairy Tales based around things that happened when you were around?!

May: I had the same reaction.

Salem: Moving on. Locked a way by my cruel father, I was a girl that desired one thing. Freedom.

Ryu: Makes sense, everyone has a right to be free.

Salem: I lived in a time where King's and their kingdoms were plentiful. When men and women were capable of greatness and Magic was a gift from the gods that all could wield. And yet there I sat within my tower.

Ryu: Come to think of it I need to ask you, if only Maidens can do magic without dust, and summon lightning, fire and winds, why can the person I called friend Azure, and his family line do the same?

Salem: That is because they are from a line that had in a way kept their Magic. Their semblances allow them to use pure magic, not simply wield the elements.

Ryu: Ok thank you for clearing that up.

Salem: Until one day, a Legendary Hero came to rave the challenges within the tower's walls. The people of the land knew him, as Ozma.

Ryu: This guy sounds really familiar. And not in the good way.

Salem: Unlike those who had come before, this warrior was not driven by the prize of my hand. He fought only for righteousness, and his pure heart and courageous soul prevailed. We escaped the wretched forest, and yet something bound us together. Ozma had been ready to give his life for justice countless times, but now saw a woman worth saving it for. And I, to my own surprise, found my freedom not in the outside world I had yearned for, but in the eyes of a man that saved me. We fell deeply in love and planned adventures around the world, and lived happily ever after.

Ryu: Or at least that's what should've happened right?

Salem: Exactly. He had fallen ill. And where all of the beast and blades of the world had fallen short, a single sickness prevailed.

Ryu: Yikes, thats, actually really rough. I guess it was hard to loose someone you love even back then. It definitely still is now.

Salem: I had hopped the Gods would see this injustice and make it right.

Ryu: But let me guess, the light God was like: "Life and death are part of a delicate balance." Right.

Salem: You seem to have quite the mind for one so young. That is right.

May: And when she went God of Darkness he was happy to bring him back after some ass kissing. He would do it. Buuuut we all know things can never be that easy.

Salem: Once the older brother had found out that the balance had been disrupted, he had come to the realm of his brother. There was a great dispute almost leading them to fighting in Dragon forms, but in the end, it was the younger brother himself that destroyed Ozma once again.

Ryu: The irony in that.

Salem: Angered by what they did, I tried to attack them. When I awoke, I was in a fall ready to accept my fate. But I soon learned that they have made me immortal.

Ryu: Hold the hell up your immortal?

Salem: Yes.

Shojo: Join the club.

Salem: My fruitless attempts to reunite with Ozma eventually became nothing more than spite and defiance against the Gods.

Ryu: Suicide, got it. But if they were really Gods, then they shouldn't have been so quick to turn on each other, brothers or not.

Salem: That is how I made the decision to rebel against them. If I could make them turn on each other, than I could make humanity turn on them, and finally rid myself of that curse. Or at the very least, make them suffer.

Ryu: Guessing that didn't turn out very well.

Salem: Indeed. I gathered everyone around the kingdoms, told tales of how I "stole" immortality from the gods. I learned something: That the hearts of man were easily swayed.

Ryu: Ain't that the truth. Keep going.

Salem: After they tried using magic against the God of Darkness, he simply caught it like a ball, before creating a wave of dark power so great, it destroyed all of man kind. Once again, I was alone, wandering the face of the planet, that was remnant of its former self.

Ryu: Ok so that explains that. Sooo, how did you get, like, well how you are now.

He gestured to Salem's entire body.

Salem: Wrll fate led me back to the land of darkness.

Ryu looked at May with an eyebrow raised.

Ryu: She thought the pool am that created Grimm could kill her didn't she?

May: That she did.

Salem: And that's what caused me to become what you see in front of you. It gave me a want of pure destruction.

Ryu: I'm guessing the Brothers will come into play again.

May: You're going shot for shot right now.

Salem: In what I could only imagine was a way they wanted to torture me even more, they sent Ozma back, with a new name. One that you are much more familiar with.

Ryu: Nooooooo.....

May: I think you know him as-

Ryu: No~ don't you fucking say it.

Salem&May: Ozpin.

Ryu: THAT GRAY HAIRED ASSHOLE?!!! But how?! Can he reincarnate or something?!!

May: Actually, yes. Until the world could fix their differences and stop the conflict, he would keep on coming back.

Ryu: OHOHO he is in for a VERY long eternity then.

Salem: Possibly. Years after Ozma had returned, he made his way to me, and somehow, we knew exactly who each other were.

Ryu: Mm.

Something in Ryu's brain clicked before his head turned straight to May.

Ryu: WAIT THAT MEANS YOUR OZPIN'S DAUGHTER!!!!

May: I never met the man, but mother told me everything since I could remember.

Ryu: Alright I'm gonna try using my head for some of this, tell me if I'm wrong: After a while you and Ozma, who became Ozpin, started talking more about the world, and you had the idea of becoming the new Gods.

Salem: You're too smart for your own good. We did, we even had a family, and it lasted for a long time. Until, I found out his mission that he had kept secret for so long. And the Four Relics that the God of light sent. Knowledge, Creation, Destruction, and Choice.

Ryu: So that's what Raven was blathering about. So what happened when you found out?

May: Weeeeeell, they basically broke up. My late sisters had all been caught in the crossfire, and now we're searching for the relics to blast my fool of a father to dust.

Ryu: Well, Ozpin pretty much is the reason my sister is dead, so I want to kill him once or twice myself for that. So long as he's not in a kids body. I'll wait until they're a grown man.

Salem: Well that is all there is to know. We must find the relics, and destroy Ozpin. And with two with the powers of Maidens, as well as my own daughter, it shouldn't be much trouble.

Ryu: Hmph, forget the Maiden powers, the moment you got ME was the moment your victory was assured my master.

Salem: I expect great things of you boy.

Ryu: I aim to please.

May: 'And he's cute, bonus.'

Ryu: By the way May, how old exactly are you?

May: Well, technically I'm 19, but my mother had kept me in her womb afraid that she'd see to much of my father in me.

Ryu: I'm not gonna even ask how that possible, and just go.

Salem: You are dismissed.

Ryu walked out of the room and was met with Mercury and Emerald who were immediately hostile.

Emerald: What are you doing here?!!

Mercury: And how did you even find this place?!

Ryu: I neither want or need to tell you. All ya need to know is that I'm loyal to Salem now.

He appeared behind them shocking the two.

Ryu: So you don't have to worry to much. And Cinder, just to be clear, I could kill you at any moment. So don't push me.

She slightly moved back from that shocking Mercury and Emerald.

Mercury: 'Did he just scare Cinder?'

Emerald: 'I thought only Salem could do that.'

Ryu: I might not be Salem, but I sure as hell scared her the last time I fought, and almost killed her.

He began walking away leaving the three in confusion.

Emerald: Can he read minds?

Mercury: Freaks me the hell out.

Ryu: Well she never said I couldn't leave at my leisure and honestly, I can be there any time she needs me. So I'm gonna go do some crazy stuff.

Shojo: Loopholes.
