When we last left off-

All: RYU!!

Everyone who came through the door had toppled over him.

Ryu: OWWW!!! SERIOUSLY HAVE YOU ALL NOT LEARNED THAT I HATE BEING CRUSHED?!!!

They all got up letting Ryu breathe.

Ryu: I think that nearly cracked my spine.

Without a second word, Aero kissed Ryu holding him tight.

Aero: Idiot...

Ryu: I'm yours though.

Azure: ..... Yeah I feel like I'm missing something here.

Karma: Care to fill us in?

Erica: I'm afraid to find out about this.

Ryu: Wait, you guys didn't know that we were dating since the Beacon Fall?!

Azure: WHAT?

Karma: We probably should've seen that coming a mile away.

Erica: You really are something else you know that Ryu?

Ryu: Bite me. Anyway, we're all fully licensed Huntsmen and Huntresses, I've got my ways of traveling around, I gotta pay an important visit to someone.

Qrow: And who would that be?

Ryu: No one any of you really have to worry about.

Aero: I think I'll tag along.

Ryu snickered looking in the air.

Ryu: If you insist. We'll be back in a little bit.

Azure: What could... Pfft! Oh I'm definitely checking out that reaction. We shouldn't be to long. Just a visit to the hospital.

Ryu created a crystal knife before slashing the air in front of them.

Yang: Wait! That's my moms semblance!

Ryu: Oh right, I kinda had a run in with her a few times. Ask Qrow about the first- Buy guys!

He grabbed Azure and Aero and jumped into the portal before Yang looked at Qrow with a look with a million questions.

Qrow: Oh damn you Ryu.

Ryu: Alright guys right we're here.

They all walked into a hospital room with a brown haired woman looking to be in her early 40's laying in a hospital bed.

Ryu: Mom?

The woman opened her eyes as they looked identical to Ryu's.

???: Ryu? Is that really you sweetheart?

Ryu smiled as that was all the woman need to confirm it was him. She reached for his face and pulled him into a hug.

???: My baby!

Kasumi Kaizen!

She rapidly kissed Ryu's cheek smothering him.

Ryu: Mom!

Kasumi: It's been over 2 years since I've been able to see you! Have you been staying healthy? Did you get hurt during the attack?

Ryu: Yes, not very. But mom, it's really great to see you again. We've got a lot to talk about.

Kasumi: Oh and you've brought Azure with you.

Azure: Hey Kasumi.

Kasumi: Who's that stunning girl you've brought here.

She gestured her hand to Aero who was panicking with the realization that the person they were seeing was Ryu's mother.

Ryu: Oh right, well mom, this is Aero. She's actually my girlfriend.

Aero: I-It's nice to finally meet you ma'am!

Ryu, Azure, and even Kasumi were laughing at her nervousness.

Ryu: Don't worry, my mom's definitely not like that!

Kasumi: Please dear you can relax around me.

Aero let out a sigh of relief seeing that laxness of the mother of her lover.

Aero: 'Now I see where Ryu gets his chill from.'

Kasumi: All of you sit down. It's been a long time since I've had good company.

Ryu: By the way, how did you get in a hospital bed? Is everything ok?

Kasumi: Well we were out on a mission and, well now I'm a bit past my prime, I let my guard down, a bandit took advantage of it, and...

She lifted up a sheet to reveal the her left leg was missing. Ryu and Azure's eyes popped out of their heads while Aero nearly feinted.

Ryu: HOLY SHIT!!!

Kasumi slapped Ryu upside the head with a straight face.

Kasumi: Language!

Ryu: Sorry if I start swearing when I see my mom is missing a leg!

Kasumi: Hmph, you should've seen what I did to the bandit. He lost more then a limb. Good thing they were wanted dead or alive.

Aero: 'Maybe I was wrong about the chill.'

Ryu: Good thing I'm a lot better at this. Give me a minute mom.

Ryu placed his hands over the stub of his mother's leg with blue light emanating from them. In a flash of light, the limb regrew with everyone looking at it in disbelief.

Ryu: Thats much better.

Azure: SINCE WHEN COULD YOU DO THAT?!!!

Ryu: I figured it out a few months ago.

Kasumi: Ryu, was that... Magic?

Ryu: Uhhhhh..... Maybe I should've thought that through a bit more.

Aero: Yeah, you really should've.

Kasumi: Those must have been the Maiden Powers.

Ryu: Say what now?

Kasumi: Oh come sweetie, you didn't think Ironwood kept a secret that big did you?

Azure: Oh yeah maybe I should've mentioned that.

Ryu: Then, you must know about-

Kasumi: Amber? Of course. Though it did sadden me, I'm happy a part of her still is with you.

Ryu looked up before smiling.

Ryu: Yeah. But another thing I learned, dad is still alive.

Kasumi has a heartfelt smile as she spoke.

Kasumi: I had a feeling that stubborn idiot wouldn't die without putting up a good fight. But enough about that, I want to know more about you Aero.

Aero inwardly began to start panicking again.

Aero: 'OH NO!! WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO TELL HER?! I CAN'T JUST RANDOMLY BRING UP THE FACT THAT I WORKED FOR SALEM!! AND ESPECIALLY THAT FACT THAT I BROKE BOTH OF HER SONS ARMS!!!'

Ryu: Well for starters, she actually someone who was kind of an obstacle for a little in my life.

Kasumi: Ohhhh, I think I'd rather hear it from her.

Aero at this point was sweating bullets but then tried to think hopefully.

Aero: 'Ok, who knows, maybe she won't be angry.' Well, for a while, I was, ummm... Technically apart of Salem's inner circle.

This peaked Kasumi's interest as she listened closer. Aero took a deep breath before spewing everything that she wanted to say out in fast manner.

Aero: Well, this man Roman Torchwick was pretty much a subordinate to Cinder someone who was in that circle to but I had to join in with Cinder by orders of Salem and me and Ryu kinda had to fight, I broke his arms, then on the break we kind of got to know each other a little bit more and then I had to go to Beacon as a Haven student then Ryu and I went on a sorta date and he showed me the launch sight then we got launched we toppled over each other I bit his neck with him finding out that I'm a vampire, we had a heart to heart, I pulled him out of a slump, we fought again, I lost bad then we kissed, we killed a Grimm Dragon, he woke up after a few weeks, then we went to Haven, Ryu turned evil, we fought AGAIN, I had to hit him with a Hammer-

Ryu: The God Breaker.

Aero: -He went back to normal retrieves a Relic, had to part ways from ya then he came back today and that's pretty much everything.

Aero was panting hard from not even taking a breath. Kasumi was processing everything she had heard in the span of 30 seconds before finally saying something.

Kasumi: Did I hear something about a Vampire?

Time Skip!!

After everything was explained to Kasumi in slower detail, she was laughing uncontrollably.

Kasumi: Ahahaha!!! I new Ryu was cocky but getting controlled by someone else because of it is a whole new level of hilarious!

Ryu: Ok to be fair, I'm strong enough to blow up a mountain. I think being a LITTLE cocky is expected.

Kasumi: Well, I'm glad summer drilled that out of you. But enough in that, tell me what you like about Ryu.

Aero blushed at the sudden mention of that.

Aero: What I like about him?

Both Ryu and Azure picked up on what that question meant and Ryu came up with a not fake excuse.

Ryu: Oh crap I gotta tell Ruby that Summer is alive!! You two stay here and keep talking, come on Azure!

Ryu sliced the air with his hand creating a portal.

Azure: We'll be back.

They went through the portal leaving Aero and Kasumi there.

Kasumi: Well, the boys are gone. Tell me.

Aero: Well, there's just so much I don't even know where to start. But I guess for starters, he the first person to accept me, for me. He didn't care about what I was, only who I was. At the time, I didn't think there was anyone who could be so... So accepting.

Kasumi: Thats my boy. He's his fathers son. That I just can't doubt.

Aero: And beyond that, he's the kindest person I've ever met. And probably the funniest too. He has a sense of humor that's for sure, he's kind of a trickster too.

Kasumi: That part he mostly got from his father. By the way, what exactly did he do in Beacon?

Aero laughed thinking about the first prank she saw him pull.

Aero: Well when I first got there, I was kinda roped into the prank. He actually switched Yang's shampoo with glue and got her hair ripped out. She was so mad there was an earth quake when she was yelling. He hid behind me when she was chasing him and I pointed her the other way. That's when he noticed it was me he hid behind.

Kasumi laughed along with Aero hearing that trolls of Ryu.

Kasumi: Ohhh that's a Ryu classic! He did it once with his sister and she shot bullets at him with no mercy! But anyway, go on.

Aero: One other thing I love about him is that he's as strong as they come, but he doesn't hold it over people's heads. He's actually pretty humble when it comes to those things. But I think above all else, I love how he cares about everyone he's close too. He's always willing to put his life on the line for everyone. I think that's how I finally fell for him. It bothered me for a long time trying to figure it out.

Kasumi: Well I sure am glad that he has someone with a good head, and an even bigger heart to look after him like you.

Aero: Oh, thank you!

Elsewhere!

Ryu and Azure came through a portal to Ruby who was just walking around.

Ryu: Rubes!

Ruby: AHH!!

She jumped in the air terrified of Ryu coming out of nowhere.

Ruby: Ryu! Can you please stop popping in and out of existence like that?!! Seriously, you're gonna give somebody a heart attack like that!

Ryu: No promises. Anyway I have something important to tell you. It's something you need to know.

Ruby: Well, what is it?

Ryu: Ruby, you're mother is alive.

Ruby paused for a bit before looking at Ryu with a questioning expression.

Ruby: Wh... What did you just say?

Ryu: I know it's hard to believe, but Summer is alive. She had a run in with Salem and is trapped in a different dimension. Somehow I got there, and she helped me, even trained me for the time I was gone.

Ruby looked at Ryu seeing that he dead serious. She fell in her knees and started crying with Ryu kneeling down right beside her.

Ruby: She, she's really alive...

Ryu: If my dad was able to get out of Salem's chokehold then you're mom is probably gonna be able to find a way too. If not, then after she's dealt with I'll tear apart the entire place finding a way to do it.

Ruby: *Sniff* Yeah.

Azure: At least she's alive and well. That's all I'd ask for.

Ryu: Wait what?

Azure: Well I guess I'd have to tell you at some point. Grandpa George died a few months ago.

Flashback!!

Azure: Gramps no stay with us!! You can still make it out of here in one piece!!

Azure was standing over an old man who was bleeding from the side.

George Kaito!

George: *Cough* *Cough* Well Azure, this might be the end of me. Down and critically injured by a Grimm. This feels both humiliating and slightly fitting. I always did want to go out fighting. That's the only way I see fit.

Azure: Don't talk like that Gramps! You're gonna get out of this alive! We all will!!

Azure was struggling to keep the tears in his eyes at bay. The old man ruffled Azure's hair with a smile.

George: Come now my boy, there's no need for tears. Not now. Besides, there's no other place I'd rather die, *COUGH* *Cough* then in the arms of my dear grandson. You are the future of our family boy. Don't let yourself die here. You've got strength that's greater than any semblance or weapon. In here. Never loose you're light Azure.

He tapped to where Azure's heart was before going limp. Azure saw the Aura fade from him as he could no longer fight the tears. He didn't scream out in pain, or even weep, but a sorrowful smile was on Azure's face. And in what could only be described as the fleeting strength of George being passed on to Azure, lightning surrounded him as it soon became red. With the snap of his fingers, all the Grimm around him were turned to ash by lightning coming down from the sky.

Azure: 'Alright Gramps. I won't ever stray from who I am.'

Flashback Over!!

Ruby: Holy-

Ryu: Shit.

Azure: Yeah that's pretty much how I figured out blood lightning mode. But Ruby, trust me, knowing that their alive is a whole to better than that.

Ruby: That in a way made me feel kinda better about her situation. Thanks Azure.

Azure: No problem.
