The reason for that unwavering silence was because of a Grimm of unprecedented size had came behind them. And this was said Grimm.

Colossus!

Erica: A COLOSSUS? REALLY?

Ryu: HOW THE HELL DID THAT BIG ASS THING GET PAST US?!

Azure: Yeah maybe we weren't ready for this.

Karma: Hey Ryu you think you can freeze that thing?

Ryu: And freeze all of you doing it? Not a good idea.

Aurora: Alright everyone, on the count of three, we attack it with everything we've got. Karma, you boost our Aura.

Azure: Are you sure that's a good idea?

Aurora: We need to kill it either way. Plus it'll follow us anyway.

Ryu: Everyone, back away from me right now.

They all did as he said as he used his Half Hot Half Cold mode.

Ryu: You can move in a little closer now.

They all moved in and Karma stayed back pouring Aura into them.

Aurora: On my mark. 3... 2.... 1..... ATTACK!!!

She swung her hands forward marking lava come from the ground. Azure brought his hand up and lighting was sent into the sky, calling a giant thunder dragon.

Azure: Kirin.

Ryu brought out Volcanic Destroyer and pulled the sword back.

Ryu: GETSUGA TENSHO!!

He swing his blade and blue energy came out. Erica used fire and lightning dust crystals loaded into her guns and filled them will her own Aura as they shot towards the giant Grimm. There was a massive explosion filling the area with dust making Ryu cough.

Ryu: Did we hurt it?

Azure: I don't know. How about the one who can blow away all this dust do so.

Ryu snapped his fingers and wind blew away all the dust, revealing the Colossus who had barely been damaged.

Ryu: Probably gonna need about 3 more of those.

The Colossus roared summoning 4 dozen juvenile Nevermore's.

Ryu: That's some old bull crap.

Aurora: Ok. Erica, you and I will take care of the flocks, Ryu and Azure, you both focus on taking the Colossus down. Karma, redirect the amount of Aura you put into Erica and I and focus it all on those two.

Karma: Got it.

Erica and Aurora had stopped getting Aura from Karma and Ryu and Azure both got another burst of strength.

Ryu: You ready Azure?

Azure activated his Godspeed mode and smirked.

Azure: Always.

They both dashed to the sides of the Colossus. Ryu jumped up and his leg ignited with a purple flame.

Ryu: Flames of Hell.

He kicked at its face making its neck go to the left. It roared and was about to stomp on the ground until Azure brought up his hands and giant pillars of stone went smashing into the sides of the Grimm. It roared out in pain before trying to kick Azure. He was able to move out of the way making its leg hit a building, worryingly getting it to collapse.

Azure: 'Not to self, don't get hit.'

Ryu: Azure, I think we should try that combo.

Azure: You sure it'll work on something that big? We're gonna need to use a lot of Aura.

Ryu: Do remember who I am? Plus even if you run out, Karma can fill you back up.

Karma: Your talking like I'm just a living bank here.

Azure: Alright, let's try it.

Azure held out his hands and lightning surrounded both of them. Ryu did the same but his hands were ignited with flames.

Erica: Wait there using that move?!

Aurora: What move are you talking about?

Erica: It's a move that just might be able to take that thing down.

Ryu jumped over the back of the Colossus and the flames extended out into thin wires. Azure went under as his lightning had done the same. They zipped around the Grimm as it got confused and wasn't able to make a move.

Ryu: 'Alright now we just need to get it around its neck too.'

Azure: 'Ryu, I hope your thinking what I am.'

Simultaneously they both jumped into the air and swung the elemental wires around the neck of the Colossus.

Ryu&Azure: 'Yes!'

As they dropped to the ground, they both sped to behind the massive Grimm and skidded to a halt. They both pulled the wires and the Colossus had been severely wounded.

Aurora: What in Gods name was that?!!

Erica: It's their combination attack. They each make strands of lightning and flames that could cut through solid rock, then they wrap it around a target. If they're able to pull it off, then in almost an instant kill. They call it Photon Slicers.

Ryu: Names still a work in progress. Downside is it cost a sizable chunk of aura for the both of us.

Azure: Stop lying, it barely cost anything for you. I on the other hand-

Karma: Thankfully I was providing the Aura.

Karma got up exhausted.

Karma: Sheesh. And that thing is still up.

Azure: One last attack should do it.

Ryu: Thunder Devastation?

Azure: Why not.

They both went separate directions dodging a stomp from the massive Grimm. Ryu shot red lightning into the sky while Azure shot blue right into it. There was a surge in the sky before a massive rain of lighting dropped down into the Colossus, finally destroying it. They both dropped out of their respective modes and breathed sighs of relief.

Ryu: That's finally over.

Azure: Yeah, and not a moment to soon.

Erica shot the last Juvenile Nevermore in the head before putting away her guns.

Erica: That takes care of that.

Aurora: That should have been the last of the Grimm in this area. We can head back at morning.

Time Skip!

It was night and everyone was sleeping, accept for Aurora since she had the watch for the first 2 hours. Everyone was in their sleeping bags and had their eyes closed.

Erica: Guys, you still awake?

Azure: Yeah.

Karma: I am.

Ryu: Well I cant sleep with you three talking.

Erica: It's just, am I the only one curious as to how a Grimm so powerful that it could also control smaller Grimm could stay under the Beacon radar for so long?

Karma: Of course not, it's all I've been able to think about all night.

Azure: It doesn't make any sense. Every Grimm always gives off some kind of sound or feel of danger. The fact that something as huge as a Colossus was able to go undetected is crazy.

Ryu: The fact that it took that long to beat it means something too.

Karma: And what's that?

Ryu: That there are still walls I couldn't break past. Every Grimm we've fought up until now I could've easily taken down by myself. If none of you were here, I'm not sure if there was a way I could've gotten out without a scratch or two.

Erica: Why are you so upset about that? I mean it can't be the first time you came across something like that.

Ryu: Grimm, no, a few people however...

Azure: Your talking about Aero aren't you?

Ryu: You guesses it. I can picture how a one on one with that thing would've gone for her. An easy victory.

Karma: Was she really that powerful.

Ryu: She was even stronger. The way she fought had so much force but so much skill. It made me angry the fact that I could barely manage a draw then.

Azure: I hit her with one of my thunder bolts and she didn't even flinch, how do you think I felt?

Ryu: You wanna know something else? She was probably just having fun until the end of the fight. She could've easily taken me out before I had the chance you go to my max power.

Azure: Ugh... Well since we're just talking, do you think you know why my sister asked us why we wanted to be hunters and huntresses?

Karma: What else do I not know today?

Ryu: I don't know. Some kind of elaborate question that she thought of to test us.

Erica: Being honest, I lied when I said I wanted to be a huntress just for the thrill. My mom's pretty sickly. If she doesn't get the right medical attention fast, then she's expected to die soon.

Azure: So you finally felt like spilling the beans to everyone.

Ryu: You knew?

Azure: I'd be a pretty sorry ass boyfriend if I didn't.

Karma: Honestly, you all know that I'm trying to stop the White Fang. They're despicable. After what they did I'll never look at them the same.

Azure: I'm basically in it for the same reason. You are too right Ryu?

Ryu: Well... I guess but there's also something else.

Azure: That is?

Ryu: I seriously don't wanna talk about it right now.

Karma: Ryu we're your team. The leaders supposed to set an example remember?

Ryu: Didn't expect my leader card to be used against me. Fine, the truth is... I think my sister is still alive.

Karma: Say what now?

Erica: Wait you have a sister?

Ryu: Yeah.

Azure: HAD. Dude she took a hit for you and fell of the docks.

Ryu: I know but I just have a feeling. Just deep inside that she's still out their. I was gonna become a hunter before that, but getting info is easier.

Azure: How long have you had that feeling.

Ryu: Remember when I broke out of that little depression I had?

Karma: Yeah.

Ryu: Around then. And look.

Ryu held up his hand and his board came up.

Ryu: This is what I've gathered every month since then. Still nothing that gives complete evidence that she's alive.

He made it vanish before lying back down.

Ryu: So now ya know.

Karma: Frankly I'm mad that you didn't even think to ask me to help with information.

Azure: Yeah, and that you waited this long to say something.

Ryu: Guess I should've been smarter.

Time Skip!

Everyone was sleeping until they were woke up by a shout.

Aurora: Everyone get up now!

Everyone jolted back up.

Ryu: What is it?!

Aurora: I just got a message alerting us that Vale is under attack by Grimm!

Erica: What?!

Azure: That's impossible what could've happened?!!

Aurora: I don't know but we need to get back there immediately!

Ryu: Alright then grab on, we can teleport back there!

They all bunched up as they transported to Vale. The first thing Ryu noticed was that there were Grimm everywhere.

Ryu: Alright this is gonna be a workout.

Azure: Author, gonna need some battle music.

Music Start!

Ryu ran straight into a pack of Beowolves and took out Crescent Nightshade. He slashed at the Grimm dicing them into pieces. Ursa's tried to sneak behind him but he back flipped behind them and shot them with the separate guns. More appeared and he smirked.

Ryu: More of them than I thought. Alright, I guess I'll try a this.

He took out Crunch Bite and took out the red sword. He sheathed it back in and the Grimm were sliced in half.

Ryu: To easy.

Azure had been attacked by 5 Alpha Beowolves and was handling himself well. He took out Destiny Ward and and charged electric and fire power into the blade.

Azure: This'll take care of it.

He jumped in the air and let out 5 slashes of lightning and flame that disintegrated all of them.

Azure: That's not getting old.

Ryu: Yo Azure, wanna try it one more time?

Azure: I'm down.

They went side by side yet again activating the elemental wires. They dashed around all the surrounding Grimm in the area.

Ryu&Azure: Photon Slicers!

They went opposite ways until the wires enclosed around all of the Grimm cutting them into pieces. Azure and Ryu walked to each other and fist bumped.

Music End!!

Erica: Honestly when those two are together it's like they're invisible.

Karma: It's always been like that.

Aurora: They've known each other since the were kids, they know each other's habits in battle and know how to work in sync.

Karma: The two of them have never lost a fight when they were together. They were called The Duo of Demolition.

Time Skip!

Ryu: Finally it's over! Ugh the action of these past days have been more than I ever expected to see in a month.

Ryu laid his back on the ground and started to pet Grey on the head. Grey started licking his face.

Azure: Yeah but we managed to pull through.

Erica: Gotta say it was nice meeting your sister. She was pretty cool.

Karma: I know right? So the question is now, what will we do?

Erica: Train for the Vital Festival?

Ryu: Hell no! That's all we have been doing. If we can take down a massive Grimm than a few people won't stand a chance.

Azure: So... Anyone just wanna get to bed?

Karma: Oh yeah.

Erica: Absolutely.

Ryu: I don't wanna wake up until next week.

Grey: *Bark*

Elsewhere.

Aero was on the top of a roof eating red apples.

Aero: 'Do I really have to essentially make my way into his heart just so I can get some info out of him?'

She was about to bite into another apple but the reflection of that apple looked as if Ryu was there. She got startled and quickly crushed it in her hand.

Aero: 'Calm down Aero. It's just another job... Just like every other one right?'

She finished one last apple before coming down from the roof. The apple that she finished was there but it had lost practically all its color.

Aero: Alright that's enough.
