Ryu was making his way to the headmasters office along with Pyrrha.

Pyrrha: So why do you think he wants both of us to be here?

Ryu: No idea but it better be important since I have the finals are coming up.

They went up the elevator and soon entered the office.

Ryu: With all do respect Professor O I'm trying to focus on the match that could very well be mine.

Ozpin: Sorry for the inconvenience, both of you. But I wanted to personally congratulate the two of you on your accomplishment. Your performances have been exemplary.

Pyrrha: Thank you Professor Ozpin, but I could've never made it this far without my teammates.

Ryu: You know the old saying "There no I in team."

Qrow: Personally I think it's the other way around.

Ryu: Wait Qrow? When did you get here?

Pyrrha: I'm sorry but I don't think we've been introduced.

Ryu: This guys Qrow. He was my master a few years back.

Qrow: Only a few years back? I'll always be your master and you can bet on it.

Ryu: What? For a bucket of booze?

They both laughed.

Ozpin: He is also a trusted colleague of mine.

Ryu: So I don't mean to be that guy but-

Pyrrha: Why have you called us here?

Ryu: Thanks Pyrrha.

Ozpin: Please, take a seat.

They both sat down.

Ozpin: What is your favorite Fairy Tale?

Pyrrha: I'm, sorry?

Ozpin: Fairy Tales. Stories from your childhood. Surely one you must remember some of them.

Ryu: Well I never asked to be ready stories really often, but I can remember some of the top of my head.

Pyrrha: Well, theres the Tale of the Two Brothers; The Shallow See; The Girl in the Tower-

Ozpin: What about the Story of the Seasons.

Ryu: Oh hey I remember that. A callus old man who refuses to leave his home is visited by four traveling sisters. The first understands his reclusive nature and urges him to use his time in solitude to reflect and meditate. The second brings him fruits and flowers, tending to his crops and revitalizing his garden. The third warms the man's heart, convincing him to step outside and embrace the world around him. And the fourth and final sister begs him to look at all that he has and be thankful. In return for their kindness, than man grants the maidens incredible powers, so that they could continue to help others all over the world. They graciously accept, and promise to share their gifts with the people of Remnant until the end of days. Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. The Four Maidens.

Pyrrha: My mother loves that story.

Ozpin: Would you believe me if I told you that ones been around since I was a boy.

Ryu: Pfft! Come on Professor if you were that old you'd have to be an ancient relic.

Ozpin: Well, is Kyle you believe me if I told you it was true?

Ryu: Come again?

Pyrrha: I bet your pardon?

Ozpin: What if I were to tell you that there were four maidens existing in this world that could wield such tremendous power without Dust?

Pyrrha: You mean like a semblance?

Ozpin: Like magic.

Ryu: What? But that- That can't- my teammate Azure-

Qrow: First time I've ever heard you stutter like a damn fool. Yeah, first time hearing it's pretty crazy.

Ryu: Qrow you mean he's actually telling the truth?!

Pyrrha: Your serious?

Ozpin: Do I look like I'm joking?

Ozpin had a dead serious look on his face.

Pyrrha&Ryu: No.

There was an ominous silence before Ryu broke it.

Ryu: Why are you telling us this?

Ozpin: We are telling you, Pyrrha Nikos, because we believe that you are next in line to receive the Fall Maidens powers.

Ryu: We?

The elevator opened revealing Glynda and Ironwood.

Ironwood: Sorry we're late.

Ryu: Both of you too?

Pyrrha: Wait, what is this? Who are you?

Glynda: You know who we are. We're still the same teachers and headmasters you met when you arrived at Beacon.

Qrow: 'Cept we got a little part time job.

Ironwood: We are the protectors of this world.

Ozpin: And we need your help.

Ryu: Ok so Pyrrha next in line for some crazy super powers, but what do I have anything to do with all of this?

Ozpin: I think you know very well... We need a strong protector for this new Maiden. And you could gain those powers to protect them.

Ryu had a confused look before he put the pieces together.

Ryu: You think I my Perfect Copy can copy those powers? But I've only ever copied semblances and body movements there's not a guarantee I can copy real magic.

Ozpin: *Sigh* Follow me.

Ozpin got his cane and walked in to the elevator and everyone followed. Ozpin pushes a button and they began to go down. Pyrrha looked at Ryu and he looked back her just as confused.

Ryu: Were are we going?

Ozpin: To the vault under the school.

The doors finally opened and the 6 walked out. The adults walked straight ahead while Ryu and Pyrrha were still trying to cope with the information they had been told. Glynda however had stopped and waited for them.

Glynda: I'm sure you both must have questions.

Pyrrha: Maybe one or two.

Ryu: Quite a few.

Pyrrha: I still don't understand, you said I was next in line to receive the Maidens power. What do you mean by that?

Ryu: And why are you all so confident that my semblance can copy something like magic?

Glynda: The Maidens have existed for thousands of years. But like the nature, the seasons change. No two summers are alike.

Ryu: So the power transfers after death?

Glynda: That's right. It ensures that the seasons are never lost and that no individual can hold on to the power forever.

Pyrrha: So... how does the power choose

Qrow: Through a series of stupid and convoluted rules.

Ryu: I don't like were this is going.

Glynda: Qrow!

Qrow: Hey don't get mad cause I'm right.

Glynda: At first, the only thing we could be sure of is that the powers were specifically passed onto young women. But as time went on it was discovered that the selection process was much more... intimate.

Ryu rose an eyebrow.

Ryu: In what regard?

Glynda: As we understand it now, when a Maiden dies, the one who was in her final thoughts is the first candidate to inherit her power.

Qrow: Unless it's a dude or some old hag. Then the power goes to someone random, and our job led get a lot harder.

Ryu: Ok why tell us this right now? At the most inopportune time? Maybe wait until, I don't know, I guess sometime after we graduated?

Qrow: Honestly, we've run out of time. I don't know if you've noticed, but things are getting a lot scarier in the world.

Ryu: Qrow, a Colossus literally snuck up on us in a search and destroy mission. Believe me I know.

Qrow: A Colossus?!

Glynda: That was something we didn't expect to be there. It shows that the Grimm are starting to become more powerful.

Qrow: If you took down a Grimm of that magnitude than it shows your more than ready. But it won't be much longer until the peace we've been enjoying goes out the window.

Pyrrha: Your not talking about war

Ironwood: Not a war between nations.

Qrow: We can fill you in on the details once we know your with us. For now all you NEED to know is that one of the Maidens were attacked, and for the first time in history, part of her power was stollen.

They kept walking until they reached two pods. There was a girl in the pod.

Pyrrha: Is that her?

Ryu looked to see who was in the pod. His eyes widened in shock and for the first time in almost years-

Genuine tears of sadness fell down his eyes.

Ozpin: The current Fall Maiden.

Ryu walked towards the pod slowly and everyone had finally noticed the tears falling from his eyes.

Ryu: Amber.....

He touched the glass of the pod and looked down.

Glynda: Ryu Whats the mater.

Ryu: This can't be right... It just CANT BE!!!!

Ozpin: .....

Ryu: She..... She's my sister.....

Everyone but Ozpin stepped back at his answer.

Pyrrha: She's your sister?

Qrow: Ok that's a new one.

Glynda: Oh my...

Ironwood: So that's the sister you had once mentioned.

Ryu: After all these years..... I searched for her for all this time..... And it turned out she was right under my damn nose this ENTIRE TIME?!!

Pyrrha walked over to him and hugged the crying teen. He looked up and walked towards Ozpin.

Ryu: How long? How long has she been down here?

Ozpin didn't answer and Ryu grabbed him by the collar.

Ryu: How could you not tell me?! For 4 straight years I've been searching every month to find her!! Why did you hide it?!!

Ironwood: Ryu-

Qrow: Wait James!

Qrow put his hand out.

Ozpin: I'm sorry Ryu. I truly wanted to say something. But if word got out that your sister was still alive, then it could've ended badly for everyone in the place you called home. It was a bitter pill to swallow, but I needed to think about the lives of everyone. Your family included. Please forgive me.....

Ryu let go Ozpin finally calmed down.

Ryu: I-

Ozpin: You have every rite to be angry with me. You don't have to apologize for your actions.

Qrow: But before we say anything else, promise me you won't do anything rash.

Ryu: Ok. I promise. Is she still alive?

Ironwood: For now. We're using state of the art Atlas  technology to keep her stable. But there is a lot about this situation which is... unprecedented.

Pyrrha: What do you mean?

He sighed before Ryu realized the problem.

Ryu: You have no idea what'll happen if and when she dies. If the assailant really does have the other half, then the power could potentially seek it out.

Qrow: You've definitely got the brains to figure out that puzzle.

Ryu: If her last thought were her assailant then it'll be bad.

Ironwood: And is her last thoughts were of you, her twin, then it still could be bad since your a man.

Pyrrha walked over to the pod and placed her hand on it.

Pyrrha: If all of this is true, why keep it secret?

Glynda: From what we understand, it used to be common knowledge.

Ryu: What?

Qrow: How do you think legends and fairy tales are started? Even the craziest ones come from somewhere.

Qrow took out his flask and started drinking the beer in it.

Ryu: So are you saying that all the ones mentioned are true then?

They all looked at him with dead serious looks.

Ryu: Oh my God- So let me take a guess: Mankind wanted to hunt the Maidens to try and cover their powers.

Glynda: Exactly.

Qrow: Your just going shot for shot today.

Ryu: So in short it would cause panic since no soul would wanna believe you.

Ozpin: Which is why we would like to-

Pyrrha: I'll do it.

They all looked a Pyrrha.

Ryu: Umm, Pyrrha, I just don't think becoming the Fall Maiden is that simple.

Ozpin: Right yet again. You see due to Ambers condition you won't be able to inherit her powers naturally. But General Ironwood believes he has found a solution.

Ryu had a mini heart attack from Ozpin's tone.

Ryu: Now I'm just gonna ask you to skip any long explanation, and just give it to us straight.

Ironwood: During our research we've figured out a way to capture someone's Aura.

Qrow: Capture it, and cram it into something else. Or in her case...

Ryu gave a side eyed glance at at Qrow.

Ryu: I don't like were this is going.

Pyrrha: That's-

Ironwood: Classified.

Pyrrha&Ryu: Wrong!

Glynda: The feeling is mutual. But desperate times call for desperate measures.

Ryu: So what you telling me, is that you want to take the Aura of my sister, who is STILL alive, her literal soul, and stick it inside one of my best friends.

Ironwood: That's essentially the process.

Ryu begun to struggling to keep himself from exploding with fury. Qrow put his hands on Ryu's shoulder helping.

Qrow: Just take a deep breath Ryu.

Ryu took in a very deep breath before exhaling.

Ryu: Ok I'm good.

???: Still got that nasty temper.

Ryu: 'Again? Ugh, later.' Can you just- Give is both time for this?

Ozpin: Of course. But just understand before the festival is over, we will be your answers.

Ryu walked back over to the pod and placed his hand on it one last time.

Ryu: 'Sis... I'm so sorry I couldn't be there with you.' Ok Pyrrha, let's go.

Pyrrha placed a hand on Ryu's shoulder before they teleported outside.

Pyrrha: Ryu... How do you feel about all of this?

Ryu: I don't even know. My sister who I spent a good chunk of my life looking for is 5 feat in the grave already, Magic is real, YOUR needed to be the new Maiden, and I'd need to be your protector. If I get told anymore earth shattering things today I'm gonna break.

Pyrrha: I know how you feel. This is all just so hard to take in.

Ryu: Well in anyway, you don't tell anyone.

Pyrrha: And what about you?

Ryu: I'll have say something, just not the full truth.

They walked back to their dorms and when Ryu entered his team was sitting down. When he walked in, they noticed Ryu had a slightly grim expression. Erica immediately grabbed him by the shoulder and sat him down.

Azure: Ok idiot what did you see?

Ryu: Hey why assume that-

Karma: Your expression is never that low when you walk into this room. Something up.

Erica: You'll feel better afterwards.

Ryu: Ok fine. The truth is-

Time Skip!

The three were absolutely speechless.

Azure: Amber is Alive?!!

Erica: And she's in a pod in critical condition?!!

Ryu: Yeah, but James said that they're trying to find a way to heal her. With any luck she can pull through.

Karma: That might be the best news I've ever heard.

Ryu: Alright. I think I'm gonna go out to get some fresh air.

He walked out of the room and went outside.

Ryu: Being a Maidens Guardian Huh?

What path will Ryu choose? Will he truly be able to go through with letting Ambers own life force be extracted from her? All will be answered next chapter!
