Pyrrha was in the ring and had just finished thoroughly defeating team CRDL.

Ryu: I feel like these guys get picked on.

Karma: Mostly by you and Pyrrha.

Azure: She's not wrong.

Erica: They're kinda, well, really weak.

Azure: By our standards.

Glynda: Now we have one more sparring match today. Any volunteers? Miss Belladonna?

Blake's head shot right up.

Glynda: You've been rather docile for the past few classes. Why don't you-

Mercury: I'll do it.

He had risen his hand to volunteer to fight.

Glynda: Mercury, is it? Very well. Let's find you an opponent.

Mercury: Actually, I wanna fight, her.

He pointed to the lovable red head we all know as Pyrrha.

Glynda: I'm afraid Miss Nicos has just finished a match. I recommend you choose another partner.

Pyrrha: No it's-

Ryu: I'll take her place.

They all looked at Ryu who was already down in the arena.

Glynda: Well alright then, if you insist Mr Kaizen.

Pyrrha: Ryu what are you-

He leaned closer to Pyrrha before whispering in her ear.

Ryu: Trust me Pyrrha. I just have a bad feeling about this one.

She nodded before going back to her seat. After that, Mercury walked into the arena.

Ryu: Re-Quip: Crimson Busters.

Ryu has summoned up his red gauntlets before they both started circling around each other. Mercury made the first move and ran at Ryu and went for a roundhouse kick but Ryu effortlessly dodged and did a low sweep that Mercury got back up from and did backflips to gain distance with.

Mercury: Hm.

Ruby: Hey your friend isn't doing too bad.

Emerald: Heheheh.

Aero: I'm pretty sure he's about to lose.

Ruby: Why?

Aero: Cause your friend doesn't seem to be in a losing mood.

Ryu's eyes flashed before he disappeared.

Mercury: Huh?

Ryu: I'm in front of you tough guy.

He reappeared in front of Mercury before glowing in a purple and black light.

Ryu: Flames of Hell.

He lit his leg on fire before kicking Mercury out of the ring.

Glynda: The winner of this match is once again Mr. Kaizen.

He extended his hand out to Mercury and Mercury grabbed it.

Ryu: That was a good fight. Even though you didn't try too hard.

Mercury: Oh so you could tell.

Ryu flashed back up to the stands right near Ruby and Aero.

Ruby: Wow Ryu, you really kicked his butt!

Aero: Something tells me you didn't try at all.

Ryu: You know me so well.

Glynda: That is all for today. And remember the dance is this weekend, but you all have your first mission on Monday.

Ryu glanced over at Blake to see that she looked that she had bags under her eyes.

Ryu: Hey Rubes, what's up with Blake? She looks like she hasn't gotten any sleep lately.

Ruby: Oh its nothing.

Ryu: Do you not trust me?

Ruby: It's not that, it's just-

Ryu: It's the White Fang isn't it?

Ruby: Yeah...

He slapped his forehead.

Ryu: If you guys talking to her doesn't work, just get me or Karma.

Ruby: This is-

Aero: Your next line is "a Team RWBY problem" right?

Ruby: -a Team RWBY problem! Wait how did you know that?

Ryu: People anything like me can read you like a book. Listen Ruby, I'm the kind of guy that gets involved with other teams' problems. Weather they need me to or not. I know better than anyone else what she feels like.

Ruby: Mmm. Fine.

Ryu: You see? Was it that hard?

Ruby: Not as hard as get through to Blake is.

Ryu: Give me 5 minutes with her. I'll get her to come to her senses.

Aero: You sure? She seemed pretty antisocial to begin with.

Ryu: You know Azure right?

Aero: Yeah.

Ryu: He might have been more antisocial than her, but I found a way to get him to come out of his shell.

Aero: Well good luck.

Cinder: So did you find out anything in your fight?

Mercury: You mean besides that fact that he can use purple flames? No, not really.

Emerald: I tried making him see an illusion but he didn't seem to even notice it.

Aero: Well, he has an inhuman level of concentration, so it's no surprise that his mind has such a resistance. He told me once that if he isn't in complete control of his semblance, it could be much more powerful than he lets it be.

Mercury: Great. Two more strengths, and still no weaknesses to this guy.

Cinder only smirked when he said this.

Cinder: Well like I've said, even the strongest fighters have a weakness. His is just hard to figure out. But, I think we have someone that could get close enough to figure it out.

Aero: Who would that be?

They all turned heads towards Aero. She stopped to think for a minute before blushing.

Aero: Are you kidding?

Cinder: You actually know him enough to get along with him. All you need to do is get close, then he'll spill any secret.

Aero: Ugh. Fine. It's not my preferred way to get information but fine.

Elsewhere.

Blake was in the library on a computer. She was just researching before a red dot appeared in front of her. She tried to ignore it and she did for five seconds, before ultimately succumbing to her cat instincts and following it. When she looked up she saw out overpowered hero holding a laser pointer with Yang at his side.

Yang: Hellooooo!

Blake: What are you-

Ryu: Shut up and let's just go.

He grabbed her and they all teleported to the home room.

Blake: Why did you bring Ryu with you?

Ryu: Cause Ruby spilled the beans about the entire situation.

Yang: We really need to talk.

Blake: If your going to tell me to stop than you may as well-

Ryu: Save my breath right?

Blake: save your breath- could you not?

Ryu: Look we're not telling you to stop. We're telling you to slow down.

Blake: We don't have the luxury to slow down.

Yang: It's not a luxury, it's a necessity.

Blake: The necessity is stopping Torchwick.

Ryu: You will, but before that, your gonna have to sit down, and listen to what I'm gonna tell you. Cause if I waste my time here I'm gonna be pissed off.

He said this with a slight commanding tone.

Blake: Fine.

She sat down on the desk with Yang and Ryu.

Ryu: Me Azure and Karma grew up in Carver. A place just a step away from Atlas. In that village, or what we called it but it was pretty big, they mostly accepted Faunus. A lot of people didn't really care to much about it since they didn't act that bad. All of our parents were Huntsmen. So we decided that we wanted to be better ones than they are.

He looked up and took a deep breath before speaking again.

Ryu: 4 years ago when I was just 13, the White Fang found their way over to us. My father and grandfather were off on a small mission and they weren't expected for another 5 hours, so we were on our own. There were way to many of the for all of us to take on. There were a lot of tragedies. The three of us at least lost someone that day. But there was one that really struck me hard.

Blake: What was it?

He stayed silent for a bit before speaking again.

Ryu: It was my sister. She was my twin. We were practically inseparable. In school they never saw one of us without the other. During the attack, I was about to get hit by an attack, but she pushed me out of the way. The last thing I saw on her face was a smile before she fell of the edge of a dock. I was crushed. That's when it happened. I awakened my semblance and was in a full rage. Without realizing what I did at first, I killed at least 20, maybe more of them.

They both were taken aback by the information that he had actually take a life of someone who wasn't a Grimm when he was just 13.

Ryu: When I started getting control of myself I didn't even care that I actually killed people. I was just so sad, and even more angry. That day, I felt like I lost the other part of me. I've hatted the white fang ever since that day. But after a while, there was one thing that I was sure about.

Yang: What was that?

Ryu: She was stabbed in an area that wasn't vital, and the currents were strong and blowing towards the south.

Blake: So you mean-

Ryu: I still think- no, I know she is alive. I trained day and night, for the sole purpose of getting stronger. So that one day, I'd be able to find her. But I knew another thing. She wouldn't want me to obsess with something like that forever. So I still trained, but only for myself.

Blake: I'm sorry that happened to you, but this is different!

Ryu: How?!! How is you obsessing with this any different than what I did?! Even Yang has her own story that's like mine.

Blake: What?

Yang: Yeah.

You all know how this went.

Blake: Again I'm sorry, but this isn't some search! I'm not a child and I can't just-

Yang: For the last time we're not asking you to stop. I haven't.

Ryu: Neither have I.

He held up his hand and a chalkboard that contained many different pictures of faces. And one face in the middle stuck out to her.

Ryu: This is what I've gathered up throughout these years. I didn't spend every single day on it. Just once a month. That's all that was needed.

Yang: And to this day I still wanna know what happened to my mother and why she left me. But I will never let that search control me. We're going to find the answers we're looking for Blake, but if we destroy ourselves in the process what good are we?

Blake: You don't understand I'm the only one who can do this!

Ryu&Yang: NO YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!!

Yang: If Roman Torchwick came in through that door what would you do?!

Blake: I'd fight him!

Yang shoved Blake.

Yang: You'd loose!

Blake: I'd stop him!

Blake tried to shove her back but she didn't even move.

Yang: You can't even stop me!

Ryu: God Damnit Bell when will you understand that if you keep obsessing over this you'll just end up loosing everything else important to you! You can't just ignore people that care about you!!

He poked her on the forehead hard enough for her to fall back. Both Yang and Ryu walked over to her. Yang hugged Blake which surprised her before Ryu put his hand on her back and joined in the hug.

Yang: We're not asking you to quite everything.

Ryu: Just please, get some rest. Not just for yourself, but for the people who care about you the most.

They both let go as they started walking off.

Ryu: Plus, Sun was REALLY looking forward to the dance since he wanted to ask you out.

Yang: And if you do feel like coming out.

Ryu: 'That could be taken in many different ways.'

Yang: I'll save you a dance.

She winked before she started walking. Ryu tossed Blake the laser pointer before walking to were Yang was.

Ryu: I'm guessing you really didn't have a date.

Yang: I'm the D.J. I'll be to busy.

Ryu sniffed the air and looked at her.

Ryu: I smell an excuse.

She tried punching him but he dodged.

Ryu: Ha! Nice try. If a thunderbolt from Azure won't get me in my sleep, your slow punch won't get near me.

Yang: Hey!

They both laughed before Ryu stopped completely in his tracks.

Ryu: Oh My God I am such an idiot!!!

Yang: What is it?

Ryu: That idiot Jaune is gonna try asking Weiss out when he doesn't even realize someone else that he would like is right there! Sorry Yang I gotta go!!

Ryu teleported to where Jaune was and without warning he grabbed him by the hoodie.

Jaune: Can you not do that?! Give some sort of sign when you pop out of nowhere!

Ryu: Later. Look Jaune, someone else other than Weiss wants to go to the dance with you. So take my advice, let Weiss be and ask them.

Jaune: Wait who?

Ryu: If you are not the most oblivious guy I have ever known- PYRRHA YOU BLONDE BUFFOON!!!

Jaune: Pyrrha? What? No~ She must have at least a million other people asking her. Just like you.

Ryu: Jaune, you don't get it. Neither Pyrrha or I have been asked to the dance. When you have to much of a high status, you get to the point where people think that they're not good enough for us. Pyrrha appreciates the fact that you didn't know who she was and treated her like a normal person.

Jaune: Wait hold up. Your really telling me that YOU of all people don't have a date?

Ryu: I have one in mind, but yeah. It would really make her night if you actually asked her. So do us all a favor, and ask.

Jaune: Wow, I actually have a chance. Thanks Ryu! You're a life saver!

Jaune blitzed to team JNPR's dorm leaving a very satisfied Ryu.

Ryu: Ahhhh. And now, we have no problems.

???: You really know how to make bad situations better.

He turned around to see Aero leaning on a wall.

Ryu: What can I say? I just hate to see a likable idiot like Jaune not have a chance with someone who actually likes him.

Aero: Well aren't you nice.

Ryu: Well I've got Jaune's problem fixed, now I just gotta move into mine.

Aero: Whats that?

Ryu: Finding our who to ask to the dance.

Aero: Wait you actually don't have a date?

Ryu: No. If you heard what I said than you'd know why.

Aero: Well it does make sense.

Ryu: 'Well here goes nothing.' So I was actually wondering, what would you say if I asked you to be my date to the dance.

A flower appeared in his hand surprising Aero. There was a bit of silence before she blushed.

Aero: I'd say... what took you so long?

She took the flower and they both gave genuine smiles.

Ryu: Huh?

Erica: Ren? That's... actually a surprise.

Ryu: Wait what?

Karma: Well, Nora wanted to let Ren dance with someone else besides her, and I came to mind. I mean he's quite, a really chill guy, why would I say no?

Azure: I did not see that coming whatsoever.

Ryu: None of us did. So Azure, Erica, what about you two?

Azure smiled as they stood right next to each other. It took about 5 seconds for it all to click in Ryu's head.

Ryu: You two are really going together?!

Ryu was walking through the dance floor turning his head left and right until suddenly-

Ryu: Oh right, I can teleport.

Aero: No need. Right here.

He turned around and saw Aero in her own dress.

Ryu: Wow, the colors really suit you.

Aero: Well I just liked them so I thought why not?

Ryu: Well then, shall we?

He extended his hand out and she placed hers on it.

Aero: It would be my honer.

They both started dancing to the music.

Aero: I didn't think you were the kind of person who could dance this well.

Ryu: My family is rich famous and are invited to fancy parties all the time. I'd be a laughing stock if I didn't know my way on the dance floor.

He spun her around before bringing her back.

Aero: Well I guess you do have a point.

They danced for what seemed to be 5 minutes before Ryu noticed Ruby at the punch bowl alone.

Ryu: Sorry, but you mind if I cut this dance short?

Aero: Your friend's alone?

Ryu: Yup.

Aero: Go ahead, I don't mind.

She curtsied before they both parted.

Ryu: Whats up Little Red?

Ruby: Oh, you know, just the awkward girl at the punch bowl.

Ryu: So you didn't try asking anyone to the dance?

Ruby: Nope. I can't even move on the dance floor normally, much less in these torcher weapons called stilts.

Ryu: You manage to fight in a skirt don't you?

Ruby: Hey! It's a Combat Skirt.

Ryu: Difference being?

She started thinking before she finally answered.

Ruby: I have no idea.

They both laughed.

Ryu: So you enjoying yourself now?

Ruby: Well now I am. You really know how to lighten the mood.

Ryu: I aim to please. Now come on.

Ruby: Wha- AH!

He pulled Ruby onto the dance floor and they both started moving side to side.

Ruby: Hey, I did not give my consent to this!

Ryu: And I don't really care.

Ruby: I seriously cant move in these things!

Slight Time Skip!

Ryu: Ya see? Wasn't that better than standing alone?

Ruby: Yeah I guess it was. I just need some fresh air right now.

Ryu: Same.

They both walked outside and something caught Ryu's eye.

Ryu: Hey Ruby, is it me or is someone jumping roof to roof?

Ruby: Huh?

She looked and saw a woman wearing all grey jumping on top of the roofs.

Ruby: Yeah, maybe we should check it out.

They both started trailing her making sure not to be seen.

When they saw were she entered, it was a building the Atlas Soldiers were guarding. One thing in particular they saw, was that there were a few soldiers on the ground.

Ryu: They had one job.

Ruby: Come on!

Ruby used her scroll to get her locker for Crescent Rose.

Ryu: She might be at the top floor, so let's check their first.

They both ran fast into the building and used the elevator to get up. While they were waiting, an impatient Ryu was tapping his foot.

Ryu: Darn it cant this stupid thing go faster?!

Ruby: Maybe we should've ran.

When the door had finally opened the room was completely empty. Ruby was have slight problems moving because of the heels she was wearing.

Ruby: Hello?

Ryu: Come out, we know your in here.

The woman with the mask came out from behind a desk and stood up.

Ruby: You know, it's not a mascaraed party.

In a mere instant, Ryu's pupils turned into slits alarming him.

Ruby: So why don't you take of that mask and-

Ryu: Move now!

The girl took out a device and swung it creating glass that was floating mid air. Ryu grabbed Ruby and pulled her out of the way. He summoned Crescent Nightshade and spun it in front of him to block the glass. Ruby took the time to fire bullets but the girl blocked them. For some reason when she did, her clothing started glowing. She jumped back and created an bow and three arrows. She shot them at Ryu and they exploded as they hit the ground. They blew him back but he landed on his feet.

Ryu: Alright then.

He disappeared and kicked at her head. She avoided most of the attack but had taken a less grazing blow to the chin. The elevator opened revealing a man who needs no introductions.

James "Might be an idiot but is a pure Badass" Ironwood.

Ryu: James?

Ironwood: Ryu, you and your friend better have a good explanation for this.

Ryu: Well I'm glad your here cause-

He turned his head back to we're he THOUGHT the girl would be, but she was gone.

Ryu: Oh you have got to be kidding!
