Vol 1 (Ova 2)

Howdy, howdy, what I update this book and didn't forget about it for about a month lol. No, I wanted to get this ball moving with this story. There some moment I'm excited to write in the future for this story.

So, what the feel for this chapter because last chapter I clearly went semi to far...which wasn't that bad really. I could have done so much more damage I was being nice.

Well, this chapter is more of a Henry POV type thing. Just a little in-sight on him and what he thoughts of certain moments and others things. But mainly his relationship with a certain white hair character...heheh.

Also! WHO EXCITED FOR THE RWBY ANIME!!! We made boys!!! Now we can officially say...RWBY...is an anime lol.

I'm very interested to see some of the fan-art, fanfics, and more that comes out of this anime now. Since it seem a few things has been change. Also, Pyrrha IS BACK!!! And Weiss look so clean! I'm excited to see what they do. (I'm more excited to see my waifu Neo in that anime style LOL!)

There not much to say other then....

Enjoy.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Team ASHE the one of Beacon's new upcoming first-year team. And on this team was a boy by the name Henry Kai. Born and raised in Mistal and many believe he would go to Mistal Academy. But, when he decided to go to Beacon instead, shocking many people around him and even his family...who may or may not like the idea. But, let it go.

But Henry wasn't the only one who came to Beacon from Mistal. A few others were small-name students, but the other big-name was Pyrrha, someone he sees as a rival.

When he found out she was also coming, Henry at first was upset that he couldn't escape her shadow after many years of them competing against one another in the Mistal regional tournament. Always meeting her in the semi-finals and finals and kept losing to her over and over again....

*sigh* It takes its toll on someone like him who was always compared to her since they met as little kids.

He respects Pyrrha; he has no ill will towards her and saw her put in the work to get where she was at. There was no denying her drive to be the best, and her natural-born talent she polished made her so good. Henry will always be second fiddle to Pyrrha, but hopefully, one day, he could at least make her taste defeat or at least get close to it. Or at least see her lose. He often wants to know what it would be for her if she fought someone who gave her a challenge and could actually lose...and deep down, Henry believes he would never meet someone on Pyrrha's level...

That was until he met a boy named Allen King.

Allen was unique, to say the least. When he first met him and heard his name, he couldn't believe it, a name that was so famous he remembered hearing many things about that name when he was looking into Beacon and saw some of their best teams. Such as Team STRQ as one such team.

And there was a second-team that was just as famous as them. And on that team were Delroy King and Quad Que. And it was rumored they had a kid, but the two of them, one day disappeared from the face of Remnant, so Henry found that rumor hard to believe, but when he met this random dude doing the first day of Beacon and discovered his name was King it was a shocker.

But, to make things more interesting, Henry was put on his team and got to see Allen more up close. And watching how he led them and had him perform against the bigger Alpha Grimm they fought and how he planned and continued to think of other ways made him respect and gravitate toward Allen a lot more.

When Allen became the Team leader Henry was slightly upset he wasn't chosen, but doing that morning, he came to realize he didn't do anything to make him look like the leader type and accept his role as a team player, and Allen made it clear they are more than teammates, and they should help each other.

And watching the way Allen trains and pushes himself makes him realize Allen was made from the same cloth that Pyrrha was made from. Those who were born with tons of potential and skilled already and polished to the point that put them above people like him and others. They're just built differently.

It also helps that both are humble as hell. Pyrrha more than Allen, but Allen doesn't go around taunting his skill and talent to everyone and instead lets his skilled do his talking. But, make no mistake, Allen isn't going to let people walk over him.

Henry wondered why Allen was the way he was and so disconnected from others? At first, he believed it was the Pyrrha type thing. Wherever he was from, he was so skilled people put him on a pedestal and didn't talk to him like he was normal...oh no, that was far from the truth.

Henry and his other friends learn some of their leader's past, and to say he took his childhood for granted was an understatement. Not to have anyone there for him after some point, no one playing with him, no one to celebrate things with him...Henry decided he was going help Allen befriend this team and many more. He will never forget them and knows they're here for him, just like he's here for them.

Another member of his team was Silva Von Agier. What is with that name!? But, anyway, he and Silva have a respected relationship. The two are like the team's protector, or more accurately, they will do anything to protect the team's little sister Emelie. While Allen was seen as the glue that holds all of them together. Silva was clear that the older sister of the group would get on their case if they did certain things. Such as pulling pranks on each other...it was impossible to prank Allen, except one time when Emelie told Silva that Allen and him ate her chocolate-covered strawberries...Hell...Hell, he tells you.

And Silva was such a fun person to be around, even though he swears she stares at Allen weirdly and sometimes blushes...she wouldn't like their team leader...right? Right?

And then there was Emelie. The dub little sister on the team or the nickname Allen gave her the little giant. She was by far the shortest on the team, but her presence alone always lifts the team spirit no matter what she does. Let it be at awing something the other three on the team do. Or the fact she can throw a damn PUNCH!

Henry will never forget the one time he saw Cardin messing with Emelie because she had to wear a blindfold, and Henry was ready to put Cardin in a coffin once he saw him push her and made fun for not watching where she was going. Allen, Silva, and Him were ready to put him six feet under.

Then they saw Emelie get up, walk right up to Cardin and JUST SOCK HIM RIGHT IN THE FACE! Cardin was out COLD! Henry will never forget the other's face when that happens...the look of other shock and joy was on their face. And Emelie's response was to that,

Emelie: "Ow, my knuckle hurt."

Henry wishes he caught that on camera.

Henry also slowly befriended some of the other first-year teams. There was Team JNPR, with their team leader Jaune Arc...who dear oum...Henry found the guy a strange case. When he first met the dude, he was...underwhelming compared to others that Henry was used to. And it didn't help Henry has met people like Jaune, someone who wanted to be good but didn't understand he had to put in the work.

When Allen told him how Jaune got in, it helped Henry understand the dude slightly better. Someone who wasn't given the fair shot like someone like him and is trying to live a dream. Even though he believes both Allen and Silva's choice was harsh...he understands not everyone's life was easy, and their way of growing up is much different from how he views things.

But, things have gotten better for Jaune after something happened with team CRDN, and thank Oum, he stopped hanging out with them. And fix his relationship with his team and mainly Pyrrha, so things are slowly getting better for him...not only Jaune and his leader wasn't so dense when it came to the girls they liked. He hopes Allen and Jaune tell Ruby and Pyrrha how they feel because my Oum!

The other team members, Nora and Ren, were interesting and seemed to have been friends since they were kids. And he has no doubt those two have something going on between them! He does feel bad for that poor boy Ren though; Nora has too much energy and puts nearly everyone to shame...unless your name is Emelie on a sugar high...never again.

And Pyrrha, it's funny that both he and she were considered the best were they from and neither of them became a team leader and to be honest he rather has it this way, they both playing the support and valuable role.

Then it was their sister team, Team RWBY. A team led by a girl named Ruby Rose, whose mother was the leader of one of Beacon's best teams. She was so fun to be around and somehow caught the feeling of his team leader Allen, which was a shocker seeing. He would have thought at; first, Blake seemed more like his type, but Henry guesses Ruby's outlook on things, and her sweet personality attracts Allen. He will admit the two of them would make an attractive couple if they get together.

Another member on Team RWBY was Blake, someone who he can't put his finger on it. But, she seems to be hiding something? He swears whenever he looks at her, sometimes her bow twitches, and then there was that time Allen beat all of Cardin and his friend in the cafeteria for picking on a Faunus. Her question afterward...it sounded...so weird? He didn't know why? Maybe she had a friend before coming to Beacon that was a Faunus and treated unfairly...or she is a Faunus herself...Nah!

Yang was a character; he swore her puns would be his death, for often, she did it. But, she was skilled, and she loved her little sister Ruby. And he feels Yang knows Ruby has a crush on Allen and hasn't said anything about it because, well...Yang learns Allen had what it takes to protect her and seem like a cool dude. When you get your butted hand to your little sister's future boyfriend, you just have to watch how things play now between them. Henry wonders if Yang is making bets with the others on the team so see how long it takes for those two to get together.

And then there was Weiss Schnee, oh boy....Henry had a soft spot for Weiss for some reason. She didn't get along with many at; first. He guessed being from Atlas would do those types of things to people. And it was clear she did not get along with Allen and Ruby at all. And at first, Henry believes this might be an issue when it comes to things for the team and trying to be friends with that team, but he sees her slowly get better. Even if it took Allen to basically somewhat be a little mean to her and kick her ass, he is currently meeting Weiss at a bench on one of the balconies of Beacon.

Henry: "So, how are you holding that L my leader gave you."

Weiss: "Jeez, I'll admit I completely underestimate Allen, he is a lot more skilled than he let on. And he doesn't pull his punches."

Henry: "Yeah, that's my leader for you. Which now leaves him and Pyrrha the only two undefeated left in the class."

Weiss: "And here I thought no one would be able to match Pyrrha and maybe me. He sure stands by, he can smack talk and back it up. Most people like him who are that confident are the ones who are the easiest to beat."

Henry: "I would say really you kept antagonizing him really so its your own fault is that."

Weiss: "You're not going let me let this down are you?"

Henry: "NoPe." Henry chuckled.

Weiss: "Well, at least you also have a strong leader leading you guys."

Henry: "Ah, so you have grown to Ruby being your team leader."

Weiss: "I'm...adjusting to it, I'm slowly learning she has strength and weakness. I mean really I think she is the only person beside Pyrrha who can beat your leader."

Henry: "Ah so, you see it too, huh?"

Weiss: "I think it's impossible not to see Allen and Ruby clearly both have something for each other. I will admit I find it cute."

Henry: "I just hope that Bunny girl...Velvet I think her name was, doesn't catch feelings for Allen. The last thing we need is a love mess like that."

Weiss: "Actually, I think I heard Velvet has a boyfriend."

Henry: "Excuse me?"

Weiss: "Yeah, he was supposed to be one of the better second year students and supposedly he made it all the way to the finals last year in the Vytal festival tournament."

Henry: "Ooooh...so how much crap Allen is going to be in. Should I warn him?"

Weiss: "Who knows, but I would like to see Allen take on runner up for the Second year."

Henry: "My money on Allen."

Weiss: "I'll take the second year."

The two started to laugh a bit.

Henry: "Well, I can't let my leader complete one up me heh. Maybe we should spar with Weiss." He smirks at her.

Weiss: *rolls her eyes with a smile* "I got the feeling I could take you."

Henry: *chuckled* "Oh is Miss Princess getting cocky again?"

Weiss slightly shoved Henry, and they both chuckled. The two enjoy the rest of the sunset breeze and company.

We cut to another day, and Henry is practicing his swings and strikes with his Spear in the training room. As he practiced his swing, he shadow trained, thinking of a shadow clone he was sparring against.

As he does a few more strikes, Weiss walks in and watches him for a bit. He stops what he is doing for a bit and sees who it was, and when he sees it is Weiss, he smiles a bit.

Weiss: "I see you're here once again. I swear you and your team and Pyrrha are in here more than other first years."

Herny: "Ah hello Miss Schnee." Henry bow.

Wiess: "Please don't." Weiss rolled her eyes.

Henry: "Sorry. *chuckled* And, what can I say, Allen seeing him working just makes the rest of us get better, we don't want him to carry the load of the team."

Weiss: "Well, in class not counting Allen and Pyrrha. You all have the highest one on one win rate and lowest loss."

Henry: "I still get my butt handed to me anytime I challenge Pyrrha. *sigh.*"

Weiss: "I'm sure you will get there soon or later. You just have to keep working like you said. I saw how you and Pyrrha fight against one another in the tournaments. You both were fairly even to me."

Henry: "Maybe in the past but I notice as the years went on Pyrrha has made the gap between us just bigger and bigger. And I deeply feel like she would soon see herself as someone who is truly untouchable in terms of power and skilled. And I don't know where that will lead too, and I frankly don't want to lead to anything bad."

Weiss: "Why do you want to beat Pyrrha so badly? I understand you guys are rivals? I think? But, is there more reason to why you want to beat Pyrrha?"

Henry: "*sigh* At first, I wanted to beat Pyrrha because it was for recognition by my parents. They always love Pyrrha way more than they love me. Always comparing the two of us, heh. I swear they wish Pyrrha was their child then me for how they love talking about her, so at first, it was out of jealousy...."

Weiss: "Henry..."

Henry: "But then I started noticing something, less people and less people would talk to Pyrrha normal. It was always let take a photo here, or brag to others they were cool with Pyrrha Nikos. Or let me be in one of your magazine covers, etc. I saw Pyrrha wasn't being treated normally anymore...hell really I don't think Pyrrha had friends outside of me when we would talk about things that wasn't about training or tournaments. To be honest...Pyrrha doesn't know what fun really is."

Weiss: "She doesn't?"

Henry: "If you ever get a chance ask Pyrrha what she does for fun? What does she see as fun? Or do, for fun. And I promise for someone even like you, it's gonna make you realize how much control her family and those around really did with her."

Weiss: "I never really thought about it that way...."

Henry: "People like her and Allen are the same."

Weiss: "Really?"

Henry: "Both of them may have HUGELY different upbringing, but when you ask either one of them what they do for fun, most of the time your answer is going to be reading, training, learning something new, training, and even more training. That all those two know."

Weiss: "Hmm....now you said that...I can see where you are coming from."

Henry: "So, my reason for wanting to beat Pyrrha has changed. In fact, I don't care if I'm the one who beats her, I want someone in our friend group to beat her."

Weiss: "Really? Why?"

Henry: "As, I'm happy to see people treating Pyrrha well, normal for once. Deep down Pyrrha made not say it but in terms of skilled no one to her has been able hold a candle to her, she loves everyone especially Jaune, but it term of the skilled aspect to have no one to truly push you to your breaking point or give you the taste of defeat it that one piece that someone missing deep down to understand their not untouchable."

Weiss: "And I have a good feeling who that person is."

Henry: "Yep, and that person is Allen. Someone who just or if not more works in just like Pyrrha. Both of them are two of the most hard working and talented people I have seen. And being around them...has made me better in my eyes. Watching them and seeing how they got to the level of skill they got to today...it drives me to work as well. They both are the epitome just because you have talent won't carry all the way."

Weiss: "...True...."

Henry: "It's something my leader told us, and it has stuck with me right away and made sense. Talent is something you make bloom, instinct is something you polish."

Weiss: "Wow...you really have a lot of respect for your leader? Speaking of where is he and your team? I thought you guys would all be in here?"

Henry: "Well, Allen is probably near your leader Ruby and watching her devour a thing of cookies or watching her play some type of game."

Weiss: "I'll believe it."

Henry: "And Silva and Emelie are spending time together, I really do believe Emelie sees Silva like a big sister figure. And sometimes I swear those two see each other as something more?"

Weiss: "Really? Did Emelie not have siblings back where she came from?"

Henry: "To be honest I don't know. Emelie hasn't brought up much of her past and she told us it is a touchy topic so we don't bring it up."

Weiss: "What about Silva?"

Henry: "Well, she does. Silva told us she has at least 4. She said one of them is only like 2-3 years younger than her, and the other three are little kids. They are the sweetest and she wouldn't replace them with anyone. They all look up to her like she is this super amazing and big hero. *chuckled* From what we got when she sent word back she passed the Beacon entrance exam, and they freaked out and sent her letters saying she was the coolest and greatest."

Weiss smiles at this and hears about Silva's siblings... which reminds her a little of her own home and siblings...Weiss got a little sad thinking about her home but shook it off and focused back on Henry.

Henry: "I remember one of the letters from the youngest one if I remember correctly told Silva hopefully she hopes Silva brings home a boyfriend next time she comes back."

Weiss: "*chuckled* Oh...my..oum. You're kidding."

Henry: "Nope. All of us laughed in the room when she read it out to us. Her face was so flustered. Me and Emelie tease her for the rest of the day about it."

Weiss: "You guys are down right evil."

Henry: "Don't worry it was only that day. Consider it payback for her almost breaking my arm."

Weiss: "You can't blame Emelie, she looks so cute and innocent."

Henry: "And that's how she gets you."

Wiess: "What about you? Do you have any siblings?"

Henry: *get a little sad.* "I..I sadly don't. I'm an only child."

Weiss: "Oh, I'm sorry Henry I didn't mean-"

Henry: "No, no it's ok you didn't know. Given how we treat Emelie and all." He looks down at his Spear. "My entire life I was set to be better than others around me. Always told to aim for the top, nothing less. And while I did. Soon Pyrrha appeared. No matter how hard I try she was just always better than me. And like I said earlier, at first I was angry, being compared to someone like that."

Weiss: "...."

Henry: "And then Allen shows up. Someone who I believe might be on or above Pyrrha level. Like I said, doing one of our earlier talks, I want to be a team leader, but after I gave it some thoughts about it...I didn't earn that spot and I'm fine with that. I never want something just handed to me. I want to earn it. People like Allen and Pyrrha weren't born with natural talent; they just worked hard and got that this far while getting better. And meeting this team has helped form bonds I never thought I would have. So, I plan to go somewhere much bigger than them! I want to be there for them and show them and everyone Henry Kai got your back no matter what!"

Weiss smiled. She then grabs her rapier. And went on the opposite end of the training field. Henry looked confused.

Wiess: "Let's both aim for the stars."

Both got in a fighting stance.

We fast forward a bit later doing nighttime after the whole Blake fiasco.

Henry: "And now you see Blake like the rest of us is no different just because she has cat ears."

Wiess: "Ugh, I get it. I screwed up."

Henry: "Just have to remind you, before you go and judge someone based on others things, get the full story from their point and try to understand why they did it. Not everyone had it easy like someone like me and a little of you."

Weiss: "So, how did you all take the news? Since you all did help out and all."

Henry: "We didn't care and didn't change anything."

Weiss: "Wait, what?"

Henry: "Nope, that was Blake of the past, we have been around her and you all long enough to see people can change and attempt to change. Just like you're changing from being a typical Schnee."

Wiess: "I see your point." She crossed her arms.

Henry: "I guess it can help for the fact Silva was also a part of the White fang so that made it much easier to shallow seeing how caring she is."

Wiess: "Wait Silva-"

Henry: "And before you even think about saying anything or judging her she is not a criminal. She joined them because it helped support her family. Weiss, take a minute and think...if you were in either Silva or Blake shoes, with a family...given the treatment you were receiving would you not nearly join them too?"

Weiss took a minute to think. She put her down and looked off in the distance.

Henry: "Actually, I didn't mind hugely because after finding out about Allen and Silva's past a bit, I realized something...it made me realize my hardship is nowhere near as bad as theirs."

Weiss: "You think that?"

Henry: "As much shit I will give my family there are still people around me and some in my family who still support me and are happy for me. I had a home to come back to give me hugs and didn't have to worry about much about the outside world. I still had the right set of people to keep me on the right track, I had good role models, and got to live somewhat of a good childhood compared to the rest of my team. They each went through hardship and pain I will never know."

Weiss: "I can somewhat see where you are coming from...just how different were things are for you and them when it comes to how you view things."

Henry: "Well, Emelie from what little she has told us, it is clear it wasn't the best living place, coupled with the fact she blind and given her sizes and how timid she is around people. I can't even imagine what her past was like before coming to Beacon."

Wiess: "Emelie she is so sweet and kind...she shouldn't be treated the way she was treated just because she doesn't have what we have...sight."

Henry: "Then there's Silva, who has been discriminated against her entire life and had to help raise a family. And from what me and Allen most likely have put together I hope I'm wrong...I think her parents are out of the picture."

Weiss: "What makes you so sure?!?"

Henry: "Well, given the fact she talks about her siblings and rarely EVER speaks about her parents and when she does get on that topic she quickly moves on. So, yeah I'm hoping I'm wrong but given her faunus life and what we know about them, she was also a part of the white fang at a young age. And this team in general...I have a safe bet she has been the sole provider for her family or the main income."

Wiess: "I...I can't even imagine how it must be like for her...I guess I was too judgmental on Blake given I don't know what she's been through...I just felt angry....given what has happened to my family."

Henry: "I can slowly understand your anger at the White fang but we can't judge one person on a group of people of the same race. Not everyone is the same...how would you feel if me and everyone you know judge you based on the sole fact you're a Schnee and nothing more."

Wiess: "I..." Weiss looked away.

Henry: "Actually, treat people how you want to be treated."

Wiess: "*sigh* you're right...I have to be...no...I will be better."

Henry: "That's the spirit."

Wiess: "Wait? You said your entire team went through hardship you couldn't comprehend, what about Allen? You didn't mention him?"

Henry: "Allen...dear Oum. I don't think I would even be alive or made this far if I went through the amount of crap he went through."

Weiss: "That bad?"

Henry: "Weiss, tell me do you have siblings?"

Weiss: "I do? I have an older sister in the Atlas military! She is the best and she inspires me." Weiss was smiling while she was talking about her older sister.

Henry: "Any others? Like little siblings?"

Weiss: "Well...I...ummm."

Henry: "Weiss..."

Weiss: "Ok fine! I have a little brother... he's back at home with...my dad and...mom."

Henry raised an eyebrow but didn't question anymore; given what he does know about the Schnee and Weiss attitude, her family life at home wasn't the greatest, probably.

Henry: "Well, I want to try and imagine how it would feel, as a little girl imagining your older sister, your dad, and your mom just ending up leaving, never coming back."

Weiss: "I..." Weiss began to think about it.

Henry: "And then imagine you end up losing your little brother, out of your power."

Weiss: "...."

Henry: "Exactly. The only difference is Allen didn't have siblings. He has been alone his entire life. Depending on himself, doing things for himself...can you say you did any of that at a young age?"

Weiss: "I...no...no I can't. I always had maids and butlers there for me...no matter what...."

Henry: "Exactly...Allen had none of that. He only himself...Allen in my eyes...is broken."

Weiss: "Broken?"

Henry: "Yes, Allen never really had bonds growing up, if he did they were either taken away or didn't last long enough to keep them or form that bond. Where his first actual friend. For Oum sake the dude didn't know what a hug felt like."

Weiss: "...That..."

Henry: "Isn't right...I know. Allen is a cold jerk sometimes because that's all he knows how, and I believe Ruby's warm and loving personality is the perfect person for Allen. Someone who can help Allen see the positive in life and loving energy. It also helps that both of them are greeks about something, heh."

Weiss: "I guess you're right about that."

Henry: "I couldn't do it. At the age things happen for Allen...I don't believe I could stay strong and sane for this long and act somewhat normal."

Weiss: "If you call that normal?"

Henry: "I want Allen to experience a normal life for once. I want him to understand he doesn't need to have walls around him and he has people who won't judge him, for who he was and what he grew up around. Allen is a product of Remnant's harsh and cold truth world. Him and Silva. Both had been hell and lost so much up to this point but to see them trying to move on and wanting to be better. I want them to see and understand we are not going anywhere and where to help him and each other. We are family and family help each other when they need it."

Weiss: "You're a good person Henry." Weiss smiled.

Henry: "I try to be...we should get back inside." Henry got off the rail. "It's getting late and I'm sure we are both extremely tired."

Henry and Wiess begin to make their way toward the door.

Weiss: "Oh Henry, hang on."

Henry: "Hmmm?"

Weiss then kisses Henry on the cheek. Henry blushes.

Weiss: "Thank you for the talks...I really do enjoy our talks...they help...a lot. Have a good night."

Weiss went through the door and waved goodbye to Henry.

Henry stood there for a minute and touched the spot. Wiess kissed him and smiled.

Henry: "Wow..."

End of Chapter.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And that the chapter! Funny enough this is the longest chapter for this story?

Word type: 5,020

Told you this chapter wasn't that bad. It was something simple and something I wanted to do, with Henry. Henry he is a unique character. I think I made him the most understanding and most down to earth of the character on Team ASHE. I wanted a guy who was skilled but someone who can understand there are just those better then him at things and want the best for everyone.

So, I wanted him give him a ova driving into his character a bit more or a little in-sight on what he thinks.

So what next? Well we still got about a 3 more OVA and then next one was an interesting one and one I been interesting to write and I'm a little excited to write since not many OC or Male reader stories do the next OVA a lot. It has been done but it rare.

Tell me what you think? What you like? What you dislike? What you think might happen next? Etc.

Until next time later and thanks for reading.

RWBY is own by Rooster Teeth.

OC's belong to me.
