[Volume 0~chapter 8: bored train ride]

1 month after the battle on the bridge, me and summer where on a train heading to vale.
Summer had changed her usual clothing to a pair of black jeans, a white undershirt with a black dress shirt with the top 3 buttons undone.
She repurposed her white cloak into a coat tail for her outfit, but she can easily convert it back to her normal cloak with a small adjustment.
She mainly user her coat tail to cover her scythe/swords which she apparently named "spiderlily" and her scythe/sub-machine gun named "white rose"
She had combed her hair up to be spiky, which she also dyed to the color white, and she was wearing a pair of sunglasses.

(Spiderlily. There are 2 of them)

(Whiterose. It is essentially crescent rose, except instead of a high caliber sniper rifle, it is a fully automatic sub-machine gun with the option of silencer)

Me?
My clothing wasn't so different from my usual clothing.
Black jeans, black long sleeve shirt, and a white sleeveless cropduster with a hood and my fingerless gloves.
I was also wearing my goggles on my forehead and my mask around my neck, my knife on the back of my waist, and my hood was up covering my ears.

(This is the mask, just no eye patch)

The reason we where riding the train was because summer was afraid being on a bullhead has more opportunity to run into her family or people she knew before and didn't wanna deal with that.
Summer and I have become close friends, bordering lovers for a while now.
The reason why I say bordering as lovers is because I'm a freshly turned 17 year old as of last week and summer is a 38 Year old woman with a 15 year old daughter she hasn't seen in years.
So it's mostly because of age I can't officially call her my lover, but we are lovers.

I sighed out bored.
"Why is traveling like this so boring..." I mumble.
"Cause you like adventure like me" said summer.
"Adventure my ass, last week you jumped onto the table cause you saw a spider on the floor" I say as I look at summer with a smirk.
"I had a bad experience with a deathstalker and gained a bit of aracnaphobia"said summer with a blush of embarrassment on her face.
I chuckled at her expression, causing her to blush more.
"Ok, whatever you say sum-" said shirou, only to stop himself when he saw 2 people jump off the cliff the train is passing and land on the train car infront of ours.

I looked at summer and we both nodded at each Other.
We stood up out of our seats and walked towards the next Car.
While walking, summer put her cloak on in her old way and pulled out a white version of my mask.
I pulled my mask up over my mouth and nose, pulled my goggles over my eyes, and pulled my hood up.
We walked into the next car and saw a man in a black suit with red accents and a red rose sown into the back of his jacket with black and red hair.
He had 2 bull horns coming out of his forehead, and a grim mask over his eyes.
On his waist was a katana with a rifle sheath.

The person with him was someone who made my blood boil.
She had black hair with a black bow on top, yellow eyes, and was wearing a mixture of black and white clothing.
On her back was a black cleaver.
It was Blake.

"Move to the next car" said the male.
"What about the passengers?" Blake asked.
"They're a necessary sacrifice" said the male.
"Adam..." said Blake.
That name...
He couldn't be the same Adam I knew when I lived on menagerie, could it?
I took this time to project kanshou into his left hand.
"Yeah, that's not gonna happen" I say loud enough for them to hear.
Both of them turn to me and summer gripping the hilts of their weapons.
Summer pulls out one of her spiderlily's in sword mode and wields it in her right hand.

"Well well well, guess we have some company Blake" said Adam as he takes a step forward.
"If you think we're gonna let you harm innocent lives just for some stupid dust, then your dead wrong" said summer.
"Funny, dead is what your gonna be in a minute" said Adam as he started to unsheath his sword.
A spark of electricity flew through the air before I disappeared.
Adam's eyes widen and unsheathed his sword fast and spun around while raising his hand up sideways.
I appeared behind him with kanshou raised above my head with both of my hands on the handle.
I slam kanshou down in a vertical slash at Adam.

Adam blocked my attach by raising his sword up horizontally to intercept kanshou.
Our blades clashed and Adam felt the strength and pressure behind kanshou's swing.
It felt like a truck ran into him at full speed.
He was pushed back, and so was shirou.
When shirou landed, he quickly rushed at Adam.
Adam and shirou engaged in single sword combat.
Each one of them slashing at each other and blocking each other's attacks.

Meanwhile, with summer and Blake...
Blake swung her cleaver at summer who blocked with spiderlily, and countered with a slash of her own, that was blocked by Blake's cleaver.
Blake split her gambal shroud into her katana in her right hand and her cleaver in her left.
Using her dual wielding style, Blake thought she would get the advantage over summer, but summer grabbed the second spiderlily off her waist and countered with her own duel wielding.

During their blade clash Adam got a strong slash in that shattered kanshou in Shirou's hand, and threw him off balance.
Adam took this opportunity to do a horizontal slash for shirou's neck.
Shirou couldn't use his projection technique because it took 6 seconds to do a projection, at most he had 3 seconds to react.

He felt a surge of energy run through his body and formed a glowing blue circuit pattern on every inch of his body, just like when he activates full cowl.
In his mind is the image of kanshou and bakuya.
The married twin swords that where forged without a purpose at the hands of a mistralian blacksmith 1000 years ago.
They're construct.
Their material.
Their durability.
He can see it all and needs to replicate them perfectly.

'1'

His silver eyes glowed silver with a hint of orange at the edge of their glow.
A new energy flew through his body and the circuit design over his body.
Words appeared in his head.
Their meaning he didn't know.
But... He knew the words that came into his head had to be said.
"Trace-" began shirou as the new energy that was flowing through his body went into his hands.

"-on." shirou finished saying as the energy gathered in his hands overflowed and exploded out of his palms.
The yellow energy that exploded from shirou's palms formed into a ball of yellow energy before it extended into a certain shape in both hands.
Shirou grasped the energy in his hands and it faded away just as quickly as it appeared and in its place was kanshou and bakuya.
These kanshou and bakuya looked more real and looked more stronger than his previous crude projections.
Lightning cracked in the air as the circuit design faded away leaving no mark it was even there.

Shirou raised kanshou up and blocked Adams horizontal slash and forced it to go up and over his head as he raised bakuya up, ready to bring it down in a slash.
Adam leapt back and avoided the slash from bakuya.
When he landed, he was shocked that I created a new pair of swords.
My body quickly adapted to the power that ran through my body when I projected these kanshou and bakuya, and is using it to my advantage.
I threw kanshou and bakuya at Adam and they spun like boomerangs and flew at him.
Adam deflected both swords so they went past him and rushed at shirou, believing he's unarmed.
Shirou used his new form of projection and projected a second pair of kanshou and bakuya.
Shirou clashed blades with Adam at a fast pace, and every time kanshou or bakuya shattered, he would simply project another kanshou or bakuya to take its place.

Blake transformed her katana half of gambal shroud into its gun form, while keeping her cleaver half ready for cqc and started shooting at summer.
Summer simply twirled both of her spiderlily infront of her blocking the bullets as she ran forward.
Blake ran out of ammo in her clip, so she put her gambal shroud back together into its complete form.
While Blake was unguarded, summer swung her 2 spiderlily's horizontally, with each one going in a different direction at her, only for her to dissapear.
'A shadow clone?' Summer questioned mentally as she rushed at where Blake reappeared.
Summer raised her left spiderlily and prepared to swing it down at Blake.
Blake raised her gambal shroud horizontal to block my vertical slash.
I pressed the button under my thumb on my left spiderlily and transformed it from its sword form into its scythe mode and swung it down at the shocked Blake.
The blade of the scythe went over her weapon while the small pole of the scythe made contact with Blake's cleaver.
Summer pulled her left spiderlily back, pulling Blake's gambal shroud out of Blake's hands, and thrusting her right spiderlily for Blake's gut.
Blake let her shadow clone take the hit and dodge back, while summer transformed her left spiderlily into sword mode and chased Blake.

Shirou and Adam stopped their blade clash of high speeds and gained distance between each other.
Adam was out of breath and growled at shirou.
Shirou was slightly fatigued but it was fading away quickly.
"27 times... I've disarmed you 27 times... who the hell are you!" Growled out Adam.
"I'm merely a timberwolf faunus who won't let innocent people get hurt, unlike you who's a bull in a China shop" said shirou and Adam snarled and charged at shirou.
Adam swung he's sword in 2 diagonal slashes, but shirou evaded the first and blocked the second before pushing Adam back.
"I wonder what sienna would do if she heard that you where robbing a dust train and blowing it up with explosives while there are innocent faunus in harm's way" shirou said while Adam sheathed his sword and the red on his hair and clothing glowed.

"You shut up you..." started Adam as his glowing got brighter.
'So, he's decided to finally use his semblance, moonslice' shirou thought as he dispelled the kanshou and bakuya in his hands and instead activated full cowl.
He reeled his right hand back and kept his hand open as blue electricity cackled around his body.
As the energy grew, his right palm began to glow blue.
"...You fucking stray!!" Adam said, finishing his sentence from before as he unsheathed his sword and sent a horizontal slash at me as the world lost its color and faded to black and red as red rose petals flew behind him as a horizontal slash wave flew at me.
My body wasn't affected by the drainage of color and instead, the energy in my right palm started to cackle electricity, so I'll call out the name of my attack.
"Lunar wolf's crescent strike!" I called out as I slashed my right hand at Adam causing my own slash attack in the shape of a crescent moon to launch at him.
My attack easily broke through his and hit him with enough strength that he flew back.
I also didn't know the amount of power I put into the attack or the damage radius of the attack cause everything above 4 and 1/2 feet got cut off, making this a convertible train car.
The force from the attack made Adam slam into the remainder of wall that's left.
I ran at him with lightning speed and picked him up by his shirt collar while he's dazed.
"I think this is your stop" I said as i threw him off the train.

Summer clashed with Blake to the point Blake was exausted, but both stopped when Adam was thrown off the side of the train by shirou.
And Blake collapsed from exhaustion.
Shirou and summer walked up to the unconscious Blake.
"So, what do we do with her?" Summer asked.
"Lets be generous and sit her down in the next car while we head back to our seats" shirou said as he picked up Blake.
They went to the next car and laid her down on a few empty seats in the back while nobody noticed.
They changed their outfits back to the way they where before they dealt with Adam and Blake and pulled their masks down to around their necks.
They then went 1 more car ahead and sat back down in their seats.
"Well, that was interesting" said summer with a content smile on her face.
"Yeah, it was" said shirou as he wrapped a arm around summers shoulder and looked out the window.
