Sahara mayling

Personality: Sahara doesn't care much for the feelings of other people, it's not that's creul or that she wants people to feel bad she just puts herself first and doesn't care who she has to trample over to get what she wants. She was raised in atlas and trays the Faunus like she treats everyone else which is to say she doesn't much care for them. Despite all this she's actually pretty nice to those she care for or has to be nice to so small bonuses
Semblance: shadow dancer (she can create a afterimage made out of her shadow that will damage her opponents however she can only use this on attacks when her weapon is in melee mode and attacks with go fight through her afterimage)
Weapon: a thin scythe that transforms into a shotgun
Fighting style: she's a rushdown type of girl preferring to attack her opponents with fast and powerful attacks, her ranged weapon mode is rarely used and if it is she's probably still not too far away from her opponent
Backstory: Sahara grew up in atlas under the care of a wealthy family, she was adopted so she did everything she could to outperform her older siblings and when that didn't work she turned to more devious methods in the end however she was still underperforming in the business classes her siblings excelled out so she transferred to combat school where she flourished.  Her family did not agree with her choice to be a hunter but wanting her gone from their world, they agreed to send her to beacon.
Sexuality: straight

Rowan Steel

Personality: Rowan is very upbeat and tends not to dwell of subjects that lead down negative paths, he wants to help people and make them happy but understands that he can't do that for everyone, he takes every lose especially hard and has a bit of depression problem that he doesn't let many see.
Semblance: empathy (it's a pretty basic semblance, he can feel the emotions of others and if he makes contact with them he can use his own emotions to affect theirs, if he really wants he can amplify the way he and another person feels by creating a sort of feedback loop between himself and someone else)
Weapon: dual rapiers that turn into a musket
Fighting style: despite his upbeat personality he is a much calmer battler than one would expect, he focuses more on dealing minor blows to his opponent while tiring them out before delivering a final blow.
Backstory: Rowan was never the type to fit in back in his home country of mistral, he was always the kid that hung out with Faunus children or was too nice to strangers. He always wanted out of his small town because of this and went off to combat school as soon as he could, his school was attacked by Grimm however and almost all of the student body was killed, the rest including Rowan had to fight for their lives until hunters arrived to save them.  For his bravery at the fall of his school he was given entrance to beacon but the event still has lingering effects on him
