A/N: here's chapter 8 for ya guys and this is the final chapter for Volume 1. Hopefully ya guys enjoyed Volume 1.

Inside the Training Hall

Jaune is standing in front of training dummy with his sword in his right hand, sweat dripping from his forehead and his breath has started to quicken. As he then jumps towards the dummy and spins in mid air however as he hits the dummy the sword slips from his grips as it spins across the floor. "Damn it, still not good enough". Jaune mutters to himself and as he goes to pick up his sword, he sees someone else pick it and hand it to him. Jaune looks up to see Pyrrha who gives him a heart warming smile as a faint blush creeps up onto Jaune's cheeks as Jaune then says. "Thank you Pyrrha". With Pyrrha then asking. "Jaune I understand that you might not like me asking you about training all the time but this time I have request"?

Jaune gestures for Pyrrha to continue as she does. "I wish to spar with you since I've always found sparring with another person better than fighting a dummy". Jaune lets out a sigh as he replies. "Sure thing but we can do that tomorrow cause I'm exhausted". Pyrrha excitedly nods as she responds. "Okay I'll see you tomorrow after school". However as Pyrrha turns to leave Jaune asks her to stop and he says. "Hey um can you help me with some homework, I'm doing good with Grimm studies and weapon stuff but everything else I'm not too hot on". Pyrrha giggles and agrees to help Jaune.

The Next Day

Teams RWBY and JNPR are all walking to class together but before they can get to class they hear over the school's tanoy system. "Could Teams RWBY and JNPR come to Professor Ozpin's office. That's Teams RWBY and JNPR to Professor Ozpin's office". Both teams look at each other in confusion as Jaune sighs while saying. "I guess we should go and see what Professor Ozpin wants from us".

Both teams exit an elevator and into a large room that looks like the interior of a clock, Ruby looks over at the grey haired man sitting behind a desk. "I'm sorry for whatever trouble my sister has caused Professor Ozpin". Ruby says as Yang looks at Ruby in shock as Professor Ozpin chuckles a little as he responds. "Miss Xiao Long hasn't done anything wrong though from what I hear she may want to pay more attention in class". Yang looks down at the floor slightly ashamed, but she then lets out a groan however before she can reply Jaune asks. "I'm assuming you asked us here for a reason Professor Ozpin"? The grey haired man nods as he answers. "Indeed Mr Arc since I believe that you two teams have the most potential this year, I would like to send you on the first missions this year".

Ruby and Nora look excited and both let out a small squeal as Blake asks the important questions. "So what kind of mission will we be going on and where are we going"? Ozpin stands up from his desk and replies. "Both missions will be standard extermination mission, you will be tasked to eliminate Grimm prowling near villages. Team RWBY you girls will be heading to the Mistral border, while Team JNPR will be heading to the Vacuo border. These mission will not only give you experience in killing Grimm but also let you see the world around you, I hope this mission will open your eyes and let you know what important work Huntsman and Huntresses do".

Pyrrha raises her hand and asks. "Professor Ozpin if I may ask? Why not send qualified Huntsman and Huntresses in those areas on these missions instead"? Ozpin turns his gaze to Pyrrha and replies. "A good question Miss Nikos and to answer your question because all the Huntsman and Huntresses in those areas have gone silent. Though the areas you are going to are only inhabited by Grimm you have seen before like Beowulfs and Ursa".

Ruby gives Professor Ozpin a sault as she says. "Don't worry Professor because Team RWBY is on the case. Okay Team RWBY lets get ready. Banzai"! Yang and Blake yell 'Banzai' as Weiss shakes her head at her team's behaviour however unbeknownst to everyone she does have a small smile on her face. Jaune then says. "Okay Professor we'll see the mission through". Ozpin smiles at both teams as he says. "Good I know you won't disappoint me, you transport is waiting in the courtyard". Every member of the two teams nods and leaves the room, Ozpin walks to the large window at the end of the room where he overlooks the Beacon courtyard and most of Vale.

Just then someone else enters the room and says. "Professor may I have a word with you"? Ozpin turns around to see a woman with a light brown complexion with shoulder length brown hair and brown eyes.

"Of course Miss Amber what is the matter"? Ozpin asks as Amber then replies. "I got a weird feeling when I was in Vale yesterday almost like I was being watch and it was like that person knows what I am". Ozpin nods as begins to think and then he replies. "Let me call a few friends of mine and we can discuss proper measures because if someone other than you and myself knows about you then we must take the utmost caution".

A/N: and that concludes the final chapter of Volume 1, hopefully ya guys enjoyed Volume 1 and I'll get to work on Volume 2 as quick as I can.
