A/N: here's chapter 5 for ya guys

In Vale

Ruby, Yang, Blake, Pyrrha, Nora and Ren are currently walking through the town of Vale talking with one another. "I swear if Professor Port is this boring all year round, I'm going to fail his class". Ruby says as she hangs her head with Yang letting out a chuckle as she wraps an arm around her sister's shoulder with Blake shaking her head as she replies. "There's always the library with books on Grimm". Ruby visually recoils when Blake mentions 'library' as Pyrrha giggles and questions. "Ruby, you know that you are going to have study right"? Ruby slowly nods her head as she replies. "But that doesn't make it any less boring". The whole group laughs as they stop outside a small diner.

"Hey let's grab something to eat". Yang suggests as everyone nods in approval as they enter diner and quickly find a table. As soon as they sit down Nora almost yells. "Guys I just remembered a cool story about what happened to me and Ren on our way to Beacon"! Everyone looks over to Nora, who is sitting in the middle of Ren and Pyrrha, as she continues. "So! There we were, in the middle of the night...". Ren quickly corrects. "It was day". Nora doesn't hear Ren though Pyrrha and Blake do as she continues. "We were surrounded by half a dozen Ursa...". Again, Ren quickly corrects. "They were Beowolves and only two of them". Ruby and Yang are hanging on every word Nora says as she finishes. "But they were no match for me and Ren, we then made a boat load of lien selling Ursa skin rugs". Ruby and Yang are in awe of Nora's story as Ren just sighs and says. "She's been having this recurring dream for nearly a month now".

Ruby looks at everyone in the group as she nervously fidgets in her seat and asks. "So... if it's not too personal, why did you all want to become huntsmen or huntresses"? Everyone looks over to Ruby, who now looks even more nervous now as to the groups surprise Blake answered first. "My sister thought it would be a good experience for me to go to Beacon and to get away from some bad stuff going down at home, but I don't really have a reason on becoming a Huntresses I guess the best reason I have is to show humans that faunus aren't just beasts". Everyone nods as Yang says. "I'd have to say you pretty beastly in combat Blake". Blake and Ruby both facepalm at Yang's pun as Pyrrha giggles a little. "What about you Pyrrha"? Ruby asks as the crimson haired girl nervously replied. "Well I guess the main reason is because I grew up around fighting and was taught how to fight at an early age so becoming a Huntress was almost the logical step and I get to help people". Pyrrha gives everyone a heart warming smile as Ren then says. "I guess I'll go next, I wished to learn how to fight and defeat Grimm so I can protect any remote villages that can't rely on the protection of the cities like Vale or Atlas". Nora gives Ren a smile as she says. "I'm pretty much in the same boat as Ren really".

Pyrrha turns to Ruby and Yang as she asks. "So what about you two then"? Yang is the first to reply. "Well our parents are both a Huntress and Huntsman and they taught us what it meant to be one, though for me it goes a bit deeper than that. Let's just say I'm looking for someone". Ruby then answers Pyrrha's question. "I see my mum as a hero and I just want to be just like her". Pyrrha can see the earnestness in Ruby's eyes and the determination in Yang's eyes but then Nora interjects and says. "Can we eat now I'm starving here". Everyone laughs as they order their food and continue to make small talk. As they are eating they overhear a news report on a nearby TV. "In more recent news multiple dust stores around Vale have been robbed and all the dust taken, police officials are still unaware as to who is perpetrating these robberies".

After finishing their meal the group exit the diner they immediately hear a pained cry as they all rush in the direction of the cry only to see a group of teenagers cornering and harassing a girl with deer horns protruding from her forehead. In the blink of an eye Blake rushes forward and punches one of the teenagers in the face shocking everyone and she stands in front of the girl in a protective manner. "What the hell was that for"! One of the teenagers yells at Blake as another sees the jaguar ears on Blake's head and says. "Hey this bitch is a faunus too, I guess those beasts...". The teenager doesn't finish what they're saying as Blake roundhouse kicks them in the face and then punches the other one in the face knocking them all to the ground. As the first teenager is getting up Blake picks them up and slams them against as wall.

"If I ever see or hear you do something like this again, you and your little friends are going to the hospital". Blake growls out as the teenager rapidly nods their head and the group runs away. Blake makes her way over to the deer faunus and checks to see if she's okay, Ruby nervously make her way over to Blake and asks. "Blake why'd you do that"? Blake sighs as she looks back to Ruby and says. "I have friends who are faunus that have suffered similar treatment so whenever I see a faunus getting harassed or worse it angers me". Ruby walks next to Blake and helps the deer faunus who looks over to Blake and says. "T-thank you". Blake nods and smiles at the deer faunus as Yang, along with the rest of the group, walk up with Yang saying. "Why don't we help get her home". Blake nods in agreement as the group help the deer faunus home and the group then makes their way back to Beacon

In the dorm hallway

"It was a lot of fun hanging out with you today, we should do this again". Ruby says as Pyrrha, Ren and Nora nod as Nora says. "Next time we should go to the arcade". Ruby excitedly agrees as Ren says. "Hopefully you won't get banned from this arcade too Nora". Everyone looks confused as Ren follows up. "That's a story for another time, we shall see you girls later". As the member of Team JNPR enter their dorm and the member of Team RWBY enter their dorm, they see Weiss standing in the middle of the room with her hands on her hips and a very angry expression on her face.
