[(Y/N)'s POV]

I walked through the dark streets of Vale, holding my side due to some cracked ribs. I've been on the run ever since I left the White Fang.

Me: 'I should've left with Blake.'

I was Adam's right hand man, I used to just rob places, gather dust, collect Intel. But then... then he started to make me kill humans. At first I was blinded by the thought of revenge for my family, but, in reality, it was just mindless slaughter. Adam didn't take my leaving all that well, he sent three White Fang lieutenants after me, I was lucky to escape with a few cuts and some cracked ribs. But now, I had no where to go. No family, no friends, and no one to help me. I wasn't sure why I was still running, still trying to live, it was obvious they'd find me, and kill me. Suddenly a gunshot rang out through the night, I then felt a sharp pain go through my right leg. I screamed out in pain as I fell to the ground. I held onto my leg and turned around to see one of  the White Fang lieutenants, Rouge, sporting his usual 44 magnum. He wore a black cloak with a hood, making it near impossible to see the White Fang mask underneath.

Rouge: "There you are you little traitor. Thought you could run from me?"

He walked towards me and kicked me onto my back. He stomped on my chest and held me there, then point his pistol at my forehead.

Me: "Please, you know what your doing is wrong, we aren't helping anyone. We're only making it worse! Can't you see that?"

Rouge: "I thought you of all people would understand that humans are nothing but a disgusting disease on this planet. They fear what is different, so we are casted out and forsaken. For too long this has happened, so now we will take what we have been so wrongly denied!"

He pulled the hammer back on his revolver.

Rouge: "Goodbye, traitor."

I closed my eyes and waited for the shot. Only, what I heard next wasn't a gunshot, but a grunt, followed by the weight being taken off my chest. I opened my eyes to see Rouge go flying backwards because of a kick delivered by a girl in a red hood. She helped me up and dusted me off a bit.

???: "Are you alright?"

Me: "Am now, thanks to you."

I smiled at her. She blushed and waved her hand in air while looking away.

???: "O-Oh it was nothing..."

I looked back to the place Rouge landed but he was no longer there. I darted my gaze around but couldn't find anything, while looking I turned to fast and pain shot through my ribs. I grabbed onto my ribs and clenched my teeth together to keep from screaming.

???: "Are you alright?"

Me: "Oh yeah definitely, just a few shattered to hell ribs and a goddamn bullet hole through my leg."

???: "I know a place we can go!"

She grabbed my arm and started leading me somewhere.

???: "So what's your name?"

Me: "Uh... It's (Y/N), what's yours?"

Ruby: "It's Ruby, Ruby Rose."

I chuckled.

Me: "Well it's nice to meet you Ruby."

A few minutes past in silence.

Ruby: "So you left the White Fang?"

I was shocked by this.

Me: 'Was she listening to my conversation?'

Me: "Uh... Y-Yeah. I did..."

She stopped and turned to me. She looked up at me and smiled.

Ruby: "It's okay! I have a friend just like you, her name is Blake."

Me: "Blake? She's alright?"

Ruby: "Yeah, you know her?"

I was a bit relieved she was okay, Adam never really did give up on finding her.

Me: "We spoke on a few occasions."

Ruby: "Well come on. It's just a little bit further."

Me: "Where are we going?"

Ruby: "You'll see."

[Time Skip, To Beacon]

Me: 'This isn't good... This is seriously not good.'

We were currently sneaking through the halls of the dormitory at Beacon. I was nervous to say the least. We got to a door and Ruby opened it and slowly peaked in. She then waved me in. I followed her and saw two make shift bunk beds. I raised my brow at this then noticed three figures sleeping in each of the beds. Ruby then led me to a bathroom. She had me sit down in the edge of the bathtub while she rummaged through the medicine cabinet for supply's to patch me up.

???: "Ruby? Is that you?"

She jumped.

Ruby: "Uh.. Yeah, it's me Yang."

Yang: "I wanted to say sorry for getting into that fight with you. But please, don't run away like that again."

Ruby: "It's okay Yang, I won't."

Suddenly something fell out of the cabinet and made a loud noise as it hit the ground.

Yang: "Ruby, what are you doing?"

She knocked on the door.

Ruby: "Uh...uh... Oh! I scraped my knee, so I'm just getting some bandages."

Yang: "Oh. Alright, just hurry to bed, alright?"

Ruby: "Got it."

Then there was silence. Ruby breathed a sigh of relief. She grabbed the bandages and some disinfectant.

Ruby; "Take off your shirt."

I nodded and removed my shirt. I looked down and saw that there was a lot of bruising on my left side. I looked up at Ruby and saw she was just kind of staring at me.

Me: "Uh... Ruby?"

She jumped and her face turned as red as her hood. She started laughing nervously.

Ruby: "S-Sorry."

Me: "It's fine, I know the bruising looks pretty bad."

Ruby: "Bruising? Oh! Yeah bruising right, that's what I was staring at!"

She leaned down and sprayed some disinfectant on a cloth.

Ruby: "This is gonna sting."

I nodded and took a deep breath. She started to apply the cloth to different areas. Every once in a while I'd jump out of reflex. After a while she started to wrap my torso in bandages. Once that was done she took care of my leg, luckily I had focused most of my aura into healing the wound so it mostly closed up. We exited the bathroom and I went towards the door.

Me: "Ruby, thank you for all you've done. I'll be leaving now."

She grabbed onto my arm.

Ruby: "Oh no you don't mister, you're staying here for now, until you heal up."

I raised my brow to her.

Me: "Alright Miss Bossy. But where am I to sleep?"

She thought for a moment then looked up to one of the top bunks.

Ruby: "Y-You can sleep... In my bed... For just tonight."

Her face once again turned as red as her hood.

Me: "A-Alright. If you truly think it's okay."

She climbed up onto her bed and helped me up, since my movement were still a bit stiff. Almost as soon as I laid down I fell into a deep sleep, considering all that I've been through today, I was a bit tired.

[Ruby's POV]

As soon as (Y/N) laid down he passed out. I giggled as I watched him. I then realized I was watching him and turned away.

Me: 'What is wrong with me...?'

Suddenly I heard him start whining. I turned around to see a pained look on his face.

Me: 'He's having a nightmare.'

I thought for a moment. I then got an idea. I placed his arms around me and started petting his head. His expression softened and he hugged onto me tighter. He nuzzled his face into the crook of my neck and stayed there. I could feel my face heat up as I felt his warm breath on my neck. I was in absolute bliss, for some reason this made me happy... Until I realized something.

Me: 'How am I gonna explain this to everyone...?'
