Ever since teams RWBY and NIKL fought and defeated Roman, White Fang activity has been at an all time low. Everyone expects them to flair up again, but for now, it was back to school. Today was like any other day, boring babbling from professor Port, incoherent babbling from professor Oobleck, but now is time for everyone's favorite class, sparring class. And Pyrrha was absolutely wrecking the whole of team CRDL, by herself mind you.

Phyrra defends herself from Cardin's mace before countering with a dash attack, dropping Cardin to his knees, meanwhile, Isaac and Leon are off to the side narrating the whole thing.

Isaac: Ah, the mace, a powerful but cumbersome weapon and a poor choice against a spear.

Pyrrha takes down Dove as Sky enters the fight.

Leon: Here comes Sky, not one to back down so easily.

Pyrrha penetrates Sky's defenses and knocks him over before going after Cardin again.

Isaac: Oooh he'll feel that in the morning.

Cardin slams the ground, causing an explosion before knocking Pyrrha back.

Leon: Yeah, swing with feeling, he's got her on the run.

Suddenly, Sky returns, Pyrrha dodges him while simultaneously blocking an attack from Cardin, Pyrrha then knocks Sky down, leaps off Cardin, and knocks him down too by throwing her shield, which bounces back and hits Sky.

Isaac: But then again, nothing lasts forever.

The rest of team CDNL jumps back into the fray, Pyrrha dispatches Dove and Russell easily, she then dodges an attack from Cardin and counters with bullets, but Russell deflects them with his daggers and dropkicks her, Russell then joins with Dove to assault Pyrrha before backing off and letting Cardin get involved.

Isaac: Could it be these nuts are actually doing something resembling teamwork?!

after a brief standoff, Cardin is knocked away and Russell rejoins the action, after Pyrrha dispatches him she and Dove start going to blows, Pyrrha blocks a few bullets from Dove's sword before taking a swipe at him, Dove jumps back as Cardin gets up and swats Dove aside while winding up another attack.

Leon: If I can quote a wise man, "nothing lasts forever".

Cardin unleashes a fiery shockwave, Pyrrha dodges it before unleashing a flurry of attacks on Cardin, taking him skyward, and slamming him to the ground.

Isaac: And he's out of there *mimics a cheering crowd*.

Glynda: And that's the match.

Cardin: *Groans* Lucky shot *passes out*.

Glynda: *Approaches "Well done miss Nikos, you should have ne problem qualifying for the tournament.

Pyrrha: Thank you professor

Glynda: Alright, now I know that's a tough act to follow but we have time for one more sparring match, any volunteers?

Leon and Isaac start doing rock, paper, scissors.

Glynda: Miss Belladonna?

Blake looks up from the book she's reading.

Glynda: You've been rather docile for the past few classes. Why don't you--.

Mercury: I'll do it.

Isaac gets ready to say something, but stops.

Leon: *Leans over* You were gonna try and protect her weren't you?

Isaac: *Blushes* I-I don't wanna hear it

Glynda: Mercury is it? Very well, let's find you an opponent.

Mercury: Actually, I wanna fight... Her. *points to Pyrrha*.

Pyrrha: Me?

Glynda: I'm afraid miss Nikos has already finished a match, I'd recommend you choose another partner.

Pyrrha: No! It's fine, I'd be happy to oblige.

With that said, Mercury made his way to the arena and dropped into a battle stance, he and Pyrrha then lunge after each other and Mercury kicks Pyrrha's shield, Pyrrha retaliates be swinging her spear, knocking Mercury over.

Leon: Outstanding display right from the start!

Mercury flips away and Pyrrha charges after him, Mercury answers by unleashing a flurry of kicks, Pyrrha deflects all of them and knocks Mercury back with her shield.

Isaac: Ah, those rocket powered boots are spectacular weapons indeed.

Mercury delivers a flying windmill kick, Pyrrha blocks it and jumps back while Mercury throws more kicks, Pyrrha parrys him but gets disarmed just as quick.

Leon: What a move by that newcomer!

Mercury launches another kick but he misses, Pyrrha charges at him and Mercury dropkicks her shield, rocketing away as he does so, Pyrrha charges at Mercury again but--.

Mercury: I forfeit.

Isaac: And we got--, what?

Leon: Did that guy just quit?

Pyrrha: You, don't even want to try?

Mercury: What's the point? You're a world renowned fighter, we're obviously leagues apart.

Isaac: I don't believe this, why did he qualify if he was just gonna quit?

Glynda: In that case, Pyrrha Nikos is the victor of the match, again. Next time you may want to think a little harder before choosing an opponent.

Leon: Or maybe you can try not quitting, that'll help.

Mercury: I'll be sure to do that.

School bell goes off.

Glynda: That is all for today. And remember the dance is this weekend, but you all have your first mission on monday. I will not accept any excuses.

Isaac: Dance!? *Blushes* Oh no, no no no no.

Leon: Oh this is rich, I get to see Coonie get down with his favorite kitty cat.

Isaac faints.

Nina: Sounds like someone dunno how t'dance.

Isaac: *comes to his senses* Oh I am in so much trouble.

Leon: You bet you are, I heard that Sun fellow is looking to ask Blake out too.

Nina: you seen his abs? Woo.... I gotta get another look. *leaves*

Isaac: I-I think I'm gonna be sick. *faints again*

Kayla: he's particularly weak of constitution.

Leon: nah, he's just a scaredy coon.

Nina: *Returns "Ok I got good news, I just saw Blake turn Sun down, so Isaac's still got a chance.

Kayla: Hold on, if Sun can't do it, what makes you think Isaac can?

Leon: Casue he's not doing it alone, I'm gonna help him.

A few minutes later, in team NIKL's dorm.

Plan #1

Leon: Alright Coonie, today, you win over your favorite kitty cat, and I know just how to do it too, behold. *shows Isaac a ball of thread*

Isaac: *Takes one look* are you serious?

Leon: I mean yeah, it should work, I think?

Isaac: Should work?! That'll never work.

Leon: But dude... she's a catgirl... Of course she likes yarn. All you gotta do is--.

Isaac: Can it, this is never gonna work.

Leon: Alright fine, why don't we try--.

Plan #2

Leon: Ok, so the yarn isn't gonna work huh, well how about this. *pulls out a jar of catnip*

Isaac: Leon, we need to think like Blake is a person, not an animal.

Leon: Hold on hear me out here.*opens the jar and rubs some into his hands*

Isaac: Uh Leon, what are you doing?

Leon: Just hold still. *starts rubbing Isaac's hair*

Isaac: Hey, hey what are you doing?! *struggles and gets away* why man, why!?

Nina: *enters* Hey bros, you got any--. *sniffs the air* what's that smell?

Isaac: Leon attacked me with catnip, I'm getting a shower! *storms out of the room*

Plan #3

Leon: So you said we need to think like Blake's a person, I heard girls like a guy that shares common interest, so why don't you try this. *produces a smutty romance novel, flips to a certain page, then hands it to Isaac*

Isaac: *starts reading* hmm, uh huh *turns a deep red* uh are you sure?

Leon: Come on she loves this kind of stuff.

Isaac: But I'd never do something like this, I don't claim to know anything but I'm pretty sure girls don't care for guys who act out of character, in other words, I have to be myself.

Leon: Alright alright, I got a new idea, and this one is full proof!

Plan #4

Leon takes Isaac to the library before giving Isaac a backpack, and two mugs of coffee.

Leon: Alright Isaac here's the rundown, when you go in you give Blake the coffee mug in your right hand, brewed it just how she likes it. And as for that backpack, it's full of newspapers about the White Fang's whereabouts.

Isaac: And what do I tell her?

Leon: Just say you're willing to aid her investigation. *Shoves Isaac inside* good luck. *runs off*

Isaac: No wait, Leon I DAH! *Librarian shushes him*

Isaac starts wandering around before eventually finding Blake.

Isaac: *Walks up to Blake* Uh, hi Blake.

Blake: *doesn't look up from the book she's reading* What do you want?

Isaac: I uh, heard you were looking for the White Fang, and I brought something that might help *he sets the coffee on the table, he then reaches into the backpack and lays one of the newspapers on the table* See here, it says the White Fang holed up just outside of Vale, and they're using it as a staging area for their next plan.

Blake: *looks up from her book* What?

Isaac: Yeah, and this one *pulls out another newspaper* says they got a mole right here in Beacon.

Blake: *quickly stands up* Well what are we waiting for, we gotta act on this now.

Isaac: *lays a hand on Blake's shoulder* No, listen to me, you can't keep doing this to yourself. It's not like they intend to launch this plan today, tomorrow, or even next week. Tell you what, I'll investigate this lead for you, you get some rest, I'id say you've earned it.

Blake: *blushes slightly* I-I don't know what to say.

Isaac: A thank you will do fine.

Blake: *out of nowhere, she hugs Isaac* thank you.

Isaac: *blushes deeply* Wa--I--uh, you're welcome? Um, you should get to sleep.

Blake: *releases Isaac* I will, thank you again. *leaves*

Isaac just stands there completely dumbfounded as to what just happened, but suddenly, Leon shows up.

Leon: Oh man, I saw the whole thing, you are awesome. Ya see I knew my plan would work, and you're that much closer to Blake, and the dance.

Leon processes to lead Isaac out of the library, discussing future plans all the way.
