Blake pov

I am getting my dress on and applying a little makeup. I am honestly excited about going, I don't know whether I convinced (Y/N) to play a couple songs, or if it's just because (Y/N) asked me to go with him. As I am in the bathroom, I hear a knock on the door. Before I can go to check, Ruby tells me.

Ruby: I got it.

(Y/N) pov

I am standing outside the team RWBY dorm door. After I knock the door opens and Ruby is standing there.

Ruby: Hey (Y/N), Blake is almost done. You look really nice.

(Y/N): Thank you, you look pretty Ruby, but no hood.

Ruby: Yeah, Yang said I couldn't wear it to the dance. Also I hate these shoes. Well I need to get going, I am helping Weiss finish checking the decorations. See ya there.

(Y/N): Later Rubes!

Just then Blake sticks her head out of the doorway and asks.

Blake: Are you the only one here?

(Y/N): Uh yes?

Blake: Can help me, please?

(Y/N): Sure, what's up?

She gestures for my to come into the bathroom, I walk in and only see her back.

Blake: Can you zip up my dress, please?

I walk up to her and zip it up for her. As I start to pull away, Blake grabs my hand and turns around. As she turns, I look at her dress, it is black at the top and slowly fades to dark purple. And although I would prefer to see her without the bow, she still looks really beautiful. She then blushes and asks me.

Blake: H-How do I look?

(Y/N): You are more beautiful than the midnight sky.

Blake blushes and pulls me towards her and gives me a very passionate kiss. We seperate as the need for air arose and just look into eachother's eyes and smile.

Blake: We should probably head down, don't want to miss your performance. *giggles*

(Y/N): Right, hooray. *unenthusiasticly*

We walk arm in arm to the ballroom as we reach it we are greeted by Yang.

Yang: Look what the kitty dragged in, haha!

(Y/N): Nice to see you too, firecracker.

Yang: Honestly, you two look amazing together.

Blake: Thanks, Yang.

We start to head in but then, ugh, trouble comes up in the form of monkey buisness.

Sun: Hey Blake!

Blake: Hi Sun.

(Y/N): Hey.

Sun: May I cut in then?

I am taken aback by Sun's arrogance and disrespectfulness, that I am left speechless.

Blake: *annoyed* Seriously Sun, you think I am just going to leave my boyfriend to dance with you.

Sun: Uh yeah.

Blake: And why would I ever do something like that?

Sun: Because, I am a lot more fun than him.

Blake: Stupid is more like it.

Sun finally gets pissed and tries to reach for Blake, but I grab his arm and pull him away. Sun tries to go for a punch, but I grab his fist and don't let go. I then kick him in the groin and he buckles and falls to his knees. I then punch him square in the nose, causing him to bleed.

(Y/N): That was a warning. If you try something like this again, I will break every single bone in your body.

With that Blake and I head inside the ballroom, and get a drink to cool off after that. Then Blake grabs my hand and places a kiss on my cheek.

Blake: I love you, (Y/N). Nothing will ever change that, I promise.

(Y/N): Took the words right out of my mouth. I love you too, Blake.

I then feel a tap on my opposite shoulder and I turn around and see Weiss standing there.

(Y/N): Yes Weiss, do you need something?

Weiss: Well, it is time for yor first song and everything you asked for it is ready and in place.

(Y/N): Oh, awesome. I'll be there in a minute.

Weiss walks away and to the band, I turn back to Blake to see she has a questioning look.

Blake: What are you up to (Y/N). I know I asked you to perform but beyond that...

(Y/N): Might as well go big at first right.

With that I walk on stage and tap on the microphone and everyone turns to me.

(Y/N): Alright, who's having fun out there tonight?

Applause

(Y/N): Excellent, everyone clap for yourself if your here with a date tonight.

Applause

(Y/N): Awesome, but we'll get to couples later. But as you know I am performing some songs tonight. The first one I made up after I left to train as a warrior, so everyone put on your dancing shoes cause you've never had a friend like me. Watch out!

(A/N): Just imagine in the ballroom doing everything in the video with various RWBY charcters intermixed

Applause

(Y/N): Well, well! How's that for a party, huh!

Applause

(Y/N): Alright, everyone take breather, boys grab a drink for you and your date. We'll have intermission and I'll be back for a finale.

Blake pov

After that exhilirating performance, I jump into (Y/N)'s arms as he comes off stage. I hand him a drink, and start laughing.

(Y/N): What are you laughing about, kitten?

Blake: Just how much fun that was, I felt like I was seeing a goofball I once knew.

(Y/N): Hey, is this guy taller than me?

Blake: He is you stupid.

(Y/N)/Blake: *laughing*

After a little while it is announced that (Y/N) must come back on stage.

(Y/N): Alright that's me. Love you.

Blake: Love you too.

(Y/N) pov

I head back to the stage and grab my guitar and grab the microphone.

(Y/N): Alright, you guys having fun so far!

Applause

(Y/N): Awesome, so this final piece, is an older piece but it fits this purpose. So um any couples out there this is for you. Here we go.

Applause

(Y/N): Well have a great night everyone. I'll see you tomorrow for classes

Applause and Laughter

I walk off the stage and walk to Blake as a slow song starts to play. I smile at her and ask.

(Y/N): Miss Belladonna, may I have this dance?

Blake: *giggles* Of course you may.

Blake and I head out onto the dance floor and just sway to the music. I look into Blake's amber eyes and see love and happiness. We stare at eachother for a while and I start to lean in. Blake puts her arms around my neck and leans in as well. Our lips finally meet and we kiss, the kiss seems to last forever, until the nned for air seperate us. I just smile at her and I say something that never gets boring.

(Y/N): I love you, kitten, more than anything on the entire planet. No matter how far away we may be, I will always love you.

Blake: And I love you, lion cub, and you will always be in my heart.

With that, we kiss again and just stay close for the rest of the song. When all of a sudden I start hearing laughter, Blake and I turn to see what was going on, we could not believe our eyes.

Blake: Is Jaune, wearing a dress?

(Y/N): I don't even want to know how he got roped into doing that.

Then team JNPR get into what looks like a coordinated dance routine. Blake and I look at eachother and just start laughing with eachother and enjoy the rest of the evening together.
