(Y/N) pov

Everyone heeds my advice and we run after everyone else has their chess piece. We make it to the ruins and unfortunatly the three Grimm have chased us throught the forest. Everyone makes a beeline for the ruins but then the Spider jumps and shoots three strings of webbing and captures most of the students, even Blake. I turn around as the Grimm approach the students when all of a sudden I get a feeling I have naver felt before. A surge of power flows through me as Blake yells.

Blake: (Y/N), please help!

My eyes turn beastlike and I let out a mighty roar like never before.

As the roar creates a huge gust of wind blowing the Grimm away, Blake and the others escape the webbing and join behind me. As the roar subsides the Grimm are either dead or blown a far distance away. I calm down and then I try to comprehend what just happened. Everyone else has a shock and awe look on their faces.

(Y/N): What was that?

Blake: We were hoping you could tell us.

Yang: I have never seen anything like that before.

Ruby: Yeah, is that your semblance?

(Y/N): I don't know?

Weiss: Well can we discuss this later? We need to head to the top of the cliffs.

3rd person pov

As the heroes make our way to the cliffs and start climbing a Nevermore comes diving out of the sky and takes Blake and Ren in it's claws. (Y/N) gets to the top of the cliff with the others and Ruby tells him.

Ruby: Hit with another roar!

(Y/N): If I do I could hurt Blake and Ren or worse they fall into the canyon.

Weiss: Got any better ideas.

(Y/N): Maybe.

(Y/N) tell the others the plan and it goes into action. Ruby, Weiss, and Pyyrha start shooting at the Nevermore getting it to fly to the group on the cliff. (Y/N) then yells at Blake....

(Y/N): Blake, wrap your grapple around it's leg.

Blake does so and makes sure it is tight. As the Grimm gets close to the cliffs Blake throws her ribbon at (Y/N). He grabs it and yells.

(Y/N): Nora, Yang NOW!

     (Y/N), Nora and Yang grab and pull hard on the ribbon and stop the Grimm in its tracks. Ruby then runs up the ribbon, as she does she shoots her rifle and gets Ren and Blake free. She then uses her semblance and decapitates the Nevermore. The Grimm turned to ash, as I catch Blake and Nora catches Ren.

Blake pov

(Y/N): Are you ok?

     My eyes shot open to see that (Y/N) had caught me. I looked at his eyes and tried to hide a blush.

Blake: You saved me, again.

(Y/N): Like I said when we were kids. I will always be there for you. I promise.

Yang: Ohh, Blake has a boyfriend!

I blush and glare at Yang, as (Y/N) puts me down. (Y/N) starts to chuckle with the others as I walked away. Yang wasn't completly wrong though, I would very much enjoy being in a relationship with- ahh what am I thinking I shouldn't think about my best friend like that. Would it be so bad though?

Timeskip Auditorium

(Y/N) pov

Ozpin: Russel Thrush, Cardin Winchester, Dove Bronswin, Sky Lark. The four of you retrieved the black bishop pieces. From this day forward you will be known as Team CRDL. Led by Cardin Winchester.

Applause

Ozpin: Juane Arc, Lie Ren, Pyyrha Nikos, Nora Valkyrie. The four of you retrieved the white rook pieces. From this day forward you will work together as Team JNPR. Led by Jaune Arc.

Applause

Ozpin: Blake Belladonna, Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, and Yang Xio Long. The four of you retrieved the white knight pieces. From this day forward you will work together as Team RWBY. Led by Ruby Rose.

Yang: I'm so proud of you!

Applause

Ozpin: Finally, (Y/N) (L/N). You did not find a partner normally I would have to fail you and send you home. I would like to offer you a place of your own here. Come see me in my office if your interested.

I look down in shame but then I feel a hand on my shoulder. I look and see Blake smiling at me, I smile back and think because she's here everything will be ok.

Blake: (Y/N), everything is going to be alright. No need to worry

(Y/N): Yeah, I just wonder what Ozpin has in store for me.

Timeskip Ozpin's Office

I make it up to the Officr and sit down across from Ozpin. He and Glynda have a serious look on their face.

(Y/N): Am I in trouble for something?

Ozpin: No, should you be?

(Y/N): Well the looks on your faces are not helping me relax at all.

Ozpin gives me his scroll tablet and I look to see a recording of me using my roar.

Ozpin: Do you know what kind of power that is.

(Y/N): I've never used nor seen that power before in my life.

Ozpin: I believe you, but this is important.

Ozpin then pulls up a picture of an old painting and it looks like the roar I used.

(Y/N): But, how?

Ozpin: Thousands of years ago, there was a group of evil faunus trying to destroy everything. But one lion faunus, named Askari, created a power to stop the evil faunus and bring a temporary peace between the faunus and humans. This is the power  that has been passed down for thousands of years and now to you.

(Y/N): What was this power called?

Ozpin: The Roar of the Elders. When you roar the lion faunus who have possessed this power roar with you. Creating the huge gust of wind that you did. Powerful enough to blow back or even destroy the mightiest of enemies. However there is a catch, you predecessor that wielded this power, became too greedy and turned on his own friends.

(Y/N): What happened to him?

Ozpin: The Roar was taken from him and has not appeared again until now.

I sat there thinking hard about what Ozpin just said. I start thinking about how this will not only affect me but also my family and then my mind goes to Blake. How will she respond to this new responsibility I have been tasked with. I then sigh hard and look at Ozpin with a serious but sincere expression.

(Y/N): I will accept this power and the responsibilities that come with it.

Ozpin: Welcome to Beacon. Now Glynda will show you to your dorm and I suggest getting some sleep, classes are at 9 sharp tomorrow. Good night.

(Y/N): Goodnight, sir.
