Blake POV

I am out on the balcony mentally preparing for tonight's mission to get signatures to help save Haven Academy, before I turn to go back inside but I then feel something under the railing. It feels like paper, I pick it up and look around before opening it. It's a message from Ilia saying she wants to try to get away from the White Fang and wants to talk. I think it over and walk back inside and see (Y/n) teaching Sun some fighting techniques he picked up on the road.

Blake: (Y/n)?

(Y/n): Yeah, Blake?

Blake: I need your guys' help.

I walk to the specified location, which is a darkened alleyway.

Blake: Ilia?

Ilia: I'm here.

On instinct I grab Gambol Shroud as Ilia appears from the darkness.

Blake: Ilia, I know you're scared, but you don't have to be. (Y/n), my family and I, we can keep you safe.

Ilia: *with her hands up* I'm sorry.

Blake: You can make it up to me by helping to stop Corsac and Fennec.

Ilia: No. I'm sorry.

I hear footsteps and react too late and am tackled to the ground by a bat faunus, my weapon drops at Ilia's feet. I struggle to my feet after overcoming the shock of having the wind knocked out of me without my Aura up, I try to say something but am wrapped by a spider faunus' webbing and fall to the ground again.

Blake: Ilia! What are you doing?

Ilia: I tried to warn you, Blake. I'm sorry.

Blake: Don't tell me you're sorry.

Ilia: But I am. I am sorry it has to be this way. But you and your family are holding the Faunus back.

Blake: Because we're trying to protect people? In what world do you live in where attacking the innocent is the right thing to do?

Ilia: The same one as you! There's no such thing as innocent. There's no right thing to do; only what's best for us. There's the humans that still hate the Faunus, and there's the others who stand by and let the hate happen! But you know what snaps out hate? Fear. I don't like hurting people, but I'll tell you this: it's gotten us results.

Blake: Yeah, look where it's gotten you.

Ilia: *looks away* We all have to make sacrifices for the greater good. No matter how much it hurts.

Blake: And you think killing me is really for the greater good?

Ilia: No. But getting rid of your family is, and that pathetic excuse for a lion.

My face turns into horror, the White Fang plan to kill the people I care most about. I have to get out of this, somehow.

Blake: You wouldn't. You can't! I won't let you!

Ilia: I know. That's why you're being sent to Mistral. To Adam.

Blake: Ilia, please. You don't have to do this. This isn't you!

Ilia: Yes it is. But I guess back then you were too busy falling for Adam to notice. I was always jealous of the way you looked at him, even more at the way you looked at (Y/n) at the rally. I wanted you to look at me that way. *eyes turn red* But we can't always get what we want. Yuma, with me. You lot get her to the docks.

Ilia and Yuma walk away leaving me with the other seven White Fang members, as I got pulled up onto my feet.

Blake: NOW!

Suddenly the spider is tackled away by Sun and I am grabbed by (Y/n) and released, I grab my weapon and prepare for combat, but (Y/n) stops me.

Blake: (Y/n)?!

(Y/n): You heard Ilia, your family is in danger. Take Sun and go, now!

Blake: But you vs all of them?

(Y/n): I've got a plan. Go!

I see the look of determination and see he is asking me to trust him, I nod and yell at Sun.

Blake: Sun, let's go! (Y/n) hold the line.

Sun: Are you sure?

(Y/n): Now, Sun!

Sun follows me out of the alleyway and we run back to my house, hopefully we aren't too late.

(Y/n) POV

(Y/n): Halt, villains. The battle stops here.

Spider: Ridiculous, you may buy your girlfriend a few seconds, but even you can't defeat all of us at once.

I glance up and Tyler's silhouette in the sky and smirk.

(Y/n): You may have strength in numbers, but I have strength in this. Till Remnant ends!

ECSTB: LION GUARD DEFEND!

Eric and Cassie jump in and take out two of the White Fang members, knocking them out.

Tyler: Incoming!

Tyler flies in and causes three more to duck to avoid his 'attack.'

WF Grunt: Ha, you missed!

Tyler: Did I?

Bruno: Twende Kiboko!

WF Grunt: Oh no.

Bruno then uses his bulk and strength to slam into the three grunts and knock them out. Simon and I take down the last two and we all then tie up the last of them.

(Y/n): Thanks for the awesome backup team.

Eric: No problem, brother.

Cassie: We can celebrate later, we have a family to protect.

(Y/n): Right, let's go.

The Lion Guard and I rush through town towards the Belladonna home and I can hear gunshots even from a distance.

(Y/n): Okay, here's the plan. Tyler, Bruno, Simon, you're on crowd control, try to keep everyone away from the fight so no one else gets hurt. Cassie, Eric find Ghira and Kali and make sure they're safe, and watch out for Yuma, he's a remorseless killer. Corsac and Fennec are mine.

Eric: We won't let you down, (Y/n).

The plan goes into action, Eric, Cassie and myself go through the front door and I see Ghira and Sun barely holding their own against Corsac and Fennec. I quickly transform into Lion mode and tackle the two brothers and Eric tells Ghira.

Eric: Come on, Ghira. Let's find your wife.

Ghira: But...

Cassie: No buts just get yours moving!

Sun: What about me?

(Y/n): *transforms into faunus form* Go find Blake, I'll take care of these chumps.

Sun: You've got it!

My team leaves the room and Corsac and Fennec get back to their feet, Corsac starts laughing.

Corsac: You are a fool to think you can take us on by yourself.

(Y/n): I will never stop fighting for a world where Humans and Faunus can coexist peacefully, ever.

I draw my sword and rush the two brothers and go on the attack.

Blake POV

Blake: Why do you feel we need to hurt people to get our way?!

Ilia: Because it works!

Blake: That doesn't make it right!

Ilia then shocks me with her weapon and disarms me, she then kicks me over desk and I use my Semblance to avoid her whip attack and hide behind the desk.

Ilia: Stop lecturing me!

The room then grows dark and even though I can see in the dark, I can't see Ilia when she's camouflaged in the shadows. I grab my weapon from the middle of the room, I wait and then I hear a floorboard creak and gives Ilia away, but she is too quick and hits me with her whip.

Ilia: Why couldn't you just leave?!

Blake: Because I run away too much.

I dodge two more whip strikes and hide behind the desk again, I decide to load fire dust into Gambol Shroud and point at my dad's plant garden in the house.

Blake: Sorry, dad.

I fire and light the plants on fire, this revealed Ilia and she went on the attack again, but I hold back and only try to disable her.

Ilia: Quit taking potshots and fight me like you mean it!

I dodge another strike with my Semblance and jump behind the second floor balcony.

Ilia: You used to see things the way I did! The way Adam did! If no one is going to stop the humans then the only choice we have left is to attack back!

Blake: No it's not! (Y/n) showed me that there is a way to obtain peace with the humans! Is it easy? No, the right thing is never easy but it is what's right and that's the only reason I need to keep fighting.

I then fire ice dust at Ilia and, as expected, she blocked them but she didn't realize that her weapon froze until she went to strike, I grapple her weapon and disarm her and use the momentum to jump off the balcony and pin her.

Blake: Ilia please. You're a good person but you're making all the wrong decisions!

Ilia: *struggles* SHUT UP!

Blake: Is this really what your parents would've wanted?!

Ilia: *breaks down* I don't know what else to do! *crying* I don't know what else to do...

Just then I hear a ruckus and turn my head to see Fennec get thrown into the room, then Corsac follows and (Y/n) jumps in trying to get a snake faunus off his back. He finally throws her off and dodges Corsac's strike and deflects Fennec and punches him across the jaw. He then gets punched by the snake and Fennec grabs (Y/n) by the head and uses his weapon to blast him with fire.

Blake: (Y/N)!

Ilia throws me off her and grabs her weapon, but I need to help (Y/n) quickly.

(Y/n) POV

I am now being hit from all side from my three opponents, the snake faunus was waiting to jump me in entryway when I tried to fight Corsac and Fennec. Fennec now throws me over his shoulders and while I somersault to recover Corsac was already into a side kick which hits me in the face and takes out my Aura. I get back to my feet too late to dodge Corsac wind strike, I stand my ground against the wind but then Fennec blasts me with fire and sends me flying across the room. I get to my hands and knees as my sword slides to my position, I finally get to one knee as Fennec asks.

Fennec: Is the future of our race not worth a single life?

I look at Blake and she has a horrified look on her face, I simply shoot her a wink and pick up my sword and exclaim.

(Y/n): You'll never stop at one. I'll take you all on!

I rush back in and I am fighting with everything I have left in me for the future of not just the Faunus but possibly for the future of all life. I take down Corsac as Sun jumps in and kicks Fennec away from me, Eric then comes back and continues dealing with Corsac and the snake. I shift my attention to Ilia and charge her and she barely blocks my sword strike and I push her into a pillar when I hear.

Blake: STOP! *as a tear runs down her face* Please.

Ilia uses the opportunity to deflect my sword and because of the pressure I was putting on her I couldn't stop myself from ramming into the pillar that was weakened by the flames cracks under the pressure and begins to fall. Ilia is under the balcony and as if on instinct, I drop my sword and catch the balcony before it hits the ground. Ilia looks at me in surprise and confusion, I snap her out of it by yelling at her.

(Y/n): *strained* Go! Now!

Ilia gets out but I can't let this balcony go or it will crush me if I try to escape, I drop to one knee while holding it, until I hear Fennec yell and I can hear him moving my direction. Then Blake's weapon wraps around my torso and she pulls me out with all her might before Fennec can hit me and the balcony lands on him crushing him. I then feel Blake wrap her arms around me and I can hear her faintly crying. Suddenly, I hear the snake faunus rushing us, I push Blake away as the snake tackles me into the desk and she then grapples herself around my neck and then bites me in the face with her fangs.

(Y/n): Ahh!

Blake/Eric: (Y/N)!

I finally throw the snake off and already the venom is starting to take effect and I stumble to the ground.

Snake: Finding it difficult to concentrate? My venom has that effect on people. Hehehehehe.

Blake then takes her down and cuffs her, Blake then checks on me when we hear a door open and Cassie and Kali walk through with Yuma bound and knocked out.

Blake: Mom! Cassie?

Cassie: Long time no see, Blakey.

Corsac: You've ruined everything. Everything!

He starts to charge us when he is hit and tased by a familiar whip, when he falls we all see Ilia standing there, I guess Blake got through to her. Blake checks on me again as I'm still not feeling right, she moves my hand away from my face and sees the damage and sighs.

(A/N): Just what your scar now looks like.

Blake: Don't worry it's just going to be a scar, we'll have that hermit look at it just to be sure.

We all head outside with our prisoners and the Lion Guard is helping guardsmen keep the crowd at a safe distance.

3rd Person POV

Blake helps (Y/n) out of the house and onto the steps and while the hermit looks at him, Blake looks at the anxious crowd and starts to walk out towards them.

Ghira: Blake?!

(Y/n) stops Ghira with one wave of his hand, Blake then speaks out.

Blake: Humans didn't do this! We did this, Faunus. We did this to ourselves. We are just as capable of hate and violence as the humans, but I don't think any of us would jump at the chance to point that out. So, why are we letting Adam and Ben do it for us?! By doing nothing and staying silent, we let others speak and act in our place. And if we're not proud of the choices they make, then we have no one to blame but ourselves.

(Y/n): She's right! *stands up and joins Blake* This is the message Adam Taurus and Ben (L/n) will bring to the world if no one stops them. But we can stop them! You all have to understand that you are looking for simple answers to a very complicated problem.

Blake: And neither of us can give that to you. I don't know how to make hate go away. I don't! What we do know is that this kind of violence is NOT the solution.

(Y/n): We understand that to ask you to leave your homes and protect Haven Academy is asking you to put your lives at risk, but that's what's at stake! So, Blake and I are going and we will stand alone if necessary.

Ilia: I'll stand with you! If-If you'll have me.

(Y/n) looks at Blake and she nods at him and urges Ilia forward until a guard stops her.

Guard: You're not going anywhere.

(Y/n): Let her come.

Guard: Your just going to forgive her after everything she did?

Blake: We are. *takes (Y/n)'s hand in hers*

The guard looks at Ghira and he simply nods and the guard lets Ilia go, Ilia walks to the pair that forgave her for everything with a nervous smile.

Guard: What are they thinking?

Ghira: They have learned a lesson that evaded me until I was much older: that there is strength in forgiveness.

Mata: I'll stand with you too.

A ram faunus walks out of the crowd with his hand raised, one by one the entire town starts cheering to go to Haven Academy. (Y/n) looks at Blake and smiles as he says.

(Y/n): Looks like we have work to do. *winces*

Blake: (Y/n)?

The hermit checks (Y/n) again and give his diagnosis.

Hermit: It's as I feared, the venom from that snakes bite is still flowing through (Y/n). If it stays inside him for too long, he may no longer know the difference between right and wrong.

Blake: What can we do?

Hermit: There is nothing for him here on Menagerie.

Blake: No! *holds (Y/n)'s arm*

Hermit: However, if you travel to Anima there is a remedy for the venom. Until then though, (Y/n) may lose his temper more often, Blake you must try and keep him under control, because if he loses control of the roar, he'll lose it forever.

After setting up a training schedule to get everyone at least somewhat battle ready, Blake takes (Y/n) to a bed in someone else's home, because let's face it nothing survived that fire. All the while Blake tries her best to help (Y/n) and prepare for, hopefully, the final confrontation with the White Fang.

Blake: No matter what happens, I will always love you, (Y/n).

(Y/n): And I love you, Blake.

(A/N): Whew, that was intense, huh? Well now we have a new problem will Blake and (Y/n) be able to stop the White Fang for good? Find out next time.
