Last time Liam dove into Zane's heart and ended up a fighting Ansem and being saved by his parents! Although Liam still needs to save Zane! It's time for the true final battle!

Liam entered a void of Darkness that was in a deeper part of Zane's Heart as he looked around for whatever was causing his best friend's deep sleep. "Liam, I'm sensing something. Something that is just oozing corruption of Darkness." Eros said in Liam's head as Liam heard the sound of metal clanking. Liam turned to see a suit of Keyblade armor that appeared to be corrupted by Darkness that was holding an equally corrupted Kingdom Key. "Wait that's Ventus's Keyblade Armor! He must have protected Zane's Heart from the Darkness." Liam said as he summoned Way to the Dawn as he stared down the Keyblade Armor.

            Armored Ventus Nightmare sunk into a battle stance as he faced Liam. "Looks like I gotta break that armor if I wanna get Zane back! Alright bring it on!" Liam shouted as he and Ventus Nightmare charged at one another. Liam and Ventus Nightmare clashes as both tried to overpower each other. Ventus Nightmare broke Liam's defense before attempting to slash him in the chest, but the teenager was able to backflip out of the way of the attack. "Liam, you Aura hasn't recovered, so you gotta be careful!" Eros reminded him before Liam blocked another attack from Ventus Nightmare.
                Liam slid under another attack before quickly striking Ventus Nightmare in the back. The corrupted Keyblade Armor seemed barely phased by the attack as he turned to face Liam once again. Liam deflected another attack before quickly sidestepping and quickly unleashed a four slash combo into Ventus Nightmare's side. Ventus Nightmare stabbed his Keyblade into the ground, which generated a dark shockwave that knocked Liam off his feet. Ventus Nightmare jumped high into the air as he attempted to preform a drop attack on his downed opponent.
            Liam roller to the side of the attack before kicking Ventus Nightmare's legs out from under him. Liam then preformed an upwards slash on Ventus Nightmare before he could hit the ground as he was sent flying into the air. Liam switched to Gallant Gold before jumping into the air and unleashing a rapid Aerial combo on the Keyblade Armor before delivering a downward slash that sent Ventus Nightmare flying into the ground. Liam quickly landed before charging towards his recovering foe ready to strike again.
                Liam delivered a powerful slash to the side of the Keyblade Armor as it was staggered by the attack. Ventus Nightmare's dropped to its knees from the attack as Liam got ready to finish the job. Before he could however, Ventus Nightmare unleashed an explosion of Darkness from his body that sent Liam flying backwards. Ventus Nightmare got back on his feet as Darkness began to radiate Darkness as it started walking towards Liam. Liam got up and blocked the attack, but the sheer force of the impact sent him flying backwards again as he dug his feet in to stop.
            Liam attempted to block another oncoming attack, that knocked him off his feet as the Keyblade Armor seemed to have only gotten stronger. "Liam, this thing was holding back up until now! Get ready!" Eros said as he seemed to be panicking at the current situation they found themselves in. "I should've known this wouldn't be an easy battle! We can't give up yet! Not till we get Zane back!" Liam said before he was punched in the gut by Ventus Nightmare before being grabbed by the neck and thrown into the air by the Keyblade Armor, who remained on the ground as if waiting for something to happen.
              Ventus Nightmare waited for Liam to fall back down, before delivering a powerful strike to his side with his Keyblade. Liam was sent sprawling across the ground as he started to cough up blood from the attack he just got hit by. Liam shakily stood up, but before he could summon his Keyblade again to defend himself, Ventus Nightmare unleashed attack after attack on the downed Keyblade Wielder as he dropped to his knees in pain. Liam's entire body felt every part of his body screaming in pain, this Keyblade Armor was on another level then him. Ventus Nightmare raised his Keyblade, ready to finish the job as everything seemed to slow down for Liam as he zoned out.

In Liam's Heart
Liam found himself in the same part of his Heart that Eros resides in as he looked around for the embodiment of the Darkness in his Heart. "I think this is in the end of the line for us Liam." Liam turned to look at Eros, who seemed to be completely defeated at this point. "We can't just give up Eros! I'm not returning without Zane!" Liam fires back at his Darkness who just laughed at his words. "Don't worry about that! We won't be making it out of here alive anyway! You honestly might have stood a chance if you got rid of me, me being the Darkness in your Heart is just hindering the power of your Light." Eros said as he only seemed more annoyed at the hopeless situation they were currently in.
                 Liam clenched his fist in annoyance as he grabbed Eros by the front of his shirt as he picked up the ten year old version of himself in annoyance. "What happened to your confidence?! What happened to that unstoppable power that made me go on a rampage?!" Liam shouted as he shook Eros slightly. "Don't you get it?! You may never become a Keyblade Master with me around! You probably should have kept trying to get rid of me!" Eros shouted as he broke free from Liam's grip. "You think I care about that title?! If there is one thing I've learned from the people with Heroic Hearts is that everyone of them has Darkness within them, something that they feel is bad about them!" Liam shouted as Eros remained silent.
               Liam looked down at Eros before he continued on his rant. "I'm done ignoring the Darkness in my Heart! I'm going to accept it just like I accept the Light!" Liam said as Eros started laughing wildly. "You can't be serious? You want to embrace the Light and Darkness in your Heart at the same time? That's like trying to mix oil and water!" Eros snapped as he glared at Liam. "That's not true! Light and Darkness need one another to exist, so that means that they can work in harmony! So please Eros, lend me your strength!" Liam begged as he offered his hand to the Darkness embodiment.
Eros looked at Liam's hand with a conflicted expression on his face. "You do know this is both incredibly dangerous and incredibly stupid right?" Eros said as he looked at Liam who cracked a smile. "Do you want to die or do you want to at least attempt to make it out of here alive?" Liam asked as Eros cracked a smile of his own "what the hell, let's give it a shot Liam Nikos!" Eros said as he grabbed Liam's hand as Darkness and Light began to erupt around them as Liam felt himself begin to wake up again. Liam smiled as he was starting to understand what is parents were trying to tell him.

Back at the Battle
As Ventus Nightmare was about to bring down the Kingdom Key a column of Darkness and Light erupted from under Liam ask the Keyblade Armor was knocked away. The energy died down to reveal Liam who's skin was now purple, his hair was a bright blueish color instead of its normal grayish white. His eyes were now red and he had a symbol on his back that two bat wings were connected to.

Liam stood up as he looked at Ventus Nightmare with a a stoic look on his face. "When Light and Darkness unite in harmony, a nightmarish power is born. This is Nightmare Form!" Liam said as Way to the Dawn appeared in his left hand and Obsidian Vanguard in his right hand. Ventus Nightmare's charged towards Liam, but the Keyblade Wielder glided across the ground towards the Keyblade Armor.
               Liam delivers a cross slash to Ventus Nightmare's chest before unleashing a multitude of attacks. Liam then stabs Obsidian Vanguard into the ground before making Way to the Dawn disappear before summoning Waltzing White and Severing Shroud. Liam then spun around before delivering an even faster combos with his Keyblades. Liam then stabbed Waltzing White and Severing Shroud into the ground before summoning Red Riding Reaper and Gallant Gold. Liam then began attacking even faster as Ventus Nightmare couldn't do anything to protect himself from the onslaught of attacks.
Liam then stabbed Red Riding Reaper and Gallant Gold into the ground before summoning Way to the Dawn once again. Liam attacked Ventus Nightmare again, but his attack was blocked this time. "That Keyblade doesn't belong to you!" Liam shouted as he grabbed the corrupted Kingdom Key before kicking Ventus Nightmare away as he was now standing in the middle of all the a Keyblades Liam stabbed into the ground. The Kingdom Key was freed from the corruption before Liam flew high into the air with his wings as he looked down at Ventus Nightmare. Light and Dark energy connected the five Keyblades in the ground as it formed the image of a crown.

Darkness coated Way to the Dawn as Light Coated the Kingdom Key. Liam dice bombed Ventus Nightmare before landing in front of him and unleashing a combo at blinding speeds with his two Keyblades before stabbing them into the ground in front of him. "Kingdom of Dusk and Dawn!!!" Liam shouted as a beam of Darkness and Light erupted from the crown symbol as he jumps out of the barrier. Once the column of Light and Darkness died down as the Keyblade Armor cracked before shattering off Zane's body and all Keyblade's, accept the Kingdom Key disappeared.
Nightmare Form faded as Liam panted in exhaustion. "That, was one hell of a rush! I'm sleeping for like a week after this!" Eros said with a laugh before going silent once again. Liam watched as the Darkness dispersed as he ran up to Zane, who disappeared before he could reach him. "Zane!" Liam shouted as he watched his friend disappeared. Liam looked down at the Kingdom Key before picking it up and pointing it at the ground. "Don't worry Zane, I'm coming for you!" Liam said as he opened another gate with the Kingdom Key before entering it.

Liam woke up on a very familiar beach as he slowly stood up. "The Destiny Islands? Why am I here?" Liam said as he looked around the island as he spotted someone standing on the docks. Liam ran up to the figure as he turned to look at him.

"Naxez? What are you doing here?" Liam asked his best friend's Nobody who looked at him. "What are you afraid of?" Naxez asked as Liam was taken aback by the question, but quickly regained his composure. "I'm afraid of losing the people I care about." Liam said as Naxez nodded before disappearing. Liam then saw someone standing on the beach as he began making his way towards the other figure. The figure that turned to face him, who looked eerily similar to Naxez, but Liam knew who this person was as well.

"Ventus? Okay what is going on here?" Liam asked as he hoped for some kind of answer to this. "What do you fight for?" Ventus asked as Liam let out a sigh as he was still not getting any answers. "What I fight for? To protect the people I care about and those who can't protect themselves." Liam said as Ventus nodded before disappearing just like Naxez did earlier. Liam then noticed a what appeared to be a girl in robes sitting on a tree. "I was not ready for today." Liam mumbled to himself as he made his way to the tree and saw that the girl had short black hair and was wearing Organization 13 robes.

"Xion? Okay who else is on this Island right now?" Liam asked as he was starting to get sick of this whole situation. "What do you desire most?" Xion asked as Liam let out a frustrated sigh as it was just another question. "Another question huh? I desire to protect people from Organization 13 and Xehanort." Liam said as Xion smiled at him before disappearing like Naxez and Ventus did as Liam made his way to the shoreline as he noticed a bottle floating in the water as Liam grabbed it and picked it up.
             Liam heard someone walking up behind him as he turned around to see an older man with blonde hair and wearing robes.

"What a second, Ansem the Wise?" Liam said in surprise at the sight of the genius. "Hello young man, I see you found the data I stored within Zane." Ansem said as he looked over at him. "Data? I came here to wake Zane up, what data?" Liam asked as Ansem let out a small chuckle at his words. "Young Zane is sleeping again? My he's quite the problem child isn't he?" Ansem said as Liam joined in on the laugh as well. "Yeah, what am I going to do with him?" Liam said as both of the shared another laugh as they looked out over the ocean in silent thought for a moment.
                Ansem turned to look at Liam as he decided to continue. "Zane is an interesting individual. Most end up destroying their Nobody when they regain themselves, get Zane saw Naxez as a person so he sheltered him in his Heart. I believe young Zane has the power to bring those thought lost back to the world of the living." Ansem explained as Liam nodded his head in understanding. "Yeah, that sounds like Zane, he wouldn't want a friend to be destroyed to save him." Liam said as he looked down at the bottle. "Young Zane should be awake, go join him." Ansem said as a Liam nodded before summoning the Kingdom Key and opened a gateway in the sky before he began floating.
              "Young man, I don't think you ever gave me your name." Ansem said as he stopped Liam before he left. "It's Liam, Liam Nikos! Thank you Ansem the Wise." Liam said before he flew through the gateway leaving Ansem alone on Destiny Island. "The worlds are in good hands with someone with a Heart as Heroic as yours Liam Nikos. Good luck." Ansem said to himself before he walked away to another part of Destiny Island as everything was silent once again.

Back in Ozpin's Office
Liam slowly opened his eyes as he saw Mickey, Ozpin, and Salem looking down at him. "Liam! Thank goodness your okay!" Salem said as she hugged him with tears in her eyes. "I'm back grandmother, where's Zane?" Liam asked as Mickey stepped to the side to see him with Donald and Goofy working on something. "Grandmother, Grandfather. I met my mom and dad in there. Dad said hey forgives both of you." Liam said as both Ozpin and Salem got slightly choked up at his words. Liam slowly stood up as he made his way towards Zane, who turned to face him.
             "Liam! Your back! I was asleep there for so long, but I heard you calling out to me the entire time! Thanks for coming to get me." Zane said as he playfully punches Liam in the arm. "Hey, what are friends for?" Liam said before they heard someone clear their throat as everyone turned to look at Master Yen Sid. "Now then, both of you have taken the Mark of Mastery to obtain the Power of Waking. While both of you did wonderful, only one of you passed the test." Yen Sid said as both Liam and Zane held their breaths at Yen Sid's words as they waited for an answer.
            Yen Sid then pointed to Liam. "Liam Nikos, I name you our newest true Keyblade Master!" Yen Sid said as Liam's eyes widened in surprise at his words. "You did it Liam! Your a Keyblade Master now!" Zane said as he pulled his friend into a headlock. "You act like you passed Zane." Donald said as Zane's smile only grew bigger. "Of course I'm happy! My best friend became a Keyblade Master!" Zane said as he finally let Liam go who was still in shock. "Me? A Keyblade Master?" Liam said in disbelief as he still couldn't comprehend it. "Yes Liam, you learned what having a Heroic Heart truly means and we're successful in waking Zane's Heart. Your parents would be proud." Yen Sid said as Liam smiled before nodding as the group decided to celebrate the occasion together and let everyone else know.

So Liam achieved his most powerful Drive Form, Nightmare Form! He also defeated Ventus Nightmare and saved Zane! Now Liam has earned the rank of Keyblade Master! Although we still have to see how everyone is doing after the failed attack on Beacon Academy! How will Liam and his friends handle getting back to day to day life? What are everyone's plans? And what will Liam do with his new position as a Keyblade Master? Find out in the Epilogue of RWBY: Let Your Heart Be Your Guiding Key!
