1 month and a half later

There was someone walking with a navy blue jumpsuit, and also wearing a helmet. The man was repairing a plane turnine engine with a few other people, but a alarm sound was made, and they walked to the exit meaning is lunch time. They all walked to a fast food, as everyone sat as a group, all but one who was just eating a hamburger on a fast food inside with a coke, they guy took his helmet off and it was Garou eating the burger. He kept eating until when he heard someone open the door, he looked and saw Ruby and Yang, he didn't care and kept eating with no care in the world. He kept eating until he saw someone put a plate with a burger, french fries and a coke, as he looked neutrally and saw Yang.

Yang: *singing* Helloooooooooo

Garou looks at her but keeps eating as she sits and Ruby comes out of nowhere sitting with him.

Yang: Soooooo... why are you dressed as a mechanic? Looks weird on you?

Garou sigh and decided to make a small conversation to not anger here during his lunch.

Garou: I'm a mechanic engineer.

Ruby: Weren't you a Martial Artist?

Garou: I need money, so I'm working to get a few to at least be able to get a house and for food.

Yang: Dude, just enter Beacon and there you have everything, a home, free food, a comfy bed and training exercises.

Garou: That includes teaching of History, Science and all the basics, no thanks I know enough.

Yang: Aw come on, kitty cat has mentioned you dozens of times during the month.

Garou still had a neutral face, as he finished eating and got up to put the food in the trash.

Yang: Where you're going?

Garou: To work.

Yang: Can we at least come with you?

Garou: *putting his helmet on* No.

Garou walks away to get back to the factory.

Hours later

Garou and 5 other guys were working in the same plane turbine engine, as Garou puts a screwdriver in the table and cleans a little but of sweat in his face, as he starts to work on the fuel injection for a few minor touches as a guy pats Garou's back.

Guy: Go to the control center and when I say turn it on, turn it.

Garou walks to the control center, as he checked by the computers about the status of the turbine. Garou gets ready as the workers take a few step back and walk to the room Garou is.

Guy: Ok noobie, turn it on.

Garou started to turn the turbine slowly but it wasn't showing any sign of damage or anything.

Guy: A little bit more higher.

Garou turns it higher and still no sign of exploding or anything, as Garou started to turn it down as everyone sigh knowing that nothing happened.

Guy 2: We're in a good place now, we can proceed to step 2.

But when they were about to keep working, the alarm of exit was ringed and everyone puts their stuff in the table and walk away, they put on a snow jacket and walk outside, with the chief holding a bunch of cards.

Chief: Ok, is Christmas break, enjoy your weeks of December, get your cards and Merry Christmas to all of you.

Every worker walk past the chief getting their cards and also wishing Merry Christmas to him, last was Garou, which the chief stops him.

Chief: Son, is there anyone you're going to spend Christmas with?

Garou: Yeah... I'm taking my leave.

Garou grabbed the card and walked away. It was snowing and there were a lot of people together, as Garou opens the card and takes an amount of 400 liens.

Garou: *mentally* 400 liens... I should use it for food and a little entertainment.

Garou looks at a theater and sigh just to walk there. He was watching a Christmas movie but he was sort of bored and left mid movie with the coke, he walked outside and it was already night, even after being for almost 4 months in Remnant, there isn't anything for him to do, this is like his 5th job and still not satisfied with what to do with his life. Garou bought an ice cream and sat in a bench in a park.

He sigh and keeps eating his ice cream, as an old man sits by his side.

Old man: Beautiful, isn't it?

Garou: I... guess...

Old man: You look alone, son. Has life not been treating you well?

Garou: Well... it has, but it's just that... no... life has not been good.

Old man: I see it, son.

Garou: What did you do? When you only had eyes on one thing but when you realized that your goal would never be achievable?

Old man: I don't understand the question?

Garou: I mean, I have one goal for 9 years, just to realize 4 months ago, that my dream, my goal, my vision... it would never be achievable. Where do I go now?

Old man: Where your heart leads you too.

Garou: My heart is pitch black, colorless, with no feeling, my heart only wants me to kill myself.

Old man: There has to be a flame inside of it, at least a small one.  Check deeper inside of you young one, is there a lead, someone, somewhere you want or can go?

Garou: There is one... but if I go there, I'll just repeat the cycle again.

Old man: What is it?

Garou: *sigh* Beacon... but if I go there, I'm scared that my origin begins once again, the bully, abuse, I'm scared I start that cycle again.

Old man: That was in one school... there's good people and bad people, but looking at you, you have the power to stop all that.

Garou: I tried once, and it failed.

Old man: Then try again, you look like a guy who has been alone for the rest of his life, by losing, you have the chance to achieve victory. Why go to Beacon?

Garou: I thought that with fear, everyone would unite, but... I was wrong, I was taught that Justice and Evil are nothing but bullshit. Then if fear won't unite the world, what will?

Old man: Hope, Peace, Friendship, not always the route of evil is the key to peace, sometimes is action what determines that.

Garou: That all lies in justice.

Old man: It may, but Justice isn't saving people and giving hope, sometimes Justice is to do what you think is for the greater good, Evil is to do things for yourself, I see that even when you don't consider that a true thing, you did do Justice, only that they didn't see it.

Garou stays looking at his ice cream, as he just sigh and looks at the old man.

Old man: Maybe it's time to break out of that shell, son.

Garou looks down and smiles a little as he eats his ice cream in one bite.

Garou: Thanks for the pep talk old man, I really needed it.

Garou just walked away with both hands in his pockets.

Hours Later

Garou was in a roof, waiting for someone, as he hears a step and smirks.

Garou: What the hell took you so long, Old Geezer?

Garou looked back and saw Ozpin with a smile.

Ozpin: You finally ready to join my school?

Garou: No... but is the only place I can go, don't expect me following your rules.

Ozpin: It's better than nothing.

Garou scoffed as he saw an aircraft behind Ozpin as he sigh and stands up.

Garou: Do I have to do something to enter?

Ozpin: Not this time, we have you a room inside Beacon.

Garou: Good, I don't want visits while I sleep.

Ozpin: Good... let's get you there.

Ozpin puts a hand in Garou's shoulder, but he moves it in annoyance and walks to the aircraft.

Garou:*mentally* I'm regretting this already.

Ozpin: Don't worry, you won't.

Garou frowned as he kept walking to the aircraft with a pair of veins in his hands.

You're asking yourself "Why is Garou working as a mechanic?" I have two good reasons

1: In the manga, Garou stated himself that he is good with machinery and that was against Genos, so plane engines should be easier that machines so I believe he knows.

2: In the webcomic, the original manga created by ONE, The Neo Heroes hunt The Hero Hunter/Garou, and where is Garou... he is working by moving boxes, he is now The Job Hunter, he is the new UPS/FedEx worker, I'm not kidding, he is a part timer and he is moving boxes to a van, and when the owner tells Garou to repair his damages, Garou doesn't keep fighting Suiryu, he goes back to work... that's Garou now... Garou The Job Hunter.
