After stealing Ozma's Staff and defeating Team RWBY, Dark RWBY returned to their hideout Emerald Forest.

Sun Dragon Yang: Why didn't we kill them? We could've killed them easily.

Supreme Leader Blake: I'm with the Human. We could've killed them without effort.

Grimm Ruby: Our mission wasn't to kill Team RWBY. Our mission was Ozma's Staff and that's what we got.

Grimm Ruby smiled as she gripped Ozma's Staff in her hands. It wasn't long before Commander Weiss spoke up.

Commander Weiss: You two have no sense of tactical patience. It's best to know and study your enemies.

Sun Dragon Yang: And why bother with that? We ARE them! We know their moves before they make em! What's the use of taking notes?

Commander Weiss: How utterly short sighted of you. But what else do you expect from a filthy animal and a common thug.

Supreme Leader Blake: You'd be wise to hold your tongue, Schnee. I just may cut it off.

Sun Dragon Yang: I'd pay good money to see that. Are all Weiss's such a fucking pain in the ass or are you just that insufferable?

Grimm Ruby: There's no need to fight among ourselves, girls! We're a team! As for Team RWBY, we'll deal with them when the time comes.

As Grimm Ruby said that, she took the Staff into the area of the hideout where the ritual symbol was. She could feel the power within Ozma's Staff pulse with power. Commander Weiss soon follows.

Grimm Ruby: Weiss! Come to visit your best friend?

Commander Weiss: What's your stake in all this?

Grimm Ruby smiled as she planted the Staff next to the ritual symbol. Commander Weiss maintained an emotionless expression even as Grimm Ruby's smiled widened into an unnerving grin.

Grimm Ruby: You got my attention. Now why do you care?

Commander Weiss: I'm asking out of curiosity. I was promised power. Blake wants to start a Faunus Crusade. Yang wants to expand her gang. But what of you? What drives you?

Grimm Ruby: Curious, huh? How curious. I take it your Ruby Rose was....pretty naive. A little girl with dreams of being a Hero just like in the stories. Right?

Commander Weiss: Yes. She was insufferable. Like a child. Even at the moment of her death, Ruby refused to give up on such childish dreams.

Grimm Ruby: Your Ruby and me....and I'm guessing all other Ruby Roses are not so different from each other. I'm no exception. Well....except for one teeny tiny little detail. You see, I don't want to be like the Heroes in the stories. I...want to be the big bad monster. And unleashing the Dark Multiverse upon this world and others will make me EXACTLY that. A big....bad....monster. Is that the answer you wanted, bestie?

Grimm Ruby giggled like a child. Commander Weiss was silent for a moment, unsure of how to process this. It was clear that Grimm Ruby was different from her Ruby. But what unnerved her was that despite the clear evil in her, Grimm Ruby still maintained that childlike attitude. As if it was all a game to her.

Commander Weiss: For now, I'll go along with your insanity. But if you get in my way, I will kill you.

Dark Aerrow: Good luck with that.

Commander Weiss then leaves Grimm Ruby alone. Grimm Ruby smiled as everything was proceeding exactly as planned. Meanwhile, Ozpin had gathered Team RWBY in his office to discuss what had happened.

Yang: Who the heck were those guys out there and why did they look like us?

Blake: They....they looked like us but they seemed....different. Something wrong.

Weiss: Perhaps this is some new form of Grimm.

Ozpin: I'm afraid we're not dealing with Grimm, Miss Schnee. We're dealing with versions of you from an alternate world.

Upon hearing that, Team RWBY was stunned. They didn't know how to react.

Ruby: Alternate versions? What do you mean?

Ozpin: Our world is not the only one. There are many universes, forming a vast collective of universes. We call this collective...the Multiverse. In the beginning, there was only one. A single black infinitude. Then the infinitude found release, and, finally, the darkness broke, filling it with life. With the multiverse. Every existence multiplied by possibility. And spread out before space and time in infinite measure. Civilizations rose and fell. And rose again across reality's grasping expanse. But within this vast collective, there are worlds formed from every fear and bad decision we've made. This is called the Dark Multiverse.

Ruby: How do you know of this?

Ozpin: Within the vast Multiverse are those aware of this who act as watchmen and guides to maintain order and stability, myself included.

As Ozpin said this, Team RWBY was stunned by this. But then Ruby spoke up.

Ruby: I....I believe it.

Weiss: What makes you so sure?

Ruby: Based on what Jaune and the others told us, they acted exactly like us. They're....they're us....but bad.

Yang: But that still doesn't explain how or why they're here!

Ozpin: If we are dealing with denizens from the Dark Multiverse, then it can't be good. It is vital that this....Dark RWBY must be found and stopped.

Ruby: But how can we find them?

Ozpin: The relic they took....it is imbued with great power. It may be possible to track it.

Ozpin then hands Ruby a necklace.

Ozpin: This amulet should lead you straight to the Staff. And with luck, so will our....uninvited guests.

With that, Team RWBY set out on their mission to track down Dark RWBY. With this revelation now known, Team RWBY now knew what to expect, even if they didn't know how far this fight would take them both physically and mentally.
