this update is for a good friend of mine, nihaarika 🥰 who, dear readers of RUSSIAN DOLL, i have actually had the fortune of meeting and hanging with in person. take it from me, nihaarika is one of the loveliest people you'll encounter on this app. these covers are for her forthcoming rick flag fic, SHADOW, which i am so excited for, it's not funny.

i have been wanting to make a taskforce x comic cover for ages but haven't really had any reason to. so this was really fun, even though it was tricky finding good resources for rick. for nihaarika's oc sophie i used monet st. croix. i tried to make this cover more dynamic and so the characters are walking towards *us* with the title obscured. nihaarika requested a dark purple and blue colour scheme so i have honoured that, with two alt. versions.

there's also blood splattered everywhere because, well... it's suicide squad. it doesn't work without the gratuitous violence! fingers crossed sophie doesn't die in some brutal, bloody way.

anyways, nihaarika, i hope you like these! thank you so much for requesting, and thank you so much for your ongoing support of this book! i love you 🤍 and i'm so glad we're friends.
