this update is for karla's monster high fic TWIN FLAME. i took on this request because at first glance, it seemed like a challenge (in the best way!): karla has a specific polarr filter she uses for her account theme, and requested that—if possible—i use it for these covers, too. i totally understand the need to have your account be entirely cohesive, so this was me:

i've never used polarr before, so that was a new one for me. i considered trying to make the covers directly on my phone but (and this is genuinely the reason why i didn't) my phone was on like 30% when i started making these covers and i couldn't be fucked to go upstairs and grab my charger 🤣 so i decided to just make it on my laptop as usual and send the "base" covers between it and my phone while i configured everything to my liking.

it was a bit time consuming but polarr is very easy to use (especially in comparison to photoshop HAHA). my chief concern was that, in cover i. because of all of the green, cleo looks a bit like frankie? but i think if you look closely and see the little gem-thing i added it does set her apart. for the two different portrayals of the character po tritonson, i pretty much just went: percy jackson! and went ham with that. garth is the comic faceclaim i used for cover ii. since the graphic novel versions of percy didn't really work out.
