this update is not a cover request, or a surprise RUSSIAN DOLL lotto winner, but a secret third thing...

          and it's not even secret. it's just me forcing my current mcu agenda down my best friend's throat. hi kat 🤍 i am making RUSSIAN DOLL readers complicit in the ILLICIT AFFAIRS agenda. you can't stop me. and i will NEVER stop.

i honestly don't even like mcu!tony that much (i know you can co-exist, but i'm a cap girlie through and through). however, IA made me like him... and i just want to feel something again... and also, if i'm anything, i'm committed to the bit. kat tried to call my bluff, but 🚬🚬 i do this shit for the goddamn love of the game.

         🤣 it's been so long that kat's oc, juliet, and her appearance is a little up in the air. i recall her being blonde (???) but i couldn't find a faceclaim i liked in dc that fit the vibes of the original juliet. i ended up using erica slaughter from the something is killing the children comic book series. if i recall correctly, i've not made an iron man comic cover before, but honestly at this point it's been so long making these things that i could be totally wrong. i will say, i did really enjoy using the iron man series branding and design. it's a bit different to what i'm used to, which i would have to say is primarily spider-man comic design for marvel, and the current generic dc branding comic design for dc.

the current dc branding is very flexible and easy to use, and i've noticed most of the other creators on wattpad who have also started making comic covers often use that era of comic covers, too. it's characterised by its very minimalistic elements; a relatively thin barcode with a small dc icon somewhere in one of the upper corners, and a larger focus on the variant art instead of the titling. like i said, it's really easy to use and work with, but when there's iconic branding / logos / et cetera available for a character (like iron man, for example, or the x-men like you might have seen in previous updates) i have a lot of fun using it.

if anyone who writes capeshit fanfiction is reading this, i'd love to work on more x-men comic covers (specifically with gambit, magneto and storm); fantastic four comic covers; and doctor who comic covers. i would also like to make some more daredevil covers. my interests list in the requests chapter will be updated accordingly!

          i'm having a lot of fun with the memes so i'm going to keep adding them into my notes when they're relevant. and this meme, dear readers, is very relevant.
